HBO Max has ordered a six-episode docuseries on the rapper, who will pilot the audience through personal and creative stories about her life and career, according to a press release, via Variety, which says each episode will span half an hour. The docuseries is directed by Michael John Warren, who made his directorial debut with JAY-Z’s 2004 movie, Fade to Black. It’s an honor to be entrusted with this dynamic story.”

It’s unclear whether or not Nicki will include her son or husband, Kenneth Petty in the upcoming docuseries. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2019, welcomed their first child in late September or October (the exact date is unknown). Nicki gave birth just a few months months after announcing her pregnancy in a series of Instagram posts in July.

Serena Williams’ three-year-old daughter, Olympia, looked just like her mom while taking a water break during her tennis lesson! See the sweet new snap from Instagram!

Look out Melbourne Park, there’s a new tennis star making her way to the court! Serena Williams‘ three-year-old daughter, Olympia, looked absolutely adorable rocking a baby blue tennis dress with pink tennis racquet detailing in an Instagram post from November 19. The youngster, born Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., looked like she had put in quite a lot of work on the court, as she sat on her bench, pristine white tennis shoes and all, and took a healthy gulp of water from her Frozen-themed water bottle!

Right next to Olympia, holding a slew of tennis balls, was the animated version of her favorite little doll Qai Qai! The pic was taken for a fun caption contest for the youngster’s account, and fans were ready to serve their best lines. “Eyeing that first Grand Slam like,” one fan commented. Another chimed in with, “Next game, I got you mommy!” The pic was undeniably adorable, but it’s nothing new for little Olympia, who just started following in her mama’s footsteps!

Just one week before this recent picture was taken, Olympia looked just like her 23-time Grand Slam champion mom, 39, in a November 12 photo where she rocked a red tennis outfit. The look was almost exactly like the one Serena rocked during her quest for that elusive 24th Grand Slam title at the 2020 U.S. Open, where she fell in the semi-final to longtime peer and rival Victoria Azarenka. Since choosing to withdraw from the following Grand Slam, the French Open at Roland Garros, the tennis living-legend has been spending a lot of quality time with her baby girl.

The mother-daughter duo have been spending lots of time watching Paw Patrol and even singing the theme song a cappella! Of course, the fashion mogul and athlete is already gearing up for her next challenge — the 2021 Australian Open.

Serena is slated to compete in the first Grand Slam of the year in Melbourne Park, Australia. The last time Serena won a Grand Slam title was actually at the Australian Open back in 2017. Making the moment even more special, Serena was pregnant with her daughter at the time she played the championship match against her equally talented sister — Venus Williams! Fans are so excited to see Serena get back on the court. Perhaps in years to come, we’ll see Olympia serve, chip, and volley, too!

Ed Norton didn’t hold back while listing out the reasons why Donald Trump’s corruption runs deeper than just wanting to ‘make his base happy.’ The actor called him ‘whiny and vindictive.’

Ed Norton called out Donald Trump on Twitter in a scathing seven-tweet rant, condemning the president’s behavior after the 2020 election was called for Joe Biden. Calling him “whiny, sulky, and petulant,” Norton attacked Trump’s “desperate endgame” and shared some political insights he had learned from his father, a former federal prosecutor. “He taught me a lot and I’ve also sat a fair amount of poker [with] serious players, and l’ll say this: I do not think Trump is trying to ‘make his base happy’ or ‘laying the groundwork for his own network’ or that ‘chaos is what he loves,’” Norton tweeted. “The core of it is that he knows he’s in deep, multi-dimensional legal jeopardy and this defines his every action.”

…or that ‘chaos is what he loves’. The core of it is that he knows he’s in deep, multi-dimensional legal jeopardy & this defines his every action. We’re seeing 1) a tactical delay of the transition to buy time for coverup & evidence suppression 2) above all, a desperate endgame

— Edward Norton (@EdwardNorton) November 20, 2020

His ‘turn card’ bluff will be an escalation & his ‘River card’ bluff could be really ugly. But they have to be called. We cannot let this mobster bully the USA into a deal to save his ass by threatening our democracy. THAT is his play. But he’s got junk in his hand. So call him.

