Dwyane Wade is grateful for boxing legend Mike Tyson’s support for his daughter Zaya, especially after rapper Boosie Badazz made transphobic comments about her.

Dwyane Wade received so much praise and support when he opened up about his 13-year-old’s gender identity during a Feb. 11, 2020 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He revealed that his daughter Zaya goes by she/her pronouns and no longer is called her birth name, Zion. Despite Dwyane’s unconditional love and support towards his daughter’s decision, there were haters, including rapper Boosie Badazz, who made transphobic comments. After legendary boxer Mike Tyson, 54, confronted Boosie about his statements, D-Wade is thankful that Iron Mike called out the rapper.

“I actually talked to Mike about that early in the pandemic,” the 38-year-old retired NBA superstar revealed on the Nov. 20 episode of Central Ave. “We had a conversation. I appreciated it from a standpoint of, you know, Mike is someone who has never tried to be perfect. He is someone who has learned from this journey of life. He’s one of the people who is so smart. He is so educated and knowledgeable about life, For him to be able to drop that nugget on the world, to me, it was great to hear him say that,” Dwyane revealed when it came to Mike confronting Boosie.

The 38-year-old Baton Rouge rapper went on a transphobic Instagram rant on Feb. 18 after Dwyane’s announcement about his transgender daughter. “Dwyane Wade you’ve gone too f**king far,” he began, saying that Zaya was too young to even know “what their next meal is going to be.” “That is a male. A 12-year-old. They don’t have sh-t figured out yet,” Boosie blasted. He told  Dwyane, “Like, bruh, for real, if he gonna be gay, let him be gay. Don’t dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12 years old. He’s not up there yet. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet.”

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike took Boosie to task for his comments during an Oct. 23 episode of his podcast, Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. “How do you feel about other people’s feelings? You offend a lot of people when you talk about gay motherf**kers” and several homophobic slurs. “A lot of times I need the shut the f**k up,” Boosie admitted and Mike sternly asked, “Why don’t you?” as the rapper claimed it would be “hard.” You can watch Mike take Boosie to school starting at the 3:55 mark:

Mike then asked, “Why do you say things about a person who might be a homosexual? Do you think there’s a possibility you might be a homosexual and if you disrespect them it furthers yourself from being a homosexual? You may like homosexuals.”  Boosie said he was “straight as an arrow,” and then Mike asked him “if you’re straight then why do you offend people?”

Boosie replied, “I really commented on the Dwyane Wade situation because I got offended because it’s a child. That’s really why I got offended,” and added if it had been and 18 or 19-year-old he probably wouldn’t have said anything. “I just felt like at 12, a child can’t make that decision. That’s just how I feel.” Mike then said even though he felt the same way, “Who the f**k am I to say anything. What I think don’t mean a motherf**king thing.” Mike then asked, “Who the f**k are we to make a comment about somebody’s life? Who are you?” Boosie then replied “I said it and I stand on what I say.” Well, at least Mike went there with Boosie and tried to reason with him that it’s not his place to openly call out someone else’s life decisions like that.

Rapper Boosie Badazz has reportedly been involved in a Dallas shooting, suffering a gunshot wound to his leg. Here’s 5 things to know about him.

Boosie Badazz has reportedly been shot in the leg while paying respects to fellow rapper Mo3, who was killed in the same location just days prior. The 38-year-old was shot in Dallas near a strip mall, per TMZ, who reported that someone opened fire on the van Boosie was traveling in. According to the outlet, he was treated in the hospital for a gunshot wound below the knee and his injuries were non life-threatening. HollywoodLife has contacted the Dallas Police Department, who declined to identify Boosie. Here are 5 things to know about the rapper.

1. He was diagnosed with kidney cancerThe Louisiana-born rapper revealed the news to his fans in an Instagram post on Nov. 25, 2015. “I need all my fans to pray for me,” Lil Boosie captioned a photo of himself eating on Instagram. “Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys.” Less than two weeks later he underwent surgery to have the cancer removed from his kidney. “I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney,” he wrote on Instagram, breaking the good news.

2. He was unexpectedly released from prison early. The rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was unexpectedly released from a Louisiana State Penitentiary back in March 2014, where he had been since 2009, after he was charged with third degree possession of Marijuana. Upon his release, a rep for for the penitentiary told the media that Boosie would be on parole until 2018.

3. He reportedly wrote more than 1000 songs while in prison. He may have been locked up, but that didn’t stop him from working on his music. After his release in March, he told reporters that he was planning on releasing a new album soon, as he wrote over 1,000 song while in prison. At the time, Boosie said he had listened to some of today’s rap music and believed the industry was “wide open” for him to jump back in and become one of today’s most relevant rap stars.

4. He made transphobic comments about Dwyane Wade’s daughter. The rapper came under fire for his comments about Dwyane Wade’s 12-year-old transgender daughter, Zaya. The “Nasty Nasty” rapper spoke out after the NBA star confirmed that Zaya identifies as female in February 2020. “Dwyane Wade, you’ve gone too f–king far, bro,” Boosie said in a heavily-criticized Instagram video.

5. He also caught heat for going on a homophobic rant in 2015. He came under the line of fire after going on an offensive homophobic tirade on Instagram in November 2015. In the lengthy rant, the rapper said that since being released from prison, he had been confronted with gay story lines whenever he turned on the TV (he mentioned Empire and Love & Hip-Hop specifically). His comments were deleted soon after.

