Meek Mill has already upset fans by rapping about ‘going out’ in a chopper crash like the late Kobe Bryant. Now his widow Vanessa is calling Meek out for ‘disrespecting’ her late husband.

Certain things are just off limits, like anything mocking late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant‘s tragic death in a Jan. 26, 2020 helicopter crash at the age of 41. Meek Mill used Kobe’s deadly accident in a new song that leaked on Feb. 17, and the late NBA icon’s widow Vanessa Bryant is now calling him out for it. She posted lyrics that appeared online last week under a new Meek song, “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe),” which are part of a new collab with Lil Baby to her Instagram stories. The line infuriated fans, and now Vanessa is weighing in.

“The b*tch I’m f**kin’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me,” the first line went, with the next being “Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” making his name part of the rhyme. Mentioning Kobe’s deadly chopper crash — which also killed his 13-year-old daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant  and seven others — was too much for Vanessa.

The still mourning 38-year-old shared the offending lyrics to her Instagram stories on Feb. 22 and wrote over them, “Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better that this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

Later in the song’s lyrics, which can be seen here, Lil Baby drops more bars about Kobe and Gigi. “I made a promise before God, that want’ll never hold me // I damn near wanna have a son, so I can name him Kobe // Daughter Gigi, I done beat them odds, I wish lil’ one could see me.”

somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….shit like zombie land or something! Lol

— Meek Mill (@MeekMill) February 18, 2021

While Meek hasn’t responded to Vanessa’s post or directly addressed the lyrics, he did share on Twitter “Somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it,” on Feb. 17 when the lyric leaked. In another tweet he wrote, “Y’all internet antics cannot stop me. S*** like Zombieland or something! They paying to influence y’all now. It’s almost like mind control.” Fellow Philadelphia rapper Kenny Smith has come to Meek’s defense, saying he loved Kobe. “I’m a Meek Mill fan. I know that he’s a huge basketball fan, huge Kobe fan. Whatever he says, I’m always going to give Meek a pass,” Kenny told TMZ Sports on Feb. 20.

Welcome home, Trey Songz. Fans are celebrating Trey’s new album, ‘Back Home,’ which arrived with a very special music video starring none other than Trey’s baby boy!

Though COVID-19 has put a lot of music on hold, Trey Songz didn’t let the disease – one he himself contracted – stop him from dropping his eighth studio album. Trey, 35, released Back Home, on Oct. 9, which was filled with 22 tracks of classic, good-for-the-soul R&B. As an added surprise, Trey dropped a music video for track No. 21, “I Know A Love,” dedicated to his one-year-old son Noah Neverson whom he shares with Caro Colon. The visuals were a montage of videos and photos revealing sweet moments between the son and father, like their cuddle sessions and many fun hangouts.

The fact that @TreySongz gave his son a writing credit on every song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 boy gonna have a bag before he can talk.

— Maserati Maine 🕊 (@maserati_maine) October 9, 2020

Trey further proved that he’s the best dad ever by giving his one-year-old a songwriting credit on every single track on his new album, which a few fans pointed out on Twitter! “The fact that @TreySongz gave his son a writing credit on every song is [fire emojis] boy gonna have a bag before he can talk,” one fan tweeted. Trey’s baby boy actually made his music video debut in the visuals for the album’s title track “Back Home,” Trey’s collaboration with Summer Walker that details a complicated romance, one that brings “happiness and pain.” The video was released in April, and was filmed amid quarantine — you can watch it below.

While appearing on The Quicksilver Show in May, Trey revealed that he wanted to sign Summer before the “Playing Games” singer was famous. “I had this song that I would listen to and I forgot who sent it to me,” he said, per Revolt. “So it’s like two years, I would listen to this girl singing this song, the ‘Girls Need Love’ song … I text every producer that I know personally like, ‘Do you know who is singing this song? I love this girl. I wanna sign this girl.’ And then like two years later after all that, Summer Walker comes out with ‘Girls Need Love.’”

Trey’s new album also contains “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” a song he released in June following the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and other Black men and women at the hands of the police. ““Three or four nights ago I woke up in the middle of my sleep…I couldn’t sleep. My chest was hurting. I got up and called my producer, Troy Taylor and I said ‘We’ve got to make music that really touches the soul, that really addresses what the world is feeling right now. Especially our people,’” Trey said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. Trey’s passion would lead him to brush up against Meek Mill, resulting in a back and forth between the rappers. Needless to say, Meek doesn’t feature on Trey’s new album.

Unfortunately, the celebration for Back Home’s release was cut short when he tested positive for COVID-19. I’ve taken many tests as I’ve been out protesting, food drives, of course, I have a very young son at home, so I get tested periodically and this time it, unfortunately, came back positive,” Trey said on Oct. 6. “7.5 million Americans have contracted Covid. One out of a thousand black people have died from it. I will be taking this seriously. I will be self-quarantining. I will be in my house until I see a negative sign.” Unlike other musicians who have seemingly blown off the dangers of the pandemic, Trey said that he’s always taken COVID seriously.

“I don’t know how many of y’all know but my grandfather passed earlier this year, and while it wasn’t said that it was COVID, I do believe it was,” he added. “I’ve always taken it serious, and if you come into contact with COVID, please do the same. Don’t be like the president [Donald Trump.] I thank you in advance for your support and love.”

Amid marital drama with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian had a cupcake party filled with smiles and kisses with their children Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1!

Kim Kardashian, 39, had the sweetest kitchen party with her three youngest children! The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star treated her guests of honor — Chicago, 2, Saint, 4, and Psalm, 1 — with frosted chocolate cupcakes, which was a hit with the party crowd. The trio of siblings had the cutest reactions in a series of videos that Kim filmed of their cupcake feast, which she posted to her Instagram Story on Sept. 21!

Chicago couldn’t stop smiling as she bobbed her head side to side while enjoying her cupcake by Kim, who gave her little one kisses on the cheek. “You’re such a cutie,” Kim gushed. Saint also jumped in front of the camera for another video, and smiled wide by his little sister! Finally, Psalm got the spotlight, who remained cool and composed amid the dessert festivities while rocking a baby-sized gold bracelet.

Despite the happy cupcake gathering, Kim is dealing with marital problems with her husband and the father of her children, Kanye West. The drama began when Kanye made a number of alarming statements in July, like when he claimed that Kim had considered having an abortion while pregnant with their firstborn, North West, and when he tweeted that he tried to “get divorced” after Kim’s “prison reform” meeting with Meek Mill.

Kanye later apologized, and the Yeezy boss even took Kim and their kids on vacations in the Dominican Republic and Colorado in August. However, Kanye was back to posting headline-making tweets by September, such as a video of himself appearing to pee on his Grammy Award, and a message directed at North that read, “NORTHY I AM GOING TO WAR AND PUTTING MY LIFE ON THE LINE AND IF I AM MURDERED DON’T EVER LET WHITE MEDIA TELL YOU I WASNT A GOOD MAN… WHEN PEOPLE THREATEN TO TAKE YOU OUT OF MY LIFE JUST KNOW I LOVE YOU.”

