Turkmenistan will meet Putin with 47-degree heat: the Caspian “five” will meet

The White Sun of the Summit

After his visit to Tajikistan, President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkmenistan. The Caspian summit in Ashgabat will literally be held in a hot atmosphere. Forecasters predict on June 28-29 in the capital of Turkmenistan the peak of heat — 47 degrees in the shade. However, this should not prevent the leaders of the five Caspian countries from discussing the “strategic nature of multilateral cooperation in the Caspian.” Moreover this time the summit coincides with the 65th anniversary of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who, although listed as the ex-president, still plays an active role in the life of the country.

Photo: Global Look Press

By the way, it was he who launched active preparations for the Sixth Caspian Summit last year. The event was supposed to take place in 21, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed to next summer. During this time, the leader of the host country of the summit changed, but Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov still managed to be in the spotlight. For the “anniversary theme” they are unlikely to be bypassed at meetings.

Although the main thing will still be the discussion of the principles of interaction that were recorded in the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea. The historic document that put an end to 20 years of disputes over the status of the Caspian Sea was signed during the last summit in Aktau in 2018.

Over the past years, four countries out of five — Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have ratified this document. But this has not yet been done by Iran. Meanwhile, the document will be considered to have entered into force only after it is ratified by the entire Caspian Five.

The essence of the Convention is that each of the five countries is entitled to territorial waters not exceeding 15 nautical miles in width. To these is added a fishing zone another 10 miles wide.  States have the full and exclusive right to dispose of their zones at their own discretion – to conduct marine scientific research, & nbsp; exploration and development of bottom and subsoil resources, laying main pipelines. At the same time, the approval of the entire “five” is not required, but only of those countries through whose sector a possible pipeline will pass.

The only thing that the countries must guarantee — the pipelines being laid will not upset the ecological balance. And most importantly – & nbsp; the ships of other countries will not be able to sail in the Caspian Sea, and even more so the presence of foreign armed forces. Only  vessels under the flags of the Caspian states. This was the requirement of Iran, included in the Convention.

And nevertheless due to internal political battles, the parliament of this country still has not “signed” document. Just the other day, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during his visit to Iran at a meeting with  President Ebrahim Raisi discussed the importance of this topic. And on June 29, this issue will most likely be discussed with Raisi by Russian President Vladimir Putin: his meeting with the President of Iran on the sidelines of the summit has already been announced.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's birthday, of course, will not be the main topic of the summit . Although it will obviously play its role, defusing the situation and setting the heads of five states in a “holiday mood”. There are no reports of any large-scale celebrations on this day. But a concert at the end of a hot day is promised: Jennifer Lopez will not be this year, but such foreign celebrities as Dr. Alban (Sweden) and Demet Akalin (Turkey) are expected…

The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Volyn” in Russian captivity was given a broom and a dustpan

Why this is not humiliating

The commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Serhiy Volynsky (“Volyn”), who surrendered in Mariupol, was captured in camp for prisoners of war with a dustpan and a broom. The photo appeared on the web. Our publication found out what kind of work prisoners of war can do in captivity and what threatens in case of disobedience.

On one of the telegram channels on Tuesday, June 28, a photo report about the everyday life of Volyn appeared. in a prisoner of war camp. The official face of the “heroes” of “Azovstal” appeared in a new role — with a broom and a shovel. According to human rights activist Dmitry Agranovsky, the use of the labor of prisoners of war is not prohibited, the main thing is that the labor should not be humiliating or dangerous.

— It is possible to involve prisoners of war in labor,” he said. – Including involvement in forced labor. The order of this attraction and in general all the details are regulated by the articles of the Geneva Convention of August 12, 1949, which is called “On the Treatment of Prisoners of War”.

The procedure for bringing prisoners of war to work is in many ways similar to the procedure for attracting prisoners. Thus, humiliating working conditions and work that pose a danger to life and health are prohibited. But there is also a characteristic feature of prisoners of war that prisoners do not have — This is a ban on engaging in military work. As for this case, cleaning the premises where prisoners of war are kept is not a humiliating or dangerous job, so there is nothing illegal here.

— For example, the construction or repair of military facilities. By the way, the Germans during the Great Patriotic War actively violated this provision, and prisoners of war built numerous military structures.

— Hazardous work is explicitly stated in the Geneva Convention. For example, this is the clearance of minefields, especially if it is not carried out by specialists. And nothing is said about the humiliating type of work. At first I wanted to cite the work of sewers as an example, but then I remembered the work of sewers at my dacha and realized that this is a very important job. Everything is individual here.

Probably, if the same cesspool activity is performed by an unprepared person, not a specialist, and a prisoner of war is deliberately involved in it, then this can be considered humiliating work. In general, prisoners of war are forbidden to be subjected to any humiliation — they even have their insignia left; everyone should be provided with documents. Even valuable valuables are confiscated only when it is necessary to ensure security, because conflicts can arise over valuable things in the team.

— If it is not proved that these things are the object of robbery then they will have to be returned. On the other hand, if the victims recognize the things seized from the prisoners of war as their own, then such a prisoner of war may have big problems. Not sure if you need to carry gold with you. As for money, it is a fairly impersonal subject. And to prove that the money was stolen is quite difficult. If this is not done, then, based on the same Geneva Convention, they will have to be returned.

