When it comes to hip-hop, these are the kings and queens who wear the crown. Check out the last two decades’ worth of Best Rap Album winners, from Naughty By Nature to Tyler, The Creator to Cardi B.

Hip-hop reigns supreme. The genre — which continues to dominate the culture and the charts, per Billboard – will get its accolades at the upcoming Grammy Awards. Though the Recording Academy has had a complicated history regarding hip-hop, the award show will spotlight a handful of performers when it hands out the Best Rap Album award.

The Grammys announced in 1995 that they were creating the Best Rap Album category, six years after The Recording Academy created the Best Rap Performance Grammy. Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff won the inaugural Best Rap Performance Grammy in 1989 for “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” but they led a boycott of the ceremony after the Grammys said they wouldn’t air the Best Rap Performance category over broadcast time constraints. “We don’t have the problem with the Grammy as an award or the Grammys as an institution. We just had a problem with the 1989 design of the awards show,” Will said in a 1989 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “We chose to boycott. We feel that it’s a slap in the face.”

In 1996, at the 38th Grammy Awards, Naughty By Nature won the first Best Rap Album award for Poverty’s Paradise. The album beat out Skee-Lo’s I Wish, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s E.1999 Eternal, and 2Pac’s Me Against the World. The following year, Lauryn Hill became the first female artist to win in the category when she, as part of Fugees, won Best Rap Album for The Score. That year, A Tribe Called Quest (Beats, Rhymes and Life), 2Pac (All Eyez On Me), LL Cool J (Mr. Smith), and Coolio (Gangsta’s Paradise) were all nominated.

Ahead of the 2022 ceremony, Eminem reigns with the most wins (6) in the category. Kanye West (4) is close behind. Only Outkast and Kendrick Lamar have won Best Rap Album more than once. The Roots have the most nominations without a win (five), while Jay-Z has the record for most nominations overall, with eleven. Cardi has the distinction of being the first solo female rapper to win Best Rap Album. She claimed the crown in 2019 with Invasion of Privacy.

This Year’s Nominees

That multi-Best Rap Album winners club could get a new member following the 64th Grammy Awards. Nas’s King’s Disease II is nominated, as is Tyler, The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost. Both performers have won in the past. J. Cole could win his first Best Rap Album Grammy with The Off-Season. Kanye West’s Donda is also nominated. Drake’s Certified Lover Boy was also nominated, but he withdrew all his nominations in December 2021. He has yet to explain why, but judging by his past comments about the Grammys, it’s not hard to guess the reason behind this move.

Macklemore even apologized to Kendrick via a text (“You got robbed. I wanted you to win. It’s weird, and it sucks that I robbed you”), which Drake called out for being “wack as f-ck.”

“This is how the world works: He made a brand of music that appealed to more people than me, Hov, Kanye, and Kendrick,” Drake said, per Rolling Stone. “Whether people wanna say it’s racial, or whether it’s just the fact that he tapped into something we can’t tap into. Is this the return of the Queen? Nicki Minaj teams up Lil Baby to ask ‘Do We Have A Problem’ in a sizzling, action-packed music video.

After an uncharacteristic silence from Nicki Minaj, the prolific rapper returned to the music scene on “Pink Friday” (Feb. 4), kicking off what many Barbz hope will be the start of her comeback. Nicki, 39, teamed with Lil Baby for “Do We Have A Problem?”, a new single and 9-minute music video that featured a dramatic opener where Nicki was set up as an undercover agent trying to dig up dirt on a mob outfit.

During an auction where she’s been prompted to catch Lil Baby (aka “The Black Death) and the men he’s working with, Nicki flips on the police (of course in a stylishly sexy outfit and chic blonde bob) and runs off with the rapper to Cuba. What happens next? You’ll have to watch the epic video premiere to see for yourself!

Nicki Minaj had an unusually quiet 2021 – music-wise, at least. The “Chun-Li” rapper appeared on a remix of Bia’s “Whole Lotta Money” and “Boyz,” the debut solo single from Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson. In terms of “new” Nicki music, the closest that the Barbz got to was the re-issue of her 2009 mixtake, Beam Me Up Scotty, which featured three new songs, including “Seeing Green,” a collab with Drake and Lil Wayne.

— Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) January 31, 2022

That output is even more stark when compared to what she did in 2020. That year, Nicki managed to go No. 1 with 6ix9ine (“Trollz”), team with YoungBoy Never Broke Again for Mike Will Made It’s second song (“What That Speed Bout!?”), and lend her verses to songs by Megan Trainor (“Nice To Meet Ya”), Doja Cat (“Say So (Remix)”), ASAP Ferg (“Move Ya Hips”), Ty Dolla Sign (“Expensive”), and Sada Baby (“Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix)”). She also did most of that while pregnant with her and Kenneth Petty’s first child, Papa Bear. It remains to be seen if this new collab with Lil Baby signals that the highly-anticipated follow-up to Nick’s 2018 album, Queen, will arrive this year.

‘Dawn FM’ has arrived, and The Weeknd’s new album featured a surprising cameo from Jim Carrey.

2022 has gotten off to a great and strange start. Two years after The Weeknd helped many endure the strain of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the singer (b. Abel Tesfaye) has returned with the highly-anticipated follow-up, Dawn FM. Helping him usher in this new era was a handful of collaborators, which included Jim Carrey. Yes, the man behind The Mask, Man on the Moon, and Bruce Almighty was a part of The Weeknd’s new album in a way that none expected. The actor basically plays a soft-rock radio host in the form of a DJ, and he helps lead listeners through the entire album. It’s pretty amazing and fans are loving it.

Jim Carrey is “so clutch”, one Twitter user wrote, while another said, “God bless Jim Carrey”.

The Weeknd really got Jim Carrey to narrate on his album 😭

— Zuzu (@Zuko__28) January 7, 2022

This appearance by the former In Living Color funnyman wasn’t a complete surprise. “I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel last night,” Jim tweeted on Jan. 3, shortly after The Weeknd announced his new album, along with the list of contributors. Jim said that the new project was “deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony.” The Weeknd saw Jim’s comment and responded to the kindness with love of his own. “Thank you for being a part of this,” wrote Abel. “It’s kismet. Full circle.”

— Jim Carrey (@JimCarrey) January 3, 2022

The Weeknd spoke about his friendship with Jim Carrey in an August 2021 feature in GQ. As Abel was celebrating his 30th birthday, he and Jim met for the first time. “We’d been texting prior to that. And then, on my 30th birthday, he surprised me. He just pulled up to my crib and took me to breakfast,” the singer told GQ. “He lived literally like two buildings down from me. He had a telescope, and I had a telescope. He was like, ‘Where do you live? What floor do you live on?’ I was like, Blah, blah, blah. And we looked out the windows on our telescopes and we could see each other. That was like the beginning of my 30s. It was just like, What is going on?”

