Nicki Minaj absolutely slayed the Marc Jacobs Heaven spring 2022 campaign when she showed off her incredible figure in a tiny, skintight white crop top with a pair of high-waisted black underwear shorts. The 39-year-old rapper styled her look with a pair of fishnet tights and knee-high, cutout platform boots.

While we loved Nicki’s outfit, it was her long, neon yellow hair that stole the show. Her hair was down and pin-straight with short front bangs covering her forehead. She topped her look off with a metallic pink smokey eye, thick cat eyeliner, and a hot pink metallic lip.

In another photo from the shoot, Nicki switched up her hairstyle yet again, this time, she rocked a super short black bob with tiny front bangs. Her hair was down sleek and straight with cool hot pink highlights on both sides.

Britney Spears, 40, is continuing to enjoy her freedom by doing one of the things she does best: dance! The singer shared a new eye-catching video of herself having fun in Maui on Feb. 5 as she showed off her figure in a yellow crop top and black shorts. Her blonde and purple tresses were pulled back with some strands hanging down and she looked as happy as could be.

Just one hour after she shared her outside dancing video, the “…Baby One More Time” crooner shared another video of herself flaunting moves while at a gym. She was in the same outfit and walked on a treadmill, lifted weights, and did other workout moves with equipment as Nicki Minaj blurted out the lyrics to “Bang Bang,” the song she played over the clip.

Is this the return of the Queen? Nicki Minaj teams up Lil Baby to ask ‘Do We Have A Problem’ in a sizzling, action-packed music video.

After an uncharacteristic silence from Nicki Minaj, the prolific rapper returned to the music scene on “Pink Friday” (Feb. 4), kicking off what many Barbz hope will be the start of her comeback. Nicki, 39, teamed with Lil Baby for “Do We Have A Problem?”, a new single and 9-minute music video that featured a dramatic opener where Nicki was set up as an undercover agent trying to dig up dirt on a mob outfit.

During an auction where she’s been prompted to catch Lil Baby (aka “The Black Death) and the men he’s working with, Nicki flips on the police (of course in a stylishly sexy outfit and chic blonde bob) and runs off with the rapper to Cuba. What happens next? You’ll have to watch the epic video premiere to see for yourself!

Nicki Minaj had an unusually quiet 2021 – music-wise, at least. The “Chun-Li” rapper appeared on a remix of Bia’s “Whole Lotta Money” and “Boyz,” the debut solo single from Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson. In terms of “new” Nicki music, the closest that the Barbz got to was the re-issue of her 2009 mixtake, Beam Me Up Scotty, which featured three new songs, including “Seeing Green,” a collab with Drake and Lil Wayne.

That output is even more stark when compared to what she did in 2020. That year, Nicki managed to go No. 1 with 6ix9ine (“Trollz”), team with YoungBoy Never Broke Again for Mike Will Made It’s second song (“What That Speed Bout!?”), and lend her verses to songs by Megan Trainor (“Nice To Meet Ya”), Doja Cat (“Say So (Remix)”), ASAP Ferg (“Move Ya Hips”), Ty Dolla Sign (“Expensive”), and Sada Baby (“Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix)”). She also did most of that while pregnant with her and Kenneth Petty’s first child, Papa Bear. It remains to be seen if this new collab with Lil Baby signals that the highly-anticipated follow-up to Nick’s 2018 album, Queen, will arrive this year.

Sorry to all the Barbz out there, but Nicki Minaj confirmed she’s not interested in collaborating with City Girls. She insinuated the duo has talked bad about her publicly before.

For years, Nicki Minaj‘s die-hard fans (called “The Barbz”) have been hoping the legendary rapper collaborates with Yung Miami and JT of the hip hop duo City Girls. But in her Feb. 2 interview with The Morning Hustle hosts Lore’l and HeadKrack, Nicki, 39, all but confirmed the collaboration will never be happening. When she was asked about possibly working with City Girls, the “Super Bass” songstress dramatically flashed her eyes back and forth.

“Well, I don’t know,” Nicki said. “What I will say is that, a few years ago I saw a video of them and I asked someone on their team at the time about them. I was thinking about jumping on a record, one of their records that was out at the time. And then, social media happened.”

Nicki continued, “You know, people will say something about someone, like an artist. Whether they tweet it or say it. Or whether it gets pulled out of them in an interview or something like that. Whenever you post something on the internet, it’s there forever. Whenever you say something in an interview, it’s there forever.” The “Starships” hitmaker then noted that “an artist is a human being forever,” before elaborating on why she’s not working with City Girls. “If I was about to go out to dinner with you tonight, and then I get something that says, ‘Yo, she don’t really f*ck with you like that. She was saying this and she don’t really like you.’ I’m not gonna go out to dinner with you anymore, because now I know that I like you but you don’t really like me,” she explained. “That’s just a human way to feel if you hear somebody was saying things about you. Not just one thing, but repeated things. Repeated tweets for years. Not just one thing.”

Nicki went on to say that while she’s “let go” of the alleged smack-talking that’s come from the fellow rappers, she still has no plans to make music with them. “Why would I work with someone that doesn’t like me?” she said.

This is disappointing news for fans of Nicki and City Girls. JT, 29, has even gone on record before to say she’d like to team up with Nicki. “We’re hoping for it in the future, seriously,” she told GQ magazine in Aug. 2021. “A lot of people try to make fun of it, like, ‘Ahhh, you’re never going to get your feature,’ but you never know what can happen,” she added.

