“Practice makes progress,” the post was simply captioned. It’s clear that Olympia has gotten plenty of practice already in her four years of life and the training likely won’t slow down anytime soon. The little one received plenty of praise for her tennis skills in the comments section, even from her aunt Venus Williams“It’s Oracene [Price] all over again!” The tennis pro commented, referencing how Serena is coaching her daughter just like their mom coached them.

Olympia knows how important it is to find a work-life balance and mom is always there to help her out with that. Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia looked like quite the pair in their matching PJs. Their new photo is just too cute!

The cat’s pajamas! Serena Williams, 40, and daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian, 4, looked like they woke up on the right side of the bed in a new Instagram posted Dec. 30. The tennis pro glowed while clad in a yellow leopard print pajama set. Besides her was little Olympia in a pint-sized version of the same outfit. In one photo the duo struck a sassy pose with their hands on their hips while another showed the tot looking up at her mom adoringly. Serena started the day on a positive note, captioning the snap, “Good morning. Make today your best day. What is your morning like?”

Not seen in the photo was Serena’s husband, 38-year-old Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, who the athlete began dating in 2015. The couple married in Nov. 2017 in a lavish New Orleans, Lousiana ceremony just months after welcoming baby girl Olympia that September. Serena explained how Alexis encourages her passions in 2019, telling Allure, “Alexis doesn’t dim my light. He puts me in the light, even if I don’t want to be. Serena Williams isn’t shy about being a teacher to her daughter, Olympia, both on-and-off the tennis courts – including in the makeup chair!

Chef. Piano player. Future tennis star. And now, makeup artist extraordinaire! There’s nothing Alexis Olympia can’t do! Tennis legend Serena Williams‘ four-year old daughter Olympia is once again trying her hand at a new business venture as the official makeup artist of her famous mother. Well, kind of. The darling little girl was captured helping mommy with her makeup on Wednesday September 29 and it’s, well…see for yourself!

A post shared by Serena Williams (@serenawilliams)

In a video Serena posted to her Instagram account, the preschooler is seen brushing the side of Serena’s face with tons of white powder, probably a translucent powder to keep the superstar looking shine free. This happens as Serena gives us a little bit of side eye, totally unaware that she’s in the hands of a makeup artist legend. As any great artiste, Olympia likes to do things her way. So, working backward from the translucent powder – which is usually applied last in a normal, boring makeup routine – Olympia then lightly dabs (or smacks?) Serena’s eyes with eyeshadow right on target.

Ever the patient mother, Serena asks if Olympia is done and her mini-me puts on the final touches: a sprinkle of foundation powder here, a little blush on the cheek there and a touch of lipstick to seal it all off. All done masterfully, of course. Guessing by the caption Serena added,”Make up artist position open. DM resumes,” she probably wasn’t totally satisfied with the results, but the good news is that Olympia can keep her job as number one daughter.

Both she and Olympia donned caramel one-piece swimsuits which they wore underneath navy blue rash guards, while jumping in front of the crystal blue waters and tropical palm trees. Serena also posed with her friend and events specialist Valerie Vogt, who rocked a red bikini.

The post came a few days after Serena posted a pic of herself and Alexis kissing Olympia — and she looked totally unbothered. “I could not pick just one pic to encapsulate our love for one another,” Serena captioned the pic, adding a heart emoji. In the first pic, Olympia’s famous mom planted a sweet kiss on her cheek. However, it was the very last snapshot, which features both Serena and Alexis giving their daughter a smooth on either cheek, that caught the attention of fans as she was serving some major side eye.

A mini Beethoven in the making! Serena Williams received a piano lesson from daughter Olympia, who proved to be a bit more skilled than her mom.

Serena Williams shared a sweet piano lesson from daughter Olympia Ohanian, 4, on Thursday, Sept. 2 — and let’s just say the athlete, 39, is much better on the tennis courts than the pianoforte. The tennis pro shared a TikTok that featured her daughter, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, showing off her knowledge of the right keys. When Serena pressed the wrong key, she jokingly asked her daughter, “Are you gonna fire me?”

Both mom and daughter wore matching Nike merch for the video: Olympia wore a bright pink Nike hoodie sweatshirt while mom Serena wore a white Nike baseball cap. “I teach her tennis… She teaches me piano,” the 23-time Grand Slam winner captioned the post.

It’s clear little Olympia has taken to piano. The tennis player similarly shared a charming photo of her daughter playing the very same instrument on her Instagram (below) in April. Serena previously revealed that she purchased that particular piano with her daughter in mind during her house tour with Architectural Digest published in February.

The athlete welcomed viewers into her 14,500 square feet mansion in Miami, Florida and showed off the stunning see-through piano, which also features a matching transparent stool. “I wanted a piano that my daughter would be able to play, but I didn’t want it to be so heavy,” she said in the tour. Her sister Venus Williams’ interior design company V Starr — which helped design her home — assisted with finding the piano.

Along with piano, Olympia is also highly skilled in hairstyling. Earlier this week, Alexis shared a video of his daughter combing and styling his long quarantine hair on Instagram. The Reddit co-founder rests his head on a pillow in the clip as his “new stylist” Olympia brushes it. “Are you gonna make me beautiful?” he asks in the video, to which little Olympia replies, “Maybe.”

