Kedmi, on the air of the Full Contact program on the “Looking” platform, said that after they were taken under control of all the territories of the DPR LPR, Russian troops should first take control of Ochakov, where the construction of the US base was underway, which has already been destroyed by now.

“After that, you need to take not Kharkov, which is actually not has no military significance, but the Volyn and Zhytomyr regions,” the political scientist expressed his opinion.

He noted that if the special operation develops in such a way that Kharkov, Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk will be cut off from supplies.

“Home is safer”: Putin called on SPIEF-2022 to abandon business inspections forever

The President of Russia assessed the current situation in world politics and the economy, saying that the United States declared itself to be God's messengers on Earth.

Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in SPIEF-2022.

During his speech, he, in particular, criticized the West and anti-Russian sanctions.

At the same time, he stated that the Russian Federation has nothing to do with the energy crisis in Europe.

In his opinion, Western politicians “did things themselves and are looking for the guilty”. As the reason for the difficult energy situation, Putin pointed to the failed policy in this direction.

The head of state also criticized the speed of the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions and their volume. In his opinion, these indicators are unprecedented for the world.

“The calculation [of the imposition of sanctions] was clear: impudently, with a swoop to crush the Russian economy”, – Putinn said, calling the restrictive measures against our country insane and thoughtless.

He also noted that the United States declared itself to be the messengers of the Lord on Earth, without obligations, but with interests.

< p>He noted that the elites in the West do not want to notice the changes and live in an illusion, while the countries of the “gold billion” continue to consider other states as their colonies and second class.

Speaking at the SPIEF, Putin also gave recommendations to Russian business. He called on entrepreneurs, in particular, to work at home.

“At home – more reliable”, – he said, noting that those who thought otherwise lost a lot of money.

Vladimir Putin also suggested that many inspections of Russian business be permanently abandoned.

“There is every reason to take another cardinal step forward – permanently refuse to conduct inspections of all Russian businesses whose activities are not associated with high risks of harm”, – said the head of state.

At the same time, he called for a careful approach to the decriminalization of economic crimes.

In addition, the president said that he considers it possible to reduce mortgage rates to 7 %. He noted that the program will remain valid until the end of this year.

Recall that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation lowered the rate on preferential mortgages to 9%.

Gref told when the Russian economy can return to the level of 2021

The head of Sberbank described the situation as paradoxical, but not dramatic.

The head of Sberbank German Gref said that the Russian economy will be able to return to last year's figures only within 10 years if no action is taken.

Speaking at a business breakfast of Sberbank, which discussed the construction of the economy countries in the future, he said that anti-Russian sanctions affected many sectors of the economy, including finance and industry, fuel and technology sectors.

As RBC writes with reference to his words, the countries that have imposed sanctions receive 56% of exports and 51% of imports of the Russian Federation, which constitutes a threat to 15% of Russian GDP, but, nevertheless, the restrictive measures of the West turned out to be milder than world experts believe.< /p>

Even now, Gref notes, we can talk about the strengthening of the national currency, the impact of this on inflation.

“Reducing rates and resuming lending to the economy is the most important factor her stability”, – the expert explained.

We can even talk about the re-strengthening of the ruble, which manifested itself as a result of many factors in recent months. Among them are a trade surplus, a decline in demand for foreign currency and a drop in the flow of imports to Russia. It turns out, the analyst notes, that “currency… no one needs” in Russia”.

Thus, Gref describes the situation in the Russian economy as “paradoxical”, but in general, but not “dramatic”.

According to RIA & #8220;News”, within the framework of the SPIEF, the decline in the country's GDP amid sanctions was discussed. Against this background, the forecast of the Central Bank looks the most stringent, forecasting an 8-10% decline in growth back in April.

Now the adjustment looks more optimistic, and in July, the Bank of Russia is likely to present other indicators.

The relevant department, the Ministry of Economic Development, believes that the gross product will decrease by 7.8% by the end of 2021.

Earlier, Topnews wrote that German Gref himself was blacklisted as part of the next package of EU sanctions .

Which new version of the MiG-31 was highly appreciated by foreign experts?

Foreign journalists note that Russian aircraft manufacturers have recently been qualitatively modernizing successful Soviet aircraft, constantly improving their performance. In particular, we are talking about the modern version of the MiG-31BM, deep modernization has actually made it possible to create a modern aircraft with outstanding performance. At the same time, missile weapons were improved for this fighter, including long-range R-37 missiles, and the aircraft also got the opportunity to use Kinzhal hypersonic missiles for strikes on the ground, which have sniper accuracy at distances up to 2000 kilometers.

