Who needs eighty tiny reindeer when you have four-wheel drive? BRELAND, the cross-over country star behind ‘My Truck,’ will be part of ‘CMA Country Christmas,’ so here’s what you need to know.

No need to worry if the weather outside is frightful during the 12th Annual CMA Country Christmas – so long as Santa Claus remembered to bring snow chains for BRELAND. The viral singer behind “My Truck” is taking part in the Nov. 29 special, airing on ABC at 8/7c. With first-time hosts and performers Gabby Barrett and Carly Pearce, BRELAND will do his best rendition of “The Christmas Song,” the holiday classic made famous by Mel Tormé. For BRELAND, his involvement with CMA Country Christmas continues his goal of becoming a “cross country” artist, one that melds different genres and sounds into a modern country vibe.

“I’m making the musical equivalent of chicken-and-rice dishes right now,” BRELAND told the Nashville Scene. “Country’s often used to making chicken and rice with one seasoning. Instead, I’m sampling the whole cabinet of flavors. Ears are like palates to me, and I’m serving familiar dishes in ways that people haven’t experienced before.” So, before BRELAND serves up a plateful of holiday cooking, here’s what you need to know.

1. BRELAND Is A Country Singer From The Garden State.

BRELAND (born Daniel Breland) didn’t grow up in Nebraska, Wyoming, or deep in the heart of Texas. He was raised in New Jersey, growing up in a family of gospel singers, according to The New York Times. He sang and arranged The Phantoms, an acapella group, while he studied at Georgetown. During his sophomore year, he was working in the Far Rockaway home of rapper Chinx. “He left and said, ‘I’m going to go do this show,’” said BRELAND. Except, Chinx never returned. He was murdered in Queens, and BRELAND took that as a sign.

“That let me know that hip-hop probably wasn’t going to be for me,” he said. “I don’t think that I’m really cut out to be in the trenches like that.”

2. He Is The Singer Behind The Song ‘My Truck.’

“I was aware of the fact that the biggest record of all time is a country-trap song by an unknown artist from Atlanta, and now no one else is putting out songs that sound like that,” BRELAND told The New York Times in May 2020, referring to “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X. “Wide open. Why on earth would I not give it a shot?”

After graduation, BRELAND moved to Atlanta and began writing. With the success of “Old Town Road,” BRELAND posted “My Truck” in early 2020. It blew up on TikTok (over 800k videos used the audio) and peaked at No. 28 on the Hot Country Songs chart while reaching No. 92 on The Hot 100. He released a self-titled EP in 2020 and followed it up with “Rage & Sorrow,” a two-track reflection on the murder of George Floyd.

In 2021, he put out the singles “Cross Country” (including a version with Mickey Guyton), “Strawberry Wine,” and “Throw It Back” (featuring Keith Urban.)

3. He Is Popular on TikTok.

“I didn’t have a TikTok [account] before I put [‘My Truck’] up,” BRELAND told Billboard in 2021. “I put the song out in September of 2019, and TikTok wasn’t what it is now, right? It was just literally a button that I clicked on the website I used to put the song on iTunes and the streaming platforms. I was like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’ve heard of TikTok, I’ll put it on there.’ So, when it started to blow up on TikTok, I was like, ‘Okay, I need to figure out how this works and what this even is.’”

As of November 2021, he has over 468k followers and 2.5 million likes on the clock app.

4. He Isn’t Worried About Being Called A One Hit Wonder.

BRELAND’s “Cross Country” is more than a song. “Initially, was more of a concept for a movement or a genre or a sub-genre of country music, even before it was a song,” he told Billboard. “I had this idea that it crossed countries. It’s my classification for all of the music that intersects, country and other genres like R&B, hip-hop, dance, whatever. So, ‘My Truck,’ theoretically, would be a cross country song.”

“I think that the advantage that I have is that I’m a songwriter first and foremost,” he says when asked if he’s worried that “My Truck” might pigeonhole him. “It’s not like I lucked up on ‘My Truck.’ It wasn’t an accident, you know. I’ve written with Florida Georgia Line, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Trey Songz, Keith Urban, and Sam Hunt and people across a lot of different genres and given them songs that they’re really excited about. I don’t see why it would be different writing stuff for myself.”