— through disciplinary action. But they also should not be humiliating, cruel or crippling. For example, as a punishment, it is forbidden to reduce the diet.

Kaliningrad industrialist proposed to introduce a naval blockade of Lithuania

As well as using electronic warfare systems and completely abandoning economic ties in response to the transit blockade

Lithuania categorically refuses to revise its plans to blockade transit to the Kaliningrad region. And even Brussels is unable to influence the leadership of this Baltic republic. The Kremlin considers the neighbor's policy to be aggressive and unfriendly. Experts discussed what is happening in relations between Russia, Lithuania and the European Union today during the round table.

Photo: AP

“We are being probed,” says diplomat Andrei Baklanov, “in military affairs there is such a thing as reconnaissance in force. Now there is reconnaissance in force in several directions at once. And, according to our data, now there will be increased pressure in other areas. Apparently, American actions are being planned in Syria.”

In his opinion, “Lithuania is a small but very dangerous rival for us, which has the best connections with foreign intelligence services. All this should be taken very seriously and see the collective work of NATO behind it.”

“Often what is on the mind of the current politicians, on the tongue, is the expert on the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, RIAC expert Vadim Trukhachev commented on the statement of the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Latvia Maris Gulbis that Kaliningrad from Russia “needs to be taken away “. – This is a test of our ability to maintain transport communications, our diplomatic, military, and informational capabilities: What will be the answer to this, how tough? It is necessary to prepare for everything in general, but there will most likely be no military developments in the near future. However, the entire list of non-military measures will be used.”

According to Vladimir Matyagin, President of the National Association of Freight Road Transport “Gruzavtotrans”, there are ways to deliver goods to the Kaliningrad region. “The alternative is sea ferry transportation, which has been established for many years. But these are additional costs. Rise in the cost of freight, rise in the cost of products for local residents.

The question is what compensation will be from the government of the Russian Federation so that the enclave does not suffer in terms of provision.

Andrey Romanov, President of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Kaliningrad Region, believes that it is now important to analyze the decisions of Lithuania and the European Union and understand what cargo can be transported by land and which by sea, so as not to unnecessarily load ferries. Response measures, in his opinion, could be a complete ban on the import of Lithuanian goods, shutdown of the electricity supply system and a complete sea blockade. “It should be the same blockade for them. We also have an electronic warfare system that completely covers the sky for them. If they twist our arms, we should give them a warning,” he said. .

Regarding the prospects of Lithuania itself, experts give not the most comforting forecasts. Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of European Studies Nikolai Mezhevich believes that Lithuania's decision will hit its own economy hard.

“I think that the fall in the GDP of this Baltic country by the end of 2022 will be at least 8-12%,” says expert. – This is provided that the Lithuanian neighbors have learned to work well with numbers and always hide the real situation in the economy. We know all Lithuanian enterprises involved in the export of goods to Russia and Belarus, all intermediary firms. We are still the fourth partner for Lithuania in export-import operations. Plus, tourism played a big role. All this will go away. A military response should be categorically rejected, we are being provoked into it. Economic cooperation should be completely abandoned, Lithuania should no longer exist in this regard. Even a pack of cigarettes, a log or a bag of cement should not reach the European Union through them. Any trade with Lithuania is treason.”

A monstrous line for gasoline in the defaulted Sri Lanka hit the video

A local driver reported that he stood in line for four days and hardly slept.

Sri Lanka is going through a severe crisis due to default. Local residents complain about the lack of fuel, which is left for several days. Others do not have enough money for food, because entire sectors of the economy were closed in the country.

According to one of the local drivers, quoted by the Mash TG channel, he stood in line for gasoline for four days, while “did not sleep and did not eat properly”.

In different settlements many kilometers of traffic jams lined up at points, while, as it became known to the media, starting from July, only emergency and special services vehicles will receive fuel.

It is already reported that schools in Sri Lanka will be closed, and officials will work remotely, from home.

The fuel crisis has also affected tourists, who, along with everyone else, must queue.

If previously they were refueled out of line, now the rules have changed, and it is not clear how you can move around the recent green tourist paradise.

As Forbes clarifies, back in April it became known that the country has officially declared default. The lack of gasoline began even then, and protests have not stopped in Sri Lanka since May.

In the spring, the government headed by the prime minister resigned. Mass protests intensified as the prospect of starvation loomed. Now the authorities have lost the support of even former allies.

The national debt of the country is $35 billion, of which $7 billion must be repaid this year. Inflation, according to the local Central Bank, will reach 40% by the end of the year.

In turn, the World Bank refuses to provide assistance until Sri Lanka begins to pursue “an adequate macroeconomic policy.”

The amount of assistance that can be given to the country will only be enough for medicines, school meals and assistance to poor families and farmers.

Earlier, as reported by the Guardian, experts spoke of a default in which 74 countries of the world could find themselves , low income. They believe that the reason – in the post-pandemic crisis and the debts accumulated during the isolation.

In turn, JPMorgan Chase calculated that the consequences of Russia's NWO in Ukraine and rising loan prices will lead to a default of 10% of developing countries.

Earlier, Topnews wrote that the court of Sri Lanka banned the aircraft “Aeroflot” leave the country.