The Weeknd also touched upon this telescopic friendship in an April 2020 interview with Variety. “I texted him the address of my condo in L.A., and he said, ‘I can literally see your place from my balcony,’ and we got out telescopes and were waving to each other,” he said. “Jim Carrey was my first inspiration to be any kind of performer, and I went to breakfast with him on my first day of being 30.”

While the other collaborators on Dawn FM seem more conventional – Quincy Jones, Omeohtrix Point Never, Lil Wayne, and Tyler, The Creator are all on the album – Jim stands out at first glance. However, those familiar with his career know that Jim is capable of carrying a tune. He famously covered “Cuban Pete” for 1994’s The Mask, and Jefferson Airplane’s “Somebody To Love” for 1996’s The Cable Guy. But, before then, Jim’s musical talents shone during his time on In Living Color (1990-1994).

Jim also covered The Beatles’ “I Am The Walrus” for In My Life, an album compiled and produced by The Beatles’ longtime producer, George Martin. In My Life also had Goldie Hawn perform “A Hard Day’s Night,” Robin Williams sing “Come Together” with Bobby McFerrin, and Sean Connery deliver a version of “In My Life.”

The new era of The Weeknd is here, and it has the ‘Take My Breath’ singer looking…old. The Weeknd shared the first look at his ‘Dawn FM’ album, and he looked like a withered old man on the album art.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so The Weeknd didn’t say much on Tuesday (Jan. 4) when he unveiled the artwork for his new album, Dawn FM. “Album cover,” the singer, born Abel Tesfaye, captioned the social media posts that featured the art. In it, the 31-year-old singer was transformed into an old man. His distinctive hair was white and gray. His beard was a scruffy mess. The skin on his face was marred with wrinkles, livers spots, and sunken eyes that had seen many long nights. A sliver of light illuminated the back of his neck, indicating the titular dawn was coming.

A post shared by The Weeknd (@theweeknd)

Fans responded to the reveal with a mixed reaction. There were the expected enthusiastic comments – “I AM NOT READY,” “READY FOR THE DAWN FM,” “DAWN IS COMING” – but some weren’t feeling the artwork. “Sir?” “This sh!t better be good if this is the album cover.” “Is this supposed to show us how much we waited for Dawn FM?” The last comment is odd since DAWN FM will arrive on Jan. 7, 2022, less than two years since The Weeknd’s previous album, After Hours.

While the narrative around this album shifted following After Hours’ now-infamous Grammy snub, the album was the soundtrack to 2020. “Blinding Lights” became the song with the most weeks spent in the top 5, top 10, top 20, top 40, and top 100 of the Billboard Hot 100, ultimately resulting in the publication dubbing it The #1 Greatest Hot 100 Hit of All Time.

The Weeknd did spend most of 2021 hyping up this new release. In May 2021, he told Variety, “if the last record is the After Hours of the night, then The Dawn is coming.” Over the following seven months, Abel would drop references and hints to the album. At the start of 2022, The Weeknd shared a screenshot of a conversation between him and La Mar Taylor, the co-founder of XO records. “What we thinking?” asked La Mar. “Happy New Year! Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal, and that feels more important than another album rollout,” responded The Weeknd. “Let’s just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people.”

Dawn FM will feature appearances from Tyler, the Creator, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, Lil Wayne, and The Weeknd’s new BFF, Jim Carrey. For those who aren’t feeling the official cover, Stereogum pointed out that The Weeknd’s official online shop is currently listing two alternative Dawn FM covers, billed as Collector’s 01 and Collector’s 02 editions. This artwork is from Robert Beatty and is available on CD, vinyl, and cassette format.

Drake’s son Adonis was a ball of energy as he playfully crawled all over his dad alongside another kid as they rocked Christmas PJs!

Drake, 35, has his hands full with son Adonis! The adorable 4-year-old hilariously had his dad trapped as he and a friend crawled all over the Scorpion rapper in a black-and-white video posted to Instagram on Christmas Day. The rare clip of the toddler was posted by doting dad Drake — née Aubrey Graham — who shed his usual serious image for the sweet family moment.

“Oh my god,” the Toronto born rapper can be heard mumbling as he gives the camera a struggling look, rocking a white t-shirt under a Nike branded jersey. The other child can he heard saying, “Adonis, you are so mean!” through laughs as the children continued wrestling each other while sitting on Drake’s back. “I gotta get out of of this! I gotta get outta this!” Drake then declared, as he demonstrated his strength by standing up with the two pajama clad kids on his back, growling.

Adonis, looking festive in his star printed sleepwear, then took a small tumble down on the bed as he rolled off his dad. “Oh my god!” Drake added as he caught the 4-year-old whom he shares with Sophie Brussaux, both laughing hysterically throughout the ordeal. Merry Christmas From The Gang,” he captioned the rare post, adding crossed fingers and a sparkling heart emoji. Notably, the Degrassi alum was also raised celebrating Hanukkah via his Jewish mother Sandy Graham.

Several of Drake’s buddies got in on the comments, showing the star plenty of love. “Merry Christmas To The Whole Fam Bro,” Kid The Wiz wrote, while Chance The Rapper, Tiesto and producer boi1da just left simple heart emojis. “Gotta run from those 2,” Preme penned.

While the Euphoria producer rarely gives interviews, he did open up about fatherhood in an interview with friend Lil Wayne on Apple Music’s Young Money Radio last year. “[Fatherhood is] great for me,” Drake said in May 2020, going on to talk about confirming the news of his son on his 2018 album. “It was great to just share that with the world. I just woke up one morning and I was like, you know what? This is just something that I want to do…I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son. I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a celebrity that I got to make everybody live under this blanket,” Drake also said.

Actress Lauren London is the proud mama of two adorable sons, Kameron and Kross. Here’s everything to know about the ‘ATL’ star’s children!

Lauren Nicole London, 36, is the mother of two beautiful boys, Kameron Carter, 12, and Kross Asghedom, 5, whom she welcomed to the world with rapper Lil Wayne and the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, née Ermias Joseph Asghedom (Nipsey also has a daughter, Emani Asghedom, now under the custody of his sister). The music video star, model, and actress likes to keep things pretty low-key with her family, only posting about her boys to her social media on occasion, but when she does, fans can’t get enough of their sweet faces — and how much they resemble their dads!

Read more below about Lauren’s charming brood and see pictures of them below!