3. He Is Just Getting Started.

As someone who defies genre and keeps one foot in the country world and the other in hip-hop (he had two managers specifically for those purposes), BRELAND is not going to be limited. In fact, he’s already planning to take country to new territories and sounds. “I really want to give people some more music before we delve into a whole album, so we’ve got some singles mapped out,” he told Billboard. “A couple have features, potentially from some of the people that I’ve mentioned. We might have a country twerk song, we might have just a straight-up ballad, and we might have like a country ‘Uptown Funk’ type of song.”

A few days after attending a baseball game with dad Tom, Connor Cruise was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills.

Connor Cruise stepped out with a pal in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The 26-year-old son of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman was photographed as he made his way to a red Ferrari. He looked comfortable and casual in a blue long sleeve, dark denim, a baseball cap, and sunglasses.

The sighting comes after Connor made a rare public outing with his famous father, 59, last week. The father-son duo attended the San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game in San Francisco on October 9, immersing themselves in the game and even taking selfies with fans.

These days, the Top Gun star is rarely photographed with his children, making the appearance all the more surprising. Tom and Nicole adopted Connor in the 1990s, as well as daughter Isabella, 28. The Hollywood stars were previously married between 1990 and 2001. Like Tom, Connor and Isabella are Scientologists.

While Nicole has remained largely quiet about her children and former marriage, the Big Little Lies star made rare comments about Connor and Isabella during her interview with Australia’s Who magazine in November 2018, explaining that she would never “sever” her bond with her kids despite their affiliation with the controversial church.

“They are able to make their own decisions,” she told the magazine. “They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them. And I am an example of that tolerance, and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here.”

She added, “So that’s our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love.” Nicole has since remarried, wedding country singer Keith Urban in 2006. They share daughters Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 10, together. Following his split from Nicole, Tom wed actress Katie Holmes in 2006, divorcing six years later in 2012. They share daughter Suri, 15, together.

It’s unclear if Suri has any type of relationship with her half siblings, but Connor and Isabella appear to have a close sibling bond. Back in 2019, Connor shared a throwback photo with his sister on Instagram and said they were “day 1 homies.”

Between her two marriages, Nicole Kidman has four gorgeous children. Find out more about the son and daughter she adopted with Tom Cruise, and her two daughters with Keith Urban.

Nicole Kidman has certainly had an envious film career. The 54-year-old actress has starred in a number of movies, making her debut in her home country of Australia and later becoming an international success, when she made her debut in the U.S. in 1990’s Days of Thunder, which she starred in alongside her future husband Tom Cruise59, whom she was married to from 1990 until 2001. After divorcing Tom, she married country icon Keith Urban53, in 2006, and the two have been together ever since. During her first marriage, Nicole adopted a son and daughter with Tom, and she’s had two daughters with Keith Urban. Find out more about all four of her kids here!

Nicole adopted her eldest daughter Isabella, 28, with Tom, after they got married. She was born in December 1992, and the pair adopted her in Miami, Florida. Like her dad, Isabella is a scientologist, and her mom supports whatever decision she makes. Nicole told The Sun in a 2019 interview that her daughter’s religion was entirely up to her. “[Isabella and Connor] have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,” she said. “It’s not about anything else other than, ‘I’m here to love and support you.’” Isabella is also an artist, often sharing portraits (occasionally of celebrities and musicians) and other visual pieces that she creates to her Instagram.

Nicole and Tom’s adopted son Connor, 26, was born in January 1996. Nicole’s only boy is also from Florida. While connor keeps mostly private, he occasionally takes to Instagram to show off two of his biggest passions: barbecuing and fishing. He’s also definitely a pretty big hockey fan, as he went to the Stanley Cup finals in June 2021. Back in 2019, he also shared a pretty sweet throwback photo with his big sis, and it seems the two are still very close in their mid-20s.

After Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001, the Oscar-winning actress married Keith Urban in 2006. She gave birth to the pair’s older daughter Sunday, 13, in July 2008. The singer and actress both keep their kids relatively private, occasionally sharing glimpses of the little ones on social media, but usually from behind or in a silhouette. Nicole’s dad Antony Kidman revealed that the pair were inspired to choose the name “Sunday,” after the Art icon Sunday Reed in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, via Reuters. ““I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John. She was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century. The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it,” he said. In an October 2020 Instagram video post of the actress jumping on a trampoline, Nicole showed that Sunday had taken the photo and given her directions in the caption. “Taken right after Sunday gave me the fantastic director’s notes to ‘Jump higher mum’ and ‘look less scared,’” she captioned the post.

Nicole had her youngest girl Faith, 10, in 2010 via a surrogate. In 2017, she made the “intensely emotional” decision to introduce Faith to her surrogate via Women’s Day. Like her sister, Nicole and Keith have mostly kept Faith out of the spotlight, but she has made some public appearances, like when she showed up on screen with her sister for the 2021 Golden Globe awards in February, which saw stars attending virtually. Faith and Sunday may also follow their mama into the acting world, as the two appeared as extras on the set of her 2018 HBO miniseries The Undoing.

Australian actress Nicole Kidman has opened up about her kids, whom she shares with Keith Urban, revealing she always wanted a big family.

Nicole Kidman, 54, has revealed one of her biggest regrets: not having more children. The actress, who shares daughters Sunday, 13, and Faith, 10, with Keith Urban, and Connor Cruise and Isabella “Bella” Kidman Cruise with ex Tom Cruise, 58, said she actually “would’ve loved 10” kids. “I wish I’d had more children but I wasn’t given that choice,” she said in an interview with Marie Claire Australia magazine.

“But that’s OK. I get to mother other children. I have six nieces and nephews and I’m godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids and what they say,” she said of her family. “They’re quirky, funny, unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”

Earlier in the week, she offered fans some rare insight into the special bond she shares with her daughters. “I tell them, they’re global children. They travel the world. They have friends all over the world,” Nicole told The Project host Carrie Bickmore. “They complain that they have to move a lot as that is sort of their lifestyle, but we keep our family together and that’s the most important thing.” Nicole then added, “They’re fun girls, I look forward to what they’re going to do in the future.”

Nicole and Keith recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, and the lovebirds both took to their Instagram pages to give shout-outs to one another with PDA-filled photos. “Happy Anniversary baby!” Nicole exclaimed in the caption. “Two Aussies born in the same year but living in different worlds and cities. How did that happen? It was meant to be.”

As fans would know, she also shares two adopted children with her ex-husband Tom, however she is estranged from both Connor and Isabella. Her daughter wed British I.T. consultant Max Parker in 2015, and while Nicole didn’t attend the wedding, she met her son-in-law the following year. The Moulin Rouge spoke to The Sun back in 2019, saying, “[Isabella and Connor] have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love.” She continued, “It’s not about anything else other than, ‘I’m here to love and support you’.”

Nicole Kidman admitted her husband Keith Urban only sees her shows and movies once they’re all ‘edited together’ and revealed how he handles seeing her be intimate with someone else on-screen, in a new interview.

Nicole Kidman, 54, is not worrying about how her husband Keith Urban, 53, feels about her sex scenes in television shows and movies because he “understands” her work as an actress. The Australian beauty revealed that because the singer is “an artist,” he doesn’t “get involved” with what’s needed for a role, even if it does require her to be passionate with another actor on screen.

“My husband is an artist, so he understands all of it, and he also does not get involved,” Nicole told E! News’ Daily Pop in a video interview, which can be seen HERE. “He sees the show at the very end when it’s a show, all edited together, and he’s fresh eyes. He doesn’t read any script, he really doesn’t know what’s going on on the set, he’s got his own career that he’s completely absorbed in.”

She jokingly added, “He doesn’t know much about what I’m really doing.”

The photo seemed to take place around the holidays since they were wearing matching gingerbread man and candy cane pajamas. “Happy anniversary babygirl,” he captioned the post. “my life started when you said ‘I do’ 5475 days ago today.”

Nicole and Keith have proudly showed off their love in numerous posts over the years so it’s no surprise they would do so during their latest anniversary. When they’re not showcasing their lives as a couple, they’re doing so as a family with their two daughters, Sunday, 13, and Faith, 10.

Nicole Kidman’s anniversary tribute to husband Keith Urban will have you reaching for a glass of water.