Amid this Twitter drama, a source close to Kim EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife, “It’s very sad and embarrassing to her and the entire family what is happening. She wants Kanye to take better care of himself, but she can’t make him. She truly loves Kanye, but you can see it’s taking a toll on her. Half the time he won’t answer the phone and she doesn’t know where he is, so she worries.”

When it comes to where their six-year marriage currently stands, another source EXCLUSIVELY told us, “As far as the future, she’s still weighing all options, but she doesn’t want to leave Kanye at a time when he’s struggling.”

Kim Kardashian feels ‘very stuck’ as the world continues to watch husband Kanye West’s Twitter outbursts & feels she ‘can’t control him.’

Kim Kardashian, 39, is struggling amidst husband Kanye West‘s recent Twitter storms. “This is a really tough time for Kim. She feels very stuck right now because the whole world is watching her relationship with Kanye play out,” an insider close to the KKW Beauty founder spilled to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “She hates that it has to happen so publicly and has tried everything to get him help and to stay off social media, but she can’t control him,” they added.

Drama aside, Kanye’s health maintains a priority for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.  “It’s very sad and embarrassing to her and the entire family what is happening. She wants Kanye to take better care of himself, but she can’t make him,” the source explained. “She truly loves Kanye, but you can see it’s taking a toll on her. Half the time he won’t answer the phone and she doesn’t know where he is, so she worries.”

After Kanye tweeted that he wanted to “divorce” Kim following her meeting about “prison reform” with Meek Mill — as well as his comments that they almost aborted their daughter North, 7 — Kim took to social media with a message of support. “She feels she’s tried everything to intervene,” the insider went on, noting that the couple’s kids North, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1 — are top of mind. “The kids are young enough to not see what’s happening and she’s thankful for that. Especially since they are home and not at school right now, she doesn’t have to worry as much about them hearing or seeing things. She never wants them to see some of the things he’s said. Her number one priority is those kids always and forever,” they revealed.

The Yeezy designer has once again taken to Twitter to share a series of bizarre messages, including that he wanted to help Taylor Swift, 30, get her masters back following drama with his manager Scooter Braun. “I’M GOING TO PERSONALLY SEE TO IT THAT TAYLOR SWIFT GETS HER MASTERS BACK. SCOOTER IS A CLOSE FAMILY FRIEND,” Kanye wrote on Sept. 18. Just two days prior, he posted video of himself urinating on a Grammy award, seemingly as a way of showing he wants to be released from recording contracts his label, Universal Music Group, and publisher, Sony/ATV Music Publishing. “Trust me…I WONT STOP,” the Watch The Throne rapper said.

Amidst Kanye’s recent rants, Kim appears to be busier than ever promoting her latest fragrance collaborations with sisters Khloe Kardashian, 36, and Kourtney Kardashian, 41. The trio released the Diamonds II collection earlier this week, featuring an emerald-toned fragrance by Kim, a blue sapphire one inspired by Khloe, and a red ruby for Kourtney. The sisters looked so glam in gorgeous two-piece silk gowns in the campaign. In addition to her latest drop, the SKIMS founder also spent a day with longtime BFF Paris Hilton, 39, where the pair recreated an iconic look from the 2000s.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West’s recent family camping trip was ‘solely about the kids’ a source spills to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.

Kim Kardashian, 39, and Kanye West, 43, seem to be in a positive place following the Life of Pablo‘s tweet about wanting to divorce her. “Kim and Kanye are getting along just fine right now. It’s all for the kids so they’re not getting into anything about their relationship,” a source close to the couple spilled to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “Most of their conversations are about the kids. Nothing has changed between them,” the insider noted, going on to reveal that their recent camping trip was “for” their adorable kids North, 7, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1.

“Kim and Kanye are doing these vacations for the kids really. She’s telling people that these trips the family are taking right now and this time together is really just about being together as a family for their children,” the source explained. “This is in no way an attempt to save their marriage or work on things — it’s solely about the kids and them having time together as a family. That’s always something that’s been important to Kim and she wouldn’t let any issues with Kanye stop her from doing that,” they explained, adding that North and Kim both “love” to camp.

“Kim even knows how to pitch a tent and help with a campfire. A lot of people don’t know this about her but she’s pretty outdoorsy and enjoys nature,” the insider noted of the glam KKW Beauty founder. “Kim likes the kids to be rounded so she likes to take them to different places which is probably why she’d go somewhere other than Wyoming. She likes them to see the world and have new experiences,” our source said, revealing that Kim has “been keeping her whereabouts on these trips pretty quiet amongst her friends so not many people are aware of her family’s plans right now.”

Speculation has been swirling that Kim and Kanye’s marriage could be in trouble after the Yeezy designer revealed that he and Kim “almost” aborted their eldest daughter North at a campaign event in July. Shortly after, he tweeted that he wanted to “divorce” Kim after she met with rapper Meek Mill, 33. “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek [Mill] at the Waldorf for ‘prison reform’,” Kanye tweeted, referencing a 2018 meeting in NYC between Kim and Meek. Later, Kanye apologized “for going public with something that was a private matter,” also saying, “I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me.”

“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder,” Kim wrote on July 22, publicly supporting her husband of six years. “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health,” she also said.

It’s over for Meek Mill & GF Milan Rouge Harris! The rapper took to Instagram to announce the surprising split just days after being called out by Kanye West for his meeting with Kim Kardashian.

Meek Mill, 33, is single once again. The Championships rapper took to Twitter to publicly announce his split from girlfriend Milan Rouge Harrris, 31, just two months after welcoming their first child. “We [sic] me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents …,” Meek — née Robert Rihmeek Williams — posted on the social media platform Sunday, July 26. “we still have mad love for each other but we both came to a understanding! -meek-,” he signed off. Reposting his tweet to Instagram, he also added, “@iammilanrouge no fall out either just moving forward! Still love! This for protection so social media wont think we moving wrong..”

Meek and Milan — who is the designer behind popular streetwear label Milano di Rouge — were romantically linked for about a year before news that they were expecting a child broke in February. “My girl is with me pregnant watching me tweet about my ex is very clownish … Ima exit,” he surprisingly tweeted at the time, replying amidst a heated online feud between him and ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj, 37. Milan previously did reveal that she was expecting in Dec. 2019 at a fashion show for her label, but did not reveal who the father was at the time.

Milan, who is a Philadelphia native, welcomed the couple’s baby boy on May 6 — which coincidentally is also Meek’s birthday! “Milano dropped me off a king on my birthday! #thebestgift,” he gushed on Twitter, including a heart emoji. Meek, who is also dad to sons Rumad and Rihmeek with ex-girlfriend Fahimah Raheem, seemed absolutely overjoyed to become a father for the third time!