— Edward Norton (@EdwardNorton) November 20, 2020

Biden won the presidential election on November 7 after four exhausting days of ballot counting. Trump has refused to concede, and is actively pursuing lawsuits in a number of states, including Michigan and Pennsylvania where he alleges that widespread voter fraud occurred. Biden won more votes than any other presidential candidate in United States history, and there is no evidence of voter fraud. Trump is now actively rejecting the results of an election he lost fair and square and attempting a coup.

“We’re seeing 1) a tactical delay of the transition to buy time for coverup and evidence suppression. 2) above all, a desperate endgame which is to create enough chaos and anxiety about peaceful transfer of power, & fear of irreparable damage to the system, that he can cut a Nixon-style deal in exchange for finally conceding,” Norton tweeted. He compared it to Trump being dealt a bad hand of cards. Americans need to call his bluff.

But his contemptible, treasonous, seditious assault on the stability of our political compact isn’t about 2024, personal enrichment or anything else other than trying to use chaos & threat to the foundation of the system as leverage to trade for a safe exit. Call. His. Bluff.

— Edward Norton (@EdwardNorton) November 20, 2020

Faith in the strength of our sacred institutions & founding principles is severely stretched…but they will hold. They will. He’s leaving, gracelessly & in infamy. But if we trade for it, give him some brokered settlement, we’ll be vulnerable to his return. We can’t flinch.

— Edward Norton (@EdwardNorton) November 20, 2020

Norton really didn’t mince words when he went on to describe Trump as “a whiny, sulky, petulant, Grinchy, vindictive little 10-ply-super-soft b***h who no doubt is just throwing a wicked pout fest and trying to give a tiny-hand middle finger to the whole country for pure spite, without a single thought for the dead and dying… His contemptible, treasonous, seditious assault on the stability of our political compact isn’t about 2024, personal enrichment or anything else other than trying to use chaos and threat to the foundation of the system as leverage to trade for a safe exit.”

The Fight Club star concluded by stressing that although Trump will be out of the White House in January — even if he goes kicking and screaming — Americans shouldn’t let their guard down. If we “give him some brokered settlement, we’ll be vulnerable to his return. We can’t flinch,” he tweeted.

Rising music sensation Isaac Dunbar just kicked off the next chapter of his career by announcing his new EP and dropping ‘love, or lack thereof.’ He tells HL EXCLUSIVELY how ‘the negative aspects of love’ inspired his new song.

For every day, there is a night. For every light, there is a shadow. For every joyful moment of romantic bliss, there are some not-so-great moments that come with being in love. This duality is deftly captured on “love, or lack thereof,” the new song from your new favorite singer, Isaac Dunbar. The teenage artists, who will soon be filling up the playlists from all the people whose tastes you respect, announced the next phase in his rise to the top of the music world on Nov. 20. Along with his new song, the Barnstable, Massachusetts native shared that he will release his third EP, evil twin, in February 2021.

“I named the ep evil twin because all the songs have such a different feeling to my previous work,” Isaac tells HollywoodLife. Though he just turned 17, Isaac has already built himself a buzz with his sharp songwriting and enchanting voice. The chemistry is visible in the haunting visual accompanying “love, or lack thereof.” There’s beauty in the visual’s simplicity, one that sees Isaac balance between euphoria and misery while sitting precariously on a diving board. It’s a brilliant metaphor, one emblematic of the music found on his prior release – isaac’s insects – and what fans can expect when evil twin drops in a few months.

Isaac shared some info about “love, or lack thereof” with HollywoodLife, the nature behind his new EP’s title, and what “evil” aspect he wishes he had more of.

HollywoodLife: “love, or the lack thereof” seemingly applies the concept of ‘negative space’ to romance. What inspired this take on the subject? And is there a particular line you’re proud of on the song?

Isaac: I would say what inspired me to write about the negative aspects of love would be hearing all these gushy-gushy love songs on the radio, like the top 40 hits. I don’t know, I got really sick of hearing about all good stuff ‘baby I want you so bad’ like, ‘I love you, baby.” [laughs]. In that song, I do talk about the positive aspects, but I feel like it would be really important for someone to touch upon the good and bad, and I believe I’ve did that pretty well

And I’m very proud of the lyric “if I’m all yours, then take me back.” It’s such a simple lyric, but when you hear the song, you can really feel what I’m saying, I would say

Isaac Dunbar, coming to you in high-def (Harshvardhan Shah)

Your next ep is titled Evil Twin. Why did you christen it that?

