Zakharova spoke about the supply of drugs by Ukrainian security forces to Russia

photo: Russian Foreign Ministry

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday that no one should have any doubts that who helps the Ukrainian security forces to supply drugs to the Russian Federation.

According to her, Ukrainian special services found potential drug dealers in Russia in Ukraine and supplied them with money and equipment.

The diplomat expressed the opinion that “the emphasis was placed on working with young people.”

For this reason, “instead of classic opiates, Ukrainians distributed synthetics that were fashionable among teenagers: salts and speeds.”

As the diplomat noted, “the income from illegal sales did not go to the unfortunate Ukrainian couriers,” who, according to Zakharova, were intimidated with reprisals over families, “and into the clutches of the SBU.”

She stressed that before being sent to Russia, the detained drug dealers had a conversation with a curator from the SBU.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry described all this in her telegram channel.

“Techniques are not new”, she noted. And she recalled how “in the 19th century, the West, in order to achieve quasi-colonial trade preferences,” began to sell Indian opium among the Chinese.

The Chinese authorities tried to limit the “drug cartels of Britain”, but London responded by saying that “with the support of Washington unleashed opium wars against the Chinese.”

In Ukraine, as noted by the diplomat, “the history of the drug expansion of the West to the East is hardly so well known.” Therefore, Zakharova believes, “no one should have any doubts about who is helping the Ukrainian security forces to supply drugs to Russia.”

She said that this is an undeclared war that the Ukrainian special services are waging against the Russian Federation since 2014. And she gave figures: in 2014, synthetic drugs accounted for only 5% of illegal drug trafficking, and last year – already 60%. At the same time, Ukrainians became their main suppliers.

Sechin announced the destruction of the foundations of law that developed after World War II

Sanctions destroy the right to protect property, conduct business and defend in court, the head of Rosneft believes. According to him, the restrictions threaten the financial and industrial sectors, and as a result, the global market 17/756555388609179.jpg” alt=”Sechin announced the destruction of the foundations of law established after World War II” />

Igor Sechin

Sanctions have destroyed the foundations of law that have developed in the world following the results of the Second World War, — to the protection of property, freedom of doing business, judicial protection, etc. This was stated by the head of Rosneft; Igor Sechin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

«Principle of the rule of law <…> is the foundation of any modern constitutional democracy. The destruction of this fundamental principle, the application of sanctions by a narrow group of countries, led to the destruction of the basic foundations of the legal system, — he said (quote from RIA Novosti).

Video

Sanctions threaten the institution of contractual obligations, destroy the judicial and legal system, the financial, transport and industrial sectors, and as a result— global market, says Sechin.

According to the head of Rosneft, the global economic crisis is not the result of sanctions, but is exacerbated by restrictive measures. “Back in 2018, we talked about the fact that the policy of sanctions and ultimatums in the hydrocarbon markets would lead to the appearance of a permanent “sanction premium” in the price of oil, and noted the risks of new price records, & mdash; he added.

The United States, according to Sechin, resorts to sanctions without reason and considers them “some kind of magic wand”; to achieve political and economic goals. He said that under pressure from the United States, Europe is refusing gas from Russia and is turning to other countries that cannot compete with it on price. According to the head of Rosneft, the European Union is committing “energy suicide”, which will have long-term consequences.

Western countries began to impose sanctions against Russia after President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation in Ukraine. Since the end of February, the European Union has adopted six packages of measures against Moscow. These are a partial embargo on the supply of Russian oil, a freezing of assets of the Central Bank, a ban on financial transactions, sectoral restrictions and sanctions against a number of individuals. The United States adopted several rounds of restrictions, within which it banned the import of oil and gas from Russia.

Sechin was included in the sanctions lists of the European Union and Great Britain. The United States imposed restrictions against the head of “Rosneft” in 2014.

