Ahead of Super Bowl LVI, Joey Fatone – who rocked the Halftime show alongside Britney Spears, Aerosmith, and more – tells HL who he wants to see as a ‘surprise performer’ this year. Hint: it’s not ‘Weird’ Al.

There is someone who knows what makes a good Super Bowl Halftime Show, it’s Joey Fatone. Along with the rest of NSYNC, Joey helped kick off the modern era of the Halftime Show at Super Bowl XXXV in 2001 by sharing the stage with rockers Aerosmith and a bevy of guest performers. “I think it was the first time they really had a collaboration where it was two completely separate different kinds of [artists],” Joey tells HollywoodLife in an EXCLUSIVE interview about the launch of the “Fatone Calzone at Schlotzsky’s. When reflecting on his 2001 Super Bowl performance, Joey noted that the show saw two groups “that don’t even really belong together, and make it work together.”

“And then you added Nelly, you added Brittany Spears, you added Mary J. Blige,” Joey tells HollywoodLife. “So I think the fact that [with the] Super Bowl, it’s cool when they do the one artist, but it’s so cool to do different groups or different acts together. Because, just like the game, you’re having two different teams come together for this game. Why not have different groups and artists come together for this halftime show?”

With that said, who does Joey want to join Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime show? “You’d have to go for a twist, do something more rock, you know?” Joey tells HollywoodLife. “Put in a Bon Jovi, put in somebody completely different that doesn’t belong in that group. That’s what that’s all about. And Snoop’s all about that kind of stuff, I mean, you’ve seen Snoop with Martha Stewart. Bringing in those things always raise eyebrows and ears, so when you see that, it’s like … It actually is a little bit of East Coast, West Coast, and you’re kind of like, ‘Well, that’s interesting. Well, that’s cool.’”

Bringing people together is what the Super Bowl is really about. While there is a sports game at the heart of the extravaganza, the day has become much more than that: it’s about reconnecting with friends, watching the commercials, and enjoying good food and drink. Joey is also helping out in that regard with his new partnership with Schlotzsky’s.

The restaurant has just introduced calzones as part of the menu, made from Schlotzky’s trademark bread (“Every time I’ve told somebody, anybody that is from Midwest, from Texas, Atlanta, Oklahoma, any of those places, they literally say to me, ‘You have to have the bread. Did you have the bread?’ says Joey) and bursting at the seams with ingredients. Fans can enjoy the French Dip Calzone, the BBQ Chicken Calzone, and the Italian – uh, the Fatone Calzone.

“I’m a pepperoni lover, you know? So also we did different types of salamis in here as well, so it’s different types of like general salami, but also pepperoni,” he says when describing a calzone that will make your stomach growl. “And your classic cheese, it’s their cool take, twist, on a calzone because it is almost kind of an open face, if you will. If you’re an Italian kind of person like I am, or love the Italian food, again, pepperoni, salami, cheese, you can’t go wrong.”

The calzone might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of “Super Bowl Party Spread,” but Joey – under his Joey Calzone persona – and Schlotzky’s is looking to change things up. After all, who would have thought Aerosmith, Britney, and NSYNC would have worked? And yet, it’s now regarded as one of the best Halftime shows in history.

‘Weird’ Al Yankovic (Larry Marano/Shutterstock)

Joey could be part of Super Bowl History again if the NFL finally listens to the fans and books “Weird” Al Yankovic for the Halftime Show. In 2014, fans began circulating a petition that demanded that Al get the gig. Despite over 120,000 people signing the petition, the NFL has yet to comply. “Weird” Al’s name always gets passed around social media whenever the NFL announces a new Halftime Show performer, and fans continue to wait until the day comes.

The thing is, if “Weird” Al were to get the gig and pick Joey to join him onstage, Fatone would be more than down to do it. “I am a huge ‘Weird’ Al fan,” he tells HollywoodLife when asked about what songs Joey would want to do with “Weird” Al (and that 2003 MTV News interview where Joey’s bandmate, JC Chasez, says that Joey was a master of parody himself.)

“I know his actual songs,” says Joey, “and even some of the originals. But you know, for me, it would either maybe be ‘The Saga,’ or ‘Lasagna,’ which is ‘La Bomba.’ I can give you, ‘Nature Trail to Hell is another song.’ You know what I’m talking about. If you’re a Weird Al fan, you know what I’m talking about.”

“So those kinds of songs, but what would be cool is if he did the halftime show and then he would bring those artists out of the songs that he parodied, and they sing it with him,” says Joey with a smile. “Come on now, Super Bowl. And then we all have a Fatone Calzone at the end of it.”

The ultimate battle of the bands! In an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife, 98 Degrees shared their thoughts on having a Verzuz battle with fellow boy band favorites, NSYNC & Backstreet Boys.

90s’ kids rejoice! 98 Degrees is back and better than ever! Fans are eager to get all of their childhood favorites back on stage together again. However, when asked if members Nick and Drew LacheyJustin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons, would be down for a Verzuz battle with fellow boybands, NSYNC or Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees politely declined.