“Riding is a pleasure.” The most beautiful road in the Russian Federation is being improved under the national project

Story National projects

Summer in Russia, although short, is hot, especially for road builders — in a few warm months, it is necessary to build and renovate kilometers of roads connecting the cities and regions of our vast country with each other. In 2022, in spite of everything, there are big plans: to build and reconstruct more than 230 km of federal roads.

Part of the facilities are already ready — by the end of June, 41.6 km were put into operation in the regions of Russia, here not only the pavement was reconstructed, but also all the necessary road infrastructure was created. Work on federal roads is carried out under the national project “Safe and high-quality roads”.

The Chuysky tract in the Altai Territory is being expanded to four lanes. Photo: Uprdor "Altai".

A road with a rich history…

One of the renovated objects, which has already been opened to traffic, — section of the Chuysky tract — a road that stretches from Novosibirsk to Mongolia and, according to National Geographic magazine, is one of the five most beautiful roads in the world.

In the Altai Territory, a ten-kilometer section of the tract, which bears the official name R-256, was reconstructed from 173 to 183 km on the border of Talmensky and Pervomaisky districts. Cars drove over it on May 26. Date special — on this day, exactly one hundred years ago, the Chuisky tract was recognized as a state road.

It remains so today, only every year it becomes more comfortable. And the section that was reconstructed in 2022, — confirms this.

The road has been widened to four lanes. As the head of FKU Uprdor "Altai" Anatoly Volkov, U-turn loops and transition lanes were equipped here, and a two-level road junction was erected near the Ozerki station, so that it would be convenient for residents of nearby villages to travel to the federal highway.

On federal highways, according to the national project, they not only update the surface, but also create all the necessary road infrastructure, including lighting. Photo: Uprdor "Altai".

“In the area of the village of Ozerki, an underground pedestrian crossing was built, oncoming flows were separated by a metal barrier fence, and a parking lot for heavy trucks was arranged. In addition, new electric lighting lines were installed on a 14-kilometer section,” said Anatoly Volkov.

During the reconstruction of the Chuisky tract, the road builders used a technology that has proven itself well in Altai. Cement concrete was placed at the base of the structure. This is a solid “foundation” that does not give drawdowns. The roadway itself was paved with crushed-stone-mastic asphalt concrete, the resistance of which is higher than that of ordinary asphalt. Marina Yaskova, the section of the tract was reconstructed earlier than planned. According to the schedule, the segment was supposed to be put into operation in November 2022, but it will be finally ready in August. Now the final work is underway on the roadsides, traffic is open on the road itself, it is completely ready. ” height=”533″ width=”800″ style=”display: block;” />

…and modern quality

“At the beginning of the summer I spent my vacation in Altai, — tells aif.ru a tourist from Irkutsk Mikhail Vorontsov. — There are many sights there, and my family and I wanted to see everything so much that in 10 days we “wound” by car more than two thousand kilometers. I especially liked to ride along the Chuysky tract — I have never seen such a picturesque and high-quality road in terms of road coverage. Travel around it — a pleasure».

“Many people note the quality of federal roads in Altai. We achieve this through the use of modern design solutions and materials, as well as through stable funding from the federal budget, — says Marina Yaskova.

She notes that in the Altai Territory, road builders are focusing on expanding the Chuisky tract, since there is a very high traffic intensity: more than 20 thousand cars pass every day on the sections from Barnaul to Novosibirsk. According to the programs of the federal road agency, five sections of the highway are being expanded this year: three of them with a length of 14.5 km will be opened by December, two more — 12.6 km — is planned to be put into operation at the end of 2023.

In the Altai Republic, where there is less traffic, work is being done to improve coverage. Repair work is underway this year on more than a hundred kilometers of the road.

A two-level interchange was erected near the Ozerki station on the Chuisky tract. Photo: Uprdor "Altai".

From «Caspian» to the “Yenisei”

Federal highways under the national project are being updated not only in Altai. Another major object of this year — section of the R-22 “Kaspiy” road from 903 to 922 km in the Volgograd region. The work there was divided into three stages, the first two are already behind. 16 km of the renovated track — here the road was doubled to increase its capacity to 40,000 vehicles per day.

During the third stage, another interchange will appear, an elevated pedestrian crossing, and the second phase of the construction of a bridge over the river is also planned Tishanka.

Around the Chuya tract — picturesque places, it is one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Photo: Uprdor "Altai".

Another federal railway, which is being reconstructed according to the national project, — R-257 “Yenisei”. Road builders are renovating the section from 389 to 397 km in Khakassia. Here, the roadway is being expanded from two to four lanes, and an overpass is being erected over the regional road Ust-Abakan — Chernogorsk to separate traffic flows. The construction of this facility is already at the finish line, the overall readiness of the facility is estimated at 90%.

What kind of robot dogs “Spot” will be used in Ukraine for demining?

Plot RF special operation in Donbass and Ukraine

Information has appeared on the web from a source that the US army will provide one of its two Spot robotic dogs for demining in the Kyiv region. A demining company with several US government contracts to work in Ukraine will use a robot dog to clear mortar shells and cluster munitions near Kyiv.

Photo: Reuters

How does it work?