Sechin warned about the consequences of Europe’s “energy suicide”

According to him, as a result of the “imposed” sanctions, Europe cannot compete with the United States not only in the political but also in the economic sphere. Sechin also stressed that the consequences will be long-term on the consequences of Europe's “energy suicide” />

Europe is committing “energy suicide” with sanctions against Russia, which will have long-term consequences, the head of Rosneft said at the SPIEF Igor Sechin

“We are already seeing a decline in its economic potential, loss of competitiveness and direct losses for investors,”— he said.

Video

According to Sechin, anti-Russian sanctions were imposed on Europe. As a result, it “finally lost its subjectivity and chances of becoming not only a political, but also a competitive economic pole, an alternative to the United States.” Europe's level of competitiveness has fallen after it became the region with the highest energy cost in the world, he explained.

The US banned imports of Russian oil and gas in March. President Joe Biden stressed that Washington does not expect such a decision from European countries, because they are more dependent on supplies from Russia.

In Brussels, after several weeks of discussions, in early June, an embargo was nevertheless imposed on the import of Russian oil and oil products by sea. The ban provides for transitional periods: until December 5, one-time transactions are allowed for the import or execution of oil purchase contracts concluded before June 4, for oil products the deadline— February 5, 2023. The embargo did not affect crude oil, which is supplied to Europe through the Druzhba pipeline. In its northern part, the fuel goes to Germany and Poland, in the southern & mdash; to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. These countries will be able to continue purchasing for an indefinite period.

In addition, after Moscow obliged “unfriendly countries” (the list includes the entire EU) to pay for gas in rubles, many of them have abandoned this scheme.

A barrel of Brent oil on June 17 cost $115. Gas in Europe on June 16 rose in price to $1.5 thousand for the first time since March.

Inflation in the eurozone in May reached a record 8.1%— mainly due to rising energy prices (they rose by 39.2% compared to 37.5% in April). Prices for food, alcohol and tobacco rose by 7.5%.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Europe's energy policy an “economic auto-da-fé” and noted that as a result of “chaotic actions” European countries, their economies are being damaged, and the revenue of the Russian oil and gas sector is growing.

The Kremlin said there were no plans to award Tokayev with the Order of Nevsky

The press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported that Tokayev refused awards before the end of his term, therefore he did not accept the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Peskov said there were no plans to award the President of Kazakhstan

Dmitry Peskov

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov did not confirm the information that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, refused to accept the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

“I don’t know where this information comes from, because no awards were planned. This was not in the plans,»,— he said to “Wake up.”

On the eve of the fact that Tokayev did not accept the order, Kazakh political scientist Yerbol Yedilov said. He explained this by the fact that the President of Kazakhstan decided not to accept any awards until the expiration of his term, & mdash; both domestic and foreign. The press service of the head of state confirmed this.

The Order of Alexander Nevsky can be awarded to foreign politicians for their merits in the development of multilateral cooperation with Russia and assistance in its socio-economic development.< /p>

In 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Tokayev's predecessor Nursultan Nazarbayev with the order “as a token of merit, for his initiative in matters of integration processes that have come to a logical conclusion.”

On June 17, Tokayev took part in the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and met with Putin. He, among other things, stated that Kazakhstan does not recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (unlike Russia, which did so on February 21), and considers them quasi-state territories. Explaining his point of view, Tokayev said that two principles of the UN Charter came into conflict— the right to self-determination and territorial integrity, and if the first is realized throughout the world, then more than 500 countries will appear. For this reason, Kazakhstan does not recognize Taiwan, Kosovo, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Ukraine allowed the resumption of negotiations with Russia in August

According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia, in August Kyiv may conduct “counter-offensive operations in some places”, which would strengthen its position in the negotiations. He excluded the resumption of the dialogue in the current situation

David Arakhamia

Ukraine's position at the negotiating table with Russia may change by the end of August, suggested in an interview with Voice of America (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of media-foreign agents) head of the Ukrainian delegation David Arakhamia. In his opinion, then Kyiv will be able to return to negotiations and speak from a position of strength.