I named the ep Evil Twin because all the songs have such a different feeling to my previous work, and in that, I mean, I feel like I’ve unlocked a different part of myself. I’m growing up, of course, as everyone is. I’m 17, and I dropped my last EP when I was 16, and I have such a newfound level of confidence. And, when I say evil for “evil twin,” I don’t mean it in a negative way, l feel like — you know –how someone would say “Bad” like “oh that’s so bad” like “that beat is so bad” sometimes I mean it in a good way like oh that’s so hard like  “Evil Twin.”

Is there an “evil” quality that you wish you had? For instance, people who are called “ambitious” are often those who work hard at achieving a singular goal. Like, if you had an evil twin, is there one aspect that would make you say, ‘Damn, I wish I was more like that?

I have a newfound confidence that I didn’t have previously, and I am so proud of this record, and I feel like that translates more than ever!

love, or lack thereof” is out now.

‘A Million Little Things’ creator DJ Nash broke down all the crucial developments of the season 3 premiere in our EXCLUSIVE interview. Spoilers ahead!

The A Million Little Things crew is heading into uncharted territory in season 3. The Nov. 19 premiere picked up in the immediate aftermath of Eddie’s accident. Eddie survived the hit and run, but he’s been paralyzed. Meanwhile, Rome and Regina mourned the loss of their child in different ways, and Maggie started the next chapter of her life in Oxford.

HollywoodLife got the EXCLUSIVE scoop from A Million Little Things boss DJ Nash about what’s next. While it may seem like Alex’s father is the one who hit Eddie, DJ teased that everything is not what it seems. The mystery behind who hit Eddie will extend throughout season 3. Plus, he weighed in on Maggie’s unexpected new roommate, how Darcy will fit into the group, and more. Read our Q&A below.

The crew supported Katherine after Eddie’s accident. (ABC)

First off, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. I saw the ending of the episode, and my thoughts are with you. When it comes to A Million Little Things, Eddie has survived the accident, but things have changed dramatically for him. Going forward, how is he going to adapt to what his life is now?
DJ Nash: I will say that you could not have started this interview better. I met the most amazing man I’ll ever meet in my life when I was 30 seconds old. My dad was blind, and he never let the fact that he couldn’t see keep him from being the father we needed him to be and he wanted to be. We’re going to watch Eddie go on this journey. He’s in a wheelchair now, and he is not going to be the dad he thought he was going to be. He is not going to be the husband he thought he was going to be. It’s at first going to tear him apart. It’s going to be so hard for him, and we’re going to watch him take this journey to redefine who he is. You saw after Jon died this group of friends redefine the promises they make to each other and to themselves. As I said to everyone in teasing the story, Katherine and Theo’s life will never be the same. That’s absolutely true. Doesn’t mean negative. Doesn’t mean positive. It just means it’ll be different, and that’s what we’re going to watch.

Eddie’s whole life has been turned upside down. There was that moment when the doctor gave him oxycodone, and he didn’t want to take it. There’s a fine line there with his past addiction struggles, and he doesn’t want to get wrapped up in that world again either.
DJ Nash: That’s not a question. That’s a statement, and I agree with your statement. Yes, it is challenging. I think all of the things that he would normally be facing are made more complicated because certain remedies and reliefs aren’t available to him.

So, is the man in the truck at the end of the premiere Alex’s dad?
DJ Nash: Yes.

My next question is, Alex’s dad was also waiting outside the bar Eddie was at but is he the same person that hit Eddie?
DJ Nash: Well, I will say it looks that way. It definitely looks that way.