Serena and Alexis welcomed daughter Olympia, full name Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., in September 2017. The following year, Serena penned an op-ed for CNN that chronicled her life-threatening childbirth complications. While also detailing her own harrowing blood clot complications that nearly cost her her life, Serena’s piece examined the maternal health disparities faced by Black women.

“Every mother, everywhere, regardless of race or background deserves to have a healthy pregnancy and birth. And you can help make this a reality,” she wrote, in part. “You can demand governments, businesses and health care providers do more to save these precious lives. You can donate to UNICEF and other organizations around the world working to make a difference for mothers and babies in need.”

“In doing so, you become part of this narrative — making sure that one day, who you are or where you are from does not decide whether your baby gets to live or to die,” she continued. “Together, we can make this change. Together, we can be the change.”

Serena Williams shared some pro tennis tips with three-year-old daughter Olympia during their practice session. See how the tennis great taught her little one the perfect form for a forehand!

Serena Williams‘ daughter Olympia looks like she’s nearly ready for The Championships, Wimbledon — well, almost! In a series of videos the 23-time Grand Slam champion, 39, shared to Instagram on June 17, Serena perfectly outlined some helpful tactics and tips for her daughter, born Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., to use when she’s ready to hit the court. “You know what Grandpa taught me?” Serena asked her youngster, referencing her father, Richard Williams, who served as coach for both Serena and her older sister Venus Williams for years.

Then, the world #8 tennis pro did a step-by-step breakdown of the perfect form for a forehand. “First thing you do is turn,” Serena instructed. As she went through the motion, Olympia, whom Serena shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, 38, followed suit! “Back, reach, hand, follow through,” Serena demonstrated to her three-year-old. Olympia nearly got the hang of it, but as Serena admitted, “that’s very complicated for a three-year-old, but you might get it.”

Along with this video, Serena also shared two more of her daughter practicing forehands. One element even involved a game for Olympia to play! “The Forehand Cracker,” Serena called it. The tennis champ lined up a series of marks on the court for her youngster to run to and try to hit a tennis ball with the swift motion of a forehand. Olympia showed so much promise, but that’s not a total surprise. Remember, her mama is a record-breaking athlete!

Another video also highlighted some of the intricate footwork needed for the sport. The mother-daughter duo ran around some lines on the floor, and even did a warmup that included a rendition of “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes!” It looks like Olympia is just about ready to join her mama or Aunt Venus on the tennis court!

But first, Olympia’s inspiring mom will head to Wimbledon for another shot at a record-tying 24th Grand Slam title. Serena has won the singles title at Wimbledon seven times, with her most recent Wimbledon singles title coming in 2016 — five years ago. The tournament was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, Serena seems poised to get on the grass and take London by storm!

Instead of words, the emoji of dancing twins was posted along with a tag to Qai Qai’s Instagram account.

Longtime fans of the 23-time Grand Slam champion, 39, and her sweet family know all too well how much Olympia loves Qai Qai. The three-year-old and her doll go practically everywhere together. Whether they’re hanging out for a fun pool day, or getting a tennis practice in, they always look too cute for words.

Speaking of tennis practice, Olympia recently made a major statement with her little tennis outfit that she wore in a June 9 Instagram post. While hitting the court and working on her overhead smash, Olympia wore a mini replica of her mom’s 2021 Australian Open Nike catsuit, inspired by Florence Griffith Joyner. Olympia looked so cute in the tennis outfit, and she showed off how much her skills had grown since her first lesson.

With Olympia’s tennis skills maturing each day, it’s a wonder fans haven’t seen her hit the court with her mama at a major! Of course, there’s definitely time for that in the future. With The Championships, Wimbledon, less than two weeks away, we cannot wait to see what Serena and Olympia get up to during their time in London!

The Michigan native’s perfect figure was on full display in the S by Serena “Gina Gaiter Dress” in mint, which appeared to be made out of a breathable stretchy fabric. Serena kept her highlighted hair in a loose curl and center parted as she posed for the photos, opting for a bronzed makeup look.

In another photo posted to the official brand’s account, Serena gave the camera a serious look as she modeled the frock. “A mint moment. Freshen up your summer style rotation in our latest collection of gaiter dresses,” the caption read, referencing the ensemble.

Serena Williams’ precious little girl, Olympia, posed up perfectly for a sweet new photo her dad, Alexis Ohanian, shared to Twitter! See the youngster in a frilly, pink Minnie Mouse dress.

While Serena Williams was hitting the tennis court, her adorable three-year-old daughter, Olympia, had a blast with her dad, Alexis Ohanian! The tiny tot, born Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., was photographed by her proud papa, 38, in a new photo he shared to Twitter on May 18. In the snap, which you can see below, Olympia looked super sassy and cute, rocking a bright pink Minnie Mouse dress with matching sandals!

For her pose, Olympia proved that she could totally work that camera — even at just three years old! The youngster opened her arms and rested her hands inches from her hips, as if to say “ta-da!” to everyone who saw the pic. Olympia’s hair was pulled up into a bun, and she sported a pink bow on top, looking absolutely sweet on the playground. “A mood,” her dad captioned the photo.

Olympia has seriously been having the best time with her mama and papa, who are in Italy as Serena preps for the upcoming French Open, Roland Garros, at the end of May. Just days ago, Olympia and her 23-time Grand Slam champion mama, 39, were spotted strolling through Rome and munching on some delicious gelato. The mother-daughter duo looked comfortable and casual, with Olympia sporting a matching set outfit with a pink base and black polka dots.