Lyrica Anderson filed for divorce after 5 years from husband A1 Bentley, per a report. The couple have been open about their relationship struggles on ‘L&HH.’

Another divorce has hit the Love & Hip-Hop universe. Lyrica Anderson has filed for divorce from husband A1 Bentley TMZ reported on Friday, Jan. 7. The 33-year-old daughter of Lyrica Garrett wed the rapper, 34, after eloping in 2016. The couple has been married for five years, and welcomed their son Ocean Zion Bentley, now 3, in Nov. 2018. HollywoodLife has reached out to representatives for Lyrica and A1, née Floyd Eugene Bentley III.

Both Lyrica and A1, who is a record producer and rapper hailing from Kansas, have appeared on L&HH: Hollywood since the third season in 2016, where they appeared as supporting cast. Lyrica was bumped up to a main cast member in season 4, while A1 was promoted in time for the 5th season.

Over their time on the reality series, the couple have been open about their marital struggles: back in 2018, the singer was accused of having an affair with Nicki Minaj‘s ex Safaree Samuels — which is when she was pregnant with her son Ocean. She even took a paternity test on the show to confirm that A1 was the father. On the sixth season, however, it was revealed that A1 had an affair with a woman named Summer Bunni — prompting a 2019 split.

During the COVID-19 quarantine, A1 and Lyrica chatted about their relationship challenges on The Conversation. “I did you wrong, made a mistake, cheated, you couldn’t get over it,” A1 said to his wife. “When someone makes a mistake, you’re just done? Because if that’s the case you can be single for forever,” he added. Lyrica responded, “I just have a really hard time being with someone that I don’t think it going to be completely faithful.”

She also said, “We haven’t officially got divorced. I don’t really know what’s gonna end up happening. For now, there’s a lot of co-parenting going on, of course, we have Ocean. He is the first priority and it’s not about us right now. It’s about him, he’s 1, he’s innocent and it’s fair to just be the best mom and dad.” Lyrica gave A1 another shot in season 6 of L&HH: Hollywood.

Back in 2020, Lyrica also penned song “Marriott” about their split (it happened, quite literally, at a Marriott branded hotel). “‘Marriott’ was my release, my diary when I wrote that song,” she told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY in May 2020. “It’s me just letting it out. Like you know what, ‘We went through this. I’m tired of this s–t, I’m tired of going through this stuff with you and I’m about to dip. This is the hotel I’m going to stay at and as a matter of fact, I’m going to write about it,” she said.

Kardashians mourn manager Angela Kukawski who has died at 55 allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend Jason Barker in a homicide.

Los Angeles-based business manager Angela “Angie” Kukawski has died. The manager, who represented numerous celebrities including the Kardashians, Nicki Minaj, Offset, the estate of Tupac Shakur, and more, worked at Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills and was 55 when she died, a death ruled a homicide, according to a police report obtained by HollywoodLife. Los Angeles police have arrested Kukawski’s boyfriend, 49-year-old Jason Barker, for the crime and he is currently being held on a $2 million bond. We have reached out to the Kardashians and the LAPD for a statement but have yet to hear a response.

After the announcement of the death, the Kardashian/Jenner family released a statement to TMZ, mourning the loss of their beloved business manager. “Angela was truly the best. She cared about everyone of us and made things happen that were impossible,” the statement read. “She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”

Authorities apparently found Kukawski dead in her car parked in Simi Valley, just north of Los Angeles. The Simi Police Department and Los Angeles Police Department then made the arrest of Barker as an alleged suspect who detectives believe killed Kukawski inside their home in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles and then transported the body in her car and left it in Simi Valley. Barker has not yet entered a plea nor has he responded to the charges.

TMZ also reported the D.A. claimed the murder was “with the intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion and for a sadistic purpose.”

A member of her firm, Todd Bozick, also told Variety, “We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski. Angie was a kind, wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie’s family and friends.”

Rapper Nicki Minaj gave a rare glimpse at her growing 1-year-old son, who we affectionately know as Papa Bear, in a collection of photos posted on Instagram on Christmas Day. “Merry Christmas. May you receive everything your heart desires,” Nicki shared alongside a photoshoot of herself, with her husband Kenneth Petty and young son. In the pictures, Nicki rocked a cut-out black gown with a high slit and beaded fringe. The rapper wore a red lip and elegant full curls in her hair. See the gorgeous photos here!

The “Monster” rapper’s son looked dapper in a Dolce & Gabbana white top and black suit, matching his dad. Just yesterday on Christmas Eve, Nicki shared another look at her son, while wishing her mom Carol Maraj a happy birthday. On her feed, the 39-year-old rap star included a glamorous picture of her mother in a sleek black cocktail dress decorated with a gleaming gold necklace and then shared an intimate look at her mom and Papa Bear playing in a living room. Nicki’s son, whose real name is not public knowledge, looked adorable in a little grey sweatsuit with his hood up while he played with his grandma.

In an interview with HollywoodLife back in February, Carol revealed that her daughter Nicki helped her find the courage to leave her abusive marriage. “Even as a teenager my daughter would say, ‘Why is he doing that to you?’” she said at the time. “So they look at you differently when they see you just being passive or just taking stuff or praying or just acting like it’s nothing. But they look at you as a strong person when you get up and do something about it.”