The Soviet MiG-31 high-altitude interceptor took to the air in 1975 and became one of the world's first fourth-generation combat aircraft with an extremely high speed of Mach 3. The MiG-31 is one of the military developments that have never been delivered abroad, which also speaks of its special status. At present, the Russian Aerospace Forces have 370 fighters of this type at their disposal and are not going to abandon them in the foreseeable future. Its modern version of the MiG-31BM received network-centric control, a phased array radar, equipment for real-time data exchange with the AWACS aircraft, the ability to work at any time of the day and fly in the stratosphere.

Basic Version

Even in its original version, the MiG-31 has decent performance. First of all, its carrying capacity deserves attention. Due to the fact that the takeoff weight of the interceptor exceeds 30 tons, the troops call it a “combat airship”. It is a two-seat, supersonic, high-altitude, long-range, all-weather fighter-interceptor. The MiG-31 is designed to intercept and destroy air targets at extremely low, medium and high altitudes, day and night, in simple and difficult weather conditions, when the enemy uses active and passive radar interference, as well as false thermal targets. A group of four MiG-31 aircraft is capable of controlling airspace with a frontal length of up to 1,100 km.

Modernization

According to official statements, almost all aircraft available to the troops have been upgraded to the level of the MiG-31BM. Due to the improvement of on-board radio-electronic equipment and weapons, the efficiency of the MiG-31BM has increased by 2.6 times. Modernization improves the combat power of fighters several times, which increases the ability to perform assigned tasks. Thanks to unique radars, the aircraft sees both high-altitude targets flying at hypersonic speeds and cruise missiles hiding at ultra-low altitudes. The aircraft is capable of detecting targets at a distance of up to 320 kilometers and simultaneously hitting 6 and tracking up to 10. Now the fighter, using air-to-air missiles, is guaranteed to destroy targets at a distance of up to 280 km. Ammunition with even greater reach is being developed.

New features

The new equipment expands the capabilities of the MiG-31BM, turning it from a highly specialized interceptor into a multifunctional combat unit that effectively interacts with air defense anti-aircraft missile systems. In particular, a powerful radar can be used to target air targets with guided missiles launched from other fighters approaching the enemy at the distance of a missile salvo in radar silence mode. The aircraft can also be used as a kind of air command post, coordinating the actions of other types of fighters equipped with less powerful radars.

Currently, MiG-31BMs are used to carry out combat duty for air defense both in Kamchatka and in the regions of the Far North. This aircraft is well suited for flights in the Arctic, it confidently copes with work in the temperature range from −50 to +50.

Terrible MiG-41

Meanwhile, the designers are already working on a new high-altitude interceptor, MiG-41. It will have outstanding performance in all respects — fly at speeds greater than Mach 5, approach the edge of space, have artificial intelligence and be able to use anti-satellite weapons.

Sergey Brilev appeared at SPIEF and denied rumors about emigration

The host of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, who was suspected of emigrating from Russia after the start of a special military operation, became the host of one of the key sessions of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. The journalist became the moderator of the discussion on the topic of the global energy balance, which was attended by such functionaries as Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and the head of Gazpromneft & nbsp; Alexander Dyukov.

After the session ended, Brilev explained why he had not been on the air for a long time.

“All these are rumors. I don't really want to discuss them. Was busy filming a movie. I am now being shown on TV even more than before,” the journalist said.

Sergey Brilev refused to develop this topic and asked the journalist who was trying to film the answer to his mobile to remove the camera.

Recall that the journalist stopped broadcasting the news shortly after the start of the special operation in Ukraine and left Russia. The media associated this fact with Sergey Brilev's British citizenship.

At the end of March, it became known that Brilev was included in the British sanctions list.

How did Russian tanks learn to defend themselves against American Javelins?

Plot Russian special operation in Donbass and Ukraine

Russian tanks deployed in Ukraine received an ERA system to counter the US-made FGM-148 Javelin systems. New means of defense are capable of detecting and destroying missiles moving at a speed of 360 km/h on approach. These systems led to a serious overrun of anti-tank missiles supplied to Ukraine from the United States and other NATO countries.

The use of the system in combat conditions can be seen on footage from Mariupol, where an anti-tank missile fired at close range was destroyed by the system, while the tank retained its full combat capability, having received minor damage. The operation of the tank protection system is also described, it detects an anti-tank missile moving at a speed of 100 m/s and destroys it at a safe distance for an armored combat vehicle.

For the first time “Arena”

Last year, it was reported that the Russian T-72B3 and T-90M tanks will receive a new active protection against Javelin and Spike anti-tank missile systems called Arena-M, which is capable of repelling an attack from any direction. This Russian active defense system can destroy almost all homing missiles, including the most advanced anti-tank systems that attack the weakly protected top of the tank. To combat them, the system received a modern radar and maneuverable ammunition to destroy the attacking projectile.

How it works

“Arena-M” works in automatic mode. At the first stage, the radar of the active protection complex detects missile launches towards the combat vehicle and accompanies the target. Having detected a danger, the system fires a protective projectile at a distance of 20 to 50 m, it turns towards it. Ammunition “Arena” are equipped with special impulse correction engines, which allow, if necessary, to change the trajectory in a minimum time. When approaching an attacking ammunition with a combat vehicle, an explosion occurs, and a directed stream of fragments destroys an enemy missile.