With the help of a robotic assistant, mortar shells, as well as cluster munitions, will be neutralized. Using a robotic arm, Spot will be able to assist in hauling unexploded ordnance. This will allow them to be blown up away from civilians in batches of 50 to 100 shells. The robot can also be used to easily move something far enough to a place where it can be safely detonated along with other projectiles.

Spot can be trained to automatically perform certain tasks without human assistance, such as turning it on and off anything.

Boston Dynamics began selling its Spot robot in the summer of 2020. Prior to this, for many years the device was tested and finalized exclusively within the walls of the manufacturer. In tests last year, Spot performed well with small variable projectiles like those seen throughout Ukraine.

Because the robot dog will operate in less predictable environments such as minefields, country roads and fields, its operators manually controlled the dog in trials. Within 10-15 minutes, she successfully collected and did not drop the raised ammunition.

Boston Dynamics did not comment on the transfer of the robot dog to the HALO Trust, the mine clearing company. According to the company's director of marketing and communications, Spot — it is an effective tool for protecting people from danger, and the robot is often used to inspect potentially dangerous materials from a safe distance. The company's terms and conditions do not allow a robot to be armed or used for purposes of harm or intimidation, he added. The U.S. Army Future Command, which approved the transfer of the dog, did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

In 2019, Massachusetts Police Departments loaned a Spot robot to remotely monitor suspicious areas or locations.

It takes about a month and a half to train sappers, but the robot dog is ready for work right away. In addition, many Ukrainian demining personnel fled or were sent to “plug holes” at the front.

More robots

Deminers are increasingly using equipment in the field, such as wire cutting machines and ground penetrating radar, to increase their productivity and reduce the risk of explosions. The US Army is funding the Common Robotic System, a small crawler robot that can clear buildings of bombs and identify enemies for infantry squads before close combat. Other units favor the Increment II, a six-wheeled man-portable robotic system that can be manually operated.

The Swiss Mine Action Fund will procure seven-tonne MV-4 robots that can traverse mined areas and clear vegetation that could hide unexploded ordnance left over from the fighting.

The State Duma adopted a law on the handling of secondary raw materials

The State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a bill on recycling. It introduces an obligation for Russians to ensure the separate collection of secondary resources. Firms will need to dispose of such resources, TASS reports.

Amendments are being made to the laws “On Production and Consumption Waste”, as well as “On Environmental Protection”. According to the authors of the bill, it will create a sustainable system for the treatment of MSW. This will make it possible to sort waste and halve the amount of waste sent to landfills.

The law establishes the concept of “secondary resources” and «secondary raw materials». From 2030, the disposal of recyclable resources will be prohibited, they will need to be disposed of.

Citizens will need to separately collect recyclable resources in places where garbage accumulates or hand them over to collection sites. These norms will apply from March 1, 2023.

Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will have to dispose of secondary resources themselves or transfer them to other persons for disposal.

Earlier it was reported that the volume of municipal solid waste in Russia sent for sorting in 2021 increased by 10% compared to 2020.

Will the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which we celebrate on July 8, be a day off?

On June 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on celebrating July 8 as the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. The corresponding document is published on the official portal of legal information.

“Set the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity and celebrate it on July 8th. This decree comes into force from the moment of its signing, — said in the decree.

The holiday was established in order to preserve traditional family values, as well as the spiritual and moral education of children and youth, Vladimir Putin noted.

Will July 8 be declared a public holiday?

July 8 is simply declared the day of the official celebration of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. There are no notes in the presidential decree that Russians should rest on this day.

According to the production calendar for 2022, Friday, July 8, 2022 is marked as a normal working day.

< p> The closest holiday, where the Russians have a day off during the working week, will be November 4th. This year National Unity Day also falls on Friday.

What is known about the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity?

On July 8, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the feast day of Saints Peter and Fevronia, who since ancient times were considered patrons of family and marriage in Russia. But Fevronia was a peasant woman, and the boyars were against their marriage, they did not want to see a man who married a simple peasant woman as their prince. Peter and Fevronia preferred family life to reigning on the throne of Murom. They lived happily ever after, dying on the same day and at the same hour in 1228. As it is said in the life, despite the fact that they were buried separately, their bodies miraculously ended up in the same grave. The couple became a model of marital fidelity and mutual love.

The tradition of the secular celebration of the day of Peter and Fevronia was restored by the residents of Murom in the 1990s, when it was decided to combine City Day with Family Values Day. And since 2008 The holiday received an all-Russian scale. Its symbol was the chamomile — wild flower, symbolizing dreams of love and fidelity.

What kind of unmanned attack helicopters are they planning to produce in Russia?

In Russia, they plan to produce attack helicopter drones weighing 750 kilograms to destroy enemy manpower and lightly armored vehicles. The Russian Helicopters holding can become a manufacturer of 750-kilogram unmanned aerial vehicles.

It is planned to produce drones that will be built according to a single-rotor scheme with a tail rotor, that is, like a classic helicopter . The advantage of this scheme is the simplicity of design and control system, which leads to a reduction in production, repair and maintenance costs. However, the tail rotor takes away part of the engine power (up to 10%) and at the same time does not provide either lift or forward thrust, and besides, it is vulnerable when flying close to the ground.

Purpose< /h2>

It will be a multifunctional reconnaissance and strike drone that can be used to search for and destroy enemy personnel, lightly armored vehicles, and other targets.