My oh my. Nicole Kidman wished husband Keith Urban a happy 15th wedding anniversary with a seductive photo on June 24. The Academy Award winner, 54, shared an image taken by French photographer JR on her Instagram. In the photo, the actor’s head is tilted back while the country music singer, 53, gives her neck a lick. “Happy Anniversary baby!” Nicole captioned the post, complete with red lipstick emojis to mirror the bold lip she has in the photo, seen HERE.

On his own Instagram on June 25, Keith also paid homage to his wife on their anniversary with a candid photo of the two embracing. “Happy anniversary babygirl,” he captioned the post. “my life started when you said ‘I do’ 5475 days ago today.”

Nicole and Keith tied the knot in 2006 in their native Australia. The couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 12, and Faith Margaret, 10, together. The Big Little Lies actor also shares children Isabella Jane, 28, and Conor, 26, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

The Australian lovebirds first met at the 2005 G’Day USA Gala, an event that celebrates Australians’  public, economic, and cultural achievements in the states — and while Nicole was immediately drawn to Keith, he apparently did not reciprocate the feelings right away. “I remember thinking, I had such a crush on him, and he wasn’t interested in me,” Nicole revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2018. “It’s true! He didn’t call me for four months.”

While on an Australian talk show that same year, Keith explained he “wasn’t in a very healthy place” at the time. “Somebody had given me her number and I had it in my pocket for a while,” he said. “I kept looking at it thinking, ‘If I call this number, she’s going to answer. I don’t know what [to] say,’” later adding, “I’d never have thought she’d see anything in a guy like me. But at some point I plucked up the courage to call those numbers and she answered, and we started talking and we talked and talked and talked and talked and it was effortless.”

…And the next Taylor Swift album to get the ‘Taylor’s Version’ treatment is…none other than ‘Red!’ Here’s what we know about the latest re-recorded record from Ms. Swift.

“I’ve always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken,” wrote Taylor Swift on June 18, when announcing her 2012 album, Red, would be the next entry in the Taylor’s Version re-recording series. “It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly. The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability, and hopelessness. Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to your past. And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of Red.”

The next album that I’ll be releasing is my version of Red, which will be out on November 19. This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long🧣 https://t.co/FOBLS5aHpS pic.twitter.com/6zWa64Owgp

— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) June 18, 2021

Red (Taylor’s Version) continues Swift’s campaign of re-recording her first six albums — Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. This project began the moment that Scooter Braun’s media company, Ithaca Holdings, acquired her original recordings (“masters”) when purchasing Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group for a reported $300 million. Taylor blasted the transaction, accused Scooter of being a bully, and claimed that Scooter “has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

In 2020, Scooter sold Taylor’s album to Shamrock Holdings, a private equity firm, in 2020. Taylor released a statement in November 2020, claiming that her team “attempted to enter into negotiations with Scooter Braun” in hopes of purchasing her masters from him. She claimed he wanted her to sign an “ironclad NDA stating I would never say another word about Scooter Braun unless it was positive before we could even look at the financial records.” This killed the deal, and later in the year, Shamrock Holdings contacted Taylor to inform her about the sale. Under the new deal, Scooter will continue to profit off her old musical catalog. “I was hopeful to the possibility of a partnership with Shamrock, but Scooter’s participation is a non-starter for me.”

Taylor’s statement also confirmed what many suspected: that she was indeed re-recording her old music. So now, as the world prepares for Red (Taylor’s Version), here’s what you need to know.

When Will ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ Be Released?
Taylor Swift at the 40 Principales Awards in Madrid, Spain, in 2013 (Shutterstock)

“Red (Taylor’s Version) will be out November 19,” Taylor wrote at the end of her message. She also included a link to the pre-sale page, which featured the new cover art. Initially, only two digital versions of Red (Taylor Version) were available – the “explicit” version and the “clean” version. The fact there’s an “explicit” version of this album shocked some fans, as it indicated she intended to use adult language nearly a decade before she dropped some f-bombs on folklore.