Other systems

It was also reported that other systems of dynamic tank protection under the name “Relikt” are being developed in Russia. and “Malachite”. The latter is used on the most modern Russian tank T-14 “Armata”. It is stated that “Malachite” able to protect armored vehicles from an anti-tank missile attack at an approach angle of up to 60 degrees. This makes it possible to repel a missile attacking from above into the most unprotected part of the tank.

In addition, the Afghanit active protection complex is being developed, which can destroy incoming projectiles with protective ammunition and release smoke-metal aerosols that mask the tank from guidance channels ATGM.

How do Russian electronic warfare systems reduce the effectiveness of Switchblade drones by 80%?

Russian electronic warfare systems have made American kamikaze drones completely ineffective. Thanks to their work, the efficiency of using American kamikaze drones Switchblade has dropped below 20%.

History

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian army received 100 kamikaze drones. We are talking about Switchblade drones in two main variants — Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600, previously announced in USA.

Switchblade 300 are designed to destroy manpower and non-armored vehicles. The Sitchblade 600 is more powerful, designed to destroy even heavy armored vehicles. However, even then there were suspicions that drones might not be too effective in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The  Ukrainian army simply has no experience with Switchblade kamikaze drones. By the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine prefer to use commercial drones equipped with explosives, which are more convenient to use.

Further, it turned out that the Ukrainian military has a serious overrun of American kamikaze drones. The latter are actively launched, but and did not hit their targets. This is due to the use of powerful electronic jamming systems, information about the active use of which was confirmed by Rostec.

How do they work?

Most often, drones deviate from their targets due to disrupted operation of the satellite navigation system and therefore simply cannot hit the selected targets.

< p>Today, Russia is the only country in the world that has long-range electronic warfare systems capable of carrying out electronic suppression of enemy systems in a wide range.

In cases with small drones that can be controlled by terrorists, the main the method of struggle is the creation of “electromagnetic interference that can disrupt the operation of the drone itself or block its communication channel with the” operator or coordination center “. A more complex type of countermeasure is an attempt to spoil the electronic “brains” drone.

What complexes are used?

Perhaps the most powerful among all electronic warfare — “Kurasukha-4”. Earlier there were reports that this complex destroyed 9 Turkish drones in two days in Armenia. The full characteristics of the electronic warfare station are classified, but it is known that its radius of action is 400 kilometers. In addition, the electronic warfare systems of the “Krasukha” family were actively used in Syria.

With & nbsp; the suppression of control channels for drones, the EW system “Silok-01”, the automatic jamming station R-934BMV and the advanced radio jamming station “Pole-21” do an excellent job. The latter device is capable of creating a dome that is impenetrable to enemy electronic equipment. Also “Field” effectively crushes subscriber satellite navigation equipment.

“Silock” allows you to automatically detect airborne objects, determine their coordinates and suppress on different operating frequency ranges. Control channels and communications of drones are suppressed at a distance of up to 4 km from their home base. The performance characteristics of this unit have not been published in the public domain.

At the exercises held a year ago, the electronic warfare complexes “Borisoglebsk” and "Resident" in the exercises proved their effectiveness against attacks by attack drones. They completely disabled combat drones, and also suppressed the command posts of a mock enemy.

In Concern "Constellation" created an automatic complex of electronic warfare against unmanned aerial vehicles “Solaris-N”. This system “provides protection against drones on area up to 80 sq. km. “Intellectual” Solaris-N system protects the territory from the penetration of drones in automatic mode. The reconnaissance equipment detects a flying object, analyzes the trajectory of movement and the structure of the signal, after which it independently determines whether it is a drone, and makes a decision on further actions.

There is also a "gun" against UAVs. This device is a portable electronic warfare system, which in its shape resembles small arms: it has a “muzzle”, “butt” and “trigger”, although in this case they perform completely different functions than in firearm systems. REX-1's strengths include minimal set-up time, ease of use,  2 kilometer range (the highest in its class), and 3 hours of continuous operation.

Poland called the goal of supporting Ukraine to prevent Russia from returning the empire

Poland's goal is to continue bordering Ukraine, not Russia, which wants to “rebuild an empire,” Blaszczak said. Putin rejected plans to restore the borders of the empire, calling such statements speculation alt=”Poland called the goal of supporting Ukraine to prevent Russia from returning the empire” />

Mariusz Blaszczak

Warsaw supports Kyiv, because it sees that the goal of the Kremlin— “rebuild the empire” and on the “conquest” He will not stop Ukraine, said the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Mariusz Blaszczak, writes Interia.