“No, we are honored to be in the same category as those guys and [are] mentioned in the same breath, but we have had a lot of hits, but those guys have had a lot a lot of hits,” Jeff Timmons told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “Although we would stand behind our stuff and love it I think those guys have had a few more than us.”

However, not all is lost when it comes to combining forces. “But the idea of doing something together and touring together and sharing the stage together is appealing not only to us but to all the fans of that era of music out there, and I think it would [be] a huge opportunity,” Nick shares. “We all have talked about it in different circles at different times and it just hasn’t had the stars align and there hasn’t been a time to put that package together, but we will keep talking about it until it hopefully does, and I think it would be something we would enjoy with the three groups and also the fans would have a blast with all of that. It would be a celebration of a cool era and time in music, and it would be a special special thing.”

Britney Spears’ Romantic History: From Dating Justin Timberlake To Getting Engaged To Sam Asghari

Now that Britney Spears is engaged to longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari, it’s time to do a deeper dive into the pop star’s love life over the course of her career.

Britney Spears has been in the spotlight for more than 20 years and on Sept. 12, the iconic pop star revealed she’s engaged to longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari. But before Sam came along, Britney got married twice and engaged three times. She also had a high-profile romance with Justin Timberlake. Want to know more? Take a look at this breakdown of her romantic history.

Britney and Justin Timberlake were the ultimate pop music couple when they dated from early 1999 until 2002. At the time, she was at the height of her early career, while he was at the peak of his boy band days in NSYNC. They were together for more than three years when things ended quite abruptly. After the split, Justin went on to release his first solo song, “Cry Me A River,” which he eventually admitted was about his split from Britney. Although they grew apart over the years, they both complimented each other on social media in 2020.

Britney dated choreographer Wade Robson for about a year after her split from Justin. However, there have been widespread rumors that she began hooking up with Wade before ending things with Justin. Britney has never confirmed whether or not there is any validity to this speculation. Robson is one of the men who has accused Michael Jackson of sexual abuse, and his claims were the subject of the 2019 documentary, Leaving Neverland.

Britney and Colin Farrell sparked major romance rumors when they attended the premiere of The Recruit together in 2003. Later on, they were also spotted making out on his hotel room balcony! However, Colin denied that the two were ever anything serious, and insisted that they were just “having fun.”

Shortly after being linked to Colin, Britney hooked up with one of her backup dancers, Columbus Short. The following year, Columbus opened up about the hookup in an interview with Star magazine, and admitted that it led to the demise of his marriage (his wife was pregnant with their first child at the time). Columbus’ employment with Britney was terminated afterward, as well.

In 2004, Britney shocked everyone when she married her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. However, in one of the most short-lived celebrity marriages of all-time, the pair annulled their union after just 55 hours of wedded bliss. Britney filed a petition with the court, which stated that she “lacked understanding of her actions” at the time of the nuptials.

That same year, Britney met backup dancer, Kevin Federline. Just three months after they met, the two were engaged, and they tied the knot in September 2004 (although the nuptials were not legalized until a few weeks later). At the time all of this was happening, Kevin’s ex, Shar Jackson, was pregnant with his second child. Britney and Kevin wound up having two sons of their own: Sean Preston was born in Sept. 2005, followed by Jayden James in 2006. As Britney began dealing with some issues with her mental health, her relationship with Kevin fizzled out, and they split in 2006. The divorce was finalized in July 2007.

Following her divorce from Kevin, Britney didn’t take long to get back on the dating scene. She briefly dated music producer J.R. Rotem in 2007, although there was some speculation that their relationship potentially began while she was still with Kevin. Again, this has not been confirmed by either party.

Adnan Ghalib

Britney shocked her friends, family and fans when she got together with a paparazzo at the end of 2007. She briefly dated photographer, Adnan Ghalib, despite the fact that she was being hounded by paparazzi for months. Although the relationship was short-lived, Adnan re-entered Britney’s life in 2012 when he testified in Sam Lutfi’s case against the singer (Sam sued Britney for unpaid fees and accused her father, Jamie, of punching him).

After these flings, Britney got into another long term relationship beginning in 2009, when she started dating her manager, Jason Trawick. The pair’s relationship was confirmed in 2010, and in December 2011, the two got engaged. Jason even became a co-conservator for Britney and obtained legal control of the singer. Unfortunately, the relationship eventually fizzled out, and Britney and Jason split at the beginning of 2013. At that time, he was removed as her conservator.

Following the end of her engagement to Jason, Britney began dating a lawyer, David Lucadoin 2013. However, the romance lasted just one year, and by 2014, the two had broken up. At the time, it was reported that Britney ended the relationship because she caught David kissing another woman, but those rumors have not been confirmed.

Brit’s next relationship was with Charlie Ebersol, who works as a producer and is the son of Saturday Night Live‘s co-creator, Dick Ebersol. They got together in 2014 and even made public appearances on red carpets together. However, the relationship ended in 2015.

Britney met her current fiance, Sam Asghari, on the set of her music video for “Slumber Party” in 2016. Despite an age difference of more than ten years, the two hit it off and exchanged numbers after the shoot. They started seeing each other afterward, and went Instagram official in January 2017. Ever since, Sam has been a rock for Britney — he was a solid support system when she sought out mental health resources in 2019.