The drone can carry a payload of up to 200 kilograms, which is very good with its weight of 750 kilograms. In the basic configuration, it will have a gyro-stabilized optoelectronic system, an aiming system and six all-round cameras. The unmanned helicopter will be equipped with a tank version of the Kalashnikov machine gun with an ammunition capacity of 550 rounds, a firing range of almost 4 kilometers. Also, the drone will be equipped with eight unguided rockets and 16 anti-tank bombs.

What is it for?

Today in Russia there are no serial helicopter attack drones with a developed set of weapons, and such a machine would be useful, for example, when operating in urban areas or at the forefront. In addition to performing tasks over land, this kind of drones could be used in the Navy, both in terms of improving situational awareness and in terms of making it possible to quickly hit targets at sea.

The closest competitor of the planned drone in Russia — This is Aeromax's SH-750 UAV. The 800-kilogram drone belongs to the same type, which was created on the basis of the Skymak-3001 manned helicopter. The work on the project was carried out by NPO Aviation Systems, however, the status of the project, announced in 2017, is unknown. Emirati UAV Garmousha. Another drone belongs to the French — VSR700 developed by Airbus Helicopters for the country's Navy based on the Guimbal Cabri G2 manned helicopter.

What kind of nuclear submarine “Krasnoyarsk” first entered sea trials in the White Sea?

Multipurpose nuclear submarine (NPS) of project 885M “Krasnoyarsk”, being built at the shipyard “Sevmash” in Severodvinsk, for the first time entered the factory sea trials in the White Sea. At sea, the operation of on-board equipment will be checked, its seaworthiness and operational qualities will be determined for compliance with the design characteristics of the ship.

After sea trials, “Krasnoyarsk” waiting for state tests with a practical test of all weapons systems of the submarine. According to the plans of the Ministry of Defense, it will be accepted into the fleet at the end of 2022 — after completion of all tests, it will be transferred to the Pacific Fleet.

Improved submarine

“Krasnoyarsk” became the second submarine of the improved project 885M (“Ash-M”). The submarine was laid down in 2014 and launched on July 30, 2021. Nuclear icebreaker “Krasnoyarsk” built according to the improved design. Project 885M nuclear submarines were developed by the St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau Malachite. «Ash» were created to replace the Soviet multi-purpose boats “Pike-B” and “Antey”, which now remain the basis of the Russian submarine forces (the lost “Kursk” was built exactly according to the “Antey” project).

General characteristics

The nuclear submarines Yasen-M, to which Krasnoyarsk belongs, belong to the fourth generation submarines and are distinguished by a smaller displacement, improved on-board equipment, geometry and a new anti-sonar hull coating, which reduces the submarine's hydroacoustic visibility. These are multi-purpose boats designed to destroy both underwater and surface targets.

With a length of 120 meters and a width of 13 meters, the displacement is 13.8 thousand tons. She travels at 16 knots above water and 28 to 31 knots underwater. Maximum immersion depth — 480 meters. The submarines of this series differ from their predecessors in low noise and versatility — they have a very small crew for such a boat — 64 people. Autonomy — 100 days.

Provide cover

Initially, multi-purpose nuclear submarines had narrow tasks, they were intended to protect “strategists”; and attacks by carrier groups. But with the advent of universal cruise missiles such as the Caliber and “Zircon”, the tasks of multi-purpose boats have expanded significantly — now they can hit any ground targets. According to experts, the project «Ash» was created specifically to provide strategic nuclear submarines of the “Borey” type. «Ash» there will be eight, not counting the lead ship, — as many as there will be Boreev.

Full arsenal

«Ash» use universal launchers designed for various projects of submarines and surface ships and missiles. The main weapons of the submarines of this series are Caliber cruise missiles. and “Onyx”, and they can also be armed with the most modern hypersonic missiles “Zirkon”.

Basic project 885 “Ash” started in the 1980s. It was planned to build a series of 30 nuclear attack submarines according to it, but in the end only one appeared: Severodvinsk, commissioned back in 2014 (construction began in 1993). During the construction of “Severodvinsk” significantly outdated, nevertheless, it is currently part of the 11th division of submarines of the Northern Fleet.

It was decided to rework the project to the level of “Ash-M”, and the nuclear submarine K-561 was built on it “Kazan”. The submarine was launched in 2017 and accepted into the fleet in May of this year. Like the rest of the lead ships, “Kazan” traditionally not considered serial, because new production technologies are being developed on the submarine. At the end of last year, on December 21, in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region, the ceremony of handing over to the Russian Navy of the first serial submarine of project 885M — “Novosibirsk”.

In total, it is planned to build nine submarines of this class. To date, at Sevmash Six Project 885M Yasen-M submarines are at different stages of construction, the last two were laid down last year.

What kind of light off-road vehicles “Sarmat” did the Russian special forces get in Ukraine?

Plot RF special operation in Donbass and Ukraine

Sarmat-2 ultralight military vehicles deployed to Ukraine for special forces and airborne forces. These nimble, high-speed vehicles, capable of overcoming any terrain at high speeds, are ideal for operations behind enemy lines.