“Our goal is for our southeastern border to be with Ukraine, and not with Russia. We all understand that if Russia conquers Ukraine, then it will not stop, but will move on, because the goal of the Kremlin— restore the empire»,— said the minister.

According to Blaschak, a possible re-establishment of the Russian Empire in Europe would be very dangerous. “The Russian Empire threatened and threatens the freedom of European states, therefore it is necessary to resolutely resist this aggression; hence the decisive support, concrete, real support that we provide to Ukraine,— he said.

In addition to Poland, the United States was also accused of wanting to recreate the empire. “Basically, [President Vladimir] Putin wants the world to go back in time to a time when there were no united nations, to a time when empires ruled the world. However, the rest of the world has gone ahead, — said UN Permanent Representative Linda Thomas-Greenfield at the end of February, when Russia recognized the DPR and LPR, but had not yet begun a special operation in Ukraine.

However, Putin stressed that he did not intend to restore the country within the borders of the Russian Empire, but that was all statements on this topic are nothing more than speculation and do not correspond to reality. According to the president, after the collapse of the USSR, Russia “recognized all the new geopolitical realities and is actively working to strengthen interaction with all independent countries that have emerged in the post-Soviet space.”

Meanwhile, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, presenting in early June a series of his books dedicated to the rulers under whom the Russian land “did not crumble, but increased”, noted that the territory of modern Russia “is not forever” decreased compared to the size of the Russian Empire.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, foreign aircraft can be dismantled as the fleet degrades. Earlier, he said that it would take 3-5 years to organize mass production of Russian aircraft of various classes

Part of the foreign aviation fleet in Russia can be dismantled for spare parts as the fleet degrades. This was announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov (who oversees industry in the government). spare parts, and this must be provided for, but the calculations of the Ministry of Transport show that we will live for quite five years on the operation of this fleet, — he said.

He also did not rule out that the regime of Western sanctions against Russia could last more than a decade. “I have no illusions that after the end of hostilities, all sanctions will be lifted immediately. It is nonsense. This is not for a year, not for two, but maybe for ten or more years, — said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Since the end of February, the United Kingdom, the United States, the European Union and other countries have imposed restrictions on the flights of Russian airlines. The European Union also imposed a ban on the export to Russia of goods and technologies used in the aviation and space sectors, as well as a ban on insurance and maintenance of goods related to these industries.

American manufacturer Boeing has temporarily stopped maintenance and support of Russian airlines and the supply of spare parts to them. Following him, similar measures were taken by the European manufacturer Airbus.

According to the Ministry of Transport, as of mid-March, out of 1,367 aircraft of Russian airlines, 739 were registered in foreign registries. The head of the ministry, Vitaly Savelyev, said earlier that 78, or about 10% of all foreign aircraft in the country, were arrested abroad.

In mid-March, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the possibility of registering rights to foreign aircraft located in leasing from Russian companies,— this will allow airlines to keep the fleet of foreign aircraft and use them on domestic routes.

At the end of April, Kommersant citing sources in the Ministry of Transport, AEVT and two airlines, he wrote that, according to the negative scenario of the program for the development of the Russian air transport industry until 2030, from the second half of 2022, the fleet of foreign aircraft in the country will begin to decrease intensively and the dismantling of aircraft for spare parts will ensure the airworthiness of the remaining in the operation of the fleet. According to the newspaper's source in the Ministry of Transport, from half to two thirds of foreign aircraft are under the threat of dismantling.

Russia currently does not produce 100% localized aircraft. Regional Superjet 100s fly on Russian-French engines, and new mainline MS-21s with PD-14 engines are still undergoing certification. Borisov previously said that the organization of serial production of Russian aircraft of various classes “in the right quantity” it will take 3 & ndash; 5 years.

«During this time, we must use our chance to massively increase the production of the MS-21, Superjet New and Tu-214 models in order to saturate the market with various types of short-haul and long-haul aircraft,&mdash ; he said.— To this we must add the IL-96. So that all transportation is carried out on our domestic aircraft.

Lukashenka explained the sending of troops to the border with Ukraine by the threat from Poland

According to Lukashenka, Minsk cannot allow the “Poles to encircle”. Because of this, ten armed units were deployed along the western and southern borders of Belarus

Belarusian armed forces were deployed near the western and southern borders of the country due to fears of actions from Poland. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, whose words are quoted by the state agency “BelTA”.

“We see it. Therefore, I have to keep the armed forces on the alert in the West, and in the south. I lined up ten divisions along the border behind the back of the border guards, so as not to get into Belarus. And there were such thoughts, — said the Belarusian president at a meeting with employees of JSC “Belshina” in Bobruisk.

He noted that Minsk would respond to “Poland's desire to get Western Ukraine.” “Here we have to react. Because we cannot allow the Poles to surround us in general. This is a dangerous option. And I once said: the Ukrainians will also ask us with the Russians so that we can help them maintain integrity. So that they don’t chop off, & mdash; Lukashenka added.