Before her excursion through the city, the adventurous three-year-old behaved like the model tourist while visiting the iconic Colosseum! In the May 13 Instagram photo, Olympia wore a pretty sunflower dress with a tiny jean jacket over her shoulders and arms with white sneakers. Olympia’s hair was styled into two buns atop her head, and she wore some bright yellow bows with the ensemble!

“Oh that’s just the Collesium,” the photo was captioned. Olympia and her dad, Alexis, are always by Serena’s side to support the tennis icon through all of her tournaments. Today, May 18, Serena bowed out of the Emilia-Romagna Open in Montechiarugolo, Parma, Italy, losing to her opponent, Czech Republic tennis star Kateřina Siniaková, in straight sets. While it was hard for fans of the beloved athlete to see her lose the match, they can rest assured that her cheering squad is right there to get her ready for the next tournament! We cannot wait to see what this little family gets up to in France!

Bill Gates is now admitting he had an affair with an employee after a new report claimed he stepped down from Microsoft board as a result of his infidelity.

Bill Gates, 65, is now admitting that he cheated on his soon-to-be ex-wife, Melinda, 56, before their split. The rather startling news comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Microsoft’s board of directors moved to remove him from its board in 2020 as it investigated the billionaire’s prior romantic relationship with an employee at the tech company. Bill, however, claims that the affair had nothing to do with his “transition off the board”.

Bill and Melinda Gates pictured in June 2018 — nearly three years before their May 2021 split. (Villard/Niviere/Sipa/Shutterstock)

While the board launched an investigation in 2019 after receiving a letter from an employee saying Bill sought to “initiate an intimate relationship” with her in 2000, according to the Journal, he resigned from the company in March 2020 — before the investigation was completed.

A spokesperson for Mr. Gates told the WSJ, “There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably. Bill’s decision to transition off the board was in no way related to this matter. In fact, he had expressed an interest in spending more time on his philanthropy starting several years earlier.” HollywoodLife later confirmed that the statement is correct.

Interestingly, not many people are surprised by Bill’s infidelity. In fact, The View hosts shrugged off his cheating during the May 17 episode of the daytime talk show. When it was asked whether Bill’s career and legacy would be tarnished by this revelation, Joy Behar said, “You know, this guys saves countries. And I don’t think that his personal peccadillos have had any effect, negatively, on what he does for the world with his money. I’m a fan of his.”

She then added, “I’m not judging people who commit adultery, but still do great things”.

How shocked are you by this Bill Gates news?

— AlexisOhanian.eth 7️⃣7️⃣6️⃣ (@alexisohanian) May 17, 2021

Meghan McCain also laughed about the news, saying it’s not shocking because “Men follow their penises”. She then added, “Men in power cheat on their wives, and water is wet, and there’s gambling in Casablanca, okay? I mean, sorry, it’s not revelatory.”

Serena Williams‘ husband, Alexis Ohanian, also took to Twitter to react to the news and wrote, “How shocked are you by this Bill Gates news?” He then joked that most of his followers were “clearly not shocked at all.”

Bill and Melinda Gates, who were married for 27 years, announced their split in a statement on social media in early May, saying they “no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives” but “will continue our work together” at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In court documents obtained by HollywoodLife, Melinda said their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” They did not have a prenuptial agreement in place, but they plan to divide their assets based upon a separation agreement. She and Bill share three kids: son Rory John, 21, and daughters Phoebe Adele, 18, and Jennifer Katharine, 25.

Like mother, like daughter! Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian stepped out with their three-year-old Olympia for a family day in Rome, Italy.

Serena Williams and her mini-me daughter Olympia Ohanian, have celebrated Mother’s Day with a gelato date in Rome! The pair were joined by her husband Alexis Ohanian, with whom the tennis champ shares her three-year-old daughter. As they strolled the streets of Italy, Serena and Olympia looked like twins in pink sneakers, as they walked hand-in-hand while eating their waffle cones. The mom-of-one rocked a pale green Nike sweater, matching shorts, and a Gucci crossbody bag.

She pulled her hair back into a loose bun, while staying protected in a blue face mask. Her husband, who famously co-founded Reddit, cut an equally casual figure in a white Nike tee, black shorts, and a purple face mask. Their little girl wore a purple graphic tee with black leggings and an adorable bun in her hair.

Fans of the world class athlete would know she’s in Rome ahead of the Italian Open, which began on May 8. Serena recently took to Instagram to share a snap of herself practicing at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in the French Riviera, ahead of the competition. Of course, when she isn’t dominating on the court, she’s hanging out with her husband and adorable daughter. Little Olympia proved just how quickly she’s growing up when she recently crashed her dad’s podcast.

The family were seen in Italy. Image: MEGA

“What you doing?” she asked her dad, as she climbed onto his lap wearing a Princess Belle dress. “Um…making a video,” Alexis replied. Olympia then told her dad, “I need earphones!” and began repeating the words her dad said, encouraging listeners to make their seat deposits for Angel City, the group hoping to bring a women’s soccer team to Los Angeles.

“I wasn’t planning on including Jr. in this but such is life – can you tell we did this in 1 take?” Alexis hilariously captioned the video, which saw his mini-me expertly repeat words back to him. She’s a star in the making!

Serena Williams shared how ‘cool’ it was to do a photo shoot with daughter Olympia after posing together for Stuart Weitzman.