Katherine, Eddie, and Theo’s lives changed dramatically in the season 3 premiere. (ABC)

Is there a reason why you did not show the exact car that hit Eddie? The show just panned to Alex’s dad calling 911.
DJ Nash: You’re a very smart viewer. I mean, something happened in the first season when we put Constance Zimmer in the pews of that church. Our fans learned that just when you think it’s something, it’s not, which is sort of the message of our show. And then just when you think Rome is going to take his life, it’s Jon. Just when you think Eddie was having an affair with the mother of his guitar student, it’s Delilah. I think our show does what life does, which is just when you think you know something or someone, you don’t. We saw Mitch, PJ’s dad, be very violent and angry, but it really was coming from a love and protection he had for his son. At the beginning of the pilot, Katherine’s very unlikeable. And yet, by the end of his first season, you fall in love with her. So in a similar way here, we’re watching a situation. It might be that the Reverend out of anger hit Eddie, but maybe it’s not. We’re following the mystery of who it was. If it was the Reverend, which does appear like it might be, why would he do that? Why would he seek out revenge? What is he hiding?

The Reverend clearly has an emotional tie to Eddie. Will we continue to see him in season 3?
DJ Nash: The death of Alex affected Lindsay, Eddie’s sister, tremendously. And it’s now affecting Eddie so much so that he just couldn’t let it go. It brought him to almost drink. It brought him to, in an indirect way, with fate and ending up in that wheelchair. I think as he tries to come to terms with how fair or unfair he feels the world is there’s a man who’s lost his daughter and has been struggling with that for years. When these two finally meet or encounter each other or confront each other, I think both those things will lead to a very, very moving scene.

I think Darcy is such a great addition to the show. What can you say about how Darcy and Gary’s relationship is going to continue as Maggie starts this new chapter at Oxford?
DJ Nash: What I can say is that I love this writers’ room. Especially now during COVID, the ability to come to work, even if it’s over Zoom, is really exceptional because we all push each other and care about the show so much. I think the decision to make Darcy initially Catherine’s friend, so that she wasn’t just another girlfriend Gary was bringing into the group, has a really interesting domino effect on this. So she does initially feel close to the group because, in some ways, she’s Katherine’s best friend that we didn’t know about. Floriana [Lima] herself is so likable both on camera and off, that she naturally fit into this group of characters. As writers, we’re torn. Obviously, we’re telling a Maggie and Gary love story, but it seems as though at least these next few chapters, Gary’s attention is somewhere else. We’re going to see how that plays out for him and how Maggie’s story plays out. There’s a twist where they are thrown into each other’s lives very, very suddenly.

Darcy and Gary’s relationship is going strong. (ABC)

When Maggie arrives in London, she meets her new roommate, Jamie, played by Chris Geere. They get off to an interesting start. Where does that relationship go? Could he be a potential love interest?
DJ Nash: What I will say is one of the most thrilling things about being in season 3 of the show is that we have access to people like we haven’t had before. Chris Geere was the actor we had in mind when we wrote the part, so the fact that we got him is just incredible. He’s funny, and he’s also playing the emotion in such a beautiful way. We just couldn’t be more thrilled that he’s joined our family. In terms of what’s going on for Maggie, I think from the very beginning of our series, we have loved the sort of unusual way people meet other characters. Whether it’s Gary and Maggie in a cancer remission group, whether it’s Constance Zimmer coming into a chapel and complimenting Eddie on his eulogy, or Darcy being friends with Katherine first, there’s kind of an interesting way in which we introduce the characters and how that initial introduction continues to comment on the relationship throughout his journey. With that in mind, Jamie and Maggie meet in very unfortunate circumstances. They’re not supposed to live together.  He thought he was having a male roommate. She thought she was having a female roommate, and she inadvertently breaks up their relationship when she walks in the door. The result of that and how that forms their relationship is something we’ll continue to follow throughout the season.

Rome and Regina are still in the immediate aftermath of losing their baby. While Rome is ready to get the next baby thinking this is their second chance, Regina is not ready. How will their approaches to accepting what has happened impact their relationship?
DJ Nash: It’s so interesting because in some ways, they’re in exactly the same place. They’re both dealing with the devastating loss of their child. It’s the way in which they’re dealing with that are so very different. Rome’s decision to go try and get that Lenox baby was sort of his response. How do I fix this? How do I erase this? Whereas Regina is appropriately feeling like: how do I mourn this? I think the loss of this baby, in some ways, is analogous to the death of a child. I’ve been married for 21 years now. I feel like we’re going to make it. I think the only thing that could potentially challenge our marriage would be if we lost a child. I think what they’re dealing with is so painful. A year ago, Regina was all set to have a life without kids. And now because of Rome, she’s feeling this void. So there’s a certain amount of anger, and there’s a certain amount of hurt. I think from Rome’s perspective, they could have had that baby. So there’s a certain amount of anger, and there’s a certain amount of hurt from him. I think what they’re going to be challenged with this season is deciding if that’s going to bring them closer together or will it not?