In May, the Belarusian armed forces underwent a test of the reaction forces: the military checked samples of weapons, military and special equipment for the implementation of a “control run during marches of various lengths.” Military units and subunits practiced putting on alert, marching to designated areas and performing combat training tasks.

The Belarusian Ministry of Defense assured that such a check “does not pose a threat either to the European community or to neighboring countries,” but it is necessary to assess the readiness of personnel to quickly respond to a possible crisis situation, including in unfamiliar terrain and in rapidly changing conditions. The first stage of the verification started on May 4, the second— May 23.

On May 26, Lukashenka announced the creation of a new operational command in the armed forces— in the southern, Ukrainian direction. Then the Belarusian leader said that Minsk expects pressure from Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, in particular with the help of NATO troops stationed there, as well as by maintaining the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine. According to Lukashenko, “battalions of tactical groups and other units” were sent to the south of Belarus as part of the rotation of the armed forces.

The next day, May 27, the head of the country's Ministry of Defense, Viktor Khrenin, announced his intention to form a people's militia to “increase by several times” the number of “defenders of the motherland”.

The threat from Poland to western Ukraine was also discussed in Russia. Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled the country in 2014, made a statement on May 27 about the danger of the complete destruction of Ukraine's statehood due to “a situational rapprochement between [Kyiv] and Poland,” which “threatens a situation where Ukraine will be forced to actually merge with her. The reason for such a merger, Yanukovych believes, could be “the threat of [Ukraine's] economic failure to defend sovereignty.”

After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the fall of 1918, the conflict between Poles and Ukrainians escalated in the territory of Galicia (corresponding to the territories of modern Ivano-Frankivsk, Lvov, Ternopil regions of Ukraine, as well as the south of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship of Poland). The fighting went between the forces of the Polish Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, including for Lviv. At the beginning of 1919, an Entente peacekeeping mission was sent to the city in order to establish a line of demarcation between the warring parties and end the conflict. She was able to achieve a temporary truce, but later hostilities resumed. Active clashes began in November 1918 and ended in the summer of 1919 after the intervention of Romania.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev suggested on May 31 that Poland was already beginning to “take over” western territories of Ukraine. “Apparently, Poland is already moving to actions to seize the western Ukrainian territories,” — Patrushev said, noting that the West has “special plans”; into Ukrainian territories.

In late April, the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergei Naryshkin, announced the development in Washington and Warsaw of a plan to establish Poland's control over its “historical possessions”; in Ukraine. Referring to “information received by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service”, Naryshkin said that the United States and Poland intend to establish “tight military-political control” over certain territories of Ukraine. The first stage in the implementation of this plan, according to the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, will be the entry of Polish and other foreign troops into the western part of Ukraine.

The Minister announced a three-fold increase in the price of the first stage of the Sputnik construction

The first stage of the construction of the city of Sputnik, which, together with Artem, should turn Vladivostok into the first million-plus city in Primorye, will cost 300 billion rubles. According to him, nine-tenths of this amount will be financed by business

Alexey Chekunkov

The role of the Sputnik city being designed near Vladivostok in the context of geopolitical events and “Russia's turn to the East” will increase, believes Alexei Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. In a conversation with an RBC correspondent, he said that the cost of the first stage of construction will be 300 billion rubles.

The city plans to build 8 million square meters. m of real estate, it will be built in stages. “The first stage, already approved by government decree, — investments in the creation of supporting infrastructure of about 30 billion rubles. This is what the state will invest. Private investors will invest at least one in ten in the creation of objects that are of interest to them. The first stage, respectively, will cost about 300 billion rubles.»,— the minister clarified.

A detailed concept of the city of Sputnik near Vladivostok will be developed by a research institute from St. Petersburg— LLC “Scientific Research Institute of Perspective Urban Planning”, previously reported “KP & mdash; Vladivostok ". The design institute promised to do this by April 2023 for 370 million rubles. The publication also noted that the cost of the first stage of the project— housing construction for 50 thousand people— was estimated at 100 billion rubles.

During the first stage, Sputnik plans to build an embankment, shopping and entertainment complexes, as well as part of residential development, but the embankment & mdash; key point, Chekunkov noted. “It will be like a magnet for people to come and spend time there. People will first come there to rest, and then they will begin to settle there to live, — minister counts. Walk along this embankment, sit in a restaurant, go to the cinema in Sputnik— “hope it happens,” — it will be possible “sometime in 2025”.

“We will use the mechanism of the Far Eastern concession in order to mobilize capital now, create infrastructure facilities today, and pay for them for a long time,” — said the minister, speaking about the financing of the project.

According to Chekunkov, it would be right to combine in this project both large Russian companies and leading Asian companies, which, according to him, have already shown interest in the project. “But we deliberately want to first still approve its [the city’s] ideology, the concept at the state level, present it to the president and get his conceptual approval, and after that we offer specific investors to participate in this large-scale project,” — he notes.