Kameron, born on September 9, 2009, is Lauren’s eldest son she shares with Lil Wayne. Although the actress doesn’t speak often about her former on-again-off-again relationship with the rapper, she did dish to Skin Deep author Kathleen Cross about how she and Lil Wayne met when she was 15 and had deep roots together. “We were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways,” Lauren revealed, per Essence. “My son’s father is an intelligent, loving, and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. That is all.”

Lauren added that she and the other women with whom Lil Wayne shares children have managed to stay friendly, opting for peace over drama. “We are all good-hearted women who love our children and we want them to know each other,” she shared. “Real friendships have grown from that foundation, and the result has been more love, less drama, and less trauma for our kids.”

Having “less trauma” for her kids is definitely front-of-mind for Lauren as it relates to her son Kameron, considering how the 12-year-old is nearing his adolescence. On a 2020 episode of Red Table Talk, host Jada Pinkett Smith asked the mother-of-two about “raising two Black boys,” wondering what some of her “precautions” might be, considering the ongoing state of the world as it struggles with racial discrimination and police brutality. “What I instill in them is more about the police. How to handle yourself when you get pulled over,” Lauren said on the program. “That’s more of my education, protecting them being Black men in America.”

Kross is Lauren’s son she shares with the late Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed on March 31, 2019 at age 33 in front of his Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles, California. Kross was born on August 31, 2016, and Lauren continues to post adorable photos of the youngster — who so perfectly resembles his mother and father — to her Instagram account.

“Kross The Boss! 🏁” Lauren captioned a post of the 5-year-old on his birthday in August. The mom also called her son her “lighthouse” and “strength,” signing off the caption by calling him “BabyHussle.”

Although Lauren continues to grieve her late love, she still looks forward to caring for both Kross and Kameron in the best way she can, leading her boys toward a purposeful, optimistic life.

“We can’t stop, you know? We do have a purpose, all of us, and it’s important for my sons to see me moving forward with grief, not just curling up in a ball, because I curled up in a ball for a long time,” Lauren told Entertainment Tonight in April. “But especially for my eldest son because he’s just a little more aware […] but we will continue moving on as we had to, as he would want us to.”

She went on to post another video of the boxes opened and they all included high fashion clothing and shoes for her little one. “This is so dope. Wow,” she could be heard saying. “Thank you so so much. This stuff is amazing and beautiful. I love you so much.”

In addition to Wayne’s gifts, Nicki shared pics and clips of what appeared to be her son’s eventful birthday party. The fun day included a Kung Fu Panda theme with several cakes, cupcakes, outdoor balloons, and a photo booth where many of the guests and their kids posed for joyous pics. Nicki, the birthday boy, and his dad Kenneth Petty, 43, also posed for a cute pic together.

She capped her birthday posts off with some cute videos that showed her son, whom she refers to as “Papa Bear,” riding around in a white toy truck that he got for his special day. The proud mom mentioned that it was a gift from his uncle and thanked him and told him they loved him while filming.

Drake’s latest pic of Adonis, whom he shares with French model Sophie Brussaux, comes after he made headlines for rapping about his life as a father in his new song “You Only Live Twice.” One of the lines in the track, which also features Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, is, “I had to f**k a lot of girls to get a kid like this,” and even though he doesn’t mention his son by name, it’s presumed he’s talking about Adonis since it’s his only child.

Although Drake kept Adonis’ birth private for a while, he’s been all about sharing some of the sweetest moments with the tot since he went public with the news of being a dad. From posting other adorable pics and videos to bringing him on stage at the Billboard Music Awards, it’s clear to see he’s loving his new role in life.

Justin Bieber has a simple message for you – and he’s reunited with Skrillex and recruited Don Toliver to deliver it!

Take the man synonymous with American dubstep, add one of the biggest pop stars of a generation, and a rising star in the hip-hop world, and what do you get? You get the new collab that dropped on Friday (Aug. 20), when Skrillex, Justin Bieber, and Don Toliver teamed up for ‘Don’t Go.” Not only did they drop a new song, but they released a video and it’s pretty amazing. Watch it above.

Fans first got the sense something was going down between Justin and Skrillex in October 2020, when Bieber shared a photo of him in a room with a large group of collaborators, including Skrillex, Jon Bellion, Maejor, Ant Clemons and Justin’s frequent songwriter, Poo Bear (h/t Billboard.) “None of us asked to be born. Life is a pure gift.. i am grateful that everyone in this room was born. Being able to create something from nothing that will last forever and speak to peoples hearts is something i don’t take lightly,” Justin captioned the shot.

On Aug. 16, Justin teased the collab with a pair of photos. In the shot – and in the video teaser that Skrillex shared a few days later – Justin had dreadlocks, indicating that the video was shot before he shaved his head in late May 2021.

“Don’t Go” marks a reunion for Justin and Skrillex. The two have worked together in the past, most notably on “Where Are Ü Now,” the hit song from Skrillex and Diplo’s supergroup, Jack Ü. Skrillex also produced a number of songs on Justin’s Purpose, “including arguably the biggest cut from the album, “Sorry.” The song has since been certified Diamond by the RIAA, and it became Justin’s second song to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The first was “What Do You Mean?”, the first single from Purpose.

Since then, Justin has racked up a total of eight No. 1s: “What Do You Mean?” “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One (with Quavo, Chance The Rapper, and Lil Wayne), Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” “Stuck With U” (with Ariana Grande), “Peaches” (with Giveon and Daniel Caesar, and, most recently, The Kid LAROI’s “Stay.” Justin is now tied with Drake with the most No. 1 among Canadians in the history of the Hot 100. The Weeknd is second with 6, while Bryan Adams and Celine Dion are tied at 4.

Justin’s most recent album, Justice, arrived in March 2021, roughly a year after he released Changes. Don Tolliver’s L.O.A.D. (Live Of A Don) album was supposed to drop in July, but it missed the deadline. Skrillex returned to music in 2021 after a brief hiatus, and has released a handful of songs so far this year.

It’s time for another one…between DJ Khaled and Justin Bieber. The duo teamed up with 21 Savage for ‘Let It Go,’ and the song is fire!

If there’s one thing that DJ Khaled loves more than proclaiming his love for his sons, it’s working with his friends, and on his new album, Khaled Khaled, the producer teamed up with Justin Bieber. Three years after they worked together on “No Brainer,” the duo reunited for “Let It Go,” a track also featuring 21 Savage. Listen to it below!

“Let It Go” marks the third time that Justin and Khaled have collaborated. They first teamed up in 2017 for “I’m The One,” a chart-topping hit that also featured Quavo, Chance The Rapper, and Lil Wayne. They attempted to catch lightning in a bottle for a second time in 20018, with “No Brainer.” Chance, Justin, and Quavo reunited on the track, and while it was still commercially successful, it wasn’t as successful as the first team-up. Whether or not Justin and 21 Savage top “I’m The One” is up to whether or not Khaled releases the track as a single.