There will likely be a physical release. Fearless (Taylor’s Version), the first in the  was released on CD. Whether or not it arrives on vinyl remains to be seen. At the start of June 2021, Taylor’s evermore shattered the U.S. record for largest vinyl album sales in a single week, per Billboard. It sold more than 40,000 copies, just three days after its (physical) May 28 release.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was also Taylor’s ninth consecutive album to debut at the top of the Billboard 200. It was also the first re-recorded album to go No. 1, and it was the biggest sales week of 2021 so far (with 291,000 equivalent album units sold.) So it’s safe to say that Red will likely break that record.

As to why Taylor announced Red (Taylor’s Version) when there were only digital versions available for presale – with no CDs, Vinyl, or limited edition merch for Swifties to purchase en masse – one fan pointed out that June 18 happens to be Scooter Braun’s birthday.

What Songs Are Going To Be On ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’?

“Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing. This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long.”

Yes, there will be 30 songs on Red (Taylor’s Version). This should be no surprise considering the standard edition of Fearless (Taylor’s Edition) had 26 tracks, which was literally twice the number of songs on the original 2008 album.

There were sixteen songs on the standard version of 2012’s Red, including “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “All Too Well,” “22,” “Everything Has Changed,” “Begin Again,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and the title track. The deluxe edition of Red contained three extra original songs – “The Moment I knew,” “Come Back…Be Here,” and “Girl At Home” – as well as three alternate versions of “Treacherous,” “Red,” and “State of Grace.” The longest of these songs is “All Too Well,” at 5:29. Taylor says her version of Red will contain a song that’s twice that length.

What’s ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ Going To Sound Like?
Taylor Swift poses for a portrait in 2012 (Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock)

“Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person,” Taylor wrote in her June 18 post. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.”

Red was an album that saw Taylor explore a new musical identity, to “push her music outside of its traditional boundaries, to stray into the interzone between pop and country,” according to Pitchfork’s 2019 review of the album. The album’s many facets (“all over the place,” as Taylor described it) saw her dive further into pop with help from many producers, including Nathan Chapman, Jeff Bhasker. Red was also the first time that Taylor worked with Max Martin, the songwriting maestro who worked with her again on 1989 and Reputation.

Who Will Feature ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’?
Taylor Swift at the 2021 BRIT Awards (Richard Young/Shutterstock)

The 2012 edition of Red features Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol (“The Last Time”) and Ed Sheeran (“Everything Has Changed.”). It’s safe to say they will be back for this new version.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) featured some new collaborations: “You All Over Me,” with Maren Morris, and “That’s When,” with Keith Urban. Considering the sheer volume of tracks on Red (Taylor’s Version) and how Swift has promised some surprises, it’s likely that there will be some special guests on a few of the new tracks.

—–

With Red (Taylor’s Version), Taylor has completed a third of her reclamation project. It will also mark the fourth album she released in the span of nineteen months (folklore, evermore, and Fearless (Taylor’s Version)). When Taylor returns to touring, she will have plenty of songs for fans to “sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity,” and you better believe there will be millions ready to raise their voices to sing along.

Husband Cade Foehner joined ACM winner Gabby Barrett onstage at the 2021 show as she sang her heart out to ‘The Good Ones’ in skinny jeans and a metallic blouse.

Gabby Barrett made her triumphant return to the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 18 looking like a million bucks. The American Idol alum, 21, brought the house down with her soulful rendition of her hit, “The Good Ones,” with husband Cade Foehner right by her side. Or rather, behind her, playing guitar and looking on adoringly. Gabby looked angelic in a white cowboy hat covering her blonde curls, and donned a shimmery white blouse for the performance. The singer, who just gave birth to her first child three months ago, also rocked a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans onstage.

Gabby opted for another casual-yet-cool look for the red carpet earlier in the night. The singer donned high-waisted skinny jeans and a sheer, floral blouse. The metallic silver blouse, layered over a black tank top, featured balloon sleeves and a mock turtleneck. Huge gold earrings completed her look. Gabby’s hair and makeup were perfection. She parted her long, blonde locks to the side and went with glossy nude lips and a cat eye.

She had the ultimate accessory on her arm while walking down the red carpet, too: Cade! The couple, who just welcomed baby Baylah May Foehner in January, cuddled up as they made their way into the Nashville arena for a night to remember. Cade looked dashing as always in jeans, a brown suede jacket, giant cowboy hat, and ascot. Those famous curls were looking exceptionally shiny for mom and dad’s night out.