Alexey Chekunkov first told RBC about the construction of a new city in Primorye in August 2021. Then he said that the authorities were considering a business model for creating the first million-plus city in the region: if you combine Vladivostok, which de jure has 600 thousand inhabitants, with Artem (located 38 km from Vladivostok; about 100 thousand inhabitants), then the construction the new city will attract about 300 thousand more people to this agglomeration.

It is assumed that the project will be implemented with the support of VEB.RF, its subsidiary ProGorod, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the government of Primorsky Krai.

Petersburg “Research Institute of Perspective Urban Planning” participated in the development of the project of the territory of federal significance “Sirius”, created master plans for the renewal of resort towns— Gelendzhik, Sochi, Anapa, etc., and also engaged in architectural developments in the Arkhangelsk region, Krasnodar Territory and other regions.

In a conversation with an RBC correspondent, Chekunkov also said that the project for the future city was inspired by St. Petersburg. “Of course, geographically Vladivostok and Sputnik— this is deep Asia, like three-quarters of the territory of our country. But from the point of view of culture, civilization— this is Europe. Since Vladivostok is the most European city in Asia, this is what attracts Asians, we want Sputnik to be the quintessence of these features, — Chekunkov expressed hope.

The architectural project of the new city will be presented at the Eastern Economic Forum, which usually takes place in September. “But I can share” inspiration is mostly taken from St. Petersburg. And the maritime character of the city, the lighthouse city, will be reflected in the Sputnik. Among other things, the first stage in the implementation of this project will be the creation of a worthy sea embankment, which for both the residents of Vladivostok and the guests of Primorye, including foreign ones, will probably be a kind of symbol of Russia's new turn to the east,— Chekunkov said.

The European Union is preparing the citizens of Ukraine to be ready to die for the “European perspective”, wrote Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on his page in “VKontakte”.

“Ukrainians are ready to die for the European perspective,” said the head of the European Commission and part-time specialist in childbearing. It seems that good guys and aunts from the EU are preparing them for this, — he warned.

Earlier, a message appeared on the official Twitter channel of the European Commission that Ukrainians are “ready to die for the European perspective.” And the EC President assured that Europe wants Ukraine to live the European dream together with it.

On June 17, the European Commission recommended granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership, as Kyiv “has demonstrated commitment to European values.” However, European officials noted that the country's authorities should carry out a number of important reforms.

The EC made a similar decision in relation to Moldova. Georgia was turned down by members of the commission because of the need for it to “unite politically and pave a clear path towards structural reforms.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the European Commission and von der Leyen “for the historic decision” grant the country candidate status. He also expressed confidence that the European Commission will make a final positive decision next week.

Putin said that “as before” will not be

According to the head of state, the authorities of the Western countries “cling to the shadows of the past” and believe that the dominance of the West is “a constant value.” “Nothing lasts forever,” said Putin

Video

The changes taking place in the world are of a fundamental nature, as before it will not be, said President Vladimir Putin in a speech at the plenary session of the SPIEF. RBC is broadcasting.

“It is a mistake to believe that the time of turbulent changes can, as they say, sit out, wait out, that supposedly everything will return to normal, everything will be as before. It won't, — Putin said.

According to him, the changes are fundamental, “turning and inexorable” character.

However, according to the head of state, the ruling elites of Western countries are in these illusions, do not want to notice obvious things and “cling to the shadows of the past.” “For example, it is believed that the dominance of the West in global politics and economics— the value is unchanging, eternal,»,— Putin noted, emphasizing that “nothing is eternal.” According to the president, Russia's partners deny reality and are trying to counteract the course of history.

The Russian authorities have said before that there will be no more. Secretary of the General Council of “United Russia” Andrei Turchak advised us to forget that “it is possible, as in a terrible childhood dream, to abruptly open your eyes and return to the state in which we were before. In his opinion, “total hybrid war” against Russia “will not end either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.”

Putin called sanctions against Russia insane and thoughtless

The calculation of Western countries that sanctions would ruin the Russian economy has not materialized, President Vladimir Putin said. According to him, we need to seize the moment and develop the country's economy further

Vladimir Putin

The sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia are thoughtless and crazy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his speech at SPIEF. The event is being broadcast on RBC.

Putin pointed out that the speed with which they were introduced and the number of restrictions that Russia faced are unprecedented.

Video

< p>“The calculation was clear” to crush the Russian economy with a swoop, with a swoop, by destroying business chains, forcibly withdrawing Western companies from the Russian market, freezing domestic assets, hitting industry and finance, and the standard of living of citizens. Did not work out. Obviously it didn't work out. Did not take place, — stressed the president.

According to him, this was facilitated by the coordinated actions of the government, business and citizens, who “showed unity and responsibility.”