Considering all the names featured on Khaled Khaled, it’s hard to pick which should follow “Sorry Not Sorry,” the album’s third single (following “Greece” and “Popstar,” two Drake-featuring tracks that were released in 2020.) The album boasts Cardi B (“Big Paper”), Post Malone, Meghan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby and DaBaby (“I Did It”), Justin Timberlake (“Just Be”), Bryson Tiller, H.E.R., and Meek Mill (“I Can Have It All”) and more – including “This Is My Year,” a track featuring Rick Ross, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, Big Sean, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

The chances of Justin joining Khaled for another one were high. “Justin is my brother and great friend that I have been blessed to work with so closely,” Khaled said on a March 2021 episode of his podcast, The First One, per Respect. “We came together for a special cloth talk, because we are ‘special cloth,’ where we discuss him starting at a young age, where he’s at now, what inspires him, and his new album, Justice.”

The question is – what did Khaled have to do to get Justin on “Let It Go.” Khaled told Billboard in 2017 that he approached Justin to be on “I’m The One,” and got invited to meet Bieber at his Beverly Hills mansion. “I hung up, jumped in the Rolls and brought a PA just to make sure I presented [the beat to the song] right,” says Khaled. They ended up listening to the track in Justin’s truck (which Khaled noted has “stars in it, a reclining fur seat, shit like a movie”) before Justin agreed. But, before Khaled left, Justin made him play a round of ground hockey. “I took a beating for that song,” said Khaled.

“His energy is infectious,” Bieber said of Khaled in 2017. “He’s got an amazing ear for hits, and when I heard the beat for this track, [Bieber’s collaborator] Poo Bear and I decided to jump on and write the hook. Khaled is a good friend and a lot of fun to be around, and when he believes in something, he makes you believe.”

Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot seem to be on again four months after their split, and now they might be engaged, as  Weezy wrote a tweet about ‘today is the beginning of our forever.’

Lil Wayne and girlfriend Denise Bidot seem to have made up following their Jan. 2021 split with a possible engagement. The 38-year-old rapper tweeted on Apr. 20, 2021 the cryptic message, “Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters,” as Wayne’s full name is  Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. Not to be confused of course with the most famous power couple also known as The Carters, which is Jay Z and Beyoncé .

Wayne’s tweet sure made it seem like Denise made him the “happiest man alive” by agreeing to marry him. Weezy just hinted about a reunion with an Apr. 14 Instagram stories video of Denise, 34, kneeling in the sand near the ocean. She wrote their names in the sand and drew a big heart around them and a smaller heard connecting their monikers. The brunette beauty then blew a kiss to the camera.

Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters.

— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) April 20, 2021

So far Weezy hasn’t posted anything to his Instagram yet about getting engaged to Denise. Instead, he’s been using the date of 4/20 to promote his new GKUA Ultra Premium weed products line with his Mr. Carter OG strain. Wayne even shared the big news that he’ll be teaming up with his marijuana company to put on a series of summer concerts now that COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted, featuring an Aug. 13 show at L.A.’s Coliseum with his Young Money crew.

Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot have broken up several times, only to get back together. Now he’s sparked engagement speculation with a cryptic tweet. Photo credit: SplashNews

Wayne and Denise began dating over the summer of 2020, but split up briefly following the “Lollipop” rapper giving Donald Trump a last minute presidential endorsement on Oct. 29, 2020. Wayne even posed with then then-POTUS for a photo and tweeted, “Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Denise then deleted all of her photos with Weezy, and later disabled her entire Instagram account altogether in an apparent split. She tweeted in frustration on Nov. 2, “Wow…can this year be over already.” But the pair was back together by Thanksgiving, when Wayne whisked Denise away on a romantic vacation. The two then rang in 2021 together, smiling in an IG selfie with fireworks going off behind them.

But the reunion proved short lived, as on Jan. 5, Wayne and Denise unfollowed each other on Instagram. She then shared a cryptic message that read “Pretty disappointing when you defend someone throughout everything and they turn out being just as sh*tty as everyone said they were,” without naming Weezy directly. But his post of her drawing their name in the sand with a heart sure made it seem like the two had made up again….and now six days later, Wayne is talking about “the beginning of our forever.” We’ll have to wait to see if he ends up posting a photo alongside Denise, or better yet, a photo of the model showing off some major ice on her left ring finger!

It looks like Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot have managed to patch things up after their January split. She smiled and drew their names in the sand inside of a heart.

After several breakups, it appears Lil Wayne and model Denise Bidot have found a way to make up again. The 38-year-old rapper — real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. — shared an Instagram stories video of Denise, 34, kneeling in the sand near the ocean, with the brunette beauty writing their names in the sand and drawing a big heart around them. She used her finger to draw “Denise” with a small heart for “loves Dwayne” then blew a kiss to the camera.

Over the video, Wayne seemed to be teasing a new track, as bars from a song could be heard. He didn’t write anything on the vid, though it seemed to speak for itself that he shared Denise showing so much love in his direction. This would be the first big indication that the pair have reconciled after splitting in early January. Denise hasn’t posted anything to her IG account since Jan. 21, and that was after she scrubbed it of photos of Wayne following their latest breakup.

On Jan. 5.,  Denise dropped a cryptic message that read “Pretty disappointing when you defend someone throughout everything and they turn out being just as sh*tty as everyone said they were,” though she didn’t mention Wayne by name,  She also shared a photo of her daughter giving a thumbs up sign and assured fans in caption, “We good over here. Happy Tuesday.” The pair also unfollowed each other on the ‘gram signaling another split.

It came despite the two appearing to be a happy couple again over New Years, where they were seen cuddling close as fireworks were going off overhead. Both Denise and Wayne had big smiles on their faces and were wearing shiny silver New Year’s 2021 novelty glasses.

That reunion came after Denise seemed to break up with Lil Wayne in early Nov. 2020, following his surprise meeting and endorsement for then-President Donald Trump. Denise — a Joe Biden supporter — then deleted not just her IG photos of her and Wayne, but her entire Instagram account as they appeared to split up. She kept her Twitter active where on Nov. 2, she wrote, “Wow…can this year be over already,” seemingly in reference to Wayne’s support of Trump. But the pair were back together by Thanksgiving, where he whisked her away on a lavish vacation.

Supporting Trump up paying off for the “Lollipop” rapper, as late on Jan. 19, 2021 in Trump’s final hours in office, he gave Wayne a presidential pardon, which saved him from a possible 10 year prison sentence. In Dec. 2020, Wayne pleaded guilty to possessing a loaded gun when his private jet landed in Miami and was searched by authorities. He’s not allowed to carry a firearm as a convicted felon. His sentencing was scheduled for Jan. 28, 2020, where he could have received up to a decade behind bars.