The first trailer for the four-part Real Housewives of Potomac reunion is here, and it does not disappoint. Rapper and Housewives fan Nicki Minaj makes her grand debut in the trailer released by Bravo on Friday, Oct. 29, gleefully declaring “I’m here, bitches!” as she enters the room with a bottle of liquor. The stars, which include Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, and a “friend of” Askale Davis, excitedly squeal at the grand entrance.

The cameo actually doesn’t occur until the end of the trailer, which begins with the women hurling insults at each other before host Andy Cohen gets to the nitty gritty of it. “Jamal owes $800,000 in taxes,” the host says to Gizelle, referencing her ex-husband Jamal Harrison Bryant. Andy later narrows in on another husband, Candiace’s Chris Bassett, and questioned him about hookup allegations previously made by Mia. “Did you try and holler at Mia?” he asks, prompting the others to accuse Mia of lying.

Towards the end of the teaser, Nicki makes her grand debut, going through security and riding in an elevator as dramatic music plays in the background. Don’t expect the “Super Bass” rapper to go soft on the women. The beginning of the teaser features soundbites from Nicki, one of which where she says, “We’re not getting away with that nonsense today, baby.” Nicki’s cameo comes after she expressed her desire to host the reunion on social media in July. Luckily, the network and longtime host Andy were up for it.

A source previously told HollywoodLife that the rapper really went in on Candiace. “She came hard for Candiace and read her,” the source said. “It was an epic moment.” Andy also appeared to confirm this during his interview with Entertainment Tonight on October 19. “She says sh*t that I could never say and it’s fantastic,” he said. “She’s a huge fan of the show and this wasn’t about what she stands for, this was about an exciting moment in the history of the show and the women were thrilled to be there with her.”

Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty were spotted walking out of the door of a studio as their baby boy, whom they refer to as ‘Papa Bear,’ was wrapped in a blanket nestled in his dad’s arms.

Nicki Minaj, 38, and Kenneth Petty, 43, recently brought their son out on a rare outing and it was adorable to see. The doting parents were photographed leaving a studio in New Jersey and the proud dad was holding the sweet tot, whom they have only publicly called “Papa Bear,” as he was wrapped in a blanket. The doting mom was leading the way while they walked down a flight of stairs and looked as happy as could be with a smile as her long locks were down.

Nicki and Kenneth’s latest outing with their son comes after they celebrated his first birthday. The mom and dad had a big party that was Kung-Fu Panda-themed and included lot of fun activities, eye-catching decorations, and sweet treats, including an amazing cake for the birthday boy. Nicki shared several photos from the festivities to Instagram and they included loving pics of her and Kenneth snuggling their precious bundle of joy.

“On Sept. 30th you turned 1. Mama is so proud of you, PapaBear,” Nicki wrote in the caption of the pics. “You’re the best boy in the whole wide world. I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but God bless you, son. Mommy & Daddy will never stop loving you. #KungFuPanda.”

In addition to throwing her son a bash, Nicki received a lot of impressive presents for him from family and friends, including Lil Wayne, who sent the cutie Givenchy clothes and shoes. Since the Queen Radio host has been vocal about her love of the show and the ladies for quite sometime now, even following some of her favorite ‘wives like Karen Huger, 58, and Robyn Dixon, 42, the cast knew it was always TBD if she’d actually show up with her busy schedule! “They knew it was a possibility,” our source added. “But her appearance was saved for the very end as a total surprise.”

Nicki Minaj has officially entered the Bravoverse. After much buzz around her possible hosting duties on the upcoming Real Housewives of Potomac reunion, the rapper, 38, confirmed that she has been tapped to make an appearance. The “Anaconda” singer shared a photo with Andy Cohen on Instagram on October 7, even using the hilarious hashtag #Andiconda.

“GUESS WHO BTCHS?!!!!!” she captioned the post. “#Andiconda #RHOP COMING SOON ON @BRAVOTV.” Andy, 53, shared the same image on his on Instagram, opting for an #AndyConda hashtag. “It’s the Reunion I could never get away with! At the end of ours, tonight @nickiminaj surprised the #RHOP and did her own thing!”

The rapper previously expressed her desire to host the Season 6 reunion in July. Nicki shared a montage of clips from the series on her Instagram with her song “Moment 4 Life” added to the background and captioned: “I’ll be hosting the reunion. lmk what y’all want me to ask chile.” Andy, who typically hosts the reunions, commented under her post at the time and said, “I want to see this!”

Not too long after, Nicki shared a follow up Instagram Story and wrote via Create Mode, “Don’t move! She then shared another Story that featured a screenshot text conversation between her and her publicist. Her publicist texted, “Andy Cohen said he would gladly give up his seat to have you host the Potomac reunion. When HollywoodLife caught up with Karen in August, she reiterated her desire to have the rapper on board. “Fingers crossed she will roll through!” Karen told us. “No one can take Andy’s place, but can they compliment Andy? Hello!” She later teased, “Stay tuned! She’s very genuine. She’s a straight shooter and that’s what I like about Nicki Minaj.”

The Pink Friday creator just celebrated the little tot’s first birthday on Sept. 30, and shared a video of the gifts from the rapper on her Instagram story on Oct. 5. The wrapped boxes, which were labeled Givenchy, were spread out across her floor as she panned the camera over them and could be heard expressing her shock to someone nearby,

In addition to Wayne’s gifts, Nicki shared pics and clips of what appeared to be her son’s eventful birthday party. The fun day included a Kung Fu Panda theme with several cakes, cupcakes, outdoor balloons, and a photo booth where many of the guests and their kids posed for joyous pics. Nicki, the birthday boy, and his dad Kenneth Petty, 43, also posed for a cute pic together.