“First we stabilized the financial sector, then we began to saturate the economy with liquidity and working capital” to maintain the sustainability of enterprises and companies, employment and jobs. Gloomy forecasts regarding the prospects for the Russian economy did not come true,— said Putin.

The President also noted that only the direct losses of the European Union “from the sanctions fever” for the coming year may exceed $400 billion. Putin said.

According to him, “the very construction of Western sanctions” was built on the false thesis that Russia is not sovereign from the point of view of the economy and is critically vulnerable. “They were so carried away by the spread of the myth about the backwardness of Russia and the weakness of Russia’s position in the world economy and trade that they themselves believed it,” — says the president.

At the same time, according to him, the country had already changed radically by the time the massive sanctions were introduced— as a result of the planned work of the government “to create a sustainable macroeconomic structure”, ensuring food security, import substitution and the formation of its own payment system, the president believes.

Putin agrees that sanctions have created new challenges for businesses, but he says they “open up new opportunities” to develop the country's economy and create, among other things, technological sovereignty.

Western countries began to impose sanctions against Russia after the start of a military special operation in Ukraine, the goals of which Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass from « genocide by the Kyiv regime. In response, Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia, introduced martial law and mobilization.

Since the end of February, six packages of European sanctions have been put into effect against Moscow, including a partial embargo on Russian oil supplies, a freeze on the assets of the Central Bank, a ban on financial transactions, sectoral restrictions and sanctions against a number of individuals.

Putin predicted degradation and change of elites for the EU

Separation of European authorities from reality and public demands will lead to the growth of populism, radical movements and serious socio-economic changes, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes

The European Union has finally lost its political sovereignty, and the actions of European politicians will lead to degradation, serious socio-economic changes, and in the long run to a change of elites, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a speech during SPIEF-2022. The broadcast is conducted by RBC.

“The European Union has finally lost its political sovereignty, and its bureaucratic elites are dancing to someone else's tune, accepting everything they are told from above, causing harm to their own population and their own economy,”— said Putin.

He compared the elections taking place in Europe to a “screen”, as a result of which political forces similar to each other are replaced in power. The Russian president believes that the policy of the European authorities will lead to a split not only on the issue of welfare, but in value orientations.

“Such a separation from reality, from the demands of society will inevitably lead to a surge of populism and the growth of radical movements, to serious social and economic changes, to degradation, and in the near future, to a change of elites,” — Putin said.

Relations between Russia and the EU have deteriorated amid Moscow's special military operation in Ukraine. Brussels and countries— members of the union condemned Russia's actions and introduced several packages of sanctions against it.

Putin called US statements about “Putin’s inflation” stupidity

The West is using the Russian special operation as a “lifeline” that allows it to “blame its own miscalculations on others,” Putin said. According to him, the increase in imports from the US and the EU led to an increase in prices in the world. 756554722171579.jpg” alt=”Putin called the US statement about “Putin's inflation” stupid” />

Vladimir Putin

Today's rise in prices— this is the result of systemic mistakes by the United States and the European Union in economic policy, and Russia, with its special operation in the Donbass, has “absolutely nothing to do with it,” President Vladimir Putin said during a speech at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

“Recently, more and more often I hear <…> about the so-called “Putin's inflation” in the West. When I see this, I always think: who is this stupidity designed for? For those who can't read and write, that's all. People who can even read understand what's really going on, — he said.

Video

According to the president, Russia and its “actions to liberate Donbass have absolutely nothing to do with it.” «Today's rise in prices— this is the result of systematic mistakes in the economic policy of the current US administration and the European bureaucracy. Here are the reasons. And only in this»,— Putin noted.

Western countries are already using the beginning of the Russian special operation as a “lifeline” that allows them to “blame their own miscalculations on others, in this case Russia.” “They printed money in huge quantities” And then what, where did all these funds flow? Obviously, including the purchase of goods and services outside Western countries. They [the US and the EU] have literally started vacuuming, raking out the global markets. Of course, no one thought about the interests of other states, including the poorest ones, and did not want to think, — the president said. According to him, the poorest countries were left only “scraps”, and even then at “astronomical prices”.

In particular, if at the end of 2019 the volume of imports to the United States was about $250 billion per month, by now it has grown to $350 billion, Putin said. “Growth 40%” in proportion, this exactly corresponds to the unsecured pumping of the dollar mass of recent years, — he said.

Even higher rates of increasing imports of goods, according to him, are observed in the EU. “It is clear that such a sharp increase in demand, not backed by product supply, launched a wave of shortages and global inflation” that's where it comes from, this global inflation,»,— said the head of state.

And while these countries continue to import, the balance between exports and imports has already shifted to the other side, Putin added. However, the conclusion already suggests itself that “the economy of imaginary entities will inevitably be replaced by the economy of real values and assets,” he noted.