More recently, Sam spoke out about his relationship with Britney, and the pop star’s father, Jamie Spears‘, involvement in her conservatorship — instituted roughly 12 years ago. “Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles in our way,” Sam shared on his Instagram Story. “In my opinion, Jamie [Spears] is a total d*ck.” The statement came just days following the premiere of The New York Times‘ documentary Framing Britney Spears premiered on FX and was later viewed by fans on Hulu. Now, they’re engaged and wanting to get married!

Pop group 98 Degrees speaks exclusively to HollywoodLife about their new music, the band’s legacy, and a potential tour with NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.

98 Degrees is back! The pop group released “Where Do You Wanna Go” on July 9, their first original release in more than eight years, ushering in a new sound for a new millennium. The track is part of “98 Days of Summer,” a campaign that has so far featured throwback clips and photos, unreleased songs, and soon, an EP titled Summer of 98 (out August 8), which will feature remixes of the group’s biggest hits and brand new songs.

Enter: “Where Do You Wanna Go,” an upbeat pop tune that still possesses the distinct nostalgic cues of beloved 98 Degrees songs of ’90s past. That’s because for members Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons, it’s all about remaining true to the group’s roots. The band recently spoke exclusively to HollywoodLife about the new song, the band’s legacy, and, of course, a potential NSYNC and Backstreet Boys mega tour.

“It is always a fine line of trying to find songs that fit our sound [while continuing] to grow as artists,” Justin, 48, told HL of creating new music. “But you don’t want to chase something and try to be something that you are not. You got to stay true to who you are as artists, and I feel we have been able to strike that with a good balance with the latest recordings.”

“We are constantly looking to find that fine line and walk that line [of] staying current and also have that classic sound that our fans want to hear from us,” Drew, 44, added. The band knew that “Where Do You Wanna Go” remained true to that classic sound. “We couldn’t be happier [with] the way it turned out,” Drew added. “You definitely get a feeling when you hear a song, whether it is going to be a hit.”

With NSYNC members Lance Bass and Joey Fatone coming together with BSB members Nick Carter and AJ McLean this summer for a special Pride Month event, one major question permanently resides in the back of every ’90s boy-band enthused fan’s mind: could a 98 Degrees, NSYNC, and BSB mega tour be on the horizon? Maybe. “There is a real appetite for it,” Nick, 47, told HL. “What was once not even an option [is] now something that people are really thinking it would be a really cool thing.”

Nick added that the group “would jump at the chance” to be part of that mega tour. “I think it would be an epic once in a lifetime moment,” he told HL. “I think the fans would go crazy for it, so hopefully that comes around at some point.” It would elicit fervent responses, indeed. The band rose to prominence in the late ’90s and early 2000s with a devoted fanbase — one that still very much remains today.

When asked what they believe their legacy would be, the band cited a career rooted in hard work and the ability to treat people with respect and kindness. Jeff, 48, told HL,  “We all prided ourselves with respect and working hard and putting out a really great product. I think we stayed true to that, and we are continuing to do that.” He added, “And as long as our fans are out there embracing us, then we will keep going with it.”

Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake’s Romance Timeline: Meeting On ‘Mickey Mouse Club,’ Dating & More

News Writer

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were one of the hottest couples of the late ’90s and early aughts. Following Justin’s show of support for Britney after her conservatorship hearing, look back at their past romance.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were the prince and princess of pop in the late ’90s and early aughts. The two, who’d known each other since they were youngsters, had a highly publicized romance and an even more scrutinized breakup. Following Justin’s strong message of support for Britney amid her 13 year conservatorship and June 23 court hearing, take a look back at the one-time couple’s iconic romance.

How Did Britney & Justin Meet?

The cast of ‘The All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ [Everett].In 1992 Britney and Justin were cast on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. At the time, Britney and Justin were roughly 11 years old and were joined by other well known cast members like Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. The series ran from 1993-1996. By the time the series wrapped, Britney and Justin parted ways. Britney returned to Mississippi but eventually came back to New York City with aspirations of a singing career. Justin, meanwhile, became a member of the boy band NSYNC. As the respective stars began to find more and more success in their careers, their paths eventually crossed again.

When Did Britney & Justin Start Dating?

Justin and Britney started dating in 1999 [Mega].Britney and Justin started dating in 1999 and practically became pop music royalty. At the time that the two started dating, their careers had reached completely new heights. Britney’s hit tracks “Oops…I did It Again” and “…Baby One More Time” each were major successes with iconic music videos to boot. Justin and the boys of NSYNC became global sensations with their debut, self-titled album. Due to the success of both young stars, it was only a matter of time before they took the stage together.

Britney & Justin Performed On Stage

Justin and Britney perform with Aerosmith and more and the 2001 Super Bowl halftime show [AP].On January 28, 2001, fans of Britney and Justin were treated to a joint performance by the pair at the Super Bowl XXXV halftime show. NSYNC joined rock band Aerosmith on stage for a medley, before Britney and a slew of stars (Mary J. Blige and Nelly, among them) joined for a rendition of Aerosmith’s hit with Run DMC “Walk This Way.” The performance was totally electric, but the best was still yet to come from Justin and Britney.