Diddy and his three daughters couldn’t be there for son Christian’s 23rd birthday party, so they came to him via a virtual hologram video.

With  Sean “Diddy” Combs and his daughters Chance, 15, and 14-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila spending time at the 51-year-old’s mansion on Miami’s exclusive Starr Island, they weren’t able to attend his son Christian Combs‘ early birthday celebration in the Hollywood Hills on Apr. 1. But thanks to the wonders of PORTL’s Epic device to appear as a life-size, 4K interactive holograms, the the four beamed in to the party and even helped sing along to “Happy Birthday.”

The twins looked adorable in matching black Rolling Stones logo vintage tour t-shirts, and had their hair in long braids. Even their faded and distressed jeans were a twinning look, as they each had holes over the right knee and left thigh in the denim. Chance looked far more “Miami” when it came to her style and the color of her outfit, rocking a pair of pink drawstring shorts and a light blue and pink tie-dye top.

Diddy did a fun dance for the California crew while toasting his son and his friends from a bottle of his Deleon premium tequila brand. He looked ready to party from afar in a black Fendi crewneck tracksuit, while his three teenage daughters next to him. Diddy gave an emotional speech about his son, telling him and his large crowd of partying pals, “I just want to tell you how much of a blessing it is that you’re my son. I feel like the coolest dad in the world, just cause you’re my son. Every day that I see you…you taught me how to smile. And I just want to tell you I love you for that. For being my son.” Like Jessie and D’Lila, Christian’s mom is the mogul’s late ex Kim Porter, who died in Nov. 2018 due to complications from pneumonia.

“And I’m the most proud dad in the world,” Diddy continued.  He then told everyone at the party that “I love you all. We love y’all from the Combs family. Christian, you’re a special one and I love you with all of my heart and soul. Keep being that beautiful person that you are. You’re a special one baby” as Christian looked at his dad’s hologram and shared the love right back. It was the next best thing to being there in person! If Diddy had been there, he would have been able to party with the likes of Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Swae Lee, Yung Thug and more of Christian’s celeb pals.

Adam Levine surprised ‘SNL’ fans with an unexpected appearance! The superstar sounded amazing performing alongside Jack Harlow.

Jack Harlow, 23, slayed his Saturday Night Live debut on March 27 — and he had one very special guest: Adam Levine, 42! The Maroon 5 singer appears on Jack’s debut studio album Thats What They All Say on the track “Same Guy,” which they performed together at Studio 8H. Jack, wearing a pink satin button down, diamond chain and white t-shirt, started his low key performance solo as Adam popped out for his verse.

“I can’t keep lettin’ s— slide (Can’t keep lettin’ s— slide)/Thought that I would change, but I’m the same guy,” Adam — wearing an army green jacket and black sweatpants — crooned. “Blamed it on my youth, but I know I’ve had time (Had time)/Now when it comes to you and I (Ooh), all that I ever did was tell lies/Am I gon’ keep this up ’til I die? Twitter erupted in excitement with Adam’s surprise appearance! “Adam Levine breaking into this song on SNL like Andy adding his vocals to Hunters song in the Dinner Party. No one asked, it’s just happens. #SNL #theoffice #dinnerparty,” one person tweeted. “adam levine literally just appearing on snl out of thin air,” another wrote, while other fans said his vocals were “fire.” While many were thrilled to see the singer, some were curious about his choice to wear quarantine attire and longer hair on stage. “Good on Adam Levine for showing up during the musical guest segment of SNL still apparently rocking a do-it-yourself pandemic haircut,” another wrote.

Adam Levine isn’t the only big name on Jack’s debut album, which also includes features by rappers Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, late R&B star Static Major, and, of course, Chris Brown. Chris and Jack teamed up for the sexy R&B tune “Already Best Friends,” which they dropped a video for on March 11. In the video, the pair party it up in Mexico surrounding by women as they sing about their newfound friendship and menage-a-trois.

The Maya Rudolph episode was full of surprises, with Martin Short appearing as Kamala Harris‘ husband Doug Emhoff for a hilarious Passover Seder sketch. In the bit, Martin’s Doug unfortunately gets attacked by Joe Biden’s dog Major — and later plants a big kiss on Kamala’s Maya. The hilarious episode also included cameos by Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig and Rachel Dratch.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s son Chet Hanks has come under fire for new controversial comments. Here’s 5 more things to know about him.

Chet Hanks, the 30-year-old son of Hollywood legend Tom Hanks has been in the spotlight from the day he was born. As Tom’s third child, and his first with wife Rita Wilson, Chet (born Chester Marlon Hanks) has been described as the black sheep of the Hanks family, given the disparity between his controversial image, and his dad’s wholesome reputation. He’s certainly no stranger to public scrutiny, and most recently came under fire for comments about the summer of 2021. Here are 5 things to know about him.

1. He was dragged by the internet for his ‘white boy summer’ comments.

The son of the 64-year-old A-list actor took to Instagram on March 26, to share a selfie video while sitting in a car. “I just got this feeling man that this summer is about to be a white boy summer, take it how you want,” he began. “I’m not talking about [Donald] Trump, Nascar type white boy summer, I’m talking about me, John BJack Harlow type white boy summer,” he added. Despite the obviously problematic nature of his rant, Twitter users put him on blast in the funniest way possible. “chet hanks is the price tom hanks paid to become tom hanks,” one user wrote, while another joked, “chet hanks is exactly what suburban parents in 2007 thought would happen to their children if they let them listen to like half a Lil Wayne song.”

Other users were shocked that Tom, one of the most respected and non-controversial Hollywood stars, was Chet’s father. “I physically can not imagine Chet Hanks and Tom Hanks talking to each other,” one person tweeted, while another joked, “Chet Hanks is proof that you can do everything right in the world and kids will still embarrass tf outta you.”

2. Chet has a daughter.

Chet has a daughter named Micaiah with his ex girlfriend Tiffany Miles. His mini-me was born in April 2016, and although he keeps that part of his life largely out of the public eye, he credits his daughter and parents with helping him overcome substance abuse issues. The year before his daughter was born, Chet was wanted by British police for trashing a hotel room, and later entered rehab for cocaine addiction.