Gabby went into the 2021 ACM Awards already a winner. The “I Hope” singer was named the ACM New Female Artist of the Year prior to the show! Cade honored his “dear wife” with a sweet social media post after her big win was announced. Cade actually knew that Gabby was going to be surprised with the award by host Keith Urban himself, and filmed her reaction.

“What y’all don’t see is her up all night the previous night with Baylah because she couldn’t sleep,” Cade wrote on Instagram. “What y’all don’t see, is right after this video she went to feed and put down our baby because I guarantee you that little one is always on her mind. What you don’t see is the way she makes this home and world of ours go round. You deserve all this and a whole lot more, dear Wife. Congratulations! We love our Mama!”

Carrie Underwood was an absolute vision when she showed up to perform at the ACM Awards in a sparkling dress.

The Academy Of Country Music Awards just heated up thanks to Carrie Underwood! The gorgeous country star skipped the red carpet at the event, but showed up for her performance looking absolutely ethereal. She wore a cream-colored gown that had sparkling embellishments throughout, which made her look completely angelic.

Two powerhouses, @carrieunderwood & @cecewinans just blessed us all with an unbelievable gospel medley performance from the @opry. Watch the rest of the #ACMawards now on @CBS or @paramountplus! ✨ pic.twitter.com/RFWn0rQWoG

During the show, Carrie took the stage to perform a medley of songs from her gospel album, My Savior. She was be joined by the legendary CeCe Winans for her set. Carrie wore her long, blonde hair in loose curls that were parted down the center, and she rocked gold eye shadow to glitter along with her dress. As always, she sounded incredible as she belted out her inspiring and powerful songs onstage.

In addition to performing, Carrie was also nominated for Music Video of the Year at the ACMs for her song “Hallelujah” with John Legend. Unfortunately, she lost out to Kane Brown, but she’s definitely no stranger to winning ACM Awards. Through the years, Carrie has won 15 ACM Awards, including, most recently, Entertainer of the Year at the show in 2020. Carrie and Thomas Rhett actually made history at the show by tying for the award, which was the top honor of the night.

While the ACM Awards usually take place in Las Vegas, things looked a bit different at the show in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, the awards ceremony was in Nashville, with the artists performing and presenting from various locations across the city. While nothing compares to having all of the genre’s biggest artists in one room, this was certainly a great way to still entertain fans across the country with an evening jam-packed of country music performances!

Mickey Guyton and Keith Urban hosted the ACM Awards. Other performances included sets from Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris with Ryan Hurd, Thomas Rhett, Chris Young with Kane Brown and many more. As always, it was an amazing night.

Mickey Guyton looked absolutely FLAWLESS in multiple glamorous outfits while pulling double duty as host and performer at the 2021 ACM Awards.

Mickey Guyton made her grand entrance at the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards as an absolute superstar. The “Black Like Me” singer, 37, walked onstage looking like a straight up diva as she kicked off the show with co-host Keith Urban. Mickey rocked a white, feathered robe that gave off major ’70s Diana Ross vibes. The one-shouldered gown featured feathers on the hem and arm. She paired the showstopper with white ankle boots and styled her hair into a half-up ponytail and bangs.

Later, Mickey changed in a blue goddess-esque gown to perform a soulful rendition of her hit, “Hold On.” The flowing gown, made of sheer, sapphire blue fabric, also featured a dramatic cape that flew up behind her whenever she lifted up her arms. Mickey’s highly anticipated performance came straight from the Grand Ole Opry. Backed by a choir and bathed in light, she looked like an absolute angel.

Mickey slayed on the red carpet, too, by the way. The  rocked an intricately beaded gown in a soft beige hue. Her Naeem Khan dress was covered in tiny crystals and clear beads making a leaf-like pattern all over the delicate, sheer fabric. The faux-wrap dress featured long sleeves and a high slit in the front, revealing her legs and a pair of fabulous gold high heels from Stuart Weitzman.