Britney & Justin Attend The 2001 AMAs

Justin and Britney at the 2001 American Music Awards [AP].As their relationship progressed, Justin and Britney began making more public appearances at major industry events. One of the couple’s most iconic moments came at the 2001 American Music Awards in January 2001, just weeks before their joint Super Bowl performance. While walking the red carpet, Justin and Britney wore matching, head to toe denim outfits.

In the years since the pair walked the red carpet together, both have commented on the fashion choice. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Justin confessed that there were certain “regrets” he had when it came to his fashion sense in the early years of his career. “I confess that there was maybe a period in the ’90s where I could skip over some of the outfits that were public,” he shared.

Britney, on the other hand, looked back on the moment fondly. “I guess my denim was a hit years ago,” Britney commented on a photo of two toddlers recreating the outfit. But the denim-on-denim look wasn’t the only matching ensemble that Justin and Britney fashioned. During a charity basketball game in July 2001, the couple wore matching jerseys with the phrase “Stinky 1 1/2” on Justin’s jersey and “Pinky 1/2” on Britney’s jersey. While the two were known for their matching looks, they also brought out their individual style at events, as well.

Justin & Britney Attend The ‘Crossroads’ Premiere

Britney and Justin at the premiere of “Crossroads” in 2002 [AP].In February 2002, Justin supported Britney at the premiere of her film Crossroads, co-starring Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning. The two looked super cute together and held hands on the red carpet. Sadly, this was one of the last public appearances the two would make together before they went their separate ways.

Britney & Justin Breakup

Justin and Britney broke up in 2002 [Mega].By March 2002, Britney and Justin’s relationship ended, with the two confirming the news months after the fact. The couple’s split rocked pop culture, especially considering that the two were together for roughly three years. Although their relationship was officially over, the months to come would prove that both Justin and Britney had their romance and breakup on their mind.

Justin Releases ‘Cry Me A River’

Justin released “Cry Me A River” at the end of 2002 [AP].In December 2002, Justin released the song “Cry Me A River,” which included lyrics that heavily indicated a past relationship he had. The subsequent music video, however, caused an even bigger stir. The visual accompaniment to the song featured a Britney Spears look-alike, and insinuated that Britney had cheated on Justin during their relationship.

Britney Releases ‘Everytime’

Britney Spears released “Everytime” in 2003, a song rumored to be a response to “Cry Me A River” [AP].In 2003, Britney seemingly responded to the track with her own ballad. “Everytime,” a single off of her album In The Zone, took a more contemplative, soulful tone than what fans were accustomed to hearing from Britney. The singer has never confirmed or denied that the song is about her former flame, though fans to this day read into the lyrics as being about Justin and the former couple’s relationship.

Britney’s Interview With Diane Sawyer

Britney Spears sat down for a “Primetime” interview with Diane Sawyer in 2003 [Mega].Despite wanting to move on from her high-profile romance, Britney was still pressed about the end of her relationship with Justin. In 2003, she sat down with Diane Sawyer for a Primetime interview, in which Diane questioned Britney about the breakup, seemingly indicating that Britney “did something” to cause the romance to end. “He has gone on television and pretty much said you broke his heart,” Diane said. “You did something that caused him so much pain, so much suffering — what did you do?”

Britney was noticeably shaken by the questions and began crying during the interview. The exchange was featured in the documentary Framing Britney Spears, causing Britney’s loyal fans to request Diane apologize to Britney for how she treated her in the interview. Fans have also rallied around the pop star, showing her support and some disdain for her former flame, Justin.

Britney & Justin’s Relationship Today

Britney and Justin today [AP].In the years since their breakup, both Britney and Justin have gotten married, had kids, and more. Within the last year, Britney complimented Justin’s songwriting talents and the pair are seemingly on amicable terms. “Even though they aren’t going to be hanging out with each other anytime soon, they have no issues with each other,” a source shared EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife in April 2020. “[They] would be more than happy to be in the same room as each other. They are very cool with each other.”

Justin was subject to his past criticism of Britney in Framing Britney Spears — particularly due to creating a narrative that she cheated on him via his song and video “Cry Me A River.” In response to fan comments, Justin issued a public apology to Britney. “I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,” Justin wrote on Instagram on February 12. “I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny…I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,“ he added.

After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time.

The Justified singer once again spoke out in support of Britney after she spoke out in court against her on-going conservatorship. In her 24 minute testimony, Britney alleged that she was unable to have another child, was forced to tour in 2018, and put on drugs like lithium. “Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right,” Justin began via Twitter on June 23. “No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body,” he also said, making a direct reference to Britney’s claim that she is unable to remove an IUD that prevents pregnancy.

AJ McLean, Lance Bass, and more talked about the excitement of reuniting for the Bingo Under the Stars at The Grove event on June 18 and shared their opinions about a potential ‘boys of summer’ tour together.

Could we be seeing the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC on stage together for a special tour in the near future? It turns out it’s very possible, according to some members of the highly successful music groups.  AJ McLeanBrian Littrell, and Nick Carter, of BSB, and Lance Bass, of NSYNC, all commented on their bond as musicians and friends, and opened up about the potential for a collaboration together, in recent EXCLUSIVE interviews with HollywoodLife.