3. He attempted a career in rap music.

Chet went by the name ‘Chet Haze’ when he decided to pursue a music career, and most famously parodied Wiz Khalifa’s song “Black & Yellow”. He released a track called “White and Purple” to reflect the colors at Northwestern University. While at college, he studied theatre and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

4. He has followed in his parents’ footsteps as an actor.

Fans would recall he appeared in the movie Bratz back in 2007, but would go on to play small roles in TV. He has appeared in Shameless, Empire, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

4. He was crushing on Adele.

Chet previously made headlines after he commented on British powerhouse Adele‘s photo, showing her love for Jamaica. In the August 2020 photo, she wore bantu braids and a flag bikini top. Chet later said in his own IG post, “I see the picture one day, it sweep me. I no tell no lie my girl, hair style fit ya. Big up yourself.” He wrote in the caption, “@theshaderoom PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ADELE HIT MY LINE ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED TO TALK TO HER ABOUT SOMETHING.”

As part of Donald Trump’s final day in office, the twice-impeached president issued a ton of pardons. This included one for Lil Wayne, who was facing 10 years over a gun charge, and Kodak Black, who is currently serving time in prison.

Donald Trump’s presidency ended not with a bang but with an odious whimper of cronyism. Trump, 74, issued a long list of clemencies and pardons on Jan. 19, his last full day in office before Joe Biden’s term began, and two of those receiving Donald’s “generosity” were none other than Lil Wayne, 38, and Kodak Black, 23, who both publicly supported Trump amid his reelection campaign in Oct. 2020.

Wayne (real name Dwayne Carter) was facing up to a decade in prison on gun charges from a 2019 arrest. Meanwhile, Kodak (real name Bill Kapri) was already in prison after pleading guilty to “lying on background check forms while buying multiple firearms in two different incidents” in 2019 and was given a 46-month prison sentence that was set to end in Aug. 2022, per The New York Times. Now, Lil Wayne will be completely avoiding jail time while Kodak’s prison sentence will be commuted, which their shared attorney revealed.

“President Trump and his administration have been tireless advocates on behalf of the African-American community,” Lil Wayne and Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, told our sister publication Rolling Stone in a statement on late Tuesday night, Jan. 19. The attorney added, “These pardons are a perfect example of this administration following up on its reforms and commitments.”

In the past, Trump has used the power of his office to pardon or commute the sentences of his family (Charles Kushner, father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner), allies (Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, and Gen. Michael Flynn, who were convicted of crimes committed regarding the 2016 election), supporters (Dinesh D’Souza, Joe Arpaio) and convicted killers (Clint Lorance, Matthew L. Golsteyn, and four Blackwater contractors involved in the Nisoor Square massacre.) As to how Lil Wayne got pardoned, it’s not that hard to find out.

Wayne (born Dwayne Carter Jr.) was arrested in Dec. 2019 as he arrived in Miami via private jet, after an anonymous tip prompted authorities to search his plane. The search uncovered a gold-played, pearl-gripped, .45-caliber Glock, ammunition, and drugs. Being that Wayne is a convicted felon, being in possession of the gun and ammunition was illegal. The rapper would plead guilty in Dec. 2020 to one count of possessing a firearm, and he faced up to ten years in prison. Wayne’s sentencing date was scheduled for Jan. 28, but now, that date is moot. Previously, Wayne served eight months of a year-long sentence after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in 2009.

Two months before pleading guilty to the 2019 charge, Wayne met with Trump. “Just had a great meeting with [Trump],” tweeted Wayne, along with a picture of him standing next to Trump. “[B]esides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured me he will and can get it done.” The meeting resulted in a huge public backlash from fans and peers alike.

“What have I …what have I….what have I done to deserve this?” tweeted Questlove. “oh no. WAYNE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER TOOK THIS PICTURE,” added 50 Cent. 50 Cent would also tease Wayne in Nov. 2020, tweeting, “Wait a minute, Trump still got 63 days left, call him Wayne. Get that fool on the phone.”

Wayne’s support of Trump seemingly cost him his relationship with Denise Bidot. Shortly after Wayne posed with Donald, the rapper and Denise unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumors of a breakup. Denise shut down the first wave of split speculation by revealing she and Wayne spend Thanksgiving 2020 together. However, at the start of 2021, speculation started back up again after fans noticed that they both stopped following each other again.

What do you think of the platinum plan? @bradfordcohen sent it to me and I read it ,this is what the community needs…. more ownership. That plan is right! I want to help with justice reform when I am out as well. @realDonaldTrump #justicereform #prisonreform

— Kodak Black (@KodakBlack1k) October 26, 2020

Like Lil Wayne, Kodak also showed his support for the POTUS ahead of the Nov. 2020 election. The “Tunnel Vision” rapper revealed that he was a fan of Trump’s Platinum Plan, which was designed to help Black Americans over the next four years. “What do you think of the platinum plan? @bradfordcohen sent it to me and I read it ,this is what the community needs…. more ownership. That plan is right! I want to help with justice reform when I am out as well. @realDonaldTrump #justicereform #prisonreform.”

Kodak also made a promise to donate to charity if he received a pardon, according to a now-deleted tweet that Revolt shared: “If The President Them Free Me, I’m Gonna Spend 1 million on Charity within The First Year I’m Out. That’s on Everything.” During his time in prison, Kodak also organized a charity Christmas toy drive for children in Dec. 2020.

Lil Wayne is looking at serious prison time after pleading guilty to a federal weapons charge after he was caught carrying loaded handgun in his bag aboard a private flight into Miami.

Lil Wayne‘s fans might not be getting any new albums from the rapper for awhile, because he could be doing up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal weapons charge, TMZ reports.  He entered the plea on Dec. 11 in Miami, and sentencing is scheduled for next month, in Jan. 2021. The 38-year-old already has a conviction on another felony gun charge to his name, which occurred in NY in 2009. HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Wayne’s reps about the plea.

Wayne  — full name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. — was busted after flying in on a private jet to Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on December 23, 2019, after someone called in an anonymous tip to authorities. Wayne fessed up to police to having a gold-plated Remington 1911, .45-caliber handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition. He also allegedly had a “bag containing personal use amounts of cocaine, ecstasy, and oxycodone” according to TMZ, but he wasn’t brought up on any drug charges.

Wayne may not be doing a whole decade in prison, even though that is the maximum sentence. Since the rapper cooperated and pled guilty in the case, TMZ’s sources say that “the government agreed to recommend a lighter sentence because he’s accepting responsibility,” but it will be up to a judge to make the final call.

The Trump campaign was willing to pay a pretty penny for 50 Cent’s support, the rapper alleged on ‘The View’ — and claimed that Lil Wayne took the deal.

50 Cent doubled down on his claim that Lil Wayne was paid off by the Trump campaign during his November 18 appearance on The View, claiming that he was offered money to support the president, as well. “I think the timing of it — for me, they offered $500,000 and went up to $1 million to attend the inauguration,” the rapper, 45, said. “In Wayne’s case, they were looking for people to publicly support [Donald Trump] in different ways.”