To everyone’s disappointment, Bella Hadid, 24, was noticeably missing from the 2021 Met Gala, which led fans to believe she wasn’t vaccinated. In order to attend the gala, guests had to show proof of vaccination, so they just assumed Bella didn’t get her shot, along with Nicki Minaj. However, Bella shot down rumors when she posted a photo to her Instagram stories of her getting a shot.

In the photo posted to Bella’s Instagram stories, she took a screenshot of her camera roll, showing that the photo was taken on August 6. Bella wore a pair of leggings, a tank top, a gray sweatshirt, and a face mask as she sat in the chair in the doctor’s office while the doctor administered the shot into her arm. The supermodel posted the photo writing, “For anyone concerned,” with a black heart.

Considering Nicki didn’t attend the event because she didn’t get vaccinated, people assumed Bella had the same reason. Nicki Minaj said she’d be missing out on the Met Gala after contracting COVID. She admitted she wasn’t vaccinated and had to isolate from her 11-month-old son.

The “Queen of Rap” sadly won’t be attending the 2021 Met Gala. Nicki Minaj, 38, announced via Twitter on Monday (Sept. 13) that she contracted COVID-19 and won’t be attending this year’s star-studded event in New York. Nicki admitted that she was not vaccinated against the virus, and explained to her followers that the infection was also the reason she skipped out on the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. “I was prepping for vmas then i shot a video & guess who got COVID?” she wrote.

Nicki also revealed to her fans that she had to isolate away from her 11-month-old son, whom she’s nicknamed “Papa Bear.” “Do u know what it is not to be able to kiss or hold your tiny baby for over a week? A baby who is only used to his mama?,” she wrote. “‘get vaccinated’ Drake had just told me he got covid w|THE VACCINE tho so chile,” Nicki added. In a follow-up tweet, the “Super Bass” songstress claimed that she “had the exact same symptoms” of COVID-19 as people who were vaccinated but still caught the virus. She then elaborated on her decision to not get vaccinated, writing, “They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one.”

Nicki Minaj teased new music with all-star trifecta — and fans are excited. The rapper, 38, shared a snippet of a new track that featured audio of Brandy, Tamar Braxton, and Keke Wyatt harmonizing from her studio on Twitter on Friday, Sept. 10.

Naturally, her fans were elated, with many of them calling the vocals “heavenly” and “angelic.” One Twitter follower even wrote that they wanted the snippet played at their funeral. The tease comes only a few days after the “Super Bass” rapper tweeted out to her followers that she wanted the female artists to assist her.

The rapper revealed last year that a new album was forthcoming. Nicki also revealed last year that she teamed up with HBO Max for a docuseries centered on her life and career. In an Instagram video in November 2020, Nicki said, “It’s going to give you guys a raw, unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey, and I can’t wait to share it with you.”

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to have #HBOMAX on board to help me tell my story in this delicate and memorable way,” she captioned the post. “A way that my fans will love forever. Nicki took to Instagram to share snaps from the recent outing to her Instagram on Sept. 6, also revealing that her adorable baby son (who she nicknamed “Papa Bear”) was present.

In the next post, the two showed off their glam makeup and hair in a selfie-filmed video by Nicki. Both ladies looked flawless as they posed and moved around for the camera. “Caribbean tings, you know what I’m sayin’?” Rihanna cheekily said during the short clip. Nicki opted to sport her signature bold cat eye and pink lip gloss, adding a dash of sparkle with her glitter eye shadow and plenty of highlighter.

The two ladies have shared a lengthy friendship, dating back to their 2010 collaboration “Fly,” which appeared on Nicki’s Pink Friday album. That same year, they also did the track “Raining Men” for Rih’s Loud LP. Sometime after 2018, however, both Rihanna and Nicki unfollowed each other. They never addressed the rumored feud, but fans on social media believed it could have been related to Nicki’s beef with Remy Ma.

Nicki Minaj has taken to the internet to clear the air about her song “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande. The rapper, 38, issued a response to Jessie J’s recent feature with Glamour published on Thursday, Aug. 5, in which the English singer-songwriter, 33, dissected some of her greatest hits. When Jessie mentioned that Nicki asked to get on “Bang Bang,” the rapper seemingly took offense.

Regardless, it did not sound like her collaborator meant any ill will with the statement, as she gushed about the collaboration during the interview. “I’ll never forget: I was in my bedroom in my flat in London, and I got sent the version with Nicki on it,” Jessie continued. “I just sat at the end of my bed holding my phone, staring at the floor, going, ‘How the fuck did I land this?’ I literally felt like I’d won a competition.”

The singer added that the song “would have never done what it did without” her collaborators, citing “girl power.” She said, “The gratitude I have and, honestly, the experience of girl power. Nicki commented right back to Karen, joking to the RHOP OG, “yes ma’am. i know a thing or 2 about being the Grand Dame.” Robyn, meanwhile, added a hands up and flower emojis to Nicki, while fellow “Green-Eyed Bandit” Gizelle Bryant commented, “Yesssssss!!!!!” Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett also eagerly expressed approval of Nicki being the reunion host — as did Andy himself, who said, “I want to see this!”