After reuniting with Joey Fatone for hosting duties and a performance at the Bingo Under the Stars at The Grove event in Los Angeles, CA on June 18, AJ, Lance, and Nick, gushed over being a part of the special night, which was in support of Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community, and revealed their openness about coming together for their fans after there’s been so many false rumors about a “rivalry” between them over the years.

“Back in the day, before there was social media, obviously press and media pitted us against each other when there really was no rivalry at all,” AJ said about the comradery between Backstreet Boys and NSYNC at the event. “Joey and I used to hang out together. We lived right down the street from one another. We have game nights. We’ve been hanging out. I’ve been to his wedding. We’re family! There is no rivalry. And tonight is definitely squashing any rumors that have been.”

“We’re in such a divided world right now so it’s nice to see two very public ‘enemies’ come together and show the world that we can all get along,” Lance added.
“That’s kind of the whole idea,” Nick agreed. “If you guys were a fly on the wall to see what it’s like when we were at Lance’s house practicing and doing choreography. The chemistry is unlike anything else that you could ever explain. I’ve known Joey and all of these guys for a really long time and just singing.”

“Even when I was talking to Lance, he really hasn’t performed or sang anything in a really long time and then we just started focusing on the harmonies of the two songs, the two biggest hits of ours and all of these things coming together,” he added about preparing for their performance that night. “It was so much fun. You could just really see the joy on our faces just to be entertaining again and just to be back.”
When asked about that possible collaboration, AJ teased he wouldn’t know what to call the group. “I’m not sure how well the name’s going to — We may need to work on the name a little bit. Syncstreet,” he said before Lance cheekily suggested, “NStreet.”

“I will say with the Backstreet Boys, we are working on some stuff this year, doing some music,” Nick said about current future music plans. “I haven’t been able to fully reveal it. You’ll hear about it in a big way very soon and then there’s going to be a very festive event that is attached later on in the year.”

In a separate interview on HollywoodLife’s TVTalk this week, Brian also commented on the potential for a Backstreet Boys and NSYNC tour and even threw out a name for it. “I don’t know. It’s a possibility,” he said during the video interview. “We’ve actually thrown around the idea. I think the fans, their fans are our fans, our fans are their fans. Some might be, some aren’t. It doesn’t matter. I think the music business is all coming together closer and closer and why not? We could call it the boys of summer tour and get out there and do some stadiums. I think it would be fun. Why not?”
Whether a tour or some kind of collab happens between two of the most beloved boy music groups out there or not, it’s clear to see that all the guys have an appreciation for each other and are grateful for their past and present, especially when they get to have a reunion on stage like they did on Friday.
“It was surreal,” Nick said about being back on stage with AJ, Lance, and Joey. “It’s like riding a bike, almost. I remember sitting there as we were singing one of the songs and I just had this smile on my face. It brought me back to the late 90s and reminded me of where we came from and I say these guys are the only people who kind of relate to a place in time and we share those same experiences together and so we have those conversations and we talk to each other and we all relate to one another.”

NSYNC’s Lance Bass is about to be a dad times two! He opened up about his excitement ahead of Father’s Day in this EXCLUSIVE new interview.

NSYNC‘s Lance Bass, 42, has a lot to celebrate this June: not only is he celebrating pride month with his LGBTQ community, he’s also getting ready to join the dad club with husband Michael Turchin, 34, this fall. “I am super excited!” Lance told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY on June 18. “We’ve been working on it for quite awhile now, so now that it’s happening, it’s starting to feel real! Now that everyone knows about it, it’s really feeling real. I just cannot wait until October.”

After a miscarriage and a handful of failed IVF transfers, Lance, who’s using a surrogate to carry the boy and girl twins, had trouble keeping his lips sealed. “Look, I have a big mouth,” Lance revealed. “It’s hard for me to keep things in and we’ve been doing this for 4 years, so it’s been very, very hard to keep it all in but I’m glad that we can finally talk about it… I feel like we needed the support of everyone because we went through so many ups and downs and it’s nice to feel like we’re a part of a community because we’re meeting so many couples who have gone through the process and had so many miscarriages before, so it’s a nice community that we found.”

And he’s already leaning on close friends in his dad community! Lance joined fellow NSYNC member Joey Fatone, 44, for an epic performance with Backstreet Boys members Nick Carter, 41, and AJ McLean, 43. It marked the first time ever both groups joined forces and it was all for a good cause: NSYNC and BSB wanted to celebrate pride with a special night of Bingo Under the Stars at The Grove in Los Angeles. The event which raised $1M in $TKINU Tokens for The Trevor Project on behalf of their involvement with Mission Tsuki.

Although Lance is celebrating and elated, he’s also little terrified of the unexpected. “There’s two!” Lance said of what scares him the most. “It’s double the trouble. I guess there’s no sleep when you have twins, which I’m fine with that. We’ve slept enough. We’re good. But I’m just excited because my husband’s a twin.”