Boosie Badazz Brother Dodges Jail Time For Stealing Money From Rapper

Boosie Badazz brother avoids jail time for allegedly stealing $300,000 from the rapper.

A couple months ago, the Baton Rouge rapper posted a video on social media venting about his family member who stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from him. Turns out he went ahead and filed charges against his brother, Taquari Hatch, for allegedly siphoning $361,000 from his account. TMZ reported that the district attorney has decided not to file charges despite cops busting him for stealing the money.

Taquari Hatch was arrested and charged with fraud and identity theft after he allegedly posed as Boosie and authorized several wire transfers. Boosie brother has maintained his innocence and now the D.A. is siding with him and not file any charges due to sufficient evidence.

Taquari posted a video responding to the allegations saying that he has his piece of mind because he is innocent. “So the last thing is like, we see how social media trials played out all the time,” he said. “But trolling, all trolls that don’t bother me all of that sh*t I see it all the time. There is no piece of mind like knowing that you’re innocent. You can’t buy that, can’t nobody hook you up with that, your influence can’t get that. Knowing that you’re innocent is piece of mind that is priceless, and that is what I got in this situation.”

He also added that he will need a little more time to fully clear his name.

I give niggas issues close range, disgusting
You ain’t hard to find and I ain’t hard to find either
Nigga couldn’t snatch me so they was tryin’ to snatch neither
Turn me to that Grim Reaper, steppin’ for all my people
Question me when they next to me, hopin’ they keep a secret
Heard he mad ’bout his people, mixed with heron he might be lethal
I’m a dirt dog yo’ b*tch a*s when I see you.

In this Phantom with fullies, there’s no license to carry ’em
Just some niggas like to pop you, burn yo’ body, and bury ’em
Couple coupes with no roof, we ain’t goin’ nowhere in ’em
But to pull up and shoot, besides this b*tch ain’t got air in it
I got some shells for you too, I have no problem sharin’ ’em
I’m just not forgivin’ or forgettin’ and I’m not sparin’ ’em
Clean the pen and the muzzle, I put this b*tch back together
I know .. jam, I’m in trouble, that’s a whole ‘nother level
Like I be hangin’ out the window, really really ..
I think they gon’ indict me and come get me
I do know that he died, instantly, hit him quickly
And when it’s time to ride I know just who rode in with me

[Intro: Lil Boosie]
When you ain’t loyal it come back to haunt you for real
Wish you was loyal now
Turn me up, turn me up
Wish you was loyal now

[Hook: Lil Boosie]
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Your girls, they told you, do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now
Your friends, they told you do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now

[Verse 1: Lil Boosie]
From the jump you was fucked up
From the jump you was fucked up, I was blind though
Man I never should of loved her
Man I never should of trust her, she was fine though
I’m gonna let ’em know it’s certain shit
Treat a nigga like a real nigga, treat his side ho
I had lil dough, he had big dough
Big dough’ll make an unloyal bitch though
Bitch had me hypnotized cause she fucked up
Bitch always gotta go, what the fuck for?
Always with her friends but they freaky
Sneaking and you’re geeking with your cheating ass
Year passed and you called, I ain’t home
Sitting on that check and you sitting broke at home
Head hurting cause your bill due on your phone
While I’m sitting on mils and I’m sitting on the throne

[Hook: Lil Boosie]
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Your girls, they told you, do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now
Your friends, they told you do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now

[Verse 2: Rich Homie Quan]
Thought you were running but you ain’t stand out till the end
Thought you would stay down but never down in the pen
This time you were broke, you couldn’t even afford a pen
I was down 15 months, that ain’t shit
I smoked 15 blunts, get lit
I fucked 15 hoes, get it in
Boosie Badazz, Rich Homie, we out of here again, again, again
Bitches ain’t shit, they ain’t loyal
They’ll fuck you and fuck your partner
Then they might act like they ain’t know about it
Try to play stupid
I’ll bust a nigga in the face like Cupid
I ain’t talking valentine nigga
Fuck the bitch, no valentine nigga
Swear to hell, Albert Einstein nigga
21 primetime nigga, baby don’t lie to me

[Hook: Lil Boosie]
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Your girls, they told you, do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now
Your friends, they told you do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now

[Verse 3: Lil Boosie]
Remember (?) in the park (?) mama
Getting fixed food by your mama
Now your mama looking at the BET awards
Like “that supposed to be my son in law”
Look like karma coming back to get you
Heard you got a nigga and he hit you
Heard you got a nigga and he broke though
And you ain’t got no job, you a broke ho
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
I ain’t know, back then I ain’t know though
I must have been tripping off the dodo
I thought we was Dorothy and Todo
Looking through the flicks and I ran ‘cross a photo
Me in my Levi’s you in the Polo
Back then you ain’t think it’d end up like this, huh?
Me in the G5, you on the bus though
She got the running out of lies like Johnny Test
Always got to leave when it’s time to stay
Shit ain’t the same when it’s time to leave
Even turn her nose up when I try to play
Back then I was lost tryna find a way
Hitting up a line tryna find my pay
When I need a ride or die she would ride away
Girl you know what I’m tryna say

[Hook: Lil Boosie]
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Your girls, they told you, do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now
Your friends, they told you do you
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
Now you wish you was loyal
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you weren’t loyal to me
Girl you weren’t loyal to me
No, you wish you was loyal now

[Outro]
Now, now, too late now
Now, now, you wish you was loyal now
Now, now, too late now
Now, now, you wish you was loyal now