Nicki’s declaration also started up a hilarious interaction between the rapper and the official Instagram account for Watch What Happens Live. After the person behind the talk show’s IG page commented, “We need Drive Back ft. Nicki Minaj!” on her post, Nicki hilariously responded, “Babe what’s dat?” That song, of course, is Candiace’s latest single, and once Nicki was informed, the rapper admitted that she may not be the biggest fan of Candiace. “It’s a nice song. But at the reunion ima have to get into some thangz with sissy. Cuz chiiiile,” she said with a laughing emoji.

After Nicki’s post blew up, the Grammy winner went on to tease her fans that her RHOP hosting gig may actually come to fruition. “Don’t move! Everyone binge watch all the episodes cuz we finna get into some thangz hunty,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “My questions will be well thought out, too. Mixed with funny & epic of course. And Barbz, please don’t send me a million comments about the album & doc chile just lemme have my moment. We almost there. Promise. Not lying time. Love you.” Then, Nicki posted a screenshot message between her and her publicist, Joe. In the texts, he told Nicki that Andy “would gladly give up his seat to have you host the Potomac reunion,” which he said tapes in October. Nicki, of course, was very excited and delivered responses in all-caps. “I WANT TO DO IT!!!!” she reiterated, to which Joe said, “Ok, getting details.”

For now, RHOP fans will have to wait to see if Nicki indeed gets to sit in the coveted hosting seat for the next reunion. The hit series is three episodes into season 6, and there’s already been plenty of drama between the ladies. So here’s to hoping that when the reunion comes around in October, Nicki is there ready to get to work.

Nicki Minaj, 38, stunned in a series of throwback photos posted on her Instagram on July 27. The “Starship” singer showcased her all-pink outfit and incredible physique while coyly posing for the glam session. 

The rapper posed along a white wall and opted to wear a curly long pink wig and matching lipstick and shoes for the pics. She completed the look with silver bracelets, anklets, and a diamond-encrusted watch. Complete with a matching bucket hat and a pink fanny pack, this look was the perfect throwback to ’90s fashion.

Most recently, the hit maker’s iconic Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape joined streaming platforms. Although the mixtape made its debut in 2009, fans are still obsessed with the New York rapper’s unforgettable breakout. The 2021 edition of Beam Me Up Scotty gave fans a glimpse into five tracks that have been under the radar since the initial release. Nicki Minaj put frequent collaborator Lil’ Wayne on the spot during an Instagram Live on July 8. The “Roman Holiday” rapper, 38, asked Wayne about his favorite sex position during their conversation on Thursday night, leading to a few more minutes of dissecting the best positions that would be more toe-friendly. Back to that favorite sex position question, though. When asked about his favorite position, Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., 38, responded with a double entendre, musing about life and success. “On top,” the rapper said. “In any part of life, period. Not just the bedroom. Just on top.” Just call him Philosopher Wayne.

Nicki’s IG Live comes after the rapper teased a “very very important” announcement just a few days prior, leading fans to theorize about the possibility of a new album. The new mom — who welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband Kenneth Petty last September — has been on a bit of an album hiatus, releasing her last one, Queen, in August 2018. In May, though, the rapper re-released her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, which featured a track with Wayne (“Seeing Green”).

The announcement was not about a new album, but instead a new remix with rapper BIA. The artist, real name Bianca Landrau, joined Nicki on her IG Live on Thursday evening to announce the remix of her single “Whole Lotta Money,” featured in BIA’s 2020 EP For Certain. Listen to the track below.

“Whole Lotta Money” might not be the only new track on Nicki’s horizon. Earlier this week, the rapper’s longtime collaborator Drake fueled collaboration speculation after he shared some snapshots from Nicki’s studio on July 6. The two even posed for a selfie together. The duo have already collaborated on a number of songs together in the past, including “Seeing Green,” “No Frauds,” and “Moment 4 Life.”

The Barbz are no doubt hungry for more. Nicki recently collaborated with Polo G for the track “For the Love of New York.” She’s also released “Say So” with Doja Cat and “Hot Girl Summer” with Megan Thee Stallion and Ty Dolla Sign.

Nicki Minaj is feeling the love! Drake droped by to celebrate the release of her single with rapper Polo G, ‘For The love of New York.

Nicki Minaj, 38, and Drake, 34, are getting the weekend started with a mini Young Money reunion! The duo snapped a selfie in celebration of Nicki’s latest tune “For the Love of New York” with rapper Polo G on Friday, June 11. The song is included on Polo G’s latest album Hall of Fame Hours after the project dropped, Nicki posted videos of her and Drake singing along to the track as they showed off their looks.

Drake flashed his signature smile as he danced behind Nicki, channeling the 2000’s with a denim jacket, and layered beaded necklaces. The Toronto native added some serious with large diamond stud earrings and an expensive looking watch. Meanwhile, Nicki looked fresh off the runway in a Louis Vuitton logo jacket with her ‘Barbie’ inspired makeup look. Her eyes popped with a dramatic winged liner, paired with a light pink lipstick and slick straight hair.

Nicki took a break from her own solo music after the release of 2018’s Queen, marking her return with mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty earlier this year. Drake also appeared on the tune “Seeing Green” alongside Lil Wayne, marking a nostalgic reunion for the trio. “[Drake] singlehandedly got me out of my writers block,” Nicki said to fans during an IG live with Drake on May 14. “I’m never going to forget it — and I’m going to shout out to the world and the mountain tops. He sent me something and it made me feel so competitive again and I was like…you need to get writing,” she confessed. Gucci Mane also appeared on the project.