News of the split also comes just days after Meek was named in a Twitter outburst by Kanye West, 43. The Yeezy designer called out Meek over a 2018 meeting with wife Kim Kardashian, 39, about prison reform. Both Kim and Meek have been activists when it both comes to changing America’s prison system, as well as advocating to get those wrongly imprisoned released. “I’ve been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf for ‘prison reform,’” Kanye tweeted then later deleted on July 21. “Meek is my man and was respectful. That’s my dog Kim was out of line,” he also wrote.

Meek seemingly responded to Kanye’s tweet, although declined to name names. “S— is cappp cmon …..” he wrote on July 22. Since, a photo of Kim and Meek’s outdoor NYC meeting — which also included philanthropist Clara Wu Tsai — has surfaced.

Meek Mill has always tried to give back to the community in his native Philadelphia. Which is why he had a biting response to Trey Songz’ claim that Meek wasn’t pouring enough cash into his hometown’s needs.

When it comes to picking fights about financially giving back to one’s hometown community, Meek Mill is the wrong person to mess with. But Trey Songz decided to go there after the 33-year-old rapper and activist posted an Instagram photo showing himself shirtless and rolling though a massive stack of hundred dollar bills in his hands. Meek wrote in the caption, “Ain’t no such thing as being real with people that’s tryna use you!” Trey then challenged him to give that money to Philadelphians in needs.

Trey Songz comes for Meek Mill in the comments of a photo of Meek holding a stack of $100 bills.

Trey then hit him up in the comments, writing “Take some of them bands and accept the #feedyourcitychallenge.” The challenge was formed by the Ricky Davis Legacy Foundation, rapper Pusha T and Suave Records founder Tony Draper to help feed families going through hard times during the COVID-19 pandemic. Trey, 35, held a #feedyourcitychallenge event in his hometown of Petersburg, VA on June 20, where he helped volunteers hand out thousands of bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need.

Meek wasn’t having Trey’s shade, as he let him know that he’s already donated several hundred thousand dollars to Philly’s schools, sold his Rolls Royce Phantom so that he could give the money to charity, and has helped raise millions for prison and criminal justice reform efforts, an effort near and dear to his heart. “200k to Philadelphia schools…my phantom for less fortunate 400k…. and help raised 50 mill for reform @treysongz dont try me like that!,” Meek responded to Trey’s comment.

View this post on Instagram

So @meekmill apparently felt a way bout me challenging him to the #feedyourcitychallenge. He felt the need to tell me what he’s already done, hopefully not realizing I tapped on him because of how much I know he’s already doing for his community. That’s great you donated fam, that’s great you helping prison reform, that’s great you gave ya phantom. I’m simply trying to bring us together to further help our communities. You offended? Lol you got it! ✊🏾

Trey then copied their dust-up in the comments of Meek’s post and shared it to his own Instagram account in a new post. He praised Meek in the caption, seeming to indicate there had been a misunderstanding. “So @meekmill apparently felt a way bout me challenging him to the #feedyourcitychallenge. He felt the need to tell me what he’s already done, hopefully not realizing I tapped on him because of how much I know he’s already doing for his community,” Trey wrote.

“That’s great you donated fam, that’s great you helping prison reform, that’s great you gave ya phantom. I’m simply trying to bring us together to further help our communities. You offended? Lol you got it!” Trey added. Meek however was upset that Trey decided to “put him on the spot” to make his point.

“Nah I didn’t don’t try to put me on the spot wit that sideways sh*t that’s not even no money like 4 racks…other artist telling artist to donate is dumb just handle ya business! Don’t try to put me on the spot…this behavior kinda of new artist don’t speaking on my money…coulda kept this in the comments bro I just ain’t feel your comment no big deal,” Meek wrote to Trey in the comments of his post.

Trey has actually been tagging fellow rappers to step up to the #feedyourcitychallenge by holding food givaways, and named Meek, as well as rappers Fabolous, Dave East and TrouBle, in Instagram posts, knowing how they do all they can for their communities. Both Meek and Trey are working hard to do what’s best for those in need, so hopefully this is the end of their Instagram spat.

Tekashi 6ix9ine threw the ‘rat’ insult right back at Meek Mill, believing it was hypocritical for Meek (and other rappers) to blast him for snitching. Even Meek’s ex, Nicki Minaj, defended Tekashi on IG Live.

Tekashi 6ix9ine doesn’t think it’s fair he’s constantly dragged as a snitch by the entire rap industry. Right before dropping his “Trollz” music video with Nicki Minaj on June 12, the 24-year-old rapper hopped onto an Instagram Live to try and prove that a number of other big names are okay with associating with other supposed snitches. “I’ma show you how this rap game is full of liars. I’ma show you how this rap game full of rats…I’ma show you how the rap game really works…I’ma expose the rap game right now, ’cause I got facts,” Tekashi declared.

6ix9ine Puts Meek Mill And Jay z On Blast For Hanging With A Snitch

— M2M RECORDS (@m2mrecordings) June 12, 2020

First up was Meek Mill. Tekashi pulled up pictures of the Grammy-nominated rapper leaving a court room with Roc Nation Executive Desiree Perez, and pointed out a paragraph in a New York Daily News Article that read: “Desiree Perez, the wife of longtime Jay Z wingman Juan Perez, became a cooperating witness for the DEA in the 1990s. After her 1994 arrest for possession of 35 kilos of cocaine, Perez struck a deal with the feds, agreeing to wear hidden wires to record her meetings with major cocaine traffickers.”

Aided with this bit of information, Tekashi found it hypocritical that Meek took to Twitter on May 6 to call him a “rat” since the younger rapper “told on” alleged past members of his former gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, who Tekashi testified against in court in Sept. 2019.  “Meek Mill, you can’t pick and choose who you want to call rats…Ever since Nicki left you, you are a nobody…Did you forget who you was? I forgot what Drake said, what did Drake say? ‘Was that your tour or your girl’s tour?,’” Tekashi vented.

Meek also came after Future, who took to his Instagram Story on June 11 to write, “I believe if u hang with a snitch u a snitch and deserve to die.” In response, Tekashi clapped back, “You rap about molly, percs, all this s–t, never got locked up for no drug offense. Ever…You say, if you hang out with a rat, you’re a rat. So what does that make you?” He then grouped Meek and Future into one diss by claiming that he didn’t need another big name artist to top the charts: “Before I became a rat, I did it on my own. Think about that…You and Meek Mill need Drake.”

A post shared by Barbie (@nickiminaj) on Jun 11, 2020 at 8:54pm PDT

Tekashi was feeling particularly vengeful, because he also called out Snoop Dogg, Gunna, and Young Thug. At one point, Nicki even joined for a joint Instagram Live session with Tekashi to give her two cents on the snitching controversy. “I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and integrates with everybody, and if a top executive rat calls one of y’all unsigned rappers right now, y’all signing,” she said.

Meanwhile, people on Twitter haven’t only been concerned with Tekashi’s snitching in court. The rapper has previously pleaded guilty to one felony count of sexual misconduct for “the use of a child in a sexual performance” in 2015, which is regularly brought up as Tekashi has returned to releasing music since his early release from prison in April of 2020.