Barack Obama proved he knows how to use a Navy Seal team when it came to taking out Osama Bin Laden. Now he’s joking that the elite soldiers might be needed to remove Donald Trump from the White House.

Despite the 2020 presidential election being called for Joe Biden on Nov. 7, Donald Trump is still refusing to concede and making false claims of voter fraud. His predecessor President Barack Obama is now joking about what it will take to get Trump to leave the White House if he refuses to go willingly come Jan. 20, 2021, which is Biden’s inauguration date. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Nov. 19, Jimmy Kimmel asked the former POTUS if there was “a place somebody could hide in the White House if they knew they were going to be removed” — and Obama’s response was hysterical. “Well, I think we can send some navy seals in to dig him out,” he replied.

Then-President Obama famously used the Navy’s Seal Team Six to carry out the raid on terrorist Osama bin Laden‘s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 2, 2011, killing the 9-11 mastermind. While Trump of course isn’t a murderous foreign terrorist, some are beginning to wonder legitimately what will happen if he refuses to commit to a peaceful transition of power, as all presidents have done throughout history. So far Trump has done all he can to obstruct and delay any transition to Biden’s team, and continues to make denials that Biden won the election. Even former First Lady Michelle Obama has begged Trump to honor the respectful transition of power.

So that’s why his new book is so long! 🤣🤣🤣 @BarackObama on Kimmel tonight! pic.twitter.com/hhxTE0qBIj

— Jimmy Kimmel Live (@JimmyKimmelLive) November 19, 2020

Obama appeared on Kimmel to promote his memoir A Promised Land. Jimmy noted that the book is 701 pages long, and asked if the 58-year-old did that on purpose to that the infamously reading-averse Trump wouldn’t pick it up. “You know I don’t think it would have had to be 700 pages,” for that to happen, Obama joked in return.

This marked the first stop on our 44th president’s  video book tour for his memoir, showing us what a dignified, intelligent and humorous POTUS we had for two terms. During his interview with Kimmel, Obama cracked jokes, told stories about his eight years of life in the White House and got asked the question if he and Michelle “made love” on the night the of the successful raid that killed bin Laden. Oh yeah, Jimmy went there!

Obama’s memoir went on sale on Nov. 17, 2020 and should be heading straight to the top of the non-fiction best-sellers list for some time to come. His wife Michelle’s memoir Becoming was the top selling book of 2018 after only 15 days on the market, moving two million copies in just over two weeks following its release on Nov. 13, 2018. Within five months it had gone on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide, and became one of the best selling memoirs of all time. While that is a hard act to follow, Barack Obama is probably one of the only people alive whose memoir could overtake wife Michelle’s monster numbers. What a power couple!

It’s true – Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber are on the same song, and it’s a ‘Monster’ of a track (and video). However, ‘monster’ is what the Canadian pop stars are worried people will see them as if they’re knocked down from their ‘pedestals.’

The entire nation of Canada is smiling right now because Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber have finally collaborated on a song. What was once thought impossible – especially since Justin, 26, married Shawn’s ex, Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) – became reality on Nov. 20, as Shawn, 22, continued to roll out new music ahead of his new album, Wonder. One such song was “Monster”, a track on which Shawn and Justin take a long and hard look at themselves and wonder: if they “trip” or “fall” from their “pedestals,” does that make them the “monster”?

The song appeared to send a message about the scorn that has accompanied Shawn and Justin’s icon statuses, as Justin admits he made some “bad moves” since he was “upset” by the “jealousy” he’s had to deal with from critics since ascending to fame in his teens. For the music video, Shawn and Justin make this message about standing on a “pedestal” quite literal by climbing on a blank white building together while taking turns to deliver their emotional verses. Before the music video dropped, the collaborators also filmed a live stream together, which you can watch below.