The For Life star believes that Trump asking for his support was “absolutely” an attempt by the Trump campaign to gain the Black male vote before the November 2020 presidential election, doubling down on what he said on The Breakfast Club the day prior: “[Trump] was needing it for the same reasons you see now,” Fiddy told Charlamagne Tha God. “He participated with different artists for the Black vote. And I’m going, ‘nah, I ain’t gonna put myself in that position.’ Cause I don’t know what I’d have to do to recover from that.”

He got a small taste of what that would’ve been like when he seemingly endorsed Trump on Instagram prior to the election by bashing Joe Biden‘s tax plans. He quickly recanted and clarified that he was voting for Biden after massive backlash from fans — and his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Handler. Chelsea told 50 Cent that he used to be her “favorite ex,” and would sleep with him again if he’d denounce Trump. He immediately tweeted, “F**k Donald Trump, I never liked him.”

Wayne shocked his fans by posing for a photo with Trump, which he posted to Twitter on October 29. He touted Trump’s “Platinum Plan,” which would allegedly provide $500 billion in capital to Black communities. Wayne was roundly skewered after sending the tweet. Some fans speculated that it was the reason he and girlfriend Denise Bidot split. His daughter, Reginae Carter, publicly supported Biden.

And Fiddy joked that Wayne should get Trump to bail him out of jail when he was pressed with federal firearm charges. HollywoodLife has reached out to the Trump campaign and Lil Wayne’s rep for comment on this story, but did not hear back as of press time.

John Legend claims Trump-supporting rappers such as Lil Wayne and 50 Cent have been taken in by the president’s ‘lies’ and dissed them, calling the artists members of a sad new ‘super group.’

John Legend had some choice words for top rappers endorsing Donald Trump in the final days before the 2020 presidential election. The “All of Me” singer appeared onstage at Democrat Joe Biden‘s final campaign appearance in Pittsburgh, PA on Nov. 2. He called out the terrible traits in Trump that some rap artists are confusing as strengths, and without naming names, hinted that Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Ice Cube and others were getting suckered by the president to endorse him.

“Now some people see the meanness, the bullying, the selfishness of Donald Trump and they mistake it for strength. A kind of twisted masculinity. Some see his greed and they mistake it for being good at business,” Legend told the audience from behind his piano onstage.

“Some of your former favorite rappers have been taken in by these lies. I think they even founded a new super group. It’s ‘The Sunken Place,’” Legend continued, without directly name checking the rappers. John then went on to explain that “Trump’s Platinum Plan for Black folks is nothing but fool’s gold.”

Both Wayne and Ice Cube have had positive things to say about Trump’s “Platinum Plan,” which would allegedly provide $500 billion in capital to Black communities. Wayne, 38, even met face to face with the 74-year-old about it. In an Oct. 29 tweet, Wayne smiled as he stood next to Trump and wrote in the caption, “Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus. besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

While Ice Cube hasn’t officially endorsed Trump, he has been working with his team on the Platinum Plan after creating his own Contract with Black America. The 51-year-old took a lot of heat when a Trump campaign senior advisor let the news slip that Cube had been dealing with them. It even became a joke on Saturday Night Live that Cube was on Team Trump because he was afraid of Joe Biden’s potential tax proposal for the nation’s top earners, which is why 50 Cent said he wouldn’t vote for the Democrat. Fif claimed that he could be paying in upwards of 63 percent of his income when federal, state and local taxes were combined in both California and NYC under Biden.

😂😂😂…fuck you SNL…trying to reduce me to greed. https://t.co/pObFAkOvcq

— Ice Cube (@icecube) November 1, 2020

SNL even parodied Cube’s support of Trump, showing Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd as the rapper/actor and and  Lil’ Wayne, who were both seen in red “Make America Great Again” hats. Jim Carrey‘s Biden asked them, “Why in the name that is holy would you be voting for Trump?” to which they replied in unison, “Taxes.” Cube was actually upset by that, tweeting out the scene and  wrote, “f**k you SNL…trying to reduce me to greed,” for implying he just wanted to protect his fortune by supporting Trump. When he was outed as working with Team Trump, Cube stressed that he reached out to Biden’s camp as well about his Contract with Black America, but was told that any conversations would have to wait until after the election.

Before Denise, Lil Wayne was dating Australian model La’Tecia Thomas, 29. They even sparked dating rumors after fans saw La’Tecia wearing a diamond ring in an Instagram post in Dec. 2019, and they were still together when the duo attended Lil Wayne’s album release party for Funeral in Miami, Florida on Feb. 1. As you can see, both have since moved on!

Drake got everyone buzzing on July 17 when he dropped his new song ‘Greece’ and seemingly referenced his son Adonis’ mother Sophie Brussaux. So, are they an item again?

Drakes new song “Greece” has a line in it that fans think might be about Sophie Brussaux, the mother of his son, Adonis Graham. In the new hit, which is his most recent collab with DJ Khaled, Drake raps, “Speedboats, baby, in Nikki Beach”, a nod to Nikki Beach Worldwide — a luxury beach club brand that has locations around the world, including in Greece. The ultra-posh clubs are a favorite of Sophie, causing fans to guess that he’s giving her a shout out. Although the Canadian born rapper hasn’t addressed the speculation yet, a source close to him tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that he treats Sophie with “nothing but love.” But, that doesn’t mean they’re a couple.

“His relationship with her is amazing but they’re strictly co-parents” the source tells HollywoodLife. “Drake‘s so happy that she’s moved to Toronto with Adonis because he loves having his son close by. His family has gotten to be very close with Adonis and with Sophie too. Drake does everything to give his son the best life possible and that includes treating his son’s mother with nothing but love and respect.”

Drake performs during the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour at State Farm Arena on Friday, November 16, 2018, in Atlanta.

As fans of the “Toosie Slide” rapper know, his son Adonis was born in 2017 — but he waited until 2020 to post pictures of the adorable tot. “I posted those pictures. It was great for me. It was great to just share that with the world and I just felt like … It wasn’t even anything I talked to anybody about or anything I planned,” the rapper said on episode two of Lil Wayne’s talkback show.
When Drake finally shared picture of his son fans were shocked by his curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes. They couldn’t get over how much the toddler looked like Drake’s motherSandy Graham. “Drake’s son resembles his MOM so much,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “I think that is beautiful because Drake adores his mother so much. Best blessing ever,” the tweet continued.
Since then, fans have gotten multiple glimpses at Drake’s gorgeous little boy.  In the most recent video, posted to Drake’s Instagram Story on June 21, Adonis can be seen celebrating Father’s Day with his famous dad. In the video, Drake is opening his gifts from Adonis while the  the two-year old plays in the background.