Project “Sarmat” was developed by order of the Russian Ministry of Defense by the Moscow Design Bureau “Tekhnika”, which ordered these vehicles after analyzing a number of armed conflicts. The combat use of special forces has shown that mobile special forces groups require light transport with high mobility and cross-country characteristics, which is capable of ensuring the work of units in different terrain conditions. All-terrain vehicles of the “Sarmatov” type can be used in all situations where rapid transfer of people and cargo to areas with difficult terrain is required. In addition, they can be used in raids behind enemy lines.

Special forces vehicle

Within the framework of the project “Sarmat-2” a lightweight two-axle all-wheel drive vehicle was created with ample opportunities for transporting goods or installing weapons. These cars have a bonnet layout. Such machines can be transported by air by army aviation helicopters on an external sling and carry a maximum allowable load of up to 600 kg with a total allowable gross vehicle weight of about 2000 kg. They were first shown during the Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2021” units of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation.

In the cockpit “Sarmat-2” can accommodate four fighters with weapons. Instead of a solid roof on the car, safety arcs with jumpers are used. They can also be used to install one or another infantry weapon. First of all, it is planned to mount existing machine guns of standard and large caliber, a 7.62 mm PKM machine gun, a 12.7 mm Kord machine gun, and a 30 mm AGS-17 Plamya automatic grenade launcher. But the possibility of using other weapons is not ruled out.

Engine from Niva

Chassis “Sarmat” It is built on the basis of bridges with spring suspension, has a two-axle wheel formula 4×4, the transmission includes interaxle and interwheel differentials with blocking, which in total ensures movement over rough terrain at high speeds. The car received a gasoline engine from the “Niva” with a capacity of 105 liters. with., which allows you to reach a speed of 130 km/h.

The machine is simple in design and does not need particularly complex components, therefore it has high maintainability, which is important in combat conditions. The design is made according to the bonnet layout with a central cabin and a rear cargo area. The cabin is made open. Length — 3.8m, width 1.8m, height — 2m. Gross weight — 2100kg with load capacity 600kg.

To be continued

At present, Sarmat-3 has been created, which is being tested. The general principle of the machine remained the same, but a number of characteristics were improved. So, the car became larger and heavier, and at the same time, the carrying capacity increased. The length of “Sarmat-3” grew to 3.9 m, width – up to 2 m. Gross weight – 3.5 tons with a load capacity of 1.5 tons. The gasoline engine was replaced with a diesel engine, a Chinese-made engine with a capacity of 153 liters is used. With. The machine shows higher driving performance. So, the maximum speed increased to 150 km/h. Power reserve — 800 km. Mobility on rough terrain is provided by a successful chassis design and remains at the same level. Several configurations are offered, in particular, the rear of the body can be used for mounting seats or for installing a cargo area-body. The machine can be installed from 2 to 8 seats. Devices for installing various weapons have been saved.

The FBI said operating costs for a $300+ million vessel are between $25 million and $30 million a year, and the United States will pay for the upkeep. vessel after it has been confiscated.

Macron and Scholz said that the G7 will continue to increase pressure on Russia

The West will continue to “increase the economic and political costs” of the Russian authorities, the leaders of Germany and France said following the G7 summit. Both Scholz and Macron noted that “Russia should not win”

Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz (left to right)

Sanctions against Russia will be in place for as long as necessary, said the French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference following the G7 summit in Elmau, BFM TV reports.

“Russia <…> shouldn't win. Our support for Ukraine and our sanctions against Russia will be maintained for as long as necessary,— said Macron.

The fact that the West will continue to increase pressure on Moscow, following the results of the G7 summit, was also announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He, like Macron, said that “Russia should not win” this conflict.

"The Big Seven" remains united in its support for Ukraine. We will continue to support and increase the economic and political costs <…> for President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin and his regime, — said the Chancellor.

G7 Summit (an informal association that includes Britain, Germany, France, USA, Italy, Canada and Japan) this year was held from 26 to 28 June at Elmau Castle in the Bavarian Alps. As a result of the negotiations, the leaders of the countries— G7 members said they intend to continue imposing “targeted sanctions” on against Russia. In particular, as US President Joe Biden said, we are talking about a ban on the import of Russian gold. In addition, the “Big Seven” is considering imposing a cap on Russian gas prices to cut Moscow's energy export revenues, Bloomberg has learned.

The Kremlin has repeatedly called Western sanctions against Russia illegal. Speaking about the possible limitation of prices for Russian gas, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that this issue should be discussed with Gazprom. As for the future ban on the import of Russian gold, the market for precious metals is quite large, voluminous and very diverse,” he noted. And, as with other commodities, if one market is no longer attractive due to illegal decisions, there is a “reorientation to where these commodities are more in demand and where there are more comfortable and more legitimate economic regimes,” the spokesman said.

Scholz ruled out the lifting of sanctions without a “just peace” between Russia and Ukraine

Until that moment, the G7 countries should continue the sanctions pressure on Russia, the chancellor said at the G7 summit. Scholz has previously stressed that Germany will not accept peace imposed on Ukraine

Olaf Scholz

Sanctions against Russia will remain in place until it concludes a “just peace” with Russia, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, reports Merkur at the G7 summit.

To prevent the terms of the peace agreement from being imposed on Kyiv, the G7 should continue the sanctions pressure on Moscow, Scholz believes.