I’ma keep runnin’ these bands up (Yeah)

[Bridge: Gucci Mane & Meek Mill]
Bands up, bands up, bands up, bands up
Bands up, bands up, bands up, bands up
All these diamonds on me make me handsome
Shawty fuckin’ on me like a dancer
Bands up, bands up, bands up, bands up
Bands up, bands up, bands up, bands up
Went from a trapper to rapper
Damn, bitch, how you goin’ backwards? (Hah)

[Outro: Gucci Mane]
Wow, I thought I was proud of you, but I take it back
You know what I’m saying?
Where your whips at? Where your titles at? Huh?
Where your shooters at?
Thought you had a plug, but you had a scrub

Meek Mill – 24/7 Lyrics

[Intro: Beyoncé]
End, that’s what I found out

[Chorus: Ella Mai]
Tell me how you want it, yeah
Call me and I’m on my way
Tell me that you need me, yeah
I’ll give it to you night and day
I’m talkin’ ’bout Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday, Sunday
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
All day, 24/7
Yeah, all day, 24/7

[Verse 1: Meek Mill]
Lovin’ the shit out you, fuckin’ the shit out you
For seven days straight, and now I can’t even live without you
And if we ever broke up, I won’t have a kid without you
You forever in my heart, I won’t forget about you
I be crushin’ you on Monday like it’s Wednesday
You pressed about that nigga, what your friends say?
Oh, G63 is what your Benz say
I’m so happy you ain’t listen to your friends, babe
You can tell me how you want it, how you need it, I don’t mind
Need you right here by my side, ’cause out of sight is out of mind
And out of spite you hit decline, but I was hype
I hit your line a few more times than you hit back I’m gon’ respond

[Chorus: Ella Mai & Meek Mill]
Tell me how you want it, yeah
Call me and I’m on my way (On my way, on my way, woah)
Tell me that you need me, yeah
I’ll give it to you night and day (Night and day, night and day, go)
I’m talkin’ ’bout Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday, Sunday
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
All day, 24/7
Yeah, all day, 24/7

[Verse 2: Meek Mill]
Uh, yeah
You be throwin’ that shit back like it’s a Thursday
I be treatin’ you like everyday your birthday
Them hoes ain’t fuckin’ with you on your worst day
I got you on a new level like what Ferg say
When you fell down, I pick you up
Put on your crown, and lift you up
I put a rock all on your finger, so much ice could push a puck
Heard they feelings ’bout you, baby, tell them hoes I wish ’em luck
Talkin’ relationship goals, this could be us, yuh
24/7, what’s the 411?
When you see me kneel like Kaepernick, call a reverend
See, I got a milli’ in a stash for a weddin’
If you ready, let me know, ’cause it’s whatever

[Bridge: Ella Mai]
But I know you in the worst way
Yeah, our anniversary
‘Bout to suit up on my birthday
‘Cause I know they keep you thirsty
Ain’t no playin’, this is us
Boy, be gentle, ain’t no rush
365, you’re the only one I trust
No, I can’t get enough
And all my ladies, if you feel me, help me sing it out
Yeah, yeah
I’m talkin’ ’bout Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday

[Chorus: Ella Mai]
Tell me how you want it, yeah
Call me and I’m on my way
Tell me that you need me, yeah
I’ll give it to you night and day
I’m talkin’ ’bout Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday, Sunday
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
All day, 24/7
Yeah, all day, 24/7
Oh yeah

[Outro: Beyoncé]
What I found out-
I took a vow that from now on
I’m gonna be my own best

Meek Mill – 100 Summers Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I gotta place my rearview when I pull outta the parking lot
‘Cause where I’m from all you niggas die in the parking lot
Get ten seconds on the news, they barely talk about us
You gotta watch the way you move, they’ll make a target outcha
Oh, the Reaper comin’, gotta keep it on me
I told my momma I won’t leave her lonely
Too much drama, get these demons off me
We still at war, I got that thing in arm reach
Fuck what happened
That’s what my momma told me when they caught me with the ratchet
Rather see me in a cell than see me in a casket
I show love to all my fans ’cause I prevail through all this rapping, whoa
I got homies that died young and I miss ’em, tell the truth
I feel like I let ’em down and that’s word to Lil Snupe
I put diamonds in yo face so when they see me they see you
Know they’d kill me in my hood, but I just keep on comin’ through
Still wit’ it, the graveyard throwing a party for all the real niggas
They invited me, but shit I got a meal ticket
When everybody want me to get out we gotta deal wit’ it

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I did some things that I had to regret
I say some things I could never forget
The reaper took my homie’s soul, feel like he after me next, oh Lord

I just wanna ball hunnid summers
Seen too many of my dogs goin’ under
How I made it out alive sometimes I wonder
We been goin’ to war since Contra

[Verse 2]
Grew up ’round them monsters they’ll shoot you in your face
Ain’t used to showin’ no love that’s ’cause we grew up in that hate
Live by the sword, die by the sword way
Tried to make it home, they shot him in the hallway
Tears on my face feel like I be cryin’ blood
Momma won’t see her son again, we call that blind love
I can’t trust these niggas, they’ll get you lined up
Tried to rob me, he got smoke for a Rollie, his time’s up
You gon’ be a killer or a homicide
Make your momma shed a tear before my momma cry
Was young and great, but they still smoked him at the waffle spot
Only God can judge me when when I clutch and let that chopper rock
Feel this shit
I wrote this in blood, this some of my realest shit
They say if he rich as fuck, why he movin’ so militant
‘Cause in my hood it ain’t no love and I know what I’m dealin’ wit’

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I did some things that I had to regret
I say some things I could never forget
The reaper took my homie’s soul, feel like he after me next, oh Lord

I just wanna ball hunnid summers
Seen too many of my dogs goin’ under
How I made it out alive sometimes I wonder
We been goin’ to war since Contra

Oh, yeah yeah

Meek Mill – Cold Hearted ll Lyrics

[Intro: The Weeknd]
Woah, don’t you, baby, hey
It won’t matter, baby
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know?
Woah, don’t you, baby, hey
It won’t matter, baby
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know?