50 Cent shared a video of ex Vivica A. Fox saying he has ‘f**kboy tendencies’ in response to his claim that black women get ‘angry’ when he explores ‘exotic’ women.

50 Cent, 45, thinks ex Vivica A. Fox, 55, is “still in love” with him after she responded to his recent controversial comments about black women getting “angry” when he dates “exotic” women. The rapper shared a video clip of the actress talking about her feelings on the topic and although she said she thinks he has “f**kboy tendencies” and “can’t handle a black woman”, he didn’t hesitate to claim that her anger means she’s not romantically over him.

“👀Vivica still in love with me, i dated her for 4 months 😳17 years ago and she’s still angry with me. I’m starting to feel like my 🍆is serious. LOL 😆#bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” 50 wrote in the caption for the video.

The clip shows Vivica speaking in a video chat from her home during her appearance on Fox Soul, a live streaming channel dedicated to African American viewers, and when Lisa Raye, who was also on the stream, asked her about 50 and his recent comments, she didn’t hesitate to say exactly what was on her mind. “He just has such f**kboy tendencies, you know what I mean?” she began. “When I read that, I was like, ‘really, you would say that because you don’t want anybody to challenge you or talk to you, you want somebody to sit over there like a pretty little dog. You can’t handle a black woman, can you?’”

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) on Jul 5, 2020 at 3:52pm PDT

Vivica and 50’s responses to each other come one day after 50 had the controversial conversation about black women during an interview with Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio. When speaking about the “exotic” women he dates, he brought up his opinions that have now made headlines.

“They get mad. They get angry,” he said about black women’s reactions to the types of women he dates. “You see a lot of sisters go ‘you f*ck with this kind of girl and that kind of girl?’ That shit is exotic! That shit look a lot different than the shit you see in the neighborhood all of the time. That shit look like it came off a boat.”

Like Vivica, many social media users responded to the interview with criticism. “It really bothers me that black men really feel bold enough and comfortable enough to openly bash black women when the world already hates us enough… I saw the clip from 50 Cent and Lil Wayne’s talk show,” one Twitter user wrote while another called 50’s outlook “toxic”.

This isn’t the first time Vivica and 50, who dated in 2003, have had a public feud that included shocking comments about each other. Vivica claimed she was the one who mostly initiated sex during their romance, in her 2018 book Every Day, I’m Hustling, and 50 angrily responded on Instagram by asking, “Who does this? What the f**ck!?” along with other comments about how he once took “a blue pill” and “had her ass in the matrix’s.” On the other hand, that same year, Vivica did tell Wendy Williams that she would “never say never” when it comes to a “reconciliation” and admitted she was still attracted to him.

It will be interesting to see where things go with Vivica and 50 from here but we’ll be on the lookout to see if any other comments are said!

Zonnique is torn between which song to release as her newest single. Tiny and Monica both share their input in this EXCLUSIVE ‘Friends & Family Hustle’ preview, and Reginae weighs in about being a celebrity kid.

Zonnique Pullins brings in mom Tiny, Monica, and Reginae Carter to get their thoughts on which song should be her new single. She plays “Born Winner,” which is a total jam. “Usually, my mom is extremely involved in getting writers or putting me in the studio with different people,” Zonnique says in this EXCLUSIVE preview. “This time around, it’s me doing it and bringing it to her. She just gives her input.”

The young singer also plays one of her slower songs, “Gotta Get Over You.” They’re two very different songs, so this decision is a tough one. “It’s okay for her to be at a crossroads trying to figure out what to do and how to do it,” Monica admits. “But be who you are. I fought for the things I wanted to do. My album cover for The Makings of Me, my mother hated it. But I saw that look and was like, ‘Imma try that.’ That’s it. That’s all.”

For Reginae, she loves seeing how Zonnique has “grown as an artist.” She adds, “I think as a celebrity kid it’s really hard to step out of your parent’s shadow, especially being Tameka’s daughter, Lil Wayne’s daughter. It’s hard for us to create our own lane, but we’re going to do it.”

Even though her friends and family have weighed in, Zonnique hasn’t made a decision just yet. She admits she’s more “conflicted” than ever and says she may just have people at her listening party vote on which song should be the first single. T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on VH1.

Juelz Santana – Boiling Water Lyrics (feat. Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz & Belly)

[Chrous: Belly & Juelz Santana]
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (Watch it lock, boy)
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (Watch it rock, boy)
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (This that Milly Rock, boy)
Ugly, but I’m handsome in the yacht (Woo)

Ugly f**ker throwin’ me the box (Woo)
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (In the pot, boy)
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (This that Milly Rock, boy)

[Verse 1: Juelz Santana]
Forever livin’ ruthless
I could build an empire off of cookie, call me Lucious, uh
I’m gettin’ money, no assumin’, no excuses
My trap house metro boomin’ (boomin’, boomin’)
Haters never wanna see you get your eat on
Up in Phillipe with that Patek on
I ain’t Pablo, but I’m Honcho
Bruce Leeroy, boy how I glow, uh
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot, ho
Momma said, “What you doin’?,” I’m just cookin’ pot roast
Soon as she turned her back, I winked my eye, though
Your bitch wanna f**k me, so I kill that pussy, John Doe, woah
Doors up on el Argo
Extra cargo, trunk full of narcos
That water liftin’, have to whip it while the jar float
I keep a Glock, more dough than a pizza shop

[Chrous: Belly & Juelz Santana]
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (Watch it lock, boy)
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (Watch it rock, boy)

[Verse 3: Lil Wayne]
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot
All my Audemars dancin’, tip my watch
Skinny corduroy pants is full of guap
And the party is gettin’ crashed, then we on out
Just some Mardi Gras masks-s and some locks, uh
Phone charger wrapped around the opp, yeah
Chrome pointed exactly at his mop, yeah
Somebody yelled, “Action!”, and I shot him
Had their own party splashin’, met a thot, yeah
Her boyfriend passionate, I’m not, damn
My calls get cancelled, never dropped, and I’m Bone Thugs faster than the cops
Styrofoam cups, Actavis and pop and a few prescription passes from the doc
Had a few collision crashes then a stop, yeah
Movin’ soft like a Hardtop
Trap house pumpin’ like the Hard Rock
Pills got me feelin’ like the storage dropped
Credit card pumpin’ when your heart stop
Packs in my broad route, and I’m boilin’ water lookin’ at the clock
It’s the rock

[Chrous: Belly & Juelz Santana]
Boilin’ water dancin’ in the pot (Watch it lock, boy)

All I can do is smile
And all I can do is smile
When I look, when I look