Of all the things that Serena Williams is, she is definitely one proud mama! The 23-time Grand Slam champion, 39, joined Chief Marketing Officer for the Stuart Weitzman label, Behnaz Ghahramani, to chat about her experience posing for the Spring 2021 Campaign, Footsteps to Follow, and how it felt to collaborate with her three-year-old daughter, Olympia. “Honestly, I’ve shot a lot of things, and this is — I probably shouldn’t be saying this — but it was the best shoot I’ve ever been on,” Serena gushed, grinning from ear to ear.

Indeed, there was a very special reason why this photo shoot meant the world to the tennis great. “It was so fun,” Serena shared of the experience. “It’s also something I’ll be able to show her in 20 years and, you just can’t beat that.” Naturally, even the creative team behind the shoot was impressed by Serena’s daughter, born Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., and the energy she brought to set.

“She’s such a star,” Serena said of her little girl, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian. “It was so funny, because we were getting nervous and we’re like, ‘Okay, well, you know she took her nap [and] we can’t shoot with kids for that long,” the athlete shared. “She, like, went nuts,” Serena, who’s also a Stuart Weitzman global spokeswoman, said of Olympia coming onto the set of the campaign photo shoot.

The campaign also marked the very first time (but certainly not the last) that Serena and Olympia got to do an official fashion shoot together for a campaign. “It was so cool to have her on that set,” Serena continued. “I was a little nervous about it, at first,” she confessed. But the mom and mogul gushed about how “good” Olympia was in the spotlight.

Serena Williams gushed about her daughter Olympia during a conversation with Stuart Weitzman’s creative team [MEGA].If there was any question that Olympia is Serena’s mini-me, the answer is definitely a loud and proud ‘yes!’ Along with posing with her mom, Olympia has been spotted at various tennis tournaments, including the 2020 U.S. Open, cheering on her mama as she competes for more record-breaking titles. Now, Olympia’s taking tennis lessons of her own! We cannot wait to see this mother-daughter relationship continue to flourish and thrive as Olympia grows up.

Tennis phenom Naomi Osaka denied legend Serena Williams a place in the 2021 Australian Open final with her semi’s victory. Some Serena fans now think she may have played in Melbourne for the last time.

In a rematch of the 2018 U.S. Open women’s singles final, Serena Williams, 39, took on Naomi Osaka, 23, in the semi-finals of the 2021 Australian Open. Four years removed from Serena’s last Grand Slam title – the 2017 Australian Open, which she won while pregnant – the tennis icon was back in the hunt for her record-tying 24th title. Standing in her way was the woman who denied her that history-making accomplishment three years ago, the rising star of the sport, Naomi. She once again stopped Serena’s path to history in a dominant straight set 6-3 6-4 victory.

Serena has some fans worried that this may have been her last trip to Melbourne. After her loss, she took her time to wave a long goodbye to the wildly supportive fans in the stands at Rod Laver Arena. She took her loss gracefully, hugging Naomi at center court and congratulating the young phenom. Fans hope that this won’t be her final Australian Open, as next year when the event is held, Serena will have turned 40. Even the announcers found Serena’s long wave and walk of the court “unusual” and “poignant.” If this is Serena’s final year on the pro circuit, she still has another shot at that Grand Slam record with the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open still to come in 2021.

As a Serena Williams fan, this is my first time seeing her react like this after defeat. This has me emotional and worried. I hope she’s not planning to wrap it up soon.#AusOpen #AustralianOpen2021 pic.twitter.com/O3zbbqNefe

Naomi has cruised her way to the Semifinals, defeating most of her opponents in two straight sets – save two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza, who took the first set in her fourth-round matchup with Osaka. Serena had a similar path to the semi-finals. She struggled to take the first set against Anastasia Potapova in the third round, but ultimately won 7(7)-6(5), 6-2. Serena lost a set to Aryna Sabalenka in the fourth round but rebounded to claim victory. Her battle against Simona Halep in the quarter-finals turned heads with a decisive 6-3, 6-3 victory over 2019 Wimbledon Champion. Having struggled with quickness, Serena had regained her movement and took down the woman ranked No. 2 in the world. “I definitely think this is the best match I’ve played this tournament for sure,” said Serena afterward, per the Australian Open’s website.

“I’ve been watching her and I’m sure she’s been watching me,” Serena said of Osaka. “I feel like this is such a good opportunity for me just to keep doing my best. It’s the first Grand Slam of the year for me. I had an incredibly long, arduous off-season. And so, I’m honestly happy with every win I get.”

Willing the 2017 Australian Open put Serena at 23 Grand Slam title wins, just one less than Margaret Court, who has held the record since 1973. Serena came close to tying it four times since her 2017 win. After giving birth to her and Alexis Ohanian’s daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., Serena returned to the sport in 2018. Angelique Kerber defeated her in the 2018 Wimbledon final, lost the 2018 U.S. Open to Naomi Osaka, failed to defeat Simona Halep in the 2019 Wimbledon final, and came up short against Bianca Andreescu in the 2019 U.S. Open women’s singles final. Though 2020 saw Serena win her first title since maternity leave – the 2020 ASB Classic in Aukland – she was delimited in the third round of the 2020 Australian Open, lost the semi-finals of the 2020 U.S. Open, and pulled out of the French Open, citing an Achilles injury she sustained during her U.S. Open appearance.