They made peace long before his tragic death in February after he was hit by a car in New York. But Nicki Minaj’s mom Carol Maraj is reflecting on her turbulent marriage to the rapper’s dad Robert and how she emerged to become a champion of victims of domestic violence.

In an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife about her book, Leaving My Pain, the 61-year-old mom-of-three reveals she feared that the relationship would negatively impact her children.

“A son sees his father abusing his mother, he’ll grow up and think that’s normal. And he does that to his girl and he’s controlling,” says Carol, who has two sons, Jelani, 42, and Micaiah, 23, in addition to 38-year-old Nicki.

“And then the daughter, she sees her mother being submissive and taking a lot of these things and she thinks that maybe that’s OK and she falls for the same kind of man. A great percentage of homes fall [into] that position. The children follow their parents. That happens. I always was concerned about that; that they would do the same thing that their father did.”

Carol also claims that Nicki –  who told Rolling Stone in 2010 that her dad abused drugs, alcohol and her mom, and once set fire to their home – questioned why her mother would let Robert treat her that way. “Even as a teenager my daughter would say, ‘Why is he doing that to you?’” she says. “So they look at you differently when they see you just being passive or just taking stuff or praying or just acting like it’s nothing. But they look at you as a strong person when you get up and do something about it.”

Leaving My Pain is part-memoir, part self-help guide offering advice and inspiration to other victims, telling them how to recognize abuse and to take the steps to walk away.

In the book Carol – who was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad – describes a terrifying Dec. 31, 1989 incident when she says Robert hit her and dragged her from her car. That night she says she suffered a “rain of blows” to her “head and face.” “After a while everything felt numb,” she writes, “I felt blood running down my face, my nose was bleeding and I was in a state of shock from that many hits to my head.”

It took more than a decade for her to leave, but Carol says she finally seized the opportunity to escape when Robert was in rehab. “They sent him away for a while, to get help and different things. He was away from me for a couple of years at first and I stayed by myself with my children. Then I was able to get my own little place and that was it,” she says.

Eventually Carol was able to forgive Robert, whom she never divorced. “For a long time I was angry and, [as] I grew older, I got wiser and I realized that whatever I was holding on to was really getting a hold on me,” she says. “It took 20 years before I could let go.” “I advise everyone to try hard to love yourself so much that you will let go of the anger and hatred for anyone,” she adds.

There were moments of happiness in the Maraj household. Today Carol reminisces about singing old Motown tunes while cooking and a young Nicki running from her bedroom to join in. “I didn’t have to call,” she says. “I just had to start singing.” Meanwhile, the Robert she remembers fondly loved “cooking for the family,” making “oxtail and his famous curry chicken, everyone knew him for.”

By February, their relationship had healed to the point where she was the last person to see him before the fatal Long Island accident. She visited his home and was with him “about an hour before he got hit by the car” on Feb. 12. He died a day later at the age of 64. (Carol has since filed a $150 million lawsuit against Charles Polevich, the 70-year-old driver accused of hitting Robert.)

These days Carol is focused on her advocacy, promoting this book while writing more and pursuing her singing career. Her latest single is called, “What Makes You.” As for Nicki, Carol could see their kitchen duets of yesteryear becoming a more official collaboration.

“Even [though] I sing gospel and she [does] rap, it doesn’t matter. She can rap a gospel too,” the proud mom says. As Carol notes: “It’s totally up to Nicki. I would not rule that out.”

Kenya Moore took to social media to seemingly react to Porsha Williams’ engagement to her former friend Falynn Guobadia’s ex-husband Simon Guobadia by using a clip of Nicki Minaj.

Kenya Moore, 50, seems to be reacting to Porsha Williams‘ engagement with a shady video! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a clip of Nicki Minaj shouting “Did I lie?” over and over again into a microphone, during what looked like a previous interview, shortly after 39-year-old Porsha revealed she is dating Simon Guobadia, who then confirmed they are engaged. Simon happens to be the ex-husband of Kenya’s ex-friend Falynn Guobadia, who made a few cameos on past episodes of her Bravo show. Although Kenya, who’s made headlines in the past for feuding with Porsha, didn’t mention any names directly, a lot of her followers took to the comments section of her post to share their opinions about it being about Porsha’s news. “Read between the lines she meant she’s warned us about Porsha not being a good person. This right here is foul as f–k and anybody with sense can see it,” one follower wrote.

“She said from the beginning that P was a dumb hoe,” wrote another while a third added, “She told you guys about Porsha being a snake and a liar. She also called out the double standards of Porsha calling Kenya a slut for years but playing victim when someone calls her one. Look at Porsha now. Engaged to her friend’s ex husband.”

Others talked about how even though Simon is estranged from Falynn, he is still technically married and their engagement can’t turn into marriage until a divorce is finalized. At the time of this story, Kenya didn’t respond or like any comments but she also didn’t deny the suspicions.

Before Kenya’s post, Porsha shocked many RHOA fans with her engagement announcement. She also revealed that she has only been dating Simon for a month but is confident in their connection. “Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest,” her caption for her May 10 post, which featured a smiling pic of her and Simon, read. “I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.”

She also mentioned that she’s not friends with Simon’s ex Falynn and has nothing to do with his filing for divorce in Jan. Falynn made her own divorce announcement on Apr. 22. “After two years of marriage and five years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” she wrote. “We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children. This mutual decision was not made lightly, and despite our current willingness to be transparent, we only ask our friends and supporters to be respectful of our privacy as our family gets through this very difficult period.”