Shawn and Justin first sparked speculation of a collaboration in August, when Biebs and Hailey, 23, were seen visiting Shawn’s home studio on Aug. 20. Even though the situation could have been awkward since Hailey and Shawn used to date – they famously attended the 2018 Met Gala together as a couple – things were really good between Justin and Shawn. Biebs “knows Shawn’s talent and would be happy to work with him on future collaborations and also be his friend,” a source told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.

However, the appearance only sent the boys’ respective fandoms into overdrive over this possible collaboration. When Shawn appeared on Britain’s Capital FM Breakfast with Roman Kemp on Oct. 6, the host asked Shawn if it was true that he “turned down” a chance to work with Justin on a song. Shawn did his best to step around the question. “Is this you trying to get me to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber? That I didn’t last month, is that what you’re saying?” Shawn replied, slyly. “If I turned one down, that would be insane considering he’s been one of my favorite artists since I was like nine-years-old.”

“I cannot confirm or deny,” said Shawn, before adding that In the last six months he and Justin “definitely become a lot closer. It’s really cool to have him has a mentor in a lot of ways, just to kind of talk through stuff a little bit cause there’s not many people who do this type of stuff.”

There was a time when there was a perceived rivalry between Shawn and Justin. Some fans thought that Justin’s line on DJ Khaled’s “No Brainer” (“Him or me, be for real, baby, it’s a no brainer”) was shade against Shawn, since Justin rekindled his romance with Hailey weeks after she and Mendes called it quits. A year later, Justin joked around after The Observer Magazine dubbed Shawn the “Prince of Pop.” Biebs took umbrage at this crowning and responded like a good Hoser. “Hmm ‘Gonna have to break a few more records to dethrone my title there bud (canadian voice)… but if you want we can play hockey for it but I heard you’re a real bender on the ice we could just drop the buckets and tilt for it,” wrote Justin.

Before anyone got twisted about it, Justin added, “There is no competition and it as a playful joke people relax… there’s no sides we’re all just here to make dope music. I’m just competitive as is he so it was just a little playful jargon.” As for the Hockey challenge, Shawn responded with, “LOL any time any day you just let me know!!!!!!”

‘Cake Boss’ star Buddy Valastro suffered a major injury to his hand during a bowling accident. Now he’s opening up about his tough recovery and what it could mean for his baking career.

Buddy Valastro, 43, says he may never recover enough strength in his injured fingers to make his beloved confections again. The Cake Boss star, who nearly lost his hand after it got stuck in a bowling alley pin setting machine, told ET that he’s taking his recovery one day — and one cake — at a time.

“Well, I’m feeling good, you know, I feel like I’m in good spirits trying to look at the glass half full versus half empty,” he shared with the news outlet. “I’m, you know, just trying to recover and get all my strength back and see exactly what the full extent of everything is gonna wind up being, you know, because it’s still a little unforeseen. But the positives, I still have my hand right. I could’ve lost fingers and could’ve went through my wrist and been a lot worse. So, I’m taking it day by day and cake by cake.”

“Right now, realistically, you know, the scars have healed up,” he continued. “It’s very, very stiff. I don’t really have as much motion, as much strength, dexterity … So, it’s really just a matter of continuing to do rehab. I’d say I’m probably at, like, 10 or 15 percent of the strength that I used to have. … It’s just really gonna be a matter of time to see exactly what comes back with the nerve too. … And a lot of, like, nerve damage, so my fingers are kinda numb in the middle, you know? They’ll always feel numb and stiff … and we’ll see what happens.”

Buddy revealed that he’s already undergone three surgeries and may need two or three more. It all depends on how his physical therapy and healing goes over the next year, but he acknowledged that he may never be able to make his famous cakes again.

“Honestly, I don’t know how much I’m going to be able to do,” he shared. “I can assure you and everybody — again, whether I have to do a left-handed, a thirty percent — I’m going to try to do it with all of my heart. I just don’t know, you know, I might be like a boxer who’s got the heart but ain’t got the tools anymore and hope to God that that’s not the case and only time will tell.”