While Serena has been reestablishing herself as the “G.O.A.T.,” Naomi Osaka has secured her spot as the future of tennis. She won the Australian Open in 2019 and the U.S. Open in 2020. During the 2020 U.S. Open, Naomi wore seven different face masks, each one bearing the name of a Black person — Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Philando Castile, and Tamir Rice – killed by police as a protest against systemic racism and police brutality. She went on to clench her third Major title at the 2020 U.S. Open, defeating two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka in three sets.

Tennis champ Serena Williams offered fans an in depth look at her waterfront mansion in Miami, in a new video for ‘Architectural Digest’.

When it comes to 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, we’d expect nothing less that total luxury from her sprawling Miami mansion. The tennis pro, 39, invited Architectural Digest into her 14,500-square-foot property ahead of her March cover story, and opened up about how she designed the home — with the help from her sister Venus Williams, 40. “I was moving away from Venus for the first time in my life, so I wanted it to be really meaningful,” Serena said, explaining that she had previously lived with her big sis in Palm Beach Gardens.

“You have to know your lane. I’m really good at playing tennis; I’m not as good at interiors. But I was able to learn through just watching Venus.” When the mom-of-one bought the home, she had just started dating Reddit founder, and her future husband Alexis Ohanian. The pair wed in September 2017, and now share a three-year-old daughter, Olympia. “We had just met, and I wasn’t going to be like, ‘Hey, let’s do this together’. That would have been really weird for him,” Serena said, before noting that their little girl has the most extravagant room in the house, thanks to her custom-made castle bed equipped with a slide.

“She goes down the slide every night while we’re thinking, ‘Man, we shouldn’t have done that, because now at bedtime, she just wants to slide,’” Serena laughed. “But whatever makes her happy makes me happy.” The mansion also features a backyard infinity pool, a gym with a sauna, a wine cellar, and of course, a trophy room where she houses all of her first place titles. “I am not a fan of just having spaces to have them. Maybe some people use their formal living rooms, but we don’t,” she explained, noting that the foyer was one of her favorite parts of the house.

Of course, Serena also had a few surprises up her sleeve! She revealed the secret karaoke room behind a bookshelf in the gallery room, which was equipped with a stage, and even a neon sign reading “sérénade.” Nevertheless, it might come as a surprise to fans that the sprawling property didn’t have a tennis court. “I wanted to separate home from work,” the decorated athlete explained. “I love being home. When you have our job, you never get time to relax. So it’s good for me to be able to sit still and not do anything.”

Serena Williams happily took to Instagram to share a gorgeous video of herself showing off her confidence and toned physique in a white tank top and denim shorts.

Serena Williams, 39, was an awesome sight to see in her latest social media video! The tennis champ shared a clip of herself flaunting her incredible hair and figure while being cheeky for the camera. In the Instagram post, which she posted on Dec. 24, she’s wearing a white tank top and Daisy Dukes as she flips her long honey-colored tresses over her shoulder and gives a fierce look to whoever is filming her.

Her toned muscles were on full display in the epic clip and proved she’s in stellar shape! She didn’t caption the video, but it was clear to see one wasn’t needed when she received a plethora of compliments. From followers commenting on her hair to others loving her style, there was no shortage of positive words.

“This is everything. You betta SLAY queen 😍😍!” one fan wrote while another asked, “How is it that Serena looks like she’s getting younger and younger. 😍😍.” A third said she had “body goals” and many more posted fun and sweet emojis such as the thumbs up and the red heart.

Before her latest post, Serena made headlines for posting the cutest “mommy and me” photo with her three-year-old daughter Olympia, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, 37. In the pic, the happy athlete is posing with the adorable tot as they both smile for the camera. “office mommy and me vibes,” she captioned the epic snapshot.

Serena also showed off Olympia wearing a look her mom is used to when she posted a pic on Nov. 19. The cutie was sitting on an outside bench while donning a light blue tennis dress and taking a drink from her kid’s size water bottle, which was Frozen-themed! The cuteness didn’t stop there though. Right next to her, holding a slew of tennis balls, was the animated version of her favorite little doll Qai Qai! The fun-loving photo was shared on the little one’s own page, which is most likely run by her parents, and featured a caption contest for followers.

Tennis pro Serena Williams’ mini-me daughter Olympia looked adorable in a new snap posted by her proud dad Alexis Ohanian.

Serena Williams‘ three-year-old daughter, Olympia is seriously adorable! The tiny tot’s proud dad, Alexis Ohanian, 37, shared a sweet new snap of her to Twitter on December 20. “Found a random cute photo of @OlympiaOhanian on my desktop and here you go, twitter,” he captioned the happy snap. The toddler rocked a pink Nike tee while standing in front of a staircase with her hands crossed. Her hair was pulled back into two adorable buns, accessorized with two pink pom poms. “Aww she so pretty a cross between Serena and you!! A beauty!!” one follower replied, while another wrote, “love the matching outfits she’s just the cutest.”

The tennis champ has definitely found a mini version of herself in Olympia, as the mother-daughter duo often twin in matching outfits. Just last month, the three-year-old posed on the court with a large racquet in hand. In the November 12 snap, little Olympia rocked a red Nike tennis dress and a matching headband with bow on it. She also wore white sneakers and pulled her hair back into a tight bun.

“Catching all the shade they’re throwing and then some,” the caption hilariously read, and fans couldn’t get enough. “She’s getting so big,” one follower wrote, while another commented, “So cute to see Olympia wear a red Nike dress like the one Serena wore during the summer tournament.”