Nicki Minaj took to social media to share two new eye-catching photos of herself posing in nothing but sunglasses and jewelry while surrounded by pink Chanel decor.

Nicki Minaj, 38, had her fans overjoyed on May 10 when she returned to social media to seemingly tease new music with new gorgeous photos. The rapper posed for two glorious snapshots that showed her wearing nothing but pink-framed sunglasses, pink Crocs, and various pieces of jewelry, including necklaces and bracelets, as she covered herself with two pink heart-shaped pillows. She was sitting on a white and pink desk and was surrounded by pink Chanel decor as a neon pink sign with her first name could be seen hanging up in the background in one of the photos. Nicki also wore hoop earrings in the pics as some of her her long dark locks were tied up into a high ponytail. She hinted that the post was a part of something that’s going to be released on May 14 by writing “FRIDAY” alongside a fingers crossed emoji in the caption. Once she shared it, her fans couldn’t help but respond with excitement in the comments section.

Nicki’s latest teaser comes after she’s been pretty quiet on social media for a few months. The talented star welcomed her first child, a son, with husband Kenneth Petty, 43, in Sept. Although she shared adorable pics of the bundle of joy back in Jan. and gushed about being a mom, she hasn’t released music since her 2018 album Queen, so her upcoming news is definitely something to look forward to!

Doja Cat and SZA are the goddesses of their own planet in the video for their new collab, ‘Kiss Me More.’ One very lucky star from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ gets to be the on-screen love interest who kisses them more!

Doja Cat began the next chapter in her career on Friday (Apr. 9) with help from none other than SZA. The two teamed up for “Kiss Me More,” off of Doja’s forthcoming Planet Her, an album title that is visually translated into the music video for Doja and SZA’s new collab. “Planet Her” is pink and peachy, full of ethereal outfits, and has invited one lucky (and very handsome) visitor from Planet Earth (where he plays a doctor on Grey’s Anatomy).

This astronaut is played by Alex Landi, who you may know as Dr. Nico Kim on Grey’s Anatomy. Trading his scrubs for a spacesuit, Alex’s character crash lands on the dunes of “Planet Her.” He is soon invited to a love fest with SZA and Doja, and these sultry scenes are split between solo (and duo) shots of Doja and SZA transformed from Earth goddesses into the goddesses you’d see in a fantasy comic book.

“Kiss Me More” marks the conclusion to Doja’s Hot Pink era. The 2019 album helped Doja reach a new level of success, thanks to singles “Juicy,” and “Say So,” which include a chart-topping remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Doja also got praise for bringing nu-metal back, when she preformed an amped-up, guitar-fueled version of “Say So” at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards (where she also won for Best New Act.) This era was capped off with three nominations at the 2021 Grammy Awards – Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.

“I’ve always wanted to try things,” Doja told SZA in an interview for V Magazine, in which the “Say So” singer shared that her third album, Planet Her, is due this summer. “I commend artists, like you, who stick to something. It feels pleasing aesthetically and very driven. For me, I want to try all these things, but I’m starting to learn what I’m falling into is a lot of the house, disco, vintage-y essences—that’s where my heart kind of lies. But I still am doing shit that I don’t understand. It’s still really fun!”

“I wanted to be a rapper before I was a singer at all,” added Doja. “And I always wanted to sing because singing is amazing when you hit a note and you’re like, ‘Wow.’ It’s a feeling that a lot of people can’t really describe. It’s amazing to be able to sing and create melodies and whatnot but I always started off wanting to rap. They’ve just melded together, and I’ve just been able to make those two come together. … But it’s hard. A lot of things are one genre, but a lot of people are putting shit together so how are we supposed to perfectly place things in categories anymore? When experimentation and whatnot is a huge thing.”

SZA also gave an update to her next album while speaking with PopSugar. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a follow-up to 2017’s Ctrl, especially after she dropped “Hit Different” and “Good Days” in 2020. Addison Rae is not only a TikTok star, but also a singer. The social media star released her debut song and music video, ‘Obsessed,’ and revealed why she’s pursuing music.

Addison Rae is dancing again — but not for a TikTok this time. The 20-year-old TikTok star dropped the ultimate surprise when the clock struck midnight on March 19: her first ever song and music video, called “Obsessed.” This is also the word fans used to describe Addison’s music debut!

Addison not only showed off her style (courtesy of stylist Kyle Luu), but her moves, too, which were guided by choreographers Sara Biv and Calvit Hodge. They have worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Major Lazer and Camila Cabello!

[Courtesy of YouTube]The track is an empowering anthem about how Addison is “obsessed” with herself…just as much as her admirer is! “I’m obsessed with me-e-e as much as you / Say you’d die for me I’d die for me-e too / And if I lost you, I’d still have me, I can’t lose / When you say that you’re obsessed with me, me too,” Addison — who is dating fellow TikTok star Bryce Hall — sings in the chorus.

“One could take it as being vainly obsessed with yourself, but that’s not what I’m trying to communicate,” Addison told Vogue while discussing the confidence in her lyrics. “It’s more I can love myself as much as you love me, and that’s important. There are days where I struggle, and it’s definitely a work in progress to accept who I am and give myself the love I deserve. But that message was so strong, and I wanted to communicate it [in the lyrics].”

While many fans were surprised to see Addison make the jump from TikTok to music, this is not something she took up on a whim. “From the beginning, I wanted to make sure that I was writing my own music,” Addison also told Vogue. “I remember jotting down lyrics when I was little and trying to figure out how to make them a song, [now] I’m learning every detail and from amazing songwriters.”