Uh, make it out the hood, they say you Hollywood
How dare you niggas tell me that I got it good
Gotta check and treat these niggas like I’m Robin Hood
When it was time to stand up for me, see, nobody stood
And I was lookin’ at you niggas, all the ones I fed
Had me grindin’ all them nights you was going to bed
And if I think I owe you something, nigga gon’ ahead
Treat you like I never knew you, put it on your head
And I got Papi on my line like, ‘When you comin’ home?’
My mama see it in my face, she know that somethin’ wrong
Bodies droppin’ in my city all summer long
Out on bail but I still gotta keep somethin’ on
‘Cause I can’t let ’em take my life, you might get left you make that right
When he got left it wasn’t right, but he was tryna live that life
I call up Coon to book that jet, we like three deep, we take that flight
Used to land in California to play that studio all night, we stayin’ down
For the love of them millions, ain’t layin’ down
Left you in the hood, what you sayin’ now?
And niggas wanted the smoke, you said, “Stand down,” uh
Cold heart, never get cold feet when the pressure come
It was beef, I had to tell niggas, “You better come”
Sister said they gettin’ over, it’s like you lettin’ them
Some shit I had to learn my lesson from, uh
Checkin’ in, checkin’ out, I just had to check you out
2012, it was 50 niggas when I’m steppin’ out
Forgot the time you asked me for a check and I ain’t lived it out
I ain’t even know you was upset, this what this shit about?
A green piece of paper can turn you to a hater
When you can’t bring up one time you returned me for a favor
So I play these niggas real close, talkin’ closer than my neighbors
‘Cause I know the signs when niggas switch sides, catch them vapors

Used to be my dawg, you was in my left titty
Scream, “Ride or die,” I thought you would ride with me
Found out you was jealous, you wouldn’t even grind with me
And when I copped the 6 you wanted the 550
Used to be my dawg, you was in my left titty
Scream, “Ride or die,” I thought you would ride with me
Found out you was jealous, you wouldn’t even grind with me
And when I copped the 6 you wanted the 550

See, I look at it like this
What I’m supposed to spend a thousand nights in the studio rappin’ my lights out?
Goin’ city to city, can’t take my son to school when I want to, can’t see my mama, my family when I want to
They give a nigga my money, they act like he hangin’ with me
I ain’t ever been sweet
Far as I can remember, every time I went to jail I had to stand up in that bitch by myself
I ain’t never even think about a nigga callin’ my baby mama to pick my son up to take him to the movies
Go play basketball while I’m doin’ this time in the cell
Actin’ like I owe you somethin’
See, it hurt my heart to see some of my closest friends turn their back on me about that attention needle
Or a green piece of paper with a slave master on the front of that shit
I used to hear niggas, niggas that I was feedin’, I heard ’em whisperin’, “Meek Mill finished”
I was like, “And damn, I was feedin’ you, bro”
All I did was keep grindin’
Through the storm, nigga, I’m like Derrick Rose on a 50-point night on a daily basis, nigga
For the love of the millions, royalty over loyalty, never get it confused
I got real friends and family that’ll never turn their back on me for the love of the money
I got a homie that’s doin’ life—he can’t offer me no money, he can’t offer me nothin’ but a friendship and a relationship
I talk to him seven days a week
So don’t come to me talkin’ ’bout no money shit, nigga
So if you feel some type of way about my money, we goin’ to the furthest extent to protect that plate that goes in front of my son on the table, nigga
One love to all my family and friends that stayed down through all the madness
While I had to sacrifice and put it all on the line
One time for my mom and sister that never changed on me, even before I had money
Ride or die, no matter what
Dreamchasers for life, you dig?
Uh, I told niggas stop askin’ me where niggas at
If you don’t see ’em in the pictures with me, that mean they faded away
I got my niggas out dissin’ myself, fun, we love each other, it’s all love but everybody can’t make it
Niggas wanna burn a bridge and expect you to send a yacht, huh? Where they do that at?

Meek Mill Weighs In On His Song Becoming Eagles Super Bowl Anthem

When the Philadelphia Eagles secured their spot in the Super Bowl, Meek Mill song “Dreams & Nightmares” became an instant team anthem.

The Philly rapper, who is currently serving 2-4 years in prison, has shared his reaction from behind bars after watching the players turn up to his classic single. The players were turning up to the single from on the field to the locker room and even in the parking lot. You can get a glimpse of what went down in the video clips below.

“It really lifted my spirit to hear the team rally around my songs because that’s why I make music–to inspire others and bring people together,” Meek Mill said in a statement via Bleacher Report. “The Eagles have also motivated me with the way they’ve overcome tough situations and injuries to succeed this year.”

The theme of the song fits right into the narrative of how Philadelphia Eagles overcome all odds to make it to the Super Bowl. “I used to pray for times like this, to rhyme like this / So I had to grind like that to shine like this / In a matter of time I spent on some locked up sh** / In the back of the paddy wagon, cuffs locked on wrists / See my dreams unfold, nightmares come true,” Meek Mill raps.

Meek Mill himself has overcome insurmountable odds to become one of the most recognized names in hip hop today. The MMG rapper has been behind bars since November last year for probation violation. He was sentenced to up to 4 years in prison and that sparked a national outcry with some celebrities like JAY-Z calling the judge sentencing heavy-handed. Meek’s legal team has been actively trying to secure his freedom but so far the judge has not budged and even denied a new request for bail.

#Repost @angiemartinez i love this!!! and yo, this is exactly why u should never write @meekmill off. He’s a special one man. when u can make music that connects to ppl’s soul like this… its bigger than the bullshit. #FreeMeek lotta ppl out here prayin for u kid. ?? oh…. and congrats #Philly! ??

Nicki Minaj Decline Safaree Samuels Reunion Calls Him Ungrateful [Exclusive]

Nicki Minaj maybe single again but that doesn’t mean she is ready to hook up back with her ex Safaree Samuels.

The Love and Hip Hop star has been shooting his shots lately in an attempt to get her back or perhaps he just wants to get her attention. Last week he publicly told his fans during a performance that he misses her. Given their twelve years of history, you would think that it would be much easier for them to rekindle their old flame, but it’s quite the opposite. We’re told Nicki sees him as an ungrateful human being whom she wants to stay as far away from as possible.

Sources close to the Trinidadian rapper told DancehallHipHop that there is a lot of bitterness between the two, particularly on Nicki Minaj part. She felt like he never gave her a chance to make things right when he abruptly got up and walk out leave her. She also felt like his actions since their breakup such as his lawsuit against her and working with her enemies pretty much killed all hopes of any reunion. “The lawsuit was the ultimate betrayal in her eyes because he wasn’t just a lawsuit to her, it was also like a shakedown and then on top of that he tried to cast a cloud over her career about writing her lyrics,” sources said. “All those interviews he did talking bad about her and now he expects her to just forget about them and welcome him back. It’s like now he missing that old lifestyle of the private jets, jewelry, and fast cars.”

Although Nicki felt like Safaree betrayed her post their breakup, she isn’t at all innocent in that department because who can forget all those times she and Meek Mill taunt Safaree on Twitter. She even did a full album about their breakup. They both went on and dated other people, although SB dated a bunch of women since then. For her part, Nicki hooked up with Meek Mill right after her relationship with Samuels ended, in fact, SB publicly says Meek was the main reason their relationship ended because he rated him out about cheating on her. Samuels maybe right, they are both been unlucky in love. Even Maury Povich thinks that they should get back together or at least give it another shot.