As fans of the world class athlete would know, Serena and her husband Alexis have had a big year. Back in June, the entrepreneur announced his resignation from Reddit, the company he co-founded more than a decade ago. The 37-year-old revealed that he would be stepping down from his board seat and urging his co-workers to hire a Black candidate to replace him. “Having diverse views on any boards is important. So proud of you Alexis,” Serena wrote, adding that he was setting a great example for their daughter. “I know Olympia will be [proud] too.” Talk about a power couple!

Alexis Ohanian set up a Florida winter wonder land for his wife, Serena Williams, and their daughter Olympia to go sledding on. Serena and Olympia even wore matching princess dresses for the at-home snow day.

Serena Williams‘ family didn’t need to travel to Aspen to have a snow day. They went sledding right in their home state, sunny Florida! Of course, the snow was fake, but it still built an impressive slippery slope that Serena and her three-year-old daughter, Olympia, went sledding down on Dec. 10.

Olympia gave Serena a helpful push before the Grand Slam champion shot down the slope of fake snow, which Serena shared a video of on her Instagram page on Dec. 11. Serena’s husband and Olympia’s dad, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 37, smiled as he watched his gorgeous wife go down the icy hill on a tube. It looks like he was responsible for setting up the nearly-real winter wonderland! “Florida snow days by @alexisohanian,” Serena wrote in the video’s caption, in which she also thanked Olympia for “pushing” her.

Olympia also got her own chance on the sled, and Serena shared an adorable clip of the moment on her Instagram Story! The iconic mom-daughter duo even twinned in matching outfits that looked straight out of the Disney movie, Frozen: princess-like dresses made of a pretty champagne satin and  glittery floral patterns, topped off by lilac sashes and beige cardigans.

Olympia is always living out her Disney dreams in princess dresses, which her famous mom sometimes joins her for. Serena even teased that “princess attire” is “required” for conversations with Olympia, and so she wore a matching dress with her daughter in April.

When they’re not playing dress-up, this mom-daughter duo is simply having fun with one another. In recent weeks, Olympia has practiced her doctor skills by giving her mom a fake COVID test, and also joined Serena at the office where they showed off their mommy-and-me business casual outfits. Serena has also been accompanying little Olympia on the tennis court, after signing up her budding star for tennis lessons. It’s clear that boredom is not a word in Serena and Olympia’s dictionaries.

Serena Williams and her daughter, Olympia, wore business-casual outfits for their adorable ‘office’ date.

It looks like it was “Bring Your Kid To Work Day” for Serena Williams. The Grand Slam champion took a break from the tennis court to get some work done in an office, where she was joined by her three-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. The dress code seemed to be business-casual; Serena wore a navy blue blouse with a lovely floral print, while her mini-me looked so cute in a daffodil yellow blouse, to channel “office mommy and me vibes.”

Serena shared the sweet mom-daughter selfie on her Instagram page on Dec. 1. On top of the professional outfits, Serena and Olympia also had on matching bright smiles. Fans’ hearts melted over the photo, and they left comments like “Adorable” and “Beautiful vibe!”

Serena also shared a solo selfie, which showed her sitting in the office that had a display of her 2015 cover for Sports Illustrated, which had declared her the “Sportsperson of the Year.” Serena wore her hair in a bun in the Instagram photo, similar to Olympia, who had two cute hair buns.

Olympia is always channeling her famous mom’s fashion. For a tennis practice in the middle of November, the toddler rocked an athletic pleated dress that was reminiscent of the outfit that Serena wore for the fourth round of the U.S. Open tennis tournament in Sept. 2018. For another practice that week, Olympia wore a red tennis dress from Nike, proving that she’s not only inherited her moms’ grace on the court but her sense of style, too.

Whether they’re hanging out in the office or at the tennis court, it seems like Serena and Olympia are always together! They even teamed up to deliver an acapella cover of the PAW Patrol theme song at the end of October. Olympia makes sure to show just as much interest in her mom’s activities, too, like when she adorably cheered on Serena mom from the sidelines at the 2020 U.S. Open in September.

Serena Williams and her adorable three-year-old daughter, Olympia, enjoyed some downtime and watched ‘PAW Patrol’ in a new video where the tennis champion’s ‘baby’ didn’t even blink!

Serena Williams is enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation with her favorite girl — three-year-old daughter, Olympia. In a new video the 23-time Grand Slam champion, 39, shared to Instagram on October 8, Serena seemingly shot a video at a selfie angle capturing her daughter, born Alexis Olympia Ohanian, watching the Nick Jr. hit PAW Patrol. Olympia could hardly keep her eyes off of the screen — literally!

During the entire video, which you can watch above, Olympia didn’t even blink once, as her big, beautiful brown eyes were totally fixed onto the TV screen. “My paw patrol loving baby,” Serena captioned the sweet clip, adding an emoji with hearts all around. Oddly enough, the official PAW Patrol Instagram account even commented on the post, writing to the tennis great, “Welcome to the PAW Patrol years!”

Settling down and watching some PAW Patrol with her little girl couldn’t have come at a better time for Serena. The decorated athlete withdrew from the French Open, Roland Garros, just over a week ago on September 30, citing an Achilles’ tendon injury she sustained from her semi-final match at the U.S. Open, where she fell to fellow Grand Slam champ Victoria Azarenka. “I feel like my body is actually doing really, really well,” she assured reporters at her September 30 press conference.