Addison joined TikTok in July of 2019, and in less than two years, she has went from being a Louisiana State University student to becoming a full-fledged celebrity. Addison is also known for being close friends with Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian, and they’ll both be making their film debuts in the upcoming remake of the movie She’s All That (which will instead be called He’s All That).

Drake celebrated being a dad on his new song, ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle,’ rapping about dropping his 3-year-old son Adonis off at school while making all the other moms go crazy over his good looks and fame.

On Scary Hours 2, Drake gave love to both his “lil man” Adonis Graham and his baby’s mother, Sophie Brussaux (while also rapping about giving her money.) Drake, 34, mentioned both during “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” one of the three songs on his new EP. “I sent her the child support, she sent me the heart emoji / They all say they love me, but they hardly know me / Yeah, dropped him off at school, big day for my lil’ man,” he spits, per Genius. “Recess hits, daddy prolly made another M.”

If the thought of Drake in a pre-K line wasn’t crazy enough, Drake talks about the problems he faces whenever he needs to chat with his boy’s educations about his development. “School bell rings, and I’m out there to get him again / Yeah, teacher-parent meetings, wives get googly-eyed/ Regardless of what they husbands do to provide / Askin’ if I know Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj.”

Adonis turns 4-years-old in October 2021, so he might not be in pre-K just yet (3-K, perhaps.) Of course, Drake mocks the whole idea of him being a carpool dad in the next verse. “Of course, pull up to the front in the fleet of Suburbans / Flooded French Immersion with the Secret Service / Sh-t is so obvious, it defeats the purpose.” So, the next time a fleet of SUVs with bodyguards pulls up to a random elementary school in Toronto, you know it’s probably Drake.

While Scary Hours 2 isn’t the highly-anticipated (and frequently delayed) Certified Lover Boy album, there’s enough drama and swagger on this three-track EP to hold fans over for a while. Drake took a victory lap while taking fans on a tour of Toronto in the braggadocious music video for “What’s Next.” In “Wants & Needs,” Drake name-dropped Kanye West, despite their notorious feud, in a way that had fans hopeful for reconciliation (or, confused if the feud is back on.) If this is a sampling of the drama and love fans can expect when the full-length drops, Certified Lover Boy is going to be the biggest album of the year.

On February 17, Charles Polevich turned himself in to authorities following the fatal February 12 hit-and-run that left Nicki Minaj‘s father, Robert Maraj, dead at the age of 64. Charles has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality and tampering with evidence. Police have verbally confirmed to HollywoodLife that Charles was arrested on this charge in New York. Details On The Arrest

On February 12 at roughly 6 pm, ET, Robert Maraj was struck by a 1992 Volvo as he was walking near Roslyn Road and Raff Avenue in Long Island, according to WABC-TV ABC NY 7. While Robert was walking south, the Volvo came at him from northbound, and the driver allegedly fled the scene. Nicki’s father tragically passed away at a nearby hospital on February 13, hours after the hit-and-run. On Wednesday, February 17, Charles turned himself in to authorities.

What’s Known About Charles?

Few details are presently known about Charles. He does not have a criminal history or “any driving license history,” per WABC ABC NY 7. He is originally from Guam and lives in Mineola, which is located in the Nassau County of Long Island. Charles is 70 years old.

On February 17, the Police Department of Nassau County released an updated statement on the incident. “The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Charles Polevich, 70,” an excerpt from the updated statement EXCLUSIVELY shared with HL read. “He is charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident with a Fatality and Tampering with Evidence. The defendant will be arraigned in Mineola on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.”

Nicki has yet to release an official statement in the days following her father’s death. It is not know how close the two were prior to his tragic passing. Nicki welcomed her first child, a son with husband Kenneth Petty, in early fall 2020. Since she gave birth to her baby boy, the “Anaconda” rapper has been “loving every minute” of motherhood.

What Happens Next?

Charles Polevich will be arraigned in Mineola today, Wednesday, February 17. Following the arraignment, he will be due back in court on Friday, February 19, per WABC-TV ABC NY 7. Charles has had to surrender his passport and his travel is restricted to New York state. His bail was set at $250,000 bond, $125,000 cash, or $1.25 million partially secured bond, according to WABC-TV ABC NY 7.

Nicki Minaj is mourning the death of her father, Robert Maraj, who was killed in a hit-and-run.

Maraj was age 64 at the time of his death. The full details surrounding the unfortunate incident that occurred on Friday (February 12) are still unknown to the media, but sources are saying that the hit-and-run accident took placed at approximately 6 PM ET between Roslyn Road and Raff Avenue in New York. TMZ reported that Nassau County Police confirmed that the 64-year-old was walking on the road when he was struck by a vehicle that sped away from the scene without any eyewitness being able to give an accurate description.

Police are now asking anyone with details of the car or driver to come forward, but so far, they have no meaningful leads. Nicki Minaj’s father was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but has subsequently passed away from his injuries.

Nicki Minaj has yet to make a public statement about her father’s death, but sources say she and her siblings are very distraught about it. Sources close to the Trinidadian-born rapper told Urban Islandz that she and her dad had grown closer over the years even though they had a rocky relationship before becoming a huge star.

“Their relationship wasn’t always dandy but they grew closer in recent years and regularly talk and see each other even though they live on separate coasts,” the source said. “This one hit her and her brothers and mom hard. The entire family is in deep somber mood right now.”