“It’s not even about how many women he dated since then, they weren’t together so she doesn’t care about that, it’s much more about how messy he was with all the interviews and lawsuit crap,” our source revealed. Of all the things happening behind the scenes between Nicki Minaj and Safaree, one thing for sure did take place, he did reaches out to her recently and got rejected. “Well he knows her better than most people, she is a firecracker so he can’t be all that surprised if she rejected him in a very cringe-worthy way, I still laugh about it,” our insider said. “Yes he did reach out and I don’t think he will stop because he told their mutual friends that he wants her back. Whether or not she will take him back, I doubt it, but you just never know.”

Earlier this month, we reported that Nicki Minaj and Nas mutually ended their relationship and Safaree was right there reminding her that they have both been unlucky with love since their split. While he didn’t explicitly expresses his wish to rekindle their relationship, his gesture made it pretty clear he was on a mission.

“No they aren’t together and was never really seriously together, to begin with, the media just overblown things as usual,” sources said. “Living on different coasts hundreds of miles apart made it impossible to sustain a relationship and they are both very busy individuals.”

There are some other stuffs that may complicate things for him. Safaree is still cast on Love and Hip Hop and a few other reality TV shows. How would that play out with Nicki Minaj status as the biggest female rapper on the planet? You can already picture the headlines, “Nicki Minaj dating a reality TV star.” The only difference it would make in this case is that they have 12 years of history together.

Meek Mill and YFN Lucci New Song “Street Kings” Is Fire

Meek Mill and YFN Lucci new single “Street Kings” is straight fire.

The duo drop the collaboration over the weekend and it quickly became a trending topic in hip hop. One of the reasons why this song resonate so much is because of Meek Mill’s incarceration and fans are sending a message to the system to set him free. “Shout out my ni**as that stayed down, That’s why they still with me I came up, Got some money and look what they sayin’ now, Bet they tell you them ni**as, they stand up, I manned up,” Meek raps.

Both Meek and YFN Lucci pays homage to their friends and perhaps fans who are currently incarcerated by a justice system widely seen as bias against African American men. The single “Street Kings” will be featured on YFN upcoming album Ray Ray from Summerhill. The project is expected to arrive sometime this year.

Meek Mill has been incarcerated since November last year when he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for probation violation. His sentencing sparked widespread criticism from fans and his celebrity peers who accused the judge of using heavy handed tactics to send the Philly rapper to prison. His attorneys have also been actively fighting for his freedom, but so far they have been hitting roadblocks.

How Drake Cleverly Ended Meek Mill Beef On “Family Feud” With Lil Wayne

Drake may have just made a bold move to end his beef with Meek Mill.

The rappers have been beefing since 2015 when the Philly rapper fired off some tweets about Drizzy using a ghostwriter to pen his raps. Little did he know what was to come after that rant on social media. We’ve since learned that he did it because Nicki Minaj broke up with him and he wanted to get back at her. Of course, Drake emerged the victor from that feud using two fiery diss track including the Grammy-nominated single “Back To Back” and it took Meek days to respond with a diss track that earned him even more Ls.

Since then, both Drake and Meek Mill did their own interviews where they both admitted that they might never be friends ever again and their feud may just turn out to be forever. On Friday, Lil Wayne drops his new collaboration with his protege, “Family Feud,” and Drizzy used the opportunity to extend an olive branch of the sort to his foe who is now incarcerated on a 2-4 years prison sentence for probation violation.

“I need my paper long like “A Milli” verse, Or, too long like a sentence from a Philly judge, F**k is the point in all the beefing when we really blood, Nobody wins when the family feuds, ni**a,” Drake raps in his lengthy freestyle verse. In another line, he hinted that he isn’t really calling a truce, but nevertheless, he is sympathetic towards Meek Mill over his unjust sentencing. “But this isn’t all about calling truce, I’m still dishing out verbal abuse, That sh*t could get re-introduced if somebody got something they urging to prove, ni**a,” he continues to rap.

Since the height of their beef in the summer of 2015, both rappers have been taking subliminal shots at each other in their songs, but this is the first clear signs that they could make peace. Drake also took a jab at Donald Trump on the “Family Feud (Remix)” as well as stated that he wishes he could fix Lil Wayne beef with Cash Money/Universal Music. “Ayy, tell me if TD bank is approving loans, I’m thinking about paying Wayne what Universal owes, My ni**a spend a lifetime going platinum and gold,” Drizzy raps.

Do you think Drake and Meek Mill will make peace anytime soon?

Meek Mill & Young Thug Debuts “We Ball” Video Dedicated To Lil Snupe: Watch

Meek Mill and Young Thug debuts the long awaited video for their collaborative single “We Ball.”

Despite his incarceration, Meek continues to put out new material in an effort to maintain his relevance while he continues his legal battle to secure his freedom. One of his biggest singles this year is “We Ball” which is a cut off his new album Wins & Losses featuring Young Thug. The video has been a long time coming but was hampered by his recent legal issues which took his focus off his music.

The cut is dedicated to Meek Mill’s fallen friend Lil Snupe. In the video, the Dreamchasers rapper held up a Lil Snupe chain while he raps his verse at a funeral in a cemetery. “When they killed my ni**a Snupe, I seen my young ni**a / In the casket he ain’t even have no blood in him / Prolly the reason why I keep taking these drugs quicker / Ain’t got no patience for these motherf***in’ f**k ni**as / I watch everybody change, they thought I lost it,” Meek raps.

Later in the video he linked up with Young Thug in a church with a screen showing flashes of people from several different faiths praying for their dead love ones. At the end of the clip, the hashtag #JusticeForMeek flashes on the screen just like his previous video.

Meek Mill Request For Bail Denied By Judge

Meek Mill remains in prison after his emergency bail request was denied by a judge.

The “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper got the bad news on Monday that his bail was denied by his probation judge Genece Brinkley, according to TMZ. Last month, the Pennsylvania Superior Court rejected Meek Mill’s bail petition and ordered the presiding judge to make a formal ruling on his emergency bail request. There has also been widespread condemnation for the judge who handed down the heavy-handed sentencing last month, but she is unmoved.

Judge Brinkley argued in her legal docs that Meek Mill is a danger to the community and is a flight risk. She also suggest that his urine test may have been tainted because he may have flushed his system with “Fast Flush.” His attorney is once again furious with the judges ruling and vows to continue to fight for the rapper’s freedom. His lead attorney, Joe Tacopina, says that the judge’s ruling “continues her long pattern of unfair treatment.” He also indicate the he will be appealing the judges decision not to grant his client bail.

Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, is currently serving 2-4 years in a state prison for probation violation. He has been getting a lot of support from the general public and fellow celebrities including his rival Drake and The Game, as well as, other celebrities closer to him like JAY-Z and Rick Ross. Reverend Al Sharpton and Colin Kaepernick have also thrown their support behind the #FreeMeekMill movemnet.

JAY-Z penned an op-ed in the New York Times last month where he blast the justice system for its years of mass incarceration of young black men. He argued that Meek Mill is just the latest victim of a system notorious for oppressing people of color. Last weekend, Hov played Meek’s single “Dreams & Nighmares” at his “4:44 Tour” stop in Philadelphia. He also spoke briefly about the Maybach Music Group rapper’s incarceration.