In this way, Putin reacted, among other things, to the statement of US President Joe Biden. Speaking at the Port of Los Angeles last week about inflation and his administration's price-cutting measures, he said the United States “has never seen anything like Putin's tax on food and gasoline.” “Today's inflation report confirms what America already knows: Putin's price hike is hitting America hard— gas station prices, energy and food prices account for half of the monthly price increase in May,— said the president, commenting on the report of the US Department of Labor. According to this report, consumer prices in the country rose by 8.6% in annual terms in May, and this is the largest increase since December 1981. “I'm doing everything in my power to blunt Putin's price hike and bring down the cost of gas and food,” Biden then concluded.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the statements of the US President, noted that food prices were rising throughout 2020 and 2021, even before the start of the operation in Ukraine. “If we listen to what the White House says, Biden, calling inside himself, American prices “Putin’s”, “Putin’s tax”, “Putin’s gasoline”, “Putin’s inflation”, & mdash; yes, they live in a fantasy world»,— said the representative of the department, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with the TV channel “360” on the margins of SPIEF.

Putin called the key to solving the tasks of a special operation in Ukraine

According to the President of Russia, the tasks of the special operation will be solved thanks to the qualities of the Russian military and the position of the citizens who supported the military operation in Ukraine

The key to accomplishing the tasks of the military special operation in Ukraine is the courage of the military, the consolidation of society and the strengthening of Russia's sovereignty. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the SPIEF-2022 economic forum in St. Petersburg.

The broadcast was conducted by RBC.

“All the tasks of the special military operation will be solved. And the guarantee of that— the courage and heroism of our soldiers, the consolidation of Russian society, whose support gives strength and confidence to the army and navy of Russia, a deep understanding of the rightness of our cause and the strengthening of a strong and sovereign power— Russia»,— said Putin.

According to him, Russia in Ukraine protects people and defends the right to independent development. “Today, our soldiers, officers and militias of Donbass are fighting to protect their people. They defend Russia's right to free and secure development as a large multinational country that makes its own decisions, determines its own future <…> and rejects attempts to impose pseudo-values, dehumanization and moral degradation from the outside,— added the head of state.

Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24. When announcing its beginning, Putin called the goals “denazification and demilitarization”; neighboring state, as well as protecting the population of Donbass from “genocide” from the Kyiv authorities. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense stated that it did not strike civilian targets.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the first stage of the special operation on March 25. Then the head of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy, said that the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was “significantly reduced”, which allows “to focus the main efforts on achieving the main goal” liberation of Donbass. According to Rudsky, the Ukrainian Navy “ceased to exist” and the air force and air defense system were “virtually completely destroyed.”

On June 2, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had told him about the new tasks of the special operation, “which imply the improvement of further tactics.” “The measures taken will make it possible to significantly increase the effectiveness of offensive maneuvers, which contributes to the conduct of a special operation at a faster pace,” said Kadyrov.

Moscow stated that the timing of the operation is not a priority in its implementation. According to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the duration of the special operation is explained by the order to Russian forces to categorically avoid strikes on civilian infrastructure. The minister said that the strikes were only carried out on military installations, accumulations of equipment and manpower.

Shoigu also stated that the offensive in Ukraine was deliberately slowing down. According to him, this is done due to the announcement of silence regimes and the opening of the gum corridors to enable civilians to evacuate.

Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev noted that Moscow, in carrying out the tasks of a military operation, “does not chase deadlines.” He expressed confidence that the tasks set by Putin would be fulfilled. “Nazism must either be 100% eradicated. Or he will raise his head in a few years, — concluded Patrushev.

In turn, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, said on June 16 that he hoped to complete the operation before the end of the year. State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov spoke about the same time frame earlier.

The Kremlin has repeatedly said that Russia intends to achieve the fulfillment of all the tasks of the special operation. Mariupol, the entire Kherson region, Berdyansk, Melitopol and a number of other settlements in the Zaporozhye region are now under the control of Russian forces.

In Ukraine, they called the Russian special operation an attack, introduced martial law and severed diplomatic relations with Moscow.

Kazakhstan will support the creation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, which could be based on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This was stated by Kazakh President Kassym-Zhormat Tokayev during the SPIEF. The broadcast was conducted by the RBC TV channel.

«On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Forum, as I know, the topic of forming the Greater Eurasian Partnership— this is an initiative of the Russian Federation <…> Kazakhstan maintains a positive attitude towards the process of creating the Greater Eurasian Partnership, — he said.

According to him, this concept will be focused, among other things, on the creation of a common space for equal cooperation of regional organizations.

He recalled that in 2022 Kazakhstan will chair the CIS whose successful experience of functioning in difficult geopolitical conditions proves the effectiveness of multilateral dialogue tools. “I believe that the CIS can become the most suitable base for the implementation of such a mega-project as the Great Eurasian Partnership,” — concluded Tokaev.