It’s not overkill to say it was one of the sexiest ACM Awards dresses. She channeled old Hollywood with her classic hair and makeup game. Mickey rocked nude nail polish and a shiny nude lip color, along with a dramatic smokey eye. She went with a deep side part and waves in her waist-length hair, and accessorized with wing-shaped Pasquale Bruni earrings and a diamond ring.

Prior to the show, Mickey and Keith spoke to CBS News about their hopes for an epic ACM Awards, despite the circumstances. Like all awards shows in 2021, things looked a lot different, including a pared-down red carpet, a smaller live audience, and some pre-recorded performances. “You know, I wanted to do the praise dance and the hallelujahs and all of that. I still can’t believe it,” Mickey said about being asked to host the show.

This is a night of firsts for Mickey — and for the ACM Awards. The “Heaven Down Here” singer was nominated for New Female Artist of the Year. (Prior to the show, it was announced that Gabby Barrett took home the honor). She’s the first Black female host of the ACMs, and the second Black host of any gender in its 56-year history. Mickey previously made history as the first Black female solo artist to be nominated for a Grammy in a country category.

Cade filmed his wife opening a surprise video message from Keith, which he posted to Instagram on Thursday. “Gabby Barrett, it’s Keith Urban here with some mortifying news,” the country crooner teased. Of course, the news was far from mortifying as he went on to add, “I’m here to tell you that you are the winner of the ACM New Female Artist of the Year.” Amid Gabby’s happy cheers, Keith added, “Congratulations, Gabby! And you get to plan the ACMs as well!”
“Now I know why you told me to put on my makeup and get dressed,” Gabby told Cade, who laughed. After posting the sweet surprise on Instagram, Gabby’s husband wrote a special message for his wife, who just delivered their first child (a daughter named Baylah May Foehner) on Jan. 18, 2021.
“What y’all don’t see is her up all night the previous night with Baylah because she couldn’t sleep. What y’all don’t see, is right after this video she went to feed and put down our baby because I guarantee you that little one is always on her mind. What you don’t see is the way she makes this home and world of ours go round. You deserve all this and a whole lot more, dear Wife. Congratulations! We love our Mama!,” Cade gushed in his Instagram shout-out.

Keith Urban reportedly got into an argument with a fellow opera lover when the man ‘swatted’ his wife Nicole Kidman with his program after watching a performance of ‘Merry Widow.’

Keith Urban, 53, stepped in to protect his wife Nicole Kidman, 53, immediately after a man allegedly made an unwelcomed move on her at Sydney Opera House last month. The singer first exchanged words with the man, who was sitting behind him and the actress, after he got annoyed at them for standing up to clap at the end of a performance of Merry Widow, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Although Keith apparently explained that he and Nicole were giving the show a standing ovation to show their appreciation, the man went on to “swat” Nicole with his program, the outlet further reported.

The action reportedly made Keith accuse the man of assaulting the Cold Mountain star and he quickly summoned his security to escort him, Nicole, and Nicole’s mother, Janelle, who was also with them, out of the Opera House. Opera House security then went on to escort the man out, the outlet said.

The effects of the incident didn’t end there either. Nicole was reportedly visibly upset by the situation and someone ended up calling the police on the man. Sydney City Police Area Command were called to the Opera House that night after complaints about an argument, police media confirmed to The Sydney Morning Herald.

“Police have been told a 53-year-old man and a 67-year-old man were both attending the entertainment centre when an argument broke out. Officers spoke to both men and no further action was taken,” NSW Police reportedly told The Sydney Morning Herald.

Once the drama calmed down, Opera Australia boss Lyndon Terracini took both Nicole and Keith to the back of the house and through a safe stage door so they could pose with the show’s star Virgilio Marino. The two looked relaxed while posing with face masks in a photograph that Lyndon shared.

Although standing up at the opera used to be considered rude years ago, times have since changed and it’s now considered less taboo. Nicole and Keith attended the opera after the former completed her mandatory quarantine when she got back to the “Land Down Under” from Ireland, where she was filming Robert Eggers‘ project with Ethan Hawke and Alexander Skarsgard.

HollywoodLife has reached out to both Keith and Nicole’s reps about this story but we have yet to receive a response.

Connor Cruise took to Instagram to share an eye-catching photo of himself sporting a beard and sunglasses while holding up a huge fish on a boat in Costa Rica.