Arakhamia added that a counterattack by the Ukrainian military is expected at this time: “We do not want to share our plans with Russia, because they can see it in open sources. But I think we will carry out counteroffensive operations in some places.

Another possible condition for the start of negotiations, the head of the delegation called the voluntary return of Russian troops to the positions they held before February 24. He ruled out the resumption of dialogue in the current conditions, emphasizing that Ukraine would not accept the loss of territories, “it is legally impossible.” “But we can consider a political agreement like the one we proposed for consideration in Istanbul. Thus, we would not raise the issue of Crimea for a certain number of years, for example»,— told Arakhamia.

In turn, the deputy from the Servant of the People party Yevgenia Kravchuk told the radio company that Kyiv is in contact with Moscow on humanitarian issues. “Another component of the negotiations— it's food security: as you know, our ports are blocked. We discussed the corridors that might be organized with the help of NATO ships that would guard 60 miles to neutral waters, this could be a solution, — she added.

After the start of the Russian military operation, the delegations of the two countries held several rounds of negotiations. The most productive was the meeting in Istanbul at the end of March, after which the parties exchanged written proposals for a settlement.

However, in May, both Moscow and Kyiv announced the suspension of the process. The head of the Russian delegation, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky specified that the dialogue was frozen at the initiative of Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin noted that the Ukrainian side changed its position in the negotiations and moved away from the Istanbul agreements.

Ukrainian authorities explained that the background of the negotiations was influenced by the events in Bucha: in early April, foreign media and Ukrainian politicians published photos of dead civilians in this city. The Ministry of Defense denied involvement in the killing of civilians.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on June 17 that Putin was open to negotiations and “it would be great if European leaders influenced the leadership of Ukraine in order to encourage them to take a sober look at the situation.

Arakhamia has already said before that in order to resume discussions, Ukraine's negotiating position needs to be strengthened, in particular, by arms supplies. The President of the country, Vladimir Zelensky, called the return of territories lost during the hostilities to Ukraine as a condition for negotiations. After that, the Russian Foreign Ministry questioned the sincerity of Kyiv's desire to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Johnson urged to continue supporting Kyiv amid “Ukraine fatigue”

It is important that the UK continues to support Ukraine, Johnson said following his second visit to Kyiv since the start of the Russian military operation. Zelensky also spoke about “fatigue” in the world due to events in the country

Boris Johnson

London must continue to support Kyiv, despite the danger of “Ukraine fatigue”; as the fighting escalates. This was announced to journalists by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson upon his return from the Ukrainian capital.

According to Johnson, in such conditions, it is necessary to demonstrate that Britain is giving Ukraine the help it needs. “The Russians are moving forward inch by inch and it's vital for us to show that Ukraine can and will win, it's true,” — he said (quoted by Reuters).

The British Prime Minister arrived in Kyiv on June 17. He met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and proposed starting a training program for the Ukrainian military outside the country. In accordance with it, it is planned to train up to 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers every 120 days in frontline combat skills, cybersecurity and anti-explosion tactics, as well as basic medical training.

This is the second Johnson's visit to the country after the start of the Russian military operation. Earlier, he met with Zelensky in Kyiv on April 9: then the provision of additional financial and military assistance to Ukraine was discussed. Johnson promised that the UK would supply Ukraine with 120 armored vehicles and anti-ship systems, as well as additional loan guarantees from the World Bank.

Zelensky also spoke about the growing fatigue in the world from what is happening in Ukraine. “Of course, everyone wants to push us to some result, which is definitely undesirable for us, because we are not asked. And desirable for those or other parties. They probably have their own interests, both financial and political. Fatigue is growing, people want some kind of result for themselves. And we need a result for us,»— he said on June 6 (quote from RBC Ukraine). This is how the president reacted to reports that the US, Britain and the EU are discussing ways to resolve the situation in Ukraine without the participation of representatives of Kyiv (CNN wrote about this, in particular).

Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that some Western politicians are suggesting that Kyiv give up part of the territories in order to stop the military operation that Russia launched on February 24. He stressed that Ukraine would not make such “compromises”. Offers to Kyiv to “simply stop resistance” some representatives of African, Asian and Arab countries also acted, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, calling such an initiative unthinkable.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on May 2 that Moscow is not demanding that Kyiv surrender, but wants Zelensky “to give the order to release all civilians and stop resistance.” According to the minister, Russia does not have a goal of regime change in Ukraine, it is rather an “American specialty”. President Vladimir Putin, speaking the day before at the SPIEF, said that all the tasks of the military operation would be solved. In February, the head of state justified its beginning with the desire to carry out “demilitarization and denazification”; neighboring country, as well as to protect the inhabitants of Donbass from the policy of “genocide”, which, according to Putin, was carried out by the Ukrainian authorities.

Medvedev doubted that in August there would be something and with whom to talk about Ukraine

This is how he commented on the words of the head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia, who suggested earlier that after the upcoming counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in August, Kyiv's position in the negotiations will be strengthened

Dmitry Medvedev

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev expressed doubts about the prospects for negotiations with Ukraine “by the end of August”, which the head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia, spoke about.

“Maybe so. The question is whether there will be something to talk about and with whom,— wrote Medvedev in the Telegram channel.

Arakhamia in an interview with Voice of America (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of media-foreign agents) admitted that Kyiv would return to negotiations with Moscow by the end of August. According to him, “counter-offensive operations” are expected at this time. The Armed Forces of Ukraine “in some places”, and in this case, the Ukrainian side in the negotiations will be able to speak from a position of strength. Arakhamia also proposed an alternative condition for resuming the dialogue— voluntary return of Russian troops to the positions they occupied before the start of the special operation.

The head of the delegation ruled out the loss of territories by Ukraine, but said that Kyiv would be able to consider a political agreement, in which, for example, “it would not raise the issue of Crimea for a certain number of years.”

The negotiations were suspended in May at the initiative of Ukraine. Since then, Moscow has declared its readiness for dialogue and says that “the ball is on the side of Kyiv.” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called on European leaders to influence the Ukrainian authorities “in order to encourage them to take a sober look at the situation.”

Medvedev has previously argued that the Ukrainian leadership was ready to “negotiate on key points” but changed course under the influence of Western countries. According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, it is the West that does not allow Kyiv to negotiate. At the same time, representatives of the authorities of Western countries (French President Emmanuel Macron, British Foreign Minister Liz Truss) declare the need to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that peace in Ukraine is possible, but “the question is, what will be its price”? and “how much territory, how much independence, how much freedom, how much democracy” Kyiv is ready to pay for it. He stressed that the conflict should end through diplomacy.

In the Kremlin, DDoS attacks at SPIEF were compared with the actions of the Nazis in Stalingrad

According to Presidential Adviser Anton Kobyakov, SPIEF was “bombed” with DDoS attacks from IP addresses, including those from the United States. Due to massive DDoS attacks, President Vladimir Putin postponed his speech by an hour the day before

Video

SPIEF systems “bombed” DDoS attacks, “like Stalingrad” fascists,” said presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov. According to him, attacks were carried out with a capacity of 140 Gigabits per second from addresses in the USA, Colombia, Ukraine, Thailand, Bangladesh.

«15 million packets per second— serious attacks. But we are not born with a bastard, & mdash; quoted by the organizing committee. “We got through it. And then we'll manage, & mdash; Kobyakov is sure.— Moreover, we now know how they work and what technologies they use.

The purpose of DDoS attacks is to disrupt the infrastructure of the attacked company. To conduct them, hackers use botnet networks or other methods to create an avalanche-like increase in requests to an online resource, increase the load on it to the maximum, and thereby disable it. Botnet networks can consist, for example, of infected computers that hackers use remotely without the knowledge of the user, or of other devices, such as “smart” speakers, etc. Botnet networks can reach hundreds of thousands of devices.