“It’s a reality of what it is,” he continued. “Look, I’m not the kind of guy — even though I don’t make every single thing with my own two hands, I still put a lot of my own touch on things, right? — and the fact is, if I can, if I can’t, I don’t want to be the coach, right? And just saying, ‘Guys, do this, do this, do this,’ I could do that. [But] I want to be the guy when it’s fourth and goal to say, ‘Give me the ball and run in for the touchdown.’ I’m not ready to be on the sidelines yet, so I don’t know what the transition is going to be or what capacity things are, you know, going to end in.”

The horrible accident happened when Buddy was trying to fix a pinsetter in the bowling alley inside of his family’s home. “There was a malfunction with the bowling pinsetter, a common fix in the past, but turned into a terrible accident,” his rep previously told PEOPLE. “After trying to release the bowling pin from the cage mechanism, his right hand became lodged and compressed inside the unit. Unable to remove his hand, he can see a 1-1/2″ metal rod slowly and repeatedly impale his hand three times between his ring finger and middle finger.”

Buddy revealed during his interview with Entertainment Tonight that he has gone back to the bowling alley in his home since the accident. “I actually went for the first time with the camera crew last week, and it was pretty intense,” he said. “It was emotional, I would say.”

Although it’s still uncertain if he’ll ever be able to compete on camera again, Buddy told ET that he hasn’t given up hope. “It’s hard to say right now, I will do everything in my power,” he shared. “I am not throwing in the towel yet and we are trying to film now but not competing yet, just really trying to get my training and my level up, but you could take it from me, I am going to do everything in my power — whether I got to do it left-handed, whether I got to do it with 30 to 40 percent of what I got — I will give everything I got no matter what.”

Shots fired. In a track that sampled Biggie Smalls’ iconic ‘Who Shot Ya?’ track, Megan Thee Stallion accused Tory Lanez of shooting her with a ‘.22’ — just two days after Tory pleaded not guilty to the shooting.

A month after Tory Lanez was charged over the July shooting of Megan Thee Stallion (and two months after he released an entire album about the assault allegations,) Megan seemingly sent the shade right back. In “Shots Fired,” the track that opens up Meg’s new album, Good News, the 25-year-old Houston native fires right away at Tory: “You shot a 5’10” b-tch, with a .22.” It was just one of many lines that directly alluded to their legal battle, included ones like, “Who a snitch? I ain’t never went to the police with no names” (in a live stream in August, Megan explained why she didn’t immediately report Tory to the police).

Megan did not hold back. “And if it weren’t for me, same week, you would have been indicted,” she raps on another line, and says on another, “He talkin’ ’bout his followers, dollars and goofy s–t / I told him, ‘You’re not poppin’, you just on a remix’.” There’s more significance to this track beyond the disses, too — the entire song is a sample of Biggie Smalls‘ classic 1994 track, “Who Shot Ya?” (Biggie was later shot to death in 1997).

Tory (legal name Daystar Peterson) was charged on Oct. 8 over his alleged role in the July 12 shooting of Megan (legal name Megan Pete.) Just two days before Megan’s diss track dropped, Tory pleaded not guilty to the shooting, per TMZ. While the exact specifics of what exactly happened remain unknown, Meg offered a deeper insight into the night of the shooting while speaking to GQ. After attending a pool party in Hollywood Hulls, she jumped into a SUV – while still wearing her bikini – with Tory and two others to head home. She had a bad feeling and got out of the car to try and hail a different ride, but her phone was dead, it was later, and she was only wearing a bikini. After getting back into the car, an argument brewed, and she got out again.

As it’s been reported, this is when Tory allegedly fired multiple shots at Megan’s feet, wounding her. “Like, I never put my hands on nobody,” she told GQ. “I barely even said anything to the man who shot me when I was walking away. We were literally like five minutes away from the house.” She claims that Tory begged her not to say anything and allegedly offered Megan and her friend money to stay quiet. When the cops arrived, Megan – aware of the heightened tensions of the George Floyd protests – didn’t say anything about Tory and the gun in his car.