“I just ran into, for lack of a better word, bad timing and bad luck, really, in New York. It happened, but my body is actually doing really, really well,” she said. With some time to recover and heal, that means Serena has the rest of 2020 to spend with her daughter, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, 37. In fact, the family enjoyed a few days in Paris, where little Olympia gave the best side-eye to someone at a restaurant in a snap posted to her own Instagram account!

But as many fans know, Serena will surely be back on the court soon. The next major tennis tournament she has her eyes on is the Australian Open — which is the last major she won before giving birth to her daughter in 2017. The first Grand Slam of 2021 takes place in January, and will give the champion another opportunity to achieve a record-tying 24th Grand Slam title. While Serena takes some well-earned time off, we cannot wait for the Olympia content that is surely on the way!

Olympia is her mom Serena Williams’ #1 fan! The 3-year-old snuggled up to dad Alexis Ohanian in the stands as Serena claimed a victory against Sloane Stephens.

Olympia Ohanian, 3, stole the show at the U.S. Open where her superstar mom Serena Williams, 38, was competing! The toddler was so cute as she patiently sat with dad Alexis Ohanian, 37, to cheer mom on — leading Serena to give her a shoutout on TV! “You’re zoned in right now on the most important fan in the crowd right there — what do you hope Olympia saw in this match with mom?” a reporter asked Serena.

“Oh man! I forgot she was coming out, so I hope that she saw her mama fighting,” Serena — clad in a red Nike sports bra and black face mask — replied back, sweetly saying “Hi, baby!” to the 3-year-old. “I don’t think she was paying attention between you and me, to tell you the truth. She may have been playing with some princesses upstairs,” she hilariously added.

Serena won the Sept. 4 match against fellow tennis player Sloane Stephens, 27, as she continues on her journey to potentially win her seventh U.S. Open! The duo previously faced off in 2015, and superstar Serena absolutely slayed this most recent match with wins in the later sets. Sloane previously won the title in 2017, while Serena last claimed a U.S. open win in 2014. Last year, she was the runner-up to Canadian Bianca Andreescu, 20.

Olympia kept the enthusiasm going as she proudly clapped for her mom after her first set 6-2 loss to Sloane. Sitting with a caretaker, the adorable little girl showed off her style with a cool jean jacket, keeping her curly hair in a bun with a bright yellow scrunchie. She looked so grown up with her very own VIP ID badge for the game, responsibly rocking a baby blue face mask to help protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Fans were loving the adorable videos of Olympia at the match, and gushed about them on Twitter! “Priceless!! That is a memory to be shared over and over again. Olympia will love hearing it too!” and “Omg cuteness overload” two fans posted, while a third added, “Olympia clapping for mom is EVERYTHING.”

Serena Williams’ Big Return to the Courts: A Look at Her Road Back to Tennis

A legend is about to return to the tennis court.

After a year full of personal highs that kept her off the court, Serena Williams, a clear GOAT in the world of tennis if there ever was one, is returning to the action for her first match in over a year with this weekend’s Fed Cup in Asheville, N.C. And while she won’t be making her grand return in any of Saturday’s singles matches, delaying her appearance on the court until Sunday, Feb. 11 when she partners with Lauren Davis to take on Lesley Kerkhove and Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands in a doubles match, the wait for fans will be nothing compared to the last time they saw Williams slay the women’s singles competition at the 2017 Australian Open over a year ago.

Mario Testino/Vogue

After Williams proved victorious in Melbourne, beating her sister Venus Williams and surpassing Steffi Graff‘s Open Era record with her 23rd Grand Slam singles title, ensuring her return to No. 1 ranking, she began her surprising retreat from the sport that made her a superstar. She withdrew from the upcoming Indian Wells and Miami Opens, citing a knee injury. “Sadly, I have to withdraw from the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the Miami Open,” she said that March. “I have not been able to train due to my knees and am disappointed I cannot be there. I will keep moving forward and continue to be positive. I look forward to being back as soon as I can.”

However, sports fans were thrown for quite a loop when Williams revealed that she was 20 weeks pregnant just a month later, breaking the news that she and then-fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, were expecting via Snapchat. And yes, for all the mathematicians at home, that does mean that she won the Australian Open while roughly eight weeks pregnant. Her impending maternity leave wouldn’t be the first break from tennis that Williams had taken in her career, and she certainly wouldn’t the first female tennis champ to leave the tour to start a family only and return successfully, but when you’re riding high at No. 1, there’s always trepidation about losing your momentum.

“It’s hard to figure out what the end of your tennis career should look like,” she told Vogue in August. “I used to think I’d want to retire when I have kids, but no. I’m definitely coming back. Walking out there and hearing the crowd, it may seem like nothing. But there’s no better feeling in the world.”

After all, there was still one major record looming in the not-too-far-off distance, just begging Williams to smash it: Margaret Court’s 24 Grand Slam titles. “Obviously, if I have a chance to go out there and catch up with Margaret, I am not going to pass that up,” she told the magazine. “If anything, this pregnancy has given me a new power.”

A plan was set: She would return to the court in January to defend her Australian Open title.  “It’s the most outrageous plan,” she admitted. “I just want to put that out there. That’s, like, three months after I give birth. I’m not walking anything back, but I’m just saying it’s pretty intense.”