In May, the chancellor stressed that Berlin would not accept “peace imposed on Ukraine.” He promised to continue to help Kyiv, but urged to prevent a military clash between Russia and NATO.

The military operation in Ukraine began at the end of February. Almost immediately after the outbreak of hostilities, the parties to the conflict began to discuss the terms of a possible peace. The Russian delegation received from the Ukrainian proposals for a settlement in writing after a meeting in Istanbul at the end of March, and after almost a month they handed over their proposals to Kyiv, but did not receive a response. In April, the Kremlin announced its desire to complete the special operation in Ukraine through negotiations. However, the dialogue was soon frozen at the initiative of Kyiv: they explained that the background of the negotiations was influenced by the events in Bucha.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on June 23 that Moscow would be ready for peace if Ukraine met all Russian demands. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted at the end of April that the parameters of the agreement between the two countries will be determined by “the stage of hostilities at which this agreement will become a reality.”

At the end of May, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the return of territories lost during the hostilities a condition for negotiations. The Russian Foreign Ministry criticized this position, doubting the sincerity of Kyiv to find a peaceful solution to the conflict. The head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia, said in early June that in order to resume the dialogue, Ukraine's negotiating position needs to be strengthened, including by supplying weapons from abroad. Later, he admitted that Kyiv’s negotiating position could be strengthened by the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine planned for the end of August.

Macron did not agree with the proposal to declare Russia a sponsor of terrorism

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky called for Russia to be declared a state sponsor of terrorism. The President of France said that he does not share such a “qualification” =”Macron did not agree with the proposal to declare Russia a sponsor of terrorism” />

Emmanuel Macron

France does not agree with the proposal of the President of Ukraine to declare Russia a sponsor of terrorism, French President Emmanuel Macron said. France does not share this qualification. We always try to be guided by legal concepts, & mdash; said Macron, speaking at a press conference at the G7 summit in Germany, broadcast by BFM TV.

However, he said that Russia is trying to destabilize the international order, using “the world's dependence on food and energy to put pressure on certain states.” In response to questions from reporters, Macron said he did not expect a settlement in Ukraine in the next few weeks or months, but expressed hope that this would happen by the end of the year.

“I am in favor of limiting the price of Russian oil because higher prices help Russia <…>. I hope that the result [in resolving the situation] can be achieved by the end of the year, but Russia cannot and should not win, — added the French president, noting that Europe will continue to implement sanctions against Russia and “support Ukraine and its people.”

Deripaska spoke about the “opposition retreating from Russia”

The businessman did not see the prerequisites for a change of power in Russia and doubted that “Fridman, Aven and Khodorkovsky would take up arms and break through to Bryansk in tanks”

Oleg Deripaska

There are no prerequisites for a change of power in Russia now, Oleg Deripaska, founder of UC Rusal, said.

“The opposition preferred beautiful European views, everything else, and retreated from the life of the country . <…> Wait that Mikhail Maratovich Fridman, or [Peter] Aven, or [Mikhail] Khodorkovsky (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of individuals-foreign agents.—) they will take weapons and break through in tanks to Bryansk— [this] is unlikely to [happen],” — said the businessman. He emphasized that this was “by no means a reproach”— there are simply no economic prerequisites for regime change, in his opinion.

Deripaska noted that he nevertheless understands why the Western leaders, who the Putin regime” are putting pressure on Russia: they have “no other answer to their voters.”

The businessman also said that “to destroy Ukraine” would have been a “colossal mistake”.

The three businessmen mentioned by Deripaska live in London. Co-founder of Alfa Group Mikhail Fridman and, until recently, Petr Aven, who headed the board of directors of Alfa-Bank, after the start of the military operation in Ukraine, were included in the sanctions lists of the EU and Great Britain. Friedman compared life under sanctions to house arrest and accused their authors of misunderstanding Russia: businessmen, according to him, can in no way influence the president's decisions on a special operation. He declared that “war can never be the solution” and called the conflict a tragedy for the peoples of Ukraine and Russia. Aven admitted that he did not understand how to survive under sanctions.

Roskosmos published images of “decision-making centers” for the NATO summit

Roskosmos published the coordinates and satellite photos of NATO's “decision centers” Medvedev said earlier that Russia could strike at decision-making centers “not in Kyiv”

State Corporation “Roscosmos” published on the day of the start of the NATO summit satellite images of objects in the countries— alliance members. The summit takes place from 28 to 30 June in Madrid.

“While representatives of the 30 countries of the alliance, as well as partners and candidates, will deal with the strategic concept until 2030, Roscosmos publishes satellite photographs of the summit venue and those same “decision-making centers” that support Ukrainian nationalists,— says in the publication of “Roskosmos” in Telegram.

According to Il Mundo, the summit will be held in the IFEMA pavilions in the Spanish capital. Because of the NATO summit, increased security measures were introduced in the city. In particular, according to the newspaper, the Interior Ministry sent an additional 12,000 police officers from other regions of the country to the capital. Together with the capital's police officers (also about 12 thousand people), they will carry out the tasks of protecting the leaders of NATO countries and their delegations, as well as ensuring the security of events.

One of the stated goals of the summit&mdash ; to agree and approve the strategic concept of NATO development for the next ten years, until 2032.