With October only a few months away, he’s fully prepared to be by his surrogate’s side when she goes into labor. “Oh yes, I will be there, for sure,” Lance added. “The good thing is they’re twins so it’s a C-section so it won’t be a surprise, hopefully, unless they come early. I hope they don’t come early because I have to fly to a different state to do this. But yeah, I’m excited.”

Justin Timberlake visited Star Wars land at Walt Disney World for a family getaway with his son Silas, and shared a sweet video of them playing with light sabers.

Justin Timberlake summoned his inner Jedi on a Florida getaway with his mini-me son. The singer, 40, shared a video with his six-year-old son Silas as they ventured to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World in Orlando, where they built their own lightsabers, and were later seen battling with them!  “I don’t know who was freaking out more… me or my six year old,” Justin captioned his May 15 Instagram post. “This was the coolest. Big thank you to @waltdisneyworld for an amazing trip.”

Singer SZA commented, “I know that Aries baby of urs was LIVING AHAha. Lil rocket ship,” while Tom Brady wrote, “amazing” with a series of red heart emojis. Justin also took to his IG story to share a clip of them building the lightsabers, “When your six year old assembles his light saber twice as fast as you,” the father-of-two wrote. The former NSYNC singer shares Silas and their newborn son Phineas Timberlake with wife Jessica Biel.

Back in January, he opened up about raising the two youngsters, when he appeared on an episode of the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. “I try to be conscious of making sure we can live a life where we’re not weirdly private,” he said. “But we’re conscious of making sure they can be kids for as long as possible and not have the way of somebody else treating them differently because of something that their parents do.”

Meanwhile, Jessica recently revealed her two young sons are “besties”. “I think they are, I really do and I really was worried you just never know what’s going to happen and how your older one is going to feel about the little one,” she said during a May appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “[They] just think each other are so funny, and it’s so amazing to watch.”

Lance Bass says that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s new infant is absolutely adorable. The singer has revealed that all of JT’s *NSYNC band members, including himself, were first to know about the couple’s baby news.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel still haven’t confirmed that they welcomed a baby  in early summer, but their friends are gushing about it. As our readers know, R&B legend Brian McKnight, told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY on July 31 that the “Suit & Tie” singer had a “new baby” at home. Now Justin’s *NSYNC bandmate Lance Bass, 41, is talking about the 38-year-old’s second child with his 38-year-old actress wife, who are already parents to an adorable five-year-old son Silas.

“The baby is cute of course, it’s Justin and Jessica!” Lance told Entertainment Tonight on Sept. 25 while discussing his podcast, The Daily Popcast.  Like Brian, Justin wouldn’t go into details about if the couple had a girl or boy, a birthdate or what the new addition’s name is. But he did say that *NSYNC members were all aware of Justin’s second child being born and their group chat is now all about babies, including JT’s infant. “It’s been a fun celebration and they’re very very happy,” Lance adds.

News reports first surfaced on July 18, 2020 that Justin and Jessica had welcomed a baby boy into their lives after a top secret pregnancy. At the time the couple had not been photographed in public since March, around the time most of the country went into home lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple reportedly had been holed up at their home inside the private Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

Justin and Jessica have always been very private when it comes to their family. On social media, they make sure to never show Silas’ face in the rare instances that he does appear in Instagram photos. In a Father’s Day post on June 21, JT shared a number of photos with his little boy, showing that at one point he had long curly locks. In another photo, he held his son as the back of his short hair was showing. The singer wrote that “I’m grateful for my wife, who made me a father, and is my favorite person/partner/teacher/friend in all of it. I’m grateful for my son, who is always ALWAYS teaching me right back,” but made no mention of being a dad for a second time.

Brian confirmed to us that that Justin and Jessica had welcomed a new baby nearly two weeks after the reports of the child’s arrival surfaced. We also confirmed with a second source that the couple indeed had a new baby. Brian worked with Justin when he went solo in the early aughts, as well as during his NSYNC days in the 1990s. The “Anytime” singer and Justin go way back. He produced NSYNC’s album Celebrity in 2001, and Justin’s first solo album, Justified, in 2002.

R&B legend Brian McKnight confirmed in late July that Justin and Jessica welcomed a new baby. Photo credit: MEGA.

Brian explained why Justin’s music output had slowed down in recent years, with his last album being 2018’s Man of the Woods. “Having kids and having his family, I think [Justin] took some time to focus on those things because those things are very important,” Brian told us. “I think if he’s going to do music, he’s going to make sure that that’s secure, and then he’ll bring us into his music,” he continued. “And being inspired! He just had a new baby. I think that’s going to be really inspiring for him and he’ll have some new music based on that, I’m sure.”

Lance Bass advised the upcoming VMAs performers, such as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, ‘to enjoy every minute’ as he looked back on his awards experience with NSYNC, in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HL.

Lance Bass, 41, knows what it’s like to have the amazing opportunity to be a part of the MTV Video Music Awards and face the pressure that comes with attempting to give a fantastic performance, so he’s giving advice to some of the performers at this year’s virtual show, including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. The talented singer was a part of the mega popular boy band, NSYNC, who performed at the VMAs in past years, and he thinks the artists set to take the stage on Aug. 30 should take in every moment and give it their all.