Connor Cruise, 26, wowed Instagram followers on Jan. 29 when he showed off a large fish he seemed to have caught while on a boat in Costa Rica. The son of Tom Cruise, 58, and Nicole Kidman, 53, looked unrecognizable with a full beard in the impressive pic and was smiling while holding up the aquatic animal. He had on a long-sleeved white top and tan shorts and a pair of sunglasses that covered his eyes from the sun.

“Yellowfin were chewing today #200# @hook360 @lossuenosresort,” Connor captioned the snapshot before it was met with a lot of responses. “EPIC!! Have a great trip & looks like those freezers will be stocked up! #gethooked,” one follower wrote while another exclaimed, “Amazing!!! That’s it I’m coming down there so you can teach me how to catch these!!! 😂😂 seriously, nice catch!!”

Connor’s latest photo comes as a bit of a surprise considering he doesn’t often post photos of himself. The private hunk was adopted by Tom and Nicole, who were married from 1990 until 2001, in 1995 and joined their adopted daughter Isabella, who is now 28. Isabella’s also low-key with her life and doesn’t often post photos.

Connor’s fish pic isn’t the first time he’s shared a boating-themed post though. In Aug., he showed off a pic of his legs crossed while relaxing on a boat in Florida. The photo came after he took a three-month hiatus from social media and followed Isabella’s own return to the platform. The beauty posted a rare mirror selfie just a few days before her brother’s post.

Connor and Isabella have both made headlines for following the Church of Scientology, like their dad, despite their mom not agreeing with the beliefs. The differences reportedly caused a rift between the actress and her two kids, but in Sept. 2019, she told The Sun that she was still giving them “unconditional love.”

“[Isabella and Connor] have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,” she said in the interview. “It’s not about anything else other than, ‘I’m here to love and support you’.”

“Motherhood is about the journey,” Nicole, who married Keith Urban, 53, with whom she has two daughters, in 2006, continued. “There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love. Parenting is about learning who they are, not making them what you want them to be — letting them find their way then supporting them. It’s rigorous. You’re constantly looking at yourself, so you’re not placing these expectations on a child.”

Nicole Kidman, 53, shared a tender moment with her daughter Sunday, 12, on Oct. 9 and posted a video to give her fans a sneak peek. The actress was happily jumping high on an outdoor trampoline while wearing a long-sleeved black top, matching black pants, and white sneakers in the boomerang clip and revealed that her mini-me was the one encouraging her behind the camera, in the caption. “Taken right after Sunday gave me the fantastic director’s notes to ‘Jump higher mum’ and ‘look less scared’ 😂💕,” the caption read.

Once Nicole shared the eye-catching video, her fans quickly responded with comments about the mother-daughter moment. “Looking gorgeous,” one fan wrote while another said, “So cool Nicole. Sunday will make a great director.” A third gushed, “😆 You are always right on par with everyone. Keep on being your best self, Nicole 💕 We all adore you.”

Before her latest video post, Nicole hinted that her daughter Sunday and younger daughter Faith, 9, may be following in her footsteps in the film industry when they both showed up on set to work as extras in her HBO miniseries, The Undoing in Mar. 2019. They were both as cute as could be in the rare sighting and wore jackets over school uniforms while walking around with their Australian mom and filming a scene outside of a school brickhouse. Before that, they also appeared as extras in Nicole’s other HBO series, Big Little Lies.

When Nicole isn’t sharing details about her daughters, she’s proudly showing support for their father and her husband, Keith Urban, 52. On Sept. 18, she posted a PDA-filled snapshot of the two of them to celebrate the release of his new album The Speed of Now Part 1, which happened that day. The musician had his eyes closed as the curly-haired beauty smiled and kissed his cheek as they both stood in front of a beautiful blue sky in the photo. “Listening to Keith’s new album feels a little something like this ❤️️ You can listen to #TheSpeedOfNow Part 1 from @KeithUrban at the link in my bio xx,” Nicole captioned the post.

It’s always fantastic to see snippets of Nicole’s life with her family! We hope to see more soon!

What if I cry?
And if I get scared?
I’ll hold you tighter
When they’re tryna get to you baby I’ll be the fighterrr.
