Kylie Jenner caused a stir by unfollowing her closest friends — including Sofia Richie and Victoria Villarroel – but a source tells us it was all ‘business.’

Kylie Jenner, 23, got fans talking this week when she unfollowed nearly all of her BFFs on Instagram. While it looked like there might be some drama, it turns out the makeup mogul had a pretty smart reason for the social media purge. “Kylie knew that whittling her list down would highlight the exact pages she wanted to showcase for her fans and hopefully get them to follow,” a source spilled to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.

Of the 28 she continued to follow, Stassie Karanikolaou appeared to be the only friend exempt from the purge along with her family members, popular fan pages and of course her own brands Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin. “Pages like Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin to promote her own brands, and she made sure to include a few of her fan pages to show them the same love they’ve shown her all these years,” they added, noting it was a “short-term” marketing school.

As of Jan. 8, the Kylie Skin founder has begun re-following some of the unfollowed friends, including Fai Khadra, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin. Ky has yet to add Sofia Richie, 22, back to the list but the model and Scott Disick‘s ex continues to follow her. “[The friends] knew about this all along and there’s nothing but love there. They all know the name of the game,” our insider added.

The timing was particularly curious as Kylie has been vacationing in Aspen, Colorado with her family, including mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall, as well as Fai, in a $450K a month mansion. Specifically, Fai was photographed on a shopping outing with Kendall just six days before Kylie’s unfollow spree. “Kylie has always been a savvy entrepreneur and there’s a reason she’s one of the richest women on the planet. She knows exactly what she’s doing especially when it comes to running her social media accounts,” our source reiterated.

And with the buzz and attention, it certainly seems like the move has worked. “Kylie is a master of social media and business…This was all a part of a bigger plan and it was all business. She will and have re-followed her friends,” a second insider added. “She just wanted to focus to be on her brand and brands she wants her followers to know about. People are talking and that is all she hoped for, free advertising all the way.”

Kylie regularly posts about her cosmetic and skincare lines on social media, even celebrating National Bubble Bath Day on Jan. 8 with a super sexy post! The mom of Stormi Webster, 2, appeared to pose nude in a tub as she poured in her own rose scented bubble bath. In recent weeks, she also promoted her epic Grinch-themed Kylie Cosmetics holiday collection with a number of themed photo shoots.

Zahara Jolie-Pitt celebrated her Sweet 16 on Jan. 8! To celebrate, we’re looking back at Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter through the years.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s children are growing up — their daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt is now 16 years old! The estranged spouses’ third oldest child celebrated her Sweet 16 on Jan. 8, reminding fans just how fast time has flown by. Over the years, fans have watched Zahara grow up to be a loving daughter and sister as she has accompanied her siblings and famous parents to multiple premieres, events and outings.

Zahara was born in Ethiopia in Jan. 2005, where Angelina traveled to in July of that year to adopt a then six-month-old Zahara. She was originally named Zahara Marley Jolie, and renamed to Zahara Jolie-Pitt after Brad adopted both her and brother Maddox (now 19) in 2006. Zahara’s family continued to grow: her parents adopted her older brother Pax, 17, in Vietnam in 2003. They went on to welcome Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12, making them a family of eight.

Zahara is very close with her parents and siblings, as evidenced by all the photos of their family outings over the years. As a child, Zahara was often pictured with her parents doing fun activities, whether that was a day at Central Park or a visit to the art shop in New York City. She was traveling the world, too: Zahara was only an infant when she accompanied her parents to Tokyo in 2005, where they attended a screening of Mr. & Mrs Smith, and just a toddler when she stayed in Prague as Angelina filmed Wanted.

As Zahara grew older, she started tagging along to many red carpet events! In her early teen years, she got to dress up for the National Board of Review Awards Gala in Jan. 2018, and then multiple screenings for her mom’s Disney film, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, throughout 2019. You can see all these photos and more in HollywoodLife‘s gallery above.

When Zahara’s not globe-trotting with her family or hitting the red carpet, she’s spending quality time with her parents and siblings and is often pictured on family shopping trips in Los Angeles. In June of 2020, Angelina marveled at the young woman she had raised. “My daughter is from Ethiopia, one of my children. And I have learned so much from her. She is my family, but she is an extraordinary African woman,” Angelina said in an interview with Ugandan climate activist Vanessa Nakate for TIME 100 Talk. Happy birthday again, Zahara!

Now that it’s 2021, here is Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s ‘plan’ when it comes to children after they both voiced their desires to start a family in recent interviews.

Justin Bieber, 26, and Hailey Baldwin, 23, have both confirmed they want children, but they’re not kick-starting these plans anytime soon. “Justin and Hailey‘s plan is to continue waiting on having a baby and starting a family,” a friend of the family’s EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. “They both want kids, but they have told friends they want to enjoy being married for at least a couple of years before starting a family.”

Justin and Hailey will celebrate their three-year wedding anniversary later this year in Sept. 2021, but “are in zero rush still,” our insider continues. “They know they’re both young and are still very much in the honeymoon stage, where they’re obsessed and deeply in love with one another and want to ride that out as long as possible. They know they have plenty of time on their side and don’t see a rush to do this in 2021.”
So, what is in store for Justin and Hailey’s 2021? “This year, they’ll probably do a lot of road trips together and spending time in Canada and LA,” our source reveals. “They’ve liked bouncing around and have really cherished this slowed down life together. Justin also wants to tour and perform again once it’s safe and Hailey‘s plan was to join as much as possible.” HollywoodLife learned that Justin was working on an “entire new project” with “all new collaborators,” according to a friend close to the pop star, in Aug. 2020.
Right before the new year came, Justin sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and gave an update on his and Hailey’s family plans. “I’m going to have as many [kids] as Hailey is wishing to push out,” the Canadian crooner said on the Dec. 1 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Being the respectable husband he is, the the “Changes” singer added, “I’d love to have myself a little tribe, but it’s her body, so whatever she wants to do,” and, “I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman.”

Justin truly is respecting Hailey’s wishes, which she made known in a joint interview with her husband for Vogue Italia‘s October issue. “The strange thing is, I’ve always wanted to have children early,” the model told the magazine. “But now that I’m married, I feel less of an urge. I am an ambitious girl with many projects. It will happen, but not now.”