Meek Mill & JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Sued By Family Of Slain Concertgoer

Meek Mill and JAY-Z’s Roc Nation are being sued by the family of a concertgoer who was murdered.

Meek Mill has more legal troubles on his hand after the family of a man who was slain at one of his concerts filed a lawsuit against him and Roc Nation. The incarcerated rapper is currently fighting for his freedom after being sent to prison for 2-4 years for probation violation. Even if he manages to secure his release, his legal troubles are far from over.

The family of Jaquan Graves filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Meek Mill and Roc Nation, TMZ reported. The Philly rapper is currently signed to Roc Nation on a management contract.

Graves was shot and killed in the parking lot outside of the venue at one of Meek Mill’s concerts last year in Connecticut. He had just left the venue when suddenly gunfire erupted sending people running for their lives. The suite claims that Meek and RN “allowed thugs to remain on the premises, after exhibiting disorderly, disruptive, argumentative, angry and/or agitated behavior toward patrons.”

Turns out that this is the second lawsuit that Meek Mill is facing from the shooting incident because a second person also died. That victim’s family also filed a lawsuit a few weeks ago where they requested in their suit that the Dreamchasers rapper submitted a written response under oath about their questions about the incident within 30 days. That suit accused Meek of harboring thugs at his concerts making the venue unsafe for concertgoers. It’s unclear if the Philly rapper responded to the lawsuit. His lawyers are currently busy working overtime trying to get him out of prison.

He also denied having any involvement in the shooting incident and argued that the claims made against him in the lawsuit is filled with racist undertones and stereotypes.

Meek Mill Debut New Romantic Video “Fall Thru”

Meek Mill is celebrating his legal victory with a new music video for “Fall Thru.”

The Maybach Music Group rapper received some good news yesterday when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Judge Genece Brinkley should make a ruling on his bail application. The video starts out with Meek Mill calling up his girl and telling her to “Fall Thru” when she is done working. The MC then take us on a trip down memory lane from when he and his ride or die chick just met.

“I was locked up, I remember when I hit you / Used to write me back every letter that I sent you / You wasn’t my girl but you used to pretend to / When I came home, let me beat it instrumental / Lame left you scarred so I had to reinvent you,” Meek raps. Some fans thinks that he is rapping about his now ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj.

There is also a scene where Meek Mill popped a wheelie before pulling up to see his girl. Earlier this year he was arrested in New York City for popping a wheelie in the street and that formed part of his now legal troubles involving probation violation that he is serving 2-4 years in prison for. At the end of the video #Justice4Meek came onto the screen.

Meek Mill is currently fighting for his freedom midst a shocking 4 years prison sentence for probation violation. The judge in his probation case, Genece Brinkley, has been under heavy criticisms from all quarters of the country since handing down the sentencing earlier this month. Just this week, Civil Rights Activist Reverend Al Sharpton and rap legend JAY-Z spoke out about the unjust system of mass incarceration of young African American males. Despite the prison term, Meek is remaining positive, his representatives said. Comment on the video below.

Meek Mill May Get A Break Judge Ordered To Make Bail Ruling

Meek Mill may get some reprieve as pressure mounts on the judge to make a ruling on his bail petition.

The Dreamchasers rapper, whose real name is Robert Williams, is currently serving 2-4 years in a Pennsylvania prison for probation violation. The sentencing handed down by Judge Genece Brinkley has been widely criticized by the rapper’s fans and his celebrity peers including JAY-Z and civil rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton. Meek’s attorneys have been fighting for his release since his sentence commence earlier this month and so far there is no breakthrough.

Meek Mill’s attorney filed a motion in the Pennsylvania Superior Court to have him release on an emergency bail. The High Court denied the motion but ruled that judge Genece Brinkley should hand down a ruling on his emergency bail application. Meek’s representative, Jordan Siev, told TMZ that the ruling a legal victory for the rapper and vowed to continue fighting for his freedom. “We’re pleased that the Superior Court took immediate action to direct the Court of Common Pleas to decide on the application for bail without further delay,” Siev said. “We remain hopeful that Mr. Williams will be promptly released on bail.”

A bail hearing was originally scheduled for November 27th but was canceled by Judge Brinkley canceled who said it was set due to an administrative error. Meek Mill’s legal team also filed a motion to have her removed from the case arguing that she is tainted and carrying a grudge for the MC who is from the same part of Philly that she is from. If the judge denied his emergency bail then that narrows down Meek Mill’s legal option to get out of prison and will likely have to serve his 2+ years before ever tasting freedom again.

Prior to his prison stint, the MMG rapper was working on his upcoming album DC5.

Meek Mill Out Solitary Confinement Bail Hearing Canceled

Meek Mill was relieved from solitary confinement but his planned bail hearing was revoked.

Earlier this week, Meek Mill’s attorney filed legal docs asking for the rapper to be taken out of solitary confinement and place with the general population of the local state prison he is being housed. In his legal docs, the rapper argued that he is in solitary confinement for 23 hours per day and that can be detrimental his human psyche and bad for his creativity and active lifestyle. Authorities say they put him there to protect him from the rest of the prison inmates, but Meek says that he will be respected because of his celebrity status and his work in the community.

Meek Mill was moved subsequently moved to another prison all entirely, TMZ reported. In that undisclosed prison, he was placed with the general population so that he can workout and exercise his creativity (writing music). The Philly rapper also has his own cell so he is not sharing a cell with another inmate who would want to do him harm. In that prison, Meek will also be assigned a job to do that usually pats gun 19 cents an hour. That job can be something like cleaning prison cells and cooking in the kitchen.

Meek Mill bail hearing canceled done in error.

The Dreamchasers rapper is now disappointed that his planned bail hearing has been canceled because it was done in error. On Friday, news surfaced online that Meek Mill will be in front of Judge Genece Brinkley for a bail hearing set for November 27.

According to Billboard, the bail hearing was “canceled due to an administrative error.” Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, confirmed late yesterday that the bail hearing has been canceled, but there is no word yet on when or if he will get another bail hearing. Tocopina has filed a motion to have Judge Brinkley recused from further ruling on the case and he wants his client’s probation revoked and for him to be released from prison.

The Philadelphia District Attorney supports the bail motion and also recommended no jail time for the rapper in the first place, but the judge ignored that recommendation and handed down a 2-4 years prison sentence.

Meek Mill Gets New Bail Hearing Set For November 27

Meek Mill will have a chance to be released from prison when he appeared at his new bail hearing set for November 27.

Lawyers representing the Philly rapper have been working overtime to find even the smallest of crack in the justice system that would get him free from prison. If you have been living under a rock for the past two weeks, Meek Mill is currently in a Pennsylvania state prison serving 2-4 years for probation violation. But the case drew so much scrutiny and widespread outcry that from some big-name celebrities like JAY-Z.

Come November 27, Meek Mill will again be in front of judge Judge Genece Brinkley for a bail hearing and no one knows yet where things will go from there but the fact that he is getting a bail hearing while he is serving a sentence in prison likely means that the judge had some time to think about her heavy-handed sentencing and want to right her wrong.