The very next month, on September 1, to be exact, she and Ohanian welcomed baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. into the world. And that plan to return to Melbourne? Well, it went out the window. Though we—and maybe even the pro herself—wouldn’t know that until the new year.

As she adjusted to motherhood, something she’d just admitted to Vogue the month prior that she worried she wasn’t quite ready for just yet (“That’s something I have to work on,” she told the publication. “I’m so used to me-me-me, taking care of my health, my body, my career. I always ask, ‘Am I going to be good enough?’”), it was clear that she was more ready than she might’ve thought.

Mel Barlow & Co. / Allan Zepeda / Brides.com

In an open letter to her mother Oracene Price published on The Washington Post‘s website, she thanked her mama for preparing her for motherhood simply through leading by example. “Thank you for being the role model I needed to endure all the hardships that I now regard as a challenges–ones that I enjoy. I hope to teach my baby Alexis Olympia the same, and have the same fortitude you have had,” she wrote, while also remarking at the similarities she noticed in her own little one. “She has my arms and legs! My exact same strong, muscular, powerful, sensational arms and body,” the athlete continued. “I don’t know how I would react if she has to go through what I’ve gone through since I was a 15 year old and even to this day.”

Becoming a mother and stepping away from the court while ranked as No. 1 wouldn’t be the only major changes Williams faced in 2017, however. There was also the small matter of making it official with baby daddy Ohanian. Nearly a year after getting engaged, and just two months after becoming parents, the happy couple tied the knot in front of family and friends, with a star-studded guest list that included Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Ciara, Russell Wilson, La La Anthony, Anna Wintour, Kelly Rowland, and more, on November 16 in New Orleans. And by all accounts, it was a fairy tale evening.

“Serena loves Disney and Alexis and Serena danced their first dance song to ‘Tale as Old as Time.’ I think that song is really significant because that song’s from Beauty and the Beast and they come from two such different worlds and I think that was the theme of the evening,” Brides Executive Director Lisa Gooder revealed to E! News. “There were a lot of athletes and sports stars blended with the tech community from Alexis.”

The evening, which also included a surprise performance from R&B group New Edition (and a choreographed dance courtesy of Williams and Ohanian) and a carousel, hit its high point when the pair shared their personalized vows. “Alexis really was amazing during the ceremony. The couple wrote their own vows,” Gooder said. “They were super personal and he really delivered and said ‘You are my Queen and we already have our Princess.’  Everybody was crying. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”

“I never wanted a traditional wedding,” Williams told Vogue in January. “I wanted a strong wedding.” By all accounts, she got it.

With a luxe tropical honeymoon in the Bahamas out of the way, it was time to turn her eyes back to the prize: Getting back on the court and reclaiming her top spot. Despite being absent from the game for nearly the entirety of 2017, she still ended the season ranked No. 22 in the world. However impressive that may be, she still faced a long climb back to No. 1 ahead of her. “Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams,” she told Vogue. “I’m well aware of the record books, unfortunately. It’s not a secret that I have my sights on 25.”

This time, though, she felt she might just have the ace up her sleeve she’d been waiting for all her life. “And actually, I think having a baby might help. When I’m too anxious I lose matches, and I feel like a lot of that anxiety disappeared when Olympia was born,” she continued. “Knowing I’ve got this beautiful baby to go home to makes me feel like I don’t have to play another match. I don’t need the money or the titles or the prestige. I want them, but I don’t need them. That’s a different feeling for me.”

However, her re-ascension would have to start after January’s Australian Open. As Williams revealed that month, her training after giving birth to Alexis Olympia was delayed thanks to a terrifying medical ordeal that befell her just after her emergency C-section. The next day, Williams’ doctors found several small blood clots in her lungs, which caused coughing, which, in turn, caused her C-section wound to re-open. As she went back in for surgery, doctors found that a large hematoma had flooded her abdomen, making a filter in her vein necessary to prevent more clots from forming. All told, Williams spent her first six weeks as a mom bed-ridden. After losing an exhibition match in late December at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, Williams came to the realization that she just wasn’t ready to defend her title in Melbourne.

“After performing in my first match after giving birth I realized that although I am super close I’m not where I personally want to be,” Williams wrote in a statement posted to her Snapchat. “My coach and team always said ‘Only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way.’ With that being said I am disappointed to say I’ve decided not to compete in the Australian Open this year.”

She concluded her note, “However, the memory of last year’s Open is one that I will carry with me and Olympia and I look forward to coming back again. I appreciate the support and understanding of my fans and everyone at the Australian Open.”

With her eyes on Indian Wells in March, this weekend’s Fed Cup, her first since 2015, is the official start of Williams’ rebound—albeit one that, just a day prior to beginning, was delayed a bit further when it was revealed that she wouldn’t be participating in any singles matches today, as originally thought. “This is definitely the start of a long process,” Williams told the crowd of reporters in Asheville. “I’m ready and excited to be chosen to the team. I’m very happy to be here. Physically I feel good. Every day I get better and stronger.”

Whatever the delay, there’s no doubt that Williams is back and ready to fight.

“It’s interesting,” she told Vogue. “There hasn’t been a clear number one since I was there. It will be cool to see if I get there again, to what I call my spot—where I feel I belong. I don’t play to be the second best or the third best. If there’s no clear number one, it’s like, yeah, I can get my spot back. But if there is a clear number one, that’s cool, too, because it’s like, yeah, I’m gonna come for you.”

We can’t wait to watch.