“One, just enjoy every minute of it,” Lance EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife about what he’d say to Gaga and Ariana, in a recent interview. “I know it is a stressful time and you want to make the best performance but really sit back and enjoy the moment, because there are not many times that you’ll be able to do that in life. So understand why you are there and with MTV, the VMAs is all about the performance, and you always have to outdo your last performance so this is the one time that you should really go over the top and do something really cool and definitely something out of the box so people will be talking about it the next day.”

Gaga and Ariana fans are highly anticipating their VMAs performance and just as Lance advised, we’re sure it’s going to be epic. The singers teamed up for the new song “Rain On Me”, which was released earlier this year, and already made waves with the iconic music video in May. In addition to wearing brightly-colored metallic outfits in the video, they showed off their dance moves with different looks, and Ariana even let her hair out of her signature ponytail at one point!

“Rain On Me” is off of Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica, and since the song is already a dance hit, we can understand why it’s one of the most looked forward to performances at this year’s VMAs. The “Poker Face” singer let her Instagram followers know she was already excited for the appearance when she posted a photo of herself rocking her new aqua-colored hair on Aug. 28. “I’m so excited for the VMA’s I keep taking selfies 😐 @arianagrande 💕🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️IM A MONSTER #RainOnMe #chromatica,” she wrote in the caption for the post.

We can’t wait to see Gaga and Ariana rock the house at the VMAs! Although the show will be virtual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all the performers are planning on taking the stage at various locations in New York City and will have either a “limited audience” or none at all.

Nick Carter EXCLUSIVELY teases that a Backstreet Boys and NSYNC collaboration may finally be in the works.

Nick Carter, 40, and the Backstreet Boys put their 2020 DNA World Tour on hold until the COVID-19 outbreak slows down, but all this down time has gotten the pop star thinking about teaming up with other boy band members to give back, and it involves music. “Yeah, absolutely,” Nick told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY during an Instagram Live on May 21, when we asked him about teaming up with NSYNC and giving ’90s teeny boppers the moment they’ve all been waiting for. “It would be really, really cool to collaborate with other artists. Absolutely.”

Though nothing is officially happening just yet, Nick already has a few ideas in his head as to what a potential collaboration could look like. “I think you got to start maybe, maybe it’s a song,” Nick revealed from his Las Vegas backyard. “I had this idea recently that I was thinking about that I might talk to the guys about as well because I’ve been doing a lot of philanthropic things lately and finding ways to give back and using technology to help people and stuff like that and I thought it would be really cool to do like a ‘We Are The World’ song and find a specific charity, something that really would help people in time of need. We have all of the nurses and doctors and the first responders who are out there risking their lives on a daily basis, people like them, and just finding ways, trying to create new content. Maybe that would be a way to try to bring in groups like NSYNC, all the other boy bands and other artists. Maybe kind of come up with something because I believe that towards the end of the year, people are going to hopefully really want to come together and help each other and lift each other’s spirits up, but we’ll see! I’m just riffing right now!”

On May 19, the Backstreet Boys revealed they were being forced to postpone their 2020 DNA World Tour until 2021 because of social distancing measures. Despite this, Nick says they are trying to deliver new music before the year’s end, even if it has to be done virtually. “Yeah, we are doing Zoom calls, we are coming up with some really interesting things that haven’t been announced yet that we are able to do on our time off now,” Nick revealed. “Once things lighten up a little bit more, maybe we’ll be able to get back into the studio and if not, maybe we have to do a Zoom recording session. But really, we are touring our last album that we put out, DNA, and that’s really on the agenda. Maybe in 2021, we’ll think about some new music, but I think, maybe something will be coming, like I said, this holiday season.”

After a successful run at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nick reveals the band could very well return to the stage for another residency. From the sounds of it, they’re open to continuing the momentum with their fellow boy band friends when this pandemic ends to give the fans something to look forward to. “I fell in love with Vegas because we had done the residency for 2 years and it was very successful and we were very grateful for that,” Nick added. “Coming back would be definitely, I think really cool and something to do, but we were right in the middle of a world tour and it is a really great tour. DNA, it’s a big show, Backstreet Boys on top and the biggest production and all of these different things and people were really enjoying it and we were getting ready to do our second run but after that, it would definitely be really cool to come back to Vegas. I’m really good friends with all of the guys from NSYNC. It would be cool to do some stuff together with the guys from NSYNC.”

While Nick can’t wait to get back on the road, he currently is thankful to be safe at home with wife Lauren Kitt Carter, 36, and their children Otis, 4, and Saiorse, 7 months. He’s also been very busy with his own philanthropic work by teaming up with companies such as Voss Water and Happy Family Organics. “You just got to find interesting ways to give back and Voss decided along with me maybe we could deliver some water to Brooklyn Mt. Sinai Hospital and all of the doctors and nurses were really appreciative and happy just to be thought of,” Nick said. “Those are the ways that you have to find, just unique ways to give back when really, what I would love to do and have done when we have free time is I’ll go visit hospitals with the guys, we’ll go hand out food to people. Just being there and showing them that you actually care that you go there and do these things is important but we can’t right now so you’re using technology and using your platform to speak to give back.”