Meek Mill has been on probation for years following his drug and gun conviction in 2008. Earlier this year, he was arrested in St Louis for allegedly getting into a fight at the airport. He later told authorities that he was simply breaking up a fight. He was arrested again in August In New York City for popping a wheelie on a dirt bike while shooting a music video. Cops say they arrested him for reckless endangerment among other traffic violations.

Both cases were later dismissed after he took a plea deal and was given just community service. JAY-Z, who signed Meek Mill to his management company Roc Nation, penned an opinion piece in the New York Times today where he spoke out in depth about the justice system preying on black people for years.

“The specifics of Meek’s case inspired me to write this,” JAY-Z wrote. “But it’s time we highlight the random ways people trapped in the criminal justice system are punished every day. The system treats them as a danger to society, consistently monitors and follows them for any minor infraction — with the goal of putting them back in prison.”

The rap legend argued that tax payers will have to spend thousands of dollars to keep Meek Mill in prison for the duration of his sentence just for a small crime that could see him doing community service and giving back in some way to his community. “Taxpayers in Philadelphia, Meek Mill’s hometown, will have to spend tens of thousands of dollars each year to keep him locked up, and I bet none of them would tell you his imprisonment is helping to keep them safer,” Hov wrote.

Meek Mill Wants To Be Taken Out Solitary Confinement Files Doc

Meek Mill wants to end his solitary confinement tenor and be placed with the general population at the prison he is currently housed.

Attorneys representing the Philly rapper filed legal docs this week requesting that he removed from solitary confinement because it can be detrimental to his mental health. According to his legal team, he is being mistreated because of his celebrity status and that is just not fair, TMZ reported. Officials say his solitary confinement is for his own safety.

Meek Mill is currently placed in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day and officials are saying that its the only way to protect him other inmates who intend to do him harm. But his attorneys are arguing that being in confinement for that amount of time has proven to be detrimental to the human psyche. Lawyers also argued in their legal docs that confinement is affecting his creativity because he has been writing and exercising and this is hindering him from effectively doing both.

As for the argument about his safety from other inmates, Meek’s attorney says that he will be respected being a part of the general prison population because of his celebrity status and past work in his community such as his willingness to give back. Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in a state prison for violating his probation by getting arrested twice this year. Although both cases were eventually dismissed, a judge still rules that he must go to prison for probation violation. The ruling and sentencing sparked outraged from the rapper’s fans and some of his celebrity peers who called the sentencing heavy-handed.

Meek Mill’s attorney says that the judge has been carrying an age-old grudge against the rapper because he once refused to remake a Boys II Men song that she asked him to do and also refused to work with a local artist manager that she has been linked to. Meek turned himself into authorities on November 8 when he started his sentencing.

Meek Mill Attorney Files Motion To Toss Out Sentence

Meek Mill‘s attorney has filed legal docs for his controversial sentence to be thrown out.

Since Judge Genece Brinkley handed down the sentencing last week, the Philly rapper has been fighting for his freedom and his supporters have been outraged about it. TMZ reported that Meek Mill does not just want his sentencing to be overturned, he also wants his entire probation to be terminated. In his legal docs, Meek is arguing that the 2-4 years sentence is tainted by a vendetta that the judge has against him. The rapper also filed a motion to have the judge booted from the case.

The Dreamchaser rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, also argued in both motion that the two arrests earlier this year that the artist was found guilty of violating his probation were all dismissed from his record. His probation officer also testified that he has responded well to probation. Regarding getting his probation be terminated all entire, that will be a long shot, but the rapper argued that since going on probation, he has matured, become a responsible citizen and a father, and also acquired a profession as a musician. He also wants a judge to grant him time served and release him from prison.

Meek Mill is currently serving 2-4 years in a state prison for probation violation. According to the judge, the MC violated the terms of his probation by getting arrested twice this year. One time in March when he allegedly got into a scuffle at the St. Louis airport, which he says he was breaking up a fight, and another time during the summer when he was arrested in New York City for popping a wheelie in the street on his motorcycle. Meek Mill previously violated his probation in 2015 and was placed on three months house arrest for it.

The prosecutor and his probation officer both recommend no prison time for this case, but the judge ignored their recommendation and sentenced him to 2-4 years. His attorney argued that the judge is carrying an old grudge and even once okayed him to work with a convicted felon, Charlie Mack.

Meek Mill Case Judge Okayed Him To Work With Convicted Felon

Meek Mill probation violation case gets more bizarre the more we learn about it.

Not only is the judge under investigation for corruption, but she also gave the rapper the okay to do business with a convicted felon, Charlie Mack, TMZ reported. Under the rules of his probation, Meek Mill cannot be around or do business with anyone who has been convicted of a crime. This means that judge Genece Brinkley broke protocol when she allowed the Philly rapper to do business with Mack who pled guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine back in 1997. He was sentenced to five years for the crime.

Thee are some reports claiming that Justice Brinkley tried to pressure Meek Mill to leave Roc Nation and sign with Charlie Mack as his manager. The rapper refused and she told him to “suit yourself.” The FBI is currently investigating whether or not she used her position of power to steer business towards Mack. Some excerpts from the January 2014 transcript revealed that Meek’s attorney at the time, Gary Silver, and prosecutor Noel DeSantis, going back and forth about the terms of his probation and whether or not he should be around convicted felons.

In the end, it was agreed upon and Meek signed parole documents that he cannot be around anyone who is convicted. But the judge made this one exception for him to do business with Charlie Mack. “Your Honor, [Meek]’s not supposed to be around anyone who is under supervision and be around known felons,” prosecutor Noel DeSantis said in court. “Your Honor made an exception back in the day with the management to Mr. Mac. That was the only exception that you made.”

Last week, Judge Genece Brinkley ruled that Meek Mill violated his probation this year when he was arrested twice. She sentenced him to serve 2-4 years in a state prison. The harsh sentence angered many of Meek’s supporters including some of his celebrity peers like Kevin Hart and JAY-Z.

Meek Mill Considering Applying for Pardon.

This might be a long shot, but Meek Mill and his attorneys are considering applying for a pardon to the governor of Pennsylvania. The judge is under corruption scrutiny but that may not help him get out of jail anytime soon, as far as we see it, he may end up spending the next 2-4 years behind bars.

There is no guarantee that he will even get an approval for a pardon before his sentence ends since it can take up to three years just to get approval. There is currently a petition calling for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to take a look at Meek Mill’s case and pardon him. The petition already has 300,000 plus signatures but there is one problem. The governor’s office is saying that he does not have the pardoning power to overrule the judge in the case.

“When she requests he leaves his current management Roc Nation—which is one of the most important management companies in the world—and goes back to a local Philadelphia guy who has a spotted past because she had a personal relationship with him as manager, again, she’s doing something that a judge would never be doing, having a personal interest,” Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, told Billboard.