Russia in the new concept of the alliance will appear as the main threat, Bloomberg wrote earlier and said US representative to NATO Julian Smith.

China, according to Bloomberg and the Financial Times, will appear as a “system challenge” for the values, security and interests of the members of the North Atlantic Alliance. In the previous version of the NATO strategy, published in 2010, China was not mentioned at all, and Russia was mentioned as a partner.

The current NATO Strategic Concept was adopted in 2010. It notes the need for a “strategic partnership”; with Russia. The main tasks of the alliance in it are called collective defense, crisis management and security through cooperation. The 2020 NATO report on NATO reform identified Russia as the main military threat to the alliance until at least 2030.

Russia sees NATO expansion as a threat. At the end of 2021, Moscow put forward a demand for NATO to provide legal guarantees for the non-expansion of the alliance to the east, and also sent draft security guarantees to the United States and NATO. Also, Russian officials have repeatedly said that Moscow opposes Ukraine's accession to NATO.

Negotiations on these documents have not yielded concrete results.

On February 24, Russia began special military operation in Ukraine.

At the end of May, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the words of US President Joe Biden that Washington does not plan to supply Ukraine with weapons capable of delivering strikes on Russian territory, said that in the event If Russian cities are still attacked, Moscow may strike “not at Kyiv”, but at the centers where these “criminal decisions” are made. “Some of them are not in Kyiv at all,” — Medvedev stressed.

Lithuania banned gas imports from Russia, except for transit to Kaliningrad

Amendments to the legislation do not prohibit transit to Kaliningrad. Lithuania refused Russian gas at the beginning of April, its gas transmission system receives only the volumes necessary for transit

The Lithuanian Seimas (parliament) legally banned gas imports from Russia into the country, LRT reports. The amendments were supported by 123 deputies, two abstained.

Now the legislation prohibits access to the Lithuanian gas transmission system and the liquefied natural gas terminal in Klaipeda for suppliers from countries that are “considered a threat to national security.”

At the same time, the legislation does not prohibit the transit of gas through the territory of the country to Kaliningrad, restrictions do not apply to companies when supplying fuel to the Russian region. The agency notes that Russian gas continues to flow through the Lithuanian gas transmission system, but only the volumes necessary for transit to Kaliningrad pass through it.

Lithuania refused to supply Russian gas at the beginning of April, becoming the first state in the EU to make such a decision. Energy Minister Dainius Kreivis called the decision a “turning point”. The Lithuanian Ministry of Energy reported that the country is fully self-sufficient in gas through the Klaipeda LNG terminal. In 2017, Lithuania was the first in the EU to receive American LNG through this terminal. Lithuania stopped accepting Russian LNG through the port of Klaipeda in early March.

As Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Simonyte noted, the terminal in Klaipeda would not be enough to supply gas to all the Baltic countries, but the Minister of Energy is sure of the opposite.

The Lithuanian operator Amber Grid signed an agreement with Gazprom until 2025 for gas transit to the Kaliningrad region according to the “transport or pay” formula; (ship or pay). After Lithuania's decision to refuse Russian gas, Kaliningrad Governor Anton Alikhanov said that gas continues to flow through Lithuania in transit as usual.

Macron called the rise in energy prices in the EU a shock

Macron called the rise in energy prices in the EU after the start of the operation in Ukraine a shock He also denounced those who “got rich on the geopolitical context”, receiving super profits from the production of energy resources

The rise in energy prices after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine was a shock for Europeans, French President Emmanuel Macron said during a press conference -conference after the G7 summit.

“The conflict [in Ukraine] unbalanced energy prices, for the Europeans, obviously, this was a very strong shock.” said Macron.

He also stressed that oil and gas prices need to be better contained.

Macron also denounced those who made super profits from the sharp increase in energy funds, saying that they “got rich on the geopolitical context.” “We can clearly see that as we speak, producers are making windfall profits from oil and gas. After the crisis, world markets rose sharply. Is there any justification for such a sharp rise in prices? No»,— declared the president.

This spring, protests were held in some European countries due to rising prices. In Britain in April, citizens protested against the rise in energy prices after the authorities increased the price cap for gas and electricity by 54%.

The Guardian attributed the price increase to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic on production, as well as military action in Ukraine, because of which European countries restrict the import of Russian oil and gas.

In late May, British energy regulator Ofgem warned that electricity prices in the country could rise by another 42% by October. “The price changes that we see in the gas market really happen once in a generation, not seen since the oil crisis of the 1970s,” — clarified the head of Ofgem, Jonathan Brearley.

In France, taxi drivers and truck drivers protested in March, who were dissatisfied with rising fuel prices. They lined up on the roadways in different cities of the country, moving very slowly and thus practically blocking traffic.

President Vladimir Putin believes that Russia is not to blame for rising energy prices. The “short-sighted policy” led to this; The European Union, which speculated on the topic of green energy, he believes.

“I personally believe that many political forces in both the United States and Europe have begun to speculate on the natural anxiety of the inhabitants of the planet for the state of the climate, for climate change , began to promote this “green” agenda, including in the energy sector”, — he emphasized, adding that the possibilities of alternative forms of energy were overestimated. In his opinion, the importance of hydrocarbons began to be “belittled”, which led to a lack of investment in the industry.