[Video Intro: Henock Sileshi, Kevin Abstract & Robert Ontenient]
F***, s***! (*laughter*)
F***! (*coughing*)
Ah-ha-ha, I didn’t—ha-ha-ha, ah! F***!
I didn’t know it was gonna—hehe
I didn’t know it was gonna hit your dick
Ah, damn that shit {bleep}
Me llamo Roberto
Wait, what? That’s a “Roberto”?

[Verse 1: Matt Champion]
Stripped down to my skin and my bones
I love huskies but I feel like a wolf (howw!)
In a pack but I feel all alone
I’m scatterbrained man, better offer the clone
In Tejas apartments with racists doin’ weird shit
Like, this’ll make the biopic (haha)
Rile ’em up, hit Zaxby’s, get the wing and tings (yum)
Real quick bills still stacking to the ceiling (uh-oh)
Whatchu mean, it ain’t working? (what?)
Whatchu mean, you ain’t finding yourself? (oh, I am, I’m trying)
Whatchu mean, you ain’t got no cash? (I got a little bit)
Whatchu mean? Whatchu mean?
Shouldn’t your pockets be big just like a fat chick? (uh-huh)
Shouldn’t your mama be done paying the house off? (I guess)
Shouldn’t you have a real big-ass ego? (no)
Shouldn’t these girls be flockin’ just like seagulls? (eh)

[Chorus: Kevin Abstract]
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit

[Verse 2: Dom McLennon]
The original lick-splickety, higher than Yosemite
Breaking the mold mentally, master with no limiting
Making ’em say “ugh!”, they worshipping our force viciously
Watching the floor tip in your temple of authenticity
Often they say I’m off it, I offer my crossed empathy
They forgot what we on, I’ll remind ’em with hostility
Hot-diggity damn, everyone running scams
Gotta cover your clams and take another glance
Running a clinic, no scans, ain’t no one claimin’ yo mans
It’s all pertaining to plan, call me the architect
Lap you in a UFO, I haven’t started yet
Still gotta figure out exactly where to park it at
Moses with the pen, each line an ocean I can part it at
But that’s too deep

[Verse 3: Merlyn Wood]
Don’t call me stupid, that ain’t the way my name pronounced
Don’t call me Cupid, I got too many hoes right now
Poolside in Houston, tryna see if Beyoncé’ll take me for adoption
Broke-ass rich suburbs, a civilian shot in 3rd Ward, we just by the fountain
This is Merlyn Wood, man, everywhere I go is the Woodlands
I need a honeybutter, vodka in a Sprite can
When I’m in the Whataburger, all the kids know who I am
I need a honeybutter, puttin’ lean in my Sprite can

[Chorus: Kevin Abstract]
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit

[Verse 4: Ameer Vann]
I got a record but I’m clean as they come
I’m Godzilla, when they see me they run
On 37th, used to run from the bloods
The undercovers gotta duck when they come
I moved out and in a couple of months
I’ma be a pop star, they call me a thug
I used to write raps on the back of the bus
Now I’m in the front seat shifting the gears

[Verse 5: Joba]
It’s funny how things can change
Three hundred dollars to my name, left to Hollywood
I was living off Ramen and change
Five hundred dollars on these dinners, never have to pay
Growing up my teachers told me
“You better get them grades up if you wanna finish high school
And after high school, you better get a degree
‘Cause it’s a dog-eat-dog world, you could live in the street”
Flashback, I had my Walkman in the minivan
Listening to NSYNC, saw my name on the CD
Bleach blond tips, wanted to be JT
Wanted to do big things, had to fulfill a dream
One might say I was doomed from the get-go
But those same people assume, ’cause they’ll never know
What it’s like to be called to what’s not set in stone
I am one with the ebb and flow, that’s all I know

[Chorus: Kevin Abstract]
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin’ me out like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin’ me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin’ me out like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice on my boys and my wrist is fixed
I don’t need nobody tryna give me shit

Justin Timberlake Announces “Man of The Woods” Album Release Date

Justin Timberlake revealed the release date for his new album Man of the Woods.

The singer stunned fans earlier this week when he abruptly announced that he is dropping a new album on February 2nd. It’s been close to five years since the release of Timberlake’s last album, “The 20/20 Experience“, which was released in 2013. In March of last year, Timberlake tweeted “It’s on it’s way” and followed up in November to say the new album would be different.

Timberlake credits the new album to his family, “the album is inspired by my wife, son, family and more so than any other album that I have ever written, where I’m from and it is personal.” The pop icon who was born and raised in Tennessee has fans wondering if he has put a country twist to his new music.

On the way…

— Justin Timberlake (@jtimberlake) March 9, 2017

Justin Timberlake came on the music scene in 1995 as a member of the successful pop group NSYNC. He went solo in 2002 with his debut album “Justified” which landed him a Grammy Award. He sold more than seven million copies of that album worldwide. The singer continues his journey with his second album “FutureSex/LoveSounds” in 2006.

Timberlake is not only known for his melodious voice but has also proved himself to be a talented actor. He landed rolls in films such as: Alpha Dogs (2006), The Social Network (2010) and In time (2011).

For his new album, Timberlake is working with the likes of Timbaland, The Neptunes, Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton.
