During a virtual audition, an anonymous director insulted Lukas Gage’s ‘tiny’ apartment — without knowing the mic was unmuted! Many stars were appalled.

This may just be one of the most awkward auditions ever — to have been recorded, at least. Lukas Gage, known for playing Tyler on Euphoria, was getting ready to audition for a new role for an anonymous director over Zoom, when said director started insulting Lukas’s apartment in the background. Unfortunately, the director’s mic wasn’t muted.

“These poor people live in these tiny apartments, like I’m looking at his…you know, background, and he’s got his TV,” the director started telling another person behind the screen. Tyler didn’t let the director carry on with his shade much longer, though. “Oof. Yeah…I know it’s a sh–ty apartment. That’s why give me this job so I can get a better one,” the 25-year-old actor quipped. “All right, ready?”

A long, awkward silence ensued, until the director caught on to the social faux pas. “Oh my god, I am so, so sorry, Lukas,” the director gushed, but Lukas went on with his joke: “Listen, I’m living in a 4×4 box. It’s fine. Just give me the job, and we’ll be fine.”

I can only imagine how bad this director’s movies are. https://t.co/jmigfyr4lc

This earned a laugh from the director’s associate offscreen, while the director added, “I’m mortified.” Although Lukas appeared to find the “tiny” apartment comment funny at the time, he did share a warning for all casting directors. Lukas posted a recording of the audition to Twitter on Nov. 20, and wrote, “psa if youre a sh-t talking director make sure to mute ur sh-t on zoom mtgings.” It’s clear that Lukas didn’t take the director’s diss that lightly, because he also retweeted a comment from director Charlie McDowell — who recently became engaged to Lily Collins — that read, “I can only imagine how bad this director’s movies are.”

Other celebrities chimed in on Instagram, like January Jones, who cryptically wrote that she has “a guess” as to who this director could be. Lukas’s Euphoria co-stars also chimed in, like Barbie Ferreira who wrote, “YOU POSTED IT DJFJJFJR,” and Maude Apatow who commented, “Lukas I can’t.” But Shameless star Emmy Rossum had the most attention-grabbing comment out of the many stars who reacted: “I think I know that voice. If it’s who I’m thinking, he asked me to ‘audition’ for him once. But not to read a scene. He said he knew I could act. Just to come into his office in a bikini and do a twirl. No joke. THAT was the ask. My reps said he wanted to know if I was ‘fat right now’. I believe I told my agent, ‘Tell him no thank you and to go fuck himself’.”

Lukas was featured on four episodes in Season 1 of Euphoria, and his character is at the center of a scandal between Nate, Maddy and Jules that [SPOILER] leads to his arrest. Filming for Season 2 of the HBO teen drama was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is now projected to resume in “early 2021,” which HBO president Casey Bloys told our sister site Deadline. However, two specials were filmed amid the pandemic, one of them being a Christmas special that’ll premiere on Dec. 6 — learn more details, here.

Robert Pattinson made a rare appearance to support a charity close to his heart. The actor tested positive for COVID-19 last month, requiring production of his film ‘The Batman’ to be shut down.

Robert Pattinson, 34, is looking healthy and happy! The Twilight actor appeared in his first on-camera appearance since reports that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 3. Robert co-hosted the virtual GO Gala alongside Lily Collins and Ewan McGregor to raise awareness and funds for vulnerable children on Saturday, Oct. 24.

“Just last month GO started a new initiative in one of LA’s most impoverished neighborhoods where children were trying to attend online classes but in order to do so they had to sit on a curb outside of a fast food restaurant just to get wifi,” Robert said in the video. “No child should have to sit on a curb to get an education,” he added.

The British actor rocked a baby blue button down shirt and black blazer for the formal event, showing off his longer brunette hair. His face looked full, and he certainly appeared to have bounced back from the deadly virus. Robert tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after filming on his highly anticipated flick The Batman resumed, forcing the London-based production to shut down again.

Warner Bros. said in a Sept. 3 statement, “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.” An action-packed trailer for the movie — which also stars Zoe Kravitz and Colin Farrell — quickly went viral Aug. 22, proving Rob was born to play the iconic Caped Crusader. The film is slated for release in Oct. 2021.

Robert was spotted sharing a sweet kiss with his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, 28, in London mid-September. The intimate moment came just under two weeks after he tested positive for COVID, and he seemed to be in good spirits. The couple were dressed casually as they cuddled on a park bench, both sporting protective blue masks pulled down from their faces. Both Rob and Suki also sported sunglasses for the outing, adding to the incognito vibes. The happy couple have been dating for just over two years.

Robert, Lily and Ewan are just three of the big names appearing at the 14th annual GO Gala, which is going virtual for the first time. David Foster and his pregnant wife Katharine McPhee, HAIM, and Judith Hill are all slated to perform. “I’m grateful that we can still come together virtually and now globally to help raise funds for GO Campaign and its mission to support families and children worldwide,” Robert said in a statement released about the event, which will be donating funds raised to the GO Campaign’s continued efforts for global COVID-19 relief, efforts towards racial justice in the United States as well as vulnerable children and orphans in need.