A back-and-forth online happened, with many people accusing Megan of lying, or making memes that mocked her injuries/claims. Megan posted a now-deleted photo of her feet with stitches to prove she was shot, and ultimately named Tory as her alleged assailant. “Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own,” she tweeted. “It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.”

Ultimately, Tory was hit with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. In response to the charges, the Canadian rapper tweeted, “and the truth will come to the light …a charge is not a conviction. If you have supported me or meg thru this, I genuinely appreciate u.”

About a week before Tory was charged, he released DAYSTAR, a project that’s essentially a concept album based around Megan’s accusations (and how he was innocent, she was supposedly lying, and a bunch of other outrageous claims.) Despite its commercial success (debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200), it was poorly received. “A project too contemptible to be evaluated on any musical scale,” according to Complex, who said it was a “17-track tirade exploiting Megan’s pain, all in hopes to salvage his career and win favor from men who are just as fragile as him.”

Megan Thee Stallion celebrates the ‘body’ in a hot new music video with cameos from big names like Taraji P. Henson, and Kardashian rivals Jordyn Woods and Blac Chyna.

Though the weather has gotten a bit cold, it’s still “Hot Girl Summer” somewhere — or should we say “Hot Girl Fall”? Megan Thee Stallion has just shared the Good News, her debut studio album, along with a new music video for one of the tracks — “Body” — featuring just about all the “Hot Girls” of the industry. This included Empire actress Taraji P. Henson, 50, whom fans went wild over as she strut down the music video set’s runway in a fire red wig and leather bodysuit.

Asian Da Brat also makes a sexy cameo, including Jordyn Woods, 23, and Blac Chyna, 32! Interestingly, both women also had falling outs with the Kardashian family. Jordyn began hanging out with Megan after Kylie Jenner’s ex-best friend’s scandal with Tristan Thompson — however, Megan also filmed herself hanging out in the pool with Kylie on the very same night she accused Tory Lanez of shooting her in July, a separate scandal that has its own diss track on Megan’s new album.

Like the title suggests, “Body” is a celebration of the “body” itself. Megan raps in her new song, “The category is body, look at the way it’s sittin’ / That ratio so out of control, that waist, that a–, them titties.” It’s also fitting that she just dropped an inclusive clothing collection for Fashion Nova on Nov. 18, featuring a wide range in sizes.

It has been a busy year for Hot Girl Meg. In March, after having a judge grant her a temporary restraining order against 1501 Certified, Meg released her EP Suga. That same month, her song “Savage” went viral on TikTok, thanks to Keara Wilson’s choreography. Everyone – like everyone – was doing the #SavageChallenge, from Jessica Alba to Janet Jackson. The song got so big, Beyoncé – yes, that Beyoncé – jumped on the remix, which made the song hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. That wouldn’t be the only No. 1 Meg would score this year, as she returned to the top of the chart with Cardi B and “WAP.” In October, she released “Don’t Stop,” delivered a memorable appearance on Saturday Night Live, and was named Hip Hop Artists of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards. She also released “Girls In The Hood,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Freak.”

Her New York Times Op-Ed, “Why I Speak Up For Black Women,” was published months after a shooting involving fellow rapper Tory Lanez. Tory allegedly shot at Megan’s feet after an argument, wounding her. After not naming him as her assailant, Megan finally came out and accused him of shooting her. She was met with “insults, jokes, and memes,” according to GQ, which prompted her to tweet, “Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about, but this is my real life, and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.”

Tory was ultimately charged with one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He faces up to 22 years in prison, but pleaded not guilty to the shooting on Nov. 18, according to TMZ. Meanwhile, Megan is living her best life and dropping her debut studio album.

With Megan releasing the Good News, what does she expect for the future? “I want Black women to be louder,” she told GQ, who named her their Rapper of the Year. “I want us to be sassier. I want us to demand more, be more outspoken, keep speaking, and just keep demanding what you deserve. Don’t change—just get better. Grow from these situations. Don’t be beating yourself up about these situations, because that’d be a lot of problems too. I feel we keep this stuff in, and there’s some kind of way we flip it on ourselves. We didn’t fuck up—We didn’t do something wrong, and it’s like, ‘No, girl, relax. You just needed somebody to come stir the Kool-Aid.’ ”