On June 18, President Vladimir Putin rescheduled his speech at SPIEF to 15:00 Moscow time instead of the planned 14:00. “Since yesterday, massive DDoS attacks have begun on Internet resources and the SPIEF accreditation system. The database of forum participants and the access system were disabled,— his press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, explained the reason for the postponement.

According to him, as a result of DDoS attacks, “there was a hitch with obtaining badges.” “Specialists are working, the problem is fixable,” — added the press secretary.

In mid-March, the Ministry of Digital Development proposed sending the Central Bank a list of information systems that could potentially become targets of cyberattacks. “Ministry of Digital Organizes Work on Filtering Foreign Traffic Using Technical Threat Countermeasures,” — a representative of the department told RBC.

In early June, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that the United States had conducted a series of “offensive digital operations”; in support of Ukraine. Queen Elizabeth II skips Ascot for the first time in 70 years

For the first time in almost 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II missed the races at Ascot due to mobility problems. This is reported by The Telegraph newspaper.

Ascot Horse Racing— is a British social event held annually in Ascot, Berkshire. The races are held on 179 acres, which the organizers rent from the British royal estate. The first races took place in 1711 under the auspices of Queen Anne Stuart.

Elizabeth II recorded a video message to the guests of the event. The royal family was represented at the races by Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.

The Telegraph called the Queen's absence from the event “the end of an era”. Since the beginning of her reign in 1952, Queen Elizabeth II has never missed a race at Ascot. Horses from the royal stable take part in the races. Guests also bet on the color of the hat that Elizabeth II will wear to the event.

In early June, celebrations were held in the UK in honor of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Elizabeth II. However, the queen was not able to attend all the events. On the first day of the celebration, she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and watched the festive parade with her family members, but then the monarch's office announced that Elizabeth would miss the thanksgiving service due to the discomfort she experienced while participating in the celebrations. Then the queen took part in lighting the main jubilee fire, and on the last day of the holiday she again went out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace to greet the people gathered in front of him.

In February, Elizabeth II contracted the coronavirus and complained that it was difficult for her to move. From October last year until March this year, the queen did not attend outdoor events.

What is known about the migrant woman who was raising a child “found” on the street?

In Moscow, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained, who appropriated someone else's child. For four years, a 48-year-old woman has been raising a girl whom she allegedly found as a baby on the streets of the Russian capital.

How did the child get to a migrant woman?

The woman claims that in the spring of 2018 she saw a newborn baby on a bench without supervision. On the hand the girl had a tag from maternity hospital with the name "Amina". Zuhraconcluded that the child was abandoned because he looked very untidy. Deciding that this was a “sign from above”, the woman took the baby home. At the same time, she did not apply to the police or guardianship authorities, raising a girl without documents.

The situation was revealed after the woman came to the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan to draw up documents for Amina . Then the diplomats involved the police in the case. At the moment, the police are investigating all the circumstances of this story.

What is known about the woman?

According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the woman's name is Zukhra Murataliyeva. For many years, she suffered from infertility and dreamed of having a baby.

In Moscow, she lived legally, previously worked as a seamstress. In 2016, a woman was hit by a train and suffered several major surgeries, including craniotomy. Now she decided to move back to Kyrgyzstan and applied to the embassy of her country, as a result of which the revealed the story of a girl found on the street.

Recently, Zukhra has been working as a nurse for a pensioner. When she died, her son allowed the woman to live with her daughter in the same apartment.

What version of the incident are the police considering?

The police suggest that the migrant could get a girl ” ;in gift» from one of compatriots who didn need the child.

This is indicated by numerous contradictions in Zuhra's testimony. It is noted that she knows too much information about the child, which was hardly indicated on the tag from maternity hospital. A woman also cannot present this tag. In addition, she claims that she does not remember the names of her acquaintances or neighbors.

At the moment, the child is in the hospital, and Zuhra is worried that Amina may be taken away from her.< /p>
